Jamie blocked his eelings from her all he needed was for her to find out about this flame inside

"It's the truth." Shadow said.

Bella walked over to the lake and sat down under a small tree and took out her drawing pad

"I wasnt kidding," Holly murmured, but turned her attention to the real problem, "Seriously though, anything me and the nerd can do?"
She spotted Bella, whom she had spoken to a few times, looked down and called "BELLA! UP ERE!"

"Come on up Bels!" Natalie said loudly to her.

Shadow looked out over the water again.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

"Look...you mustn't keep feeling this pain Shadow...I really and truely believe that you are here now for a reason," said Natalie, "that reason, while obvious to us may not be just as obvious to you...but you will see it in time..."

Shadow looked at Natalie.
"I see the meaning, but that does not change what must come to be."

"And what must come to be?" asked Natalie, frowning.

"I'm not ready to talk about it." Shadow replied.

"Ok....shall we talk about it when your ready?" asked Natalie, "and it doesn't have to be today...I can be whenever you like...just call my name, and I'll be there."

Shadow nodded.
"Thanks."

"Like I said, anytime," said Natalie.

Shadow looked out over the water, contemplating.
"The time that must come is when my demonic side overrules my human."

"Must," Holly repeated, "It must come?"
She glanced at Shadow, so innocent and cloaked, and tried to imagine Hogwarts without her.....

Shadow nodded solemnly.

"Well....well thats....I mean that cant happen.....it cant cause....,"
Holly stopped and stared across the water, knowing that it had to happen, and it would.

Shadow didn't say anything, she just looked out ofer the water.

For the longest time, they just sat.
Holly kept glancing at Shadow, wanting to say something comforting, or intelligent. Alas, Holly was neither, and so she just stared.

Natalie glaced a Shadow, eye's full of fear.

"Thats what nearly happened at the yule ball, isn't it?" she asked.

Shadow nodded.
"Nearly."

Holly didnt say anything, just stared, with George on her shoulder.

"But...Raven can help you control things...can't she?" Natalie asked.

"Raven does what she can, but some things just can't be stopped." Shadow said.

Again, Holly was silent, thinking, pondering, hoping, dreading.

"And I take it the same will have to happen to Raven someday too," said Natalie sadly.

Shadow shook her head.
"It's all to do with a prophecy. Raven got the lighter side."

"Raven told us about this prophecy...when that happened to you at the ball," said natalie

"Did she recite it to you?" Asked Shadow.

"Lucky Raven," Holly muttered honestly.

"No...she didn't..." said Natalie.

"Do you want me to?" Shadow asked.

"If you want to...but I'll understand if you don't," said Natalie, frowning.

"Yes," Holly said suddenly, "Yes....do...,"

"The Dove will stop the demon
The demon will rise again
The wolf will aid his rise
The Raven will aid his fall
But betrayal will be rife." Shadow chanted softly.

Holly furrowered her brow.
"And that means you have to become full demon?" she asked.
George cocked his head to the side, making him look like Holly....in monkey form.

"I'm the wolf, and my father the demon. He wants me to be full demon before he rises." Shadow said.

Natalie got it straight away.

"So it means when your at peace, it stops the demon from rising, but the demon will rise anyway...and you take the form of a wolf sometimes, so thats you thats most affected, and Raven's least affected...and you and Raven are destined to not get on forever," said Natalie, looking at Shadow.

"Before he rises?" Holly repeated, "You dad- father.....will rise?"

"I only gave you the short version. The full thing is quite long. The whole thing is complicated." Shadow said.

"Rise...as in...gain power," said Natalie.

Shadow nodded.
"When the dove, our mother, defeated the demon the first time, she took most of his powers, giving them to Raven and I."

"Gain power? Hes like....evil?"

"He's a full demon. It shouldn't take much explaining." Shadow said.

"So...It not like the werewolf thing....you were born part demon...as appose to being bitten," said Natalie.

Shadow nodded.
"The race died out about five hundred years ago, and then my mother was tricked ."

Holly pondered the thought again, and then turned to look over the black lake once more, hands shaking.

"Mmm," said Natalie again, also looking over the black lake.

Holly and George communicated silently via telepathy.

Shadow had the sense not to listen in on the conversation.

Holly sighed softly and shook her head.
"So...anyway....whats everyone doing this weekend?"
