| This discussion goes hand in hand with the class Mirror Mirror. I would like to regard both as fun and easy.
Now I would like you to discuss how you feel about human transfiguration.Think about these questions. You don't have to answer them all but it will give you more housepoints. Would you do it? Would you have a friend do it? Do you think the results out weighs the risk? Why do you think you have to wait until 6th year to be taught. How could you possibly practice this?
There is a total of 50 points available for this discussion with 10 points going to the house with the most particiapnts and 15 points going to the student who, in my opinion, did the best.

| I would most definalty would do human transfiguration. It would be cool to turn myself or someone else into something else, perferably something alive. I would not like to be turned into a chair, where would the fun be in that. I would only have a friend on mine do it to me if I knew for sure that they knew how to do human transfiguration, afterall I would later like to be me again. I would not want to risk me being a chair for the rest of my life or until someone decides taht the chair is no longer useful and throws me into a fire. I think taht they wait til your a sixth year because you had about six years of expierence just turning little things into something else little and as the years went on you turned bigger things into other bigger things until finally you reach the year where you are able to turn your freind into a chair. Also they wouldnt have a first year doing human transfiguration becuase they wouldnt know what they were doing. They had after all just gotten thier wand and are just learning how to use it. By the time your a sixth year you should know how to use your wand correctly and be able to perform hard spells | |

| I would do the human transfiguration but in my opinion it is unfair for other people who is transfigured. I would only used it when it is really needed in situation such as fighting with Death Eater or when you are in danger. I would only let my friend transfigures me if it is really needed and only if i am sure that they are good at it. I don't want to be changed into a something horrible and unable to changed back into myself. The result can be horrible if your friend isn't very good at Transfiguration, so i would rather not take the risk. The reason of waiting till year 6 is well I agreed with stephy. A first year student has started using ward and if you let first year student use Transfiguration... horrible things happened just like in harry potter 1 year (movie) someone did it something and boom !!! so year 6 is a good idea as student are experienced using their wand . | |

| I love human transfiguration n I'ld do it but letting a friend do tat, I dun 've tat much fate, I'ld rather do it myself. It's risky as it's quite illegal as everyone has they right to keep their own style as well as there is no turning back to ur original if u dun remember everything. u might stuck in some git look forever. Well, I guess 6th year in Mature enough to decide if they should use or not. Could practice on myself . | |

| Would you do it? I would be to scared I would mess up.
Would you have a friend do it? Sure if they want.
Do you think the results out weighs the risk? Not for me. I am one of those if there is a 1 out of a million chance of something going wrong I won't do it. Unless of course it is one of those natural things I grow up being used to. Like riding in a car, but I am too scared too drive one.
Why do you think you have to wait until 6th year to be taught? So that way you are more matured. Most first years wouldn't pay close attention and would be careless.

| Would you do it?
Most likely, no way. There would just be so much risk, and I wouldn't want to take it - I'd rather look like I do now than be stuck with purple-tinged skin or something for the rest of my days XD
Would you have a friend do it?
I would caution him or her to not, but it would be their decision in the end.
Do you think the results out weighs the risk?
Sure, if you can pull it off than it's a cool bit of magic. But for the average witch or wizard, no, it's not.
Why do you think you have to wait until 6th year to be taught?
The maturity levels of sixth years is much higher than the younger children. Also, by fifteen/sixteen, students' featuers are nearly matured. This may help with the transfiguration process?
How could you possibly practice this?
VERY CAREFULLY. You would have to practice in the presence of someone, preferably the Transfiguration professor, who knows how to successfully transfigure humans.

| Would you do it? I would prctice it with extreme cation, but if needs be, I would tranfigure myself or another object Would you have a friend do it? I would try my uptomost to persude them not to, but most of my friends are so strongly dedicated, that if they set their hearts on it, a person, no matter how vaild their arguments are, they would always precced Do you think the results out weighs the risk? It is a difficult branch of magic for even the most experienced magicl person to accheive. But if used correctly, yes I think the results could outweigh the risk. Why do you think you have to wait until 6th year to be taught? Because if a younger person could use and learn the skill, they may use it in such an irresponsible way that it could be dangerous to both themselves and the victim of the tranfiguration, and irreversible. How could you possibly practice this? With a definate air of caution, and ony with an experinced person with me until I'm confident.

| Would you do it?
Not untill I finish school and am an expert at transfig. Would you have a friend do it?
No, and I would hurt them if they tried.
Do you think the results out weighs the risk?
If you are really good at it.
Why do you think you have to wait until 6th year to be taught?
Because you're better than other students.
How could you possibly practice this? Start small, use cups or plants of some sort, and work your way up.
