TUTORIAL: Bringing Out the Natural Colors

(used Photoshop CS)



1. Okay we are going to start off with this

2. First duplicate the base. Set the blend mode to screen and lower the opacity to 73%.

3. Duplicate the base again and bring it above the other copy. Go to Filter > Other > High Pass and set it to 1. Then set blend mode to overlay and opacity to 75%. (this step is optional. all it does is sharpen the image.)

4. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Curves and give the following settings:

RGB

• Input - 75
  Output - 122
  
• Input - 100
  Output - 150
  
• Input - 150
  Output - 205

Green

• Input - 145
  Output - 101

Blue

• Input - 170
  Output - 63

5. Go to Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color. Set to screen at 30% opacity. Fill color #F3D6AF.

6. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color and give the following settings:
Reds: -38; +27; +44; +49
Yellows: -32; +17; +67; +14
Cyans: +100; -48; +100; +100
Blues: 0; 0; +100; +100
Magentas: 0; -17; +100; +100
Whites: +7; -9; +93; -9
Neutrals: +59; +39; +31; -5
Blacks: +36; +22; +33; +15

7. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Photo Filter. Filter: Warming Filter (81) at 63% density.
