| Rigby stood outside the dueling room. Cautiously she put a hand to the door. It was cool to the touch, so she placed her ear against it, listening. No sound, no movements could be heard. It appeared that her opponent wasn't yet in the room, but Rigby was not taking any chances. Shucking off her shoes she quickly opened the door and threw each shoe in an opposited direction before slamming the door shut.
She pressed her ear against the door again, but the only sound that came to her was her large, chunky tennis shoes hitting the floor. Rigby grasped her wand securely in her right hand and ventured in. After all, there was always some risk involved in dueling.
The room she entered was large, white and empty. The ceiling was high and the floor was wooden. Hmm, gonna have to do something about this, she thought.
Once she had her shoes firmly on her feet, Rigby withdrew a small pouch from her pockets. She normally did not use any extra items in dueling, but there was nothing in the room that she could transfigure. In her pouch she only had a few leftovers from Herbology class, and she sifted through them, trying to come up with a plan. Finally she with drew a small handful of dirt and some acorns.
She tossed the dirt onto the floor. She pointed her wand at the dirt and shouted. " Abundo Conspurco!" (Grow Dirt).
Soon the dirt began to fill the entire floor, about a foot deep in all directions. Rigby had to jump up, almost loosing her right shoe, in order to keep from getting leg locked in the dirt. Grabbing the acorns she quickly cast a duplication spell so that she now held close to three dozen in her hands. She carefully placed them strategically through out the dirt.
Rigby stepped over to an area that was free of acorns and whipped out her wand once more. Pointing it to the ground she yelled," Effloresco!" (Bloom)
Quicker than she would have thought possible, trees burst out of the dirt, racing to the ceiling. A few grew so fast and big that they burst through the cieling. Uh, oh, going to have to remember to fix that before I leave, Rigby thought.
Rigby tramped over to the nearest tree, and climbed up it. She went high enough to be out of sight, but not to high that she couldn't keep an eye on the door. Now it was time to add her finishing touch. Pointing at the ground she shouted, " Eluvies!" (Flood).
Water gushed from her wand tip, waterfalling to the ground. The water rose quickly, reaching the full heigt of the room's door. Hopefully, if all went well, when June opened the door the water would sweep her away, giving Rigby time to move on to phase two.

| //Rigby: I'm so very sorry for posting so late. I had intended to post much earlier, but for the past two weeks, I've kinda been on an emotional rollercoaster and I haven't really felt up to it. I'm really really really sorry... I owe you now; feel free to ask me if you need a favor any time in the future.\\
June really needed a desk. Or preferably, a wall. She could imagine it right now: a rectangular piece of new red brick, floating in front of her as she walked. Now, if only she could make her vision into reality. She really needed a wall. June sighed softly as she rushed through the current corridor, heading for the dueling room. Inside her head, she was cursing herself for being so late, for procrastinating so much, for just... being doggone late! She felt so utterly stupid and hoped that Rigby would forgive her. Which was why she needed a wall. Right now. For some strange reason or other - maybe it was because she had been so stupid?! - June felt the need to headdesk. Only it would be headwall-ing. Huh... she wondered how that would work out.
She reached the wide door that was the entrance to the dueling room and dismissed her wonderings for the moment. So what if she didn't have her perfect piece of wall with her at the moment? She had a door and though a wall would have been preferable... oh well. June brought out her wand and, before she thought about entering the room, proceeded to headdoor once, twice, three times. She brought her head up for a fourth time, but stopped before her forehead reached the wooden paneling of the door. Was that... the sound of rushing water? June froze for a moment and frowned, leaning closer to the door, placing her ear against it. It might not be water... but... it sounded faintly like it. Since she was so late, June automatically assumed that Rigby had already arrived, and June had no idea what the renowned Ravenclaw had already done to prepare the room. June wasn't sure if it was water or something else causing the sound, but she wanted to be safe, just in case.
She raised her wand, pointing it at the door. "Vetro lastra (glass pane)," she said and waited as a pane of clear glass spread over the door, eventually sealing itself to the wall, creating a large door-shaped windowpane. "Interno Evanesco (internal vanishing-spell)," June continued, jabbing her wand towards the pane and the door that it covered. Instantly, the door vanished and June shrieked as she brought up her hands, forgetting that she had a wand to protect herself. After a moment, when water hadn't come crashing down on her, she slowly brought down her hands and opened her eyes. Ohhh...
Thanks to the pane of glass, the water hadn't come crashing down on her and remained sealed as if the door had only been turned transparent, but thanks to the transparency of the glass, June had been almost sure that she was done for. She stared in amazement at what her spell had revealed. Water rose up as high as the eye could see, until she ventured as close as possible to the glass and stared up. Then, she saw that it stopped a bit above where the door had been, but that didn’t comfort her very much. Upon further examination, June saw that dirt covered the floor, and that trees rose, some of them higher even then the water reached. June backed away from the glass and stared ahead of her. What to do, what to do…
Waving her wand around herself, June spun around and said, “ Filatura schermo (spinning shield)!” She stopped spinning and looked around herself. She had created a bubble shield that spun quickly around her, so quickly that it only looked as if the air was vibrating, as if watching a heat mirage. Her shield, while allowing her to cast spells out, would, by virtue of its speed and spinning movement, deflect spells and objects that came her way. Sadly, her shield couldn’t rebound spells back to their casters, but it was still quite useful nonetheless. Hoping that her shield would hold, June pointed towards the pane of glass, the only thing separating her from the torrents of water that threatened to cascade down on her.
“Reducto!!!” June shouted, hoping against hope that her shield would hold. She stared ahead as the pane of glass exploded, and fought against the instinct to close her eyes as the water seemed to freeze in place for a moment, before crashing down on her. June shuddered as the element appeared to move in slow motion, and she superstitiously crossed her fingers. The sound of water crashing down the corridor could be heard, and June’s mouth formed an O of surprise and relief as she watched the water spinning away from her. It had been kept at bay by her shield. Thank… god… June exhaled a shuddering breath and wrapped her arms around herself. That had been, for lack of a better word, very very scary. She looked down at the floor; it was wet, but June didn’t think that she would slip. Well, she hoped not, anyway.
She slowly walked into the room while keeping her wand in front of her. Rigby wasn’t anywhere in sight… June looked around, slowly turning. She hoped her friend wasn’t invisible; during the last tournament, June had had quite enough of people turning themselves invisible, herself included. June turned her head up, scanning the ceiling and the tall trees, noticing that a few of the plants had even broken the ceiling. An un-tree-like dot caught June’s eye, but it was too far up for her to be able to identify what it was. “Svolazzare (hover),” June whispered, pointing towards her feet. Slowly, she became to float up into the air. Gaining confidence – she hadn’t used this spell in a while – June became to float upwards faster, until she suddenly wobbled and gasped. Maybe now was a good time to remember that slow and steady wins the race, so June reverted to her original speed.
She neared the dot and as she grew closer, June grinned. It was, indeed, Rigby. Glancing at the tree that the Ravenclaw was sitting in, June pointed her wand towards some of the smaller, more flexible branches, and said, “Intrappoli (ensnare).” If the spell remained undeflected, then the branches that June had pointed at would rise up and capture Rigby.
