Real names or site names?

This came up in a talk around here xD

Do you prefer to use site names/nicknames when talking to someone from HE, or do find out their real name and use that one?

I was just thinking about making a topic, Cris.

Ah see, I called you your real name!

I alternate. Some people I call by their real names, but there are others who I call by their site names and it seems strange to call them by their real name.

I call them by their site name they same under real name, and if they don't have anything there then their username

Cris will always be Cris to me :D

Now, Elfie, I call her Elfie on the site. But whenever we're talking outside the site, she's Sharon.

Amy is Amy unless I feel like mocking her duckness, in which case she goes back to being Ducky.

But all in all... it depends on the person! I mean, I know most of you don't call me by my real name. Amy does... Elfie does. Marie does. But nope, I'm just Swifty... or Swifters... or Swiftums... or Swiftyshki... XD

Some people call me Ginny now that I think about it...but most people call me Cassie or Cass. I've noticed no one has ever called me Casey which is weird because tons of people who I know from school and stuff do.

I've always called you Cassie, because if I say Ginny I mean Just_Ginny lol.

I prefer people calling me Amy.

lol. Only 1 or 2 people have ever called me Ginny and not for long...

And I call you Amy.

Most people I will call by their real names but there are some people who I don't XD

Like Elfie, Swiftie, and Rai XD

Well, even if my sitename is Caroru, I ahte it when people go on MSN "Hey Caroru"

...it's so weird :D

I usually call people on the site by their real names, if I'm lucky enough to remember them xD So newbies are automatically... sitename people. I can't possibly remember are ten thousand and ONE Brittany, Hailey, Kelly, Mandy, Nina, Tina, Gina, Mona that are here xD

But the main people - lol - I rememeber xD But I seem to give them nickames too; Eimi (Amy), Lizzie (Lisa/Cheery), Muffie (Just_Ginny)... :D

Most people call me Shadow, but it doesn't really surprise me... lol.

Well, I notice sevral people, including myself, use there real name as there RP name. I tend to call others by whatever they prefure, but I will not bug them for there real name ^^

Its funny to see most people call me Elfie even though most of the older members Ive known for quite a while know me by Sharon. I tend to use usernames whilst on the site even so that people know who I am talking about, even for those who I am really close to, just in case people get confused. I have to double think about Amy's ad Rai's usernames though as they help run the site and so use their names often and newbies need to know us. (did that make sence or am I babbling? lol) Plus Rai would probably kill me if I started using his full real name - he doesnt reply on the site if I use his rea name nckname in case anyone realises lol

well, Elfie, since I'm only 15, I find it slightly weird to call you Sharon, being raised the way I am. It's just.....weird.

It all depends on the person. haha.
Like, Violet is always Violet, but ginnyunited is Cassie. haha.
Then there are those who despise their real names, so I dont call them that.
And others who prefer their usernames. haha. I generally go by what others call that person.
haha. Its complicated.... haha.

I guess it depends on how much i talk to the people, or in what way im involved with them. I dunno, I call Etta, etta not Bernadette, well because its shorter. Also i tend to call people im close with by their real names...

it mostly varies person to person on whether i call them by their user name or real name. although sooome of them are the same... *cough.stephy.cough*.
and then there are the people who would kill me if i called them by their real names. also known as rai.
I always answer to both my real name and my site name..and shortened versions of my site name.
i dont like my real name as much..but i dont mind if people call me casey. Just dont call me Case. just dont. bad memories. *shudders*

I don't mind people using my real name, Justin, but I've grown used to people calling me Bookie or Book for so long that I go with the flow.

I give people annoying nicknames usually

people call me Holly usually....or Hannah....I dunno what else they might call me though ... lol

I use real names and site names. If i know their names i'll call them by their names but otherwise i call 'em by their site name.

I usuaslly call people by what I can remember them by. Like Phoenix-Nixy, Nix, Nixberry, Evil Sugar Blondie, Nixers....yeah we talk alot....haha, Magicguy93-Chris or Chrissy. Stephy...stephy. Ziggy-Ratty or Bella. Otherwise....I'll call you by your name or whatever nickname someone already gave ya.
