Hospital Wing

"Yes George, Shadow wasn't joking, but I'll let it slide this time." Raven said.

"I warned her...I tried to reastrain...but she big fat went to your dimension anyway," said Natalie.

"Shadow's always had a determined mind." Raven said.

"Determined is one word for it," Holly muttered, but she did not say such a thing unkindly.
She was just as arrogant as Shadow.

"There probably wasn't anything you could do about it." Raven said.

"Dont balme yourself Nat," Holly agreed, privately thinking they were all to blame.

"She blocked our mind connection when I tried to connect...I tried so hard to keep her safe," said Natalie, frowning

"She was probably trying to keep you safe as well. Battles aren't pretty things like duels where you can call a time out." Raven said.

"True," Holly said, as if she were wise.

"You're not mad at me, are you Raven?" Natalie asked.

Raven shook her head.
"There was probably nothing you could have done."

"What happened to her?" Natalie asked.

"Well Natalie. I think she got hurt,"

"That's not what I mean...I mean how did you get hurt?" Natalie asked.

Holly smiled a little. She knew what Natalie had meant.
"Well?" Holly demanded.

Natalie waited for Raven to answer patiently.

Raven sighed.
"Ok, Shadow appeared to the outskirts of the battle and went straight in to fight. The enemy saw that she was already injured and knew that she could seriously harm their chances of winning, so they ganged up on her."

Hayley grimaced. "She'll be okay though, won't she?" she said hopefully.

"It's hard to tell." Raven said.

Hayley clenched her fists together in worry. "I hope so..." she muttered.

Raven watched, biting her lip as Madame Pomfrey cleaned Shadow up.

Hayley smiled comfortingly at Raven.

Raven returned a strained smile, obviously worried.

"She'll be fine....she's strong..." Hayley said, trailing off.

"She's badly injured." Raven said.

"And strong," Holly added.

Raven bowed her head, sighing. Shadow opened her eyes slightly.

Holly looked up sharply.
"Shadow? Shadow?"
She stood up and peered over at her.

Shadow stared in front of her, not focusing on what was there.

"Shadow? Sha- dooo? Yo- Shizz dawg?"
Holly shrugged.

Raven raised an eyebrow, and Shadow coughed violently, holding her ribs, ignoring the pain until the fit subsided.
"Ouch." She muttered.

Holly swore in German.
"Ragin," she said, "But at least you are alive,"

"Barely, I feel like the entire pegusi heard just ran over me." Shadow said weakly.

Natalies smiled warmly.

"Sorry I didn't try harder to hold you back," she said quietly, "but I am glad you're ok."

"Well, it's gonna hurt in the morning, and to be honest, we still won the battle!" Shadow said.

"Is the war over?" Natalie asked hopefully.

Shadow and Raven looked at Natalie with one eyebrow raised.
"Not. Even. Close." They said in unison.

"Ah...well...it was worth a shot," said Natalie, grinning sheepishly.

Shadow tried to sit up, but found that it was exceedingly painful. She sighed, staring at the ceiling.

"It looks like you're going to be here for a while Miss Roth," said Madam Pomfrey, "and these are enchanted wounds, so all I can do is clean them up a bit, and pray they heal."

"They will heal...won't they?" Natalie asked nervously.

"In time....but she needs to rest alot and drink plenty of fluids," replied the matron sternly.

Shadow swore in Synari, earning herself a glare from Raven.
"I. Will. Not. Stay. Here." Shadow said firmly, struggling to get up.

"Yeah...you go girl," said Natalie quietly, grinning.

Raven glared at Natalie.
"Don't encourage her." She said sternly, pushing Shadow back down.

"Sorry for helping her try and have some fun," snapped Natalie, scowling now.

Raven glared.
"She nearly died, and would have if she wasn't half demon, and if the medics hadn't gotten to her in time!" She spat.

"Well sorry for helping her live," said Natalie, faintly exasperated.

"I don't need Shadow dead!" Raven said, fury evident in her eyes.

"Fine," Natalie said, scowling, "but it's not cool the yell in a hospital Raven."

Holly moved in between them in case they wanted to "take this outside".
"Chill kids," she said, holding her hands up.

Jamie roled in literally,
