| The sun lazily hit the lake, making its way slowly into the Slytherin common room. Raistlin was alone in his private Head of House chamber. When the greenish light reached his face he woke up. He was looking calm, the night had given him the chance to plan his duel movements. Opening his closet he took his duels clothes. A cotton dark-green full-length robe with silver embroidered velveteen cuffs and separate hood trimmed in silver and black. Runes alongside the cuffs saying âGods Protectionâ. He had spent long hours studying runes trying to find the best combination thatâd give him a good protection until he had finally discovered it. That particular set of runes helps him to avoid minor spells by more easily dodge them.In the other side of the room, opposing to his closet was a huge cupboard. Opening one of its drawers he took a saddlebag with Acacia leaves. Then from the top of the cupboard he took a small bottle labeled âDead Manâs Bloodâ and an Invigoration Draught. Carefully he placed the saddlebag around his waist attached to his belt and the bottles carefully in pockets inside his robe. Then without a sound he left the room and headed towards the duel chambers. He walked silently through several HE students on the way. No one dared to speak to him. Finally he reached the door that lead towards the chamber where he ought to fight. Without fear or hesitation he opened the door. He was to duel his wife and he knew she is not one for small little tricks, sheâs one to go straight and hard to her goal. However also as he expected, the room was empty. She had not appeared yet. âTypicalâ he thought.Surveying the room with one long look he then closed the door. He looked at it. HE castle had no âweakâ doors but this one was especially grand. It was made of strong oak and had a respectful thickness. Gold hand door knob, 20 feet high and 10 feet long. He took some steps from it and with an arch wand movement spelled âПодделанный Металл (Forged Metal in Russian)â. Instantly both the door and the wall around it became thick metal. The door was now useless. He knew thatâd not stop Marie from entering but it should annoy her a little bit he hoped.Raistlin was happy with the duel chamber he had been given. It was one of the biggest ones, rectangular shaped. It was half the size of a Quidditch pitch, heâd be able to do a lot of moves there. He headed towards one of the lateral walls and took his bottle of Dead Manâs Blood. Uncorking it he put one of his fingers inside and started to draw a human-sized pentagram. When he finished the bottle was empty, tipping it with the wand he spelled âEVANESCOâ and the bottle vanished. That pentagram was a last resource if things got really ugly to his side. Though he knew if he let the pentagram exposed Marie would see through his plans and destroy it. A chameleon spell was the only solution, pointing his want to the pentagram he casted âGjemt Hensikter (Hidden Intentions in Norwegian)â. The pentagram was only an intention if things go wrong, not an actual threat right now, thatâs why that spell could work on it.Raistlin placed himself in the far end of the room facing the door. He pointed his wand towards the wall opposed to where the pentagram had been drawn and shouted âBOMBARDAâ. Raistlin had purposely placed himself far from where the spell hit the wall to so it wouldnât hit it hard it would break it, just enough to make dust fly across the room. Quickly before the dust would settle, he casted âPetrificação (Petrification in Portuguese)â. All dust particles connected and formed a wall dividing the room in two. Continuing he casted another spell towards the dust wall âTrasparenza (Transparency in Italian)â and the wall seemed to vanished as it was clearer as a glass wall would be, it was almost as there was no wall there. Raistlin allowed himself a smile. The wall wasnât very thick though. Moving his wand in wave movements he casted one last spell to the wall âゴム表面 (Rubber surfaces in Japanese)â the wall should now be able to bounce back a few spells before giving in he hoped.Raistlin realized he had no shield on him yet. He thought about his favorite cooling shield the Ice Crystals Web and decided to make a change on it. Swirling his wand around himself he casted â反复思考血腥的钻石网 (Revolving Bloody Diamonds Web)â. From the air small diamonds appeared around him and with a sudden movement they moved under his clothes and pierced into his skin, Raistlin couldnât help out from letting out a small scream even though he was waiting for that. The process took about 5 minutes but now Raistlin had tiny moving diamonds on his skin. Diamonds are the hardest stones there is and one of the hardest materials in the world so it should give him a good protection. Also the movement would allow deflecting some more direct spells if he got hit.To finish Raistlin had only one last thing to do. A truth spell. Closing his eyes he recited the incantation:Truth Spell (Click To Listen)Truth Spell.mp3âFor those who want the truth revealedOpen their hearts and secrets unsealedFrom now until is now againAfter which the memory endsFor those who come to my presenceOnly truth will be spoken and heard in each sentence.âWith that spell everyone, him included, in that room would be compelled to tell truth. It was a high risk to make, especially as he had something to hide like the pentagram but he was expecting to be able to use it in his favor even though in terms of telling the truth and dealing with words his wife is clearly superior. What was done was done he only had to wait now. | |
