The following is what you must do to plan your pantomime for that all-important performance!

-Decide amongst yourselves who will take what role. There are, of course, going to be some roles that are bigger than others. But as it is your pantomime, you can give even the smallest role something amazing to do! Submit to me by PM who will be taking which role by the 8th December!

-Come up with the parts to the story using the character's you've been given. You may find it helpful to look at the following website, which has several scripts for this pantomime: http://www.lazybeescripts.co.uk/

-At least two songs should be written by you (they can be to the tune of an existing song, but the words must be of your own invention). The songs will then be used in the performance!

-A slapstick scene must be designed for incorporation into the performance!

-Costumes thought up for each character - these can be dolls, hand-drawn or computer created. Each person should design their individual costume.

-A programme designed that consists of at a page per person in the group (will be posted during the performance).

-Pops in- Woah, I just got like majorly excited there for a minute. This should be quite fun -nods- So, now for my ideas..

I would absolutely adore playing the Princess. I actually played her in a pantomime-esq roleplay a while back. It, unfortunately died, but I did love her character dearly. However, I would not mind playing Prince Charming, or one of the other characters, really -nods- -Does have quite a bit of expierience roleplaying.-

And, I was thinking- maybe we should get together the progam/costumes and general plot like in one forum. Or maybe like a website- we could set up a freewebs account. I could help with coding, but it has been quite a bit. We can have a page dedicated to the programme (maybe jasc it somehow? hmm...anyone have any expierience) then we can turn the page. OH! We can make the cover look like a old fairy tale book. I can do that, if you wish. With gems, and everything- woot. Then, on the programme have a page for the general plot, title page, then one dedicated to each character with a bit about the cast? With those black and white pictures, maybe? Or, we could always disguise it as a playbill. You know? Hmm, it would be nice to try to keep it consistent though, you know?

But, yeah, that's all I have right now. I might end up editing this post in a bit, after my mind wanders some more....XD I am sure someone else could come up with ideas far more brilliant than mine. XD

Woot; Anyway, I noticed on the same site there are different versions. I am currently in the middle of the third version(clicketh) which seems to be my favorite so far- although I really only have read bits and pieces....So, um, yeah...

Oh, and the whole page thing; if jasc is not available; I(or someone else, if they wish) can just code it so that you click the page and it goes to the next. XD.

Hm, might we go for the whole "fairy tale retold thing?" Like, has anyone ever read Just Ella? (-notes its the more popular of the such) Like where things do not turn out as planned. Or, we can take some ideas from like that new movie, Enchanted- come to real life. Hmm, although the clasics are always fun -nods- -notes that would most likely be the easiest-

Oh! I could help you with the program also. Maybe we should get a base done so that people can post their own information on their page; then ask them to summit them by a certain date. Whatever is not done, we split between us so neither has too much work to do? I do think the script should be our main concern for the next few days but I think getting started on the rest should happen soon; instead of leaving things last minute.We are still waiting for seven people to choose their parts; but I think maybe we should start now. Anyone care to begin an outline?

I sometimes write poetry though I am not very good so *not it* XD

I don't have time right now to write it out or outline, but I will help with ideas. I think it should be comical cause well who doesn't like humor lol. Though of course not too humorous so we can do those more darker scenes without to much contrast.

I agree with getting the base done though I think we should have everyone write their page on here or in a PM so that way we can use the same font on the page so not everyone has to deal with downloading it. Then I can just add it on there.

I am going to PM all the members of the group who havent posted on here so they know its here.

Can I be the Fairy Queen? xD and I wont mind helping to write the script rather then er songs/poems and graphics are not my thing... If there was someone else (or a few someones) who'd want to work on the script also, we could get together on MSN sometime and work it out on there then...

I really like the idea of making the playbill a fairytale book and planning it just as said before:

I do agree, a script would take too long. Maybe just a general starting point, and ending point. We could always seperate it into two acts and have a general starting/conclusion for each. I think a general outline would be what we need. Then when we do it, we can go from there.

I'm not sure if we should base it off of any which one. I think we need to first decide on a general story; then we each can develop out characters to form with eachother. Oh! Idea! What if we give each a certain personality? Like Briar-Rose could be either the classic "Mary-Sue" or maybe the Dumb Blonde? Then maybe one of the Fairies could be like the "Gangster"? And have the bubbly one; and maybe like an emo character. Something to make it a bit funny? Hilarity is always good...-nods-

I do like the idea of having Sleep Beauty as a dumb blonde and non-sterotypical fairies. Should we do it based sort of on disney but with a twist? That might be easier because it's so familiar we could take the main storyline out of that and make it our own.

Hmm, most likely not. However, if you wanted to, you can play around with an old English accent or something. -nods- But, whatever you feel like -nods- XD

Well, you could have an arguement with one of the characters or something during your narrating just to have something interesting xd or you can have a rambling moment and have the King or someone wave a broom in the air and get your attention back.

Ex.

Narrator: And then suddenly the door slammed open and darkness filled the ballroom as someone took a step closer and closer and closer to the king. Someone so vile, someone so awful, someone so dark that you can barely distinguish her from the night. Yes, it was the Evil Fairy from-

Raist: It's Fairyman!! How many times do I have to tell you?!? FairyMAN!

Narrator: You're told me I just decided to ignore it...*sniffs*

Raist: Oh! Why I ought to...You wait until I die at the end of the story!! Then I'll give you what's coming!

Narrator: Oh, I'm so scared...*yawns* You're lucky I didn't call you the Dark Fairy wanna-be now hush so I can continue before I kill you off now...

Raist sulks and stays quiet.

Hehe just something I had off the top of my head XD but you get the point...lol

Hmm, I am leaving tomorrow night for a huge swim meet this coming weekend. I should be back sometime Sunday. I started the cover, but I have to do it almost completely custom so it's going to take a bit longer. However, I promise to have it done as soon as I can. Also, I reccommend us getting to work a bit more on the script. The other group is beginning to catch up XD. If puppet_master does not come in the next few days or so, are we just going to surrender the role? I think the fairies should have similar styles. As in modern, historical, or those typical little costumes that blend with nature. I vote modern cause those would be fun.

Yeah but I think that they should be like opposite to the fairies personalities. Like if there's an goth/emo fairy it hsould be wearing a pink fluffy dress. I also think that all our costumes should be consistant. Like if someone does a doll we should all do a doll. So yeah.
