Press Conference: Rigby Dumbledore

This is the thread for Rigby Dumbledore's press conference. In this thread you will be fielding questions asked by the press (myself) and judged on how well you handle it.

So come in, get yourself settled behind a microphone, and await the first journalist...

Rigby stepped into the room, feeling overdressed and self concious. She smoothed her hair for what had to be the hundreth time. She crossed to the podium, picked up her microphone and practiced her best smile. Now all she had to do was wait for the questions to begin.

"Kate! Kate! Over here!" Shouted a blonde journalist at the back of the room, "How do you feel about your acts? Do you think they stand a good chance?"

Rigby froze slightly, as Lily and Nancy had gone AWOL on her. How to answer the question diplomatically? She smiled a Julia Roberts worthy grin.

"Well, of course I think one of my acts is going to win, with so many talented people involved in this event, I think you're going to see something special from my acts."

Gosh, I sound like a politician, she thought. Shrugging inwardly, and blinking into the flash of the lights, she pointed to the next reporter.

The reporter nodded, and though others tried to speak, she went further with her questioning.

"Rigby, it can perhaps be said that some of your acts have made a poor showing recently. Do you have anything to say about this?"

Rigby took a deep breath, and forced out an answer, big smile still in place.

"All of my acts are quite talented, however creative people can often have trouble focusing. The question is how hard do you push someone? A few of my acts, it is true, are not as focused as would be expected. But on the other hand, Dancingsunset has both tremendous talent and drive. Those two traits are essential to the human spirit in order to acheive great success. Talent will only take you so far, the rest is pure ambition."

Gryffindor Rules.

"Rigby," said a reporter, "you're Head of Ravenclaw house. Do you think your leadership in that area has helped you as a mentor?"

The press conference is now over, and scores will be up shortly.
