The Other Battle

The other battle is near Hogwarts, and is between the Synari, the Faeries and the Fairys.

The Synari army marched through a large portal, heading for battle. Silver armor gleamed and clanked, mages' robes futtered in the breeze, the archer's bows creaked as they were tested, and the pegusi knights snorted. They were ready for battle.

At the head of the army, four figures rode forth. The first one mounted on a white horse, dressed in simver robes, the high priestess Arias. One to her right, in silver armor, on a grey horse, Meran, the second in command. Behind them, two girls, one mounted on a fiery chestnut pegasus, the other on a pure black horse dressed in black armor, Shadow and Raven.

ONce the army had passed through, the portal closed, leaving fifteen thousand strong of the Synari army. The horses pawed the groud nervously, and no one spoke. THey were waiting for the enemy.

Jamie joined the army that was marching and chanelled his dark magic.

Shadow nodded once in acknowledgement to Jamie before resuming her glare forwards.

Jamies eyes turned space black and his soul bacame nothingness, anger filled him, he knew he should have let this side out more often, all the surpressed evil had built up on him...

Shadow urged her pegasus forwards, soaring up into the ar.

The Fairies flew in, led by a figure clad in black. They touched down in front of the Synari, and the Figure in black looked up. His black crown made of writing snakes glistened as his subjects looked at him fearfully.

The Fairies approached, but how you couldn't really say. At the head was a rather odd looking man. Standing on either side of him was Eliza and Zeke. Eliza looked like the Snow Queen, a tiara made of glitering ice, and a cape where snowfalkes drifted of it. Her ermine, Pyro, sat on her shoulder. Snowfalkes sat on in her hair, her nose and eyelashes, and settled on her clothes. Zeke looked exactly the opposite. His hair swayed and crackled, and sometimes it looked like fire. His clothes glowed, and he looked a like a flame.

The two Kings - brothers - glowered at each other.

Arias, Meran, Shadow and Raven trotted forward on their steeds, going to meet the other leaders.

Jamie rolled his eyes at Shadow,
"thinks shes the bees knees.." he thought to himself chuckling...

"Hail!" Arias shouted to the two kings. "There shall be a fight today, and many deaths, do we continue?"

The Faerie King, Lord Oberon, strode forward to meet them, along with Eliza and Zeke. The Fairy King stayed where he was. Growling, Lord Oberon cast ropes of white light, a mixture of all element magic, and pulled his broher forward. However, the Fairy King did nothing to react. He was conserving his energy for the coming battle.

Before Lord Oberon could speak, the Fairy King spoke.
"We shall fight! It is cowardly to back out!"

Arias raised a hand for simence.
"We are a peaceful dimension, until you came and forced us tofight for our land."

Jamie watched as the goings on continued,
what are we fighting for? he asked shadow telepathically

Our lives, our dimension, our freedom. Shadow answered, her wolfish fangs bared in a snarl at the kings.

Jamie raised his head.....
seems like something demons wouild fight for...

Lord Oberon shot his brother a dark look, before saying
"We also want peace with you, Synari. But I must fight my brother. He is a tyrant, and for too long he has darkened all these days!"

"He attacked our dimension without mercy, and we have lost several of our people. We wish for justice." Arias said.

Jamie looked on at the people and then decided to walk over beside Shadow....

Eliza spoke up, her voice ringing out over the batlefield.
"Uncle, you have spead misery wherever you have gome. Shame! For now, we will band together, to unite our forces against yours. And we will win!" At this, all the faeries cheered, raising their fists in the air.

The Synari followed with their war cry.
"Hail to victory!" Shadow's horse whinnied, rearing up.

Jamie tookthe bow and arrow that was in his hand and raised it to the skty people behind it doing the same....

The Fairy King growled at Eliza. And opened his cloak with a swish. It seemed as if all the shadows came out of it, making several horses rear up. But not one faerie so much as blinked. It just worked them up even more. Furious, the faeries charged, sending bolts of element magic at the fairies, who ran to met them.. However, the faeries and fairies of 'higher rank', stayed where they were. Not an act of cowardice.

Shadow shouted something inSynari, which all the pegasus knights echoed. They launched into the air, wings beating with powerful strokes before diving down onto the Fairy army, swords drawn.

The Fairy King snorted, and raised his arms to the sky. A sphere encircling the attackers appeared, though what it was made of, one couldn't be sure. It was as insubstantial as air, and made the whole group seem underwater. Eliza took advantage of that fact, and launched a blast of cold air towards him. Not having expected an attack, the sphere flickered.

The knights broke out of the sphere as it flickered, continuing the downward charge. The Archers drew back their strings and let loose a vdar volley of arrows.

The Fairy King snorted. He was busy. Let his puny subjects take care of themselves. He wanted to crush his niece at that moment. How dare she attack him?

The air around Eliza swooshed and a miniture blizzard started around her. Her ermine, Pago, changed into his true form, accompanied by an explosion of white and ice blue. Ice cold wind buffeted her uncle, but he didn't move a muscle except to smile, and say,
"You've improved, Elizabeth. But it's not enough..."
"We'll see about that." Eliza lifted her hands, and sent icicles with deadly points spinning towards her uncle. Unwavering, the Fairy King lifted a finger, and the icicles slowed to a sluggish pace. He grabbed one out of the air, but at that moment, Eliza made it shatter spectacularly. Shards of ice went everywhere, making her Uncle turn away in pain. Furious, the Fairy King reached into Eliza's mind and caused mayhem.

Zeke turned from the fairy he was fighting to see Eliza writing on the floor, her uncle standing over her. He stunned the fairy, and rushed over to aid his sister. His uncle put up a hand, and an almost-visible barrier appeared, blocking Zeke.
"Ezekiel... You've grown."
"Don't treat me as a child."
"Don't act like one."
"Let me prove myself."
The Fairy King seemed to be thinking, then -
"Very well." He lifted the barrier, and withdrew from Eliza's mind. She fell limp.

Shadow shouted in anger as she saw Eliza being attacked. She wrenched her horse's head round, galloping full pace towards the Fairy King's back, summoning her magic and firing.

Shadow's magic did not go unoticed by the fairy king. He waited until the last moment, then blocked it carelessly.
"Shadow," Zeke said, looking her in the eye, "this is a quarrel between family. Go and fight the bigger fight. Eliza's tough, she'll be allright."

"I fight also for my dimension's honour." Shadow snarled. "He has killed many that I knew, and I wish to avenge them."

"Shadow, I understand, but I'm fighting not just for my honour, but also my sister's, my father's, my kingdom's, your dimension, and for my uncle's subjects, long suffering under his tyrannic rule. Leave, now." Zeke said, and his uncle raised a mocking eyebrow.
'Well spoken, Ezekiel. But words won't save you."
"My powers will. Not only will they save me, but they'll destroy you."

Shadow refused to move, apart from looking to the sky. Her eye flickered red, before remaining that way. She looked directly at the Fairy King, speaking in a voice that seemed to echo.
"Your days are done."

"And it will not be you, Shadow. It can't be you." Zeke said. He wished he could reveil more so Shadow would understand. She of all people should understand his problem. But he couldn't. Not with his uncle so close.
Just then, Eliza stirred. She opened her eyes, and sat up. She seemed to be fine, she just couldn't remember anything that had happened after her uncle had reached into her mind. So, without a scratch, she got up, and walked over to Shadow. Had heard Shadow's remark, and said,
"I'm sorry, Shadow. But we must leave Zeke to it. I trust him to do well."

Shadow's eyes flickered back to violet. Jamming her wolf helm back on, she swung up onto her pegasus' back.
"I'll be watching." She snarled, galloping away.

"Of course." Eliza said. She turned to Zeke. "Adelfos, good luck." And with those words, she left to fight.

Zeke prepared his mind for the coming fight. All at once, the Fairy King launched an attack with his magic, blowing Zeke back with the sheer force. But he didn't fall. Still his mind kept blank.

Shadow's horse fell into stride alongside Raven's, and then Shaeman's black steed, charging towards the enemy lines.

The Fairy King struck at Zeke again, but he didn't fall. Angered, Zeke's Uncle reached into Zeke's mind. This was what Zeke was waiting for. He closed the walls of his mind, trapping his uncle. Now, the Fairy King was at his nephew's mercy. But Zeke had none for his Uncle.

Three part demons charged at the enemy lines, arms aloft with their magic ready. The horses snorted, heads held high as their riders were consumed by the other side.

The fairies at first fought savagely, for fear of being punished by cowardice, but they slowed as they glanced over time and again to their leader's writhing body, at the feet of a young man.

Shadow, Raven, Shaeman and the other Synari were in their element, swords flashing, magic being cast, exuberant war crys ringing out.
