The Battle of the Grounds

Holly shivered again, eyes on Gryffindor tower.
They were up there, she thought. They were all up there, probably watching her right now....just waiting.
Holly licked her lips nervously, waiting.
A huge black falcon swooped down from the tower at the speed of light.
Holly automatically stepped back wand outstretched waiting.

Holly nodded bravely, collapsing onto the grass.
"Dammit this is painful," she said smiling weakly, "Are you alright kid?"

Shadow knelt down painfully and used what energy she had to heal her friend.

Like a breath of fresh air Holly felt her lungs seem to reopen, and most of the pain melted away.
"Jeezuz," she said, "Thank you .... are YOU alright?"

Shadow smiled weakly at her friend before her eyes closed and she fell onto her side, unconscious.

"Thats a no then," Holly murmured, and tried to push herself up far enough to help her. She got three paces however, before she collapsed beside her, from exhaustion and irritation.

Shadow's eyes opened again, but only slightly, as if she was half awake.

Holly mumbled something in her sleep. It sounded like "chickens"

Shadow's eyes closed again. Raven ran towards them and used her magic to teleport them and herself into the hospital wing.

Holly opened her eyes. She could have sworn last time she fell asleep she was outside. Not in a comfy bed in the hospital wing.
"Was I drinking before?" she called out to no one in particular, and turned to sleep again.

Raven was sitting between the two beds, arms folded.

"Roth," Holly said, "Hello how are you?"
As well as being tired, she was also rather giddy.
"Where's Shadow?" she mumbled.

Raven turned to face Holly.
"Shadow's right here, although in a coma."

"Coma?" Holly repeated blearily, "Will she be alright?"

"If she wakes up, and even then we don't know." Raven said.

Holly blinked furiously, trying to maintain conciousness.
"Tell her ..." Holly struggled, "Tell her ..."
And she sank back into her pillow.

Raven sighed and leaned her head back, waiting for one of them to come round again.

Holly turned quickly, willing what she was picturing to be a dream.

Raven shook Holly awake. Shadow was groaning, opening her eyes.

"AH!" Holly squealed, and sat bolt right up, "Huh? What is it Raven?"

"Shadow's awake. I thought you might want to know." Raven said.

Holly looked across the ward a little, indeed, Shadow was waking.
"Right, thanks," Holly said, and tested her legs on the cold floor. They held, and so she ambled over to Shadows bed and leaned in.
"Shadow?"

Shadow looked at Holly and gingerly touched the bandage on her head from the injury the man had caused.
"Hey Holly." She said quietly.

"Hello," Holly said, "Do you feel ... alright?"

"That's a stupid question." Shadow said faintly.

"Sorry," Holly mumbled, "But Im sure you'll be .... fine ... soon ... "

"I hope so."

Raven stood up, sensing some one coming, someone they REALLY didn't want to see...

Holly looked up.
"Whats wrong?" Holly asked Raven.

"Here are a few clues: He's got red eyes, he looks like a snake, and he's coming." Raven said.

Holly thought for a moment.
"Dianna Ross?" she asked.

Raven hit her head off the wall.
"NO YOU EEJIT!"

"Sorry," Holly said quickly, pulling Raven back from the wall, "Who Voldy?"

"YES DUH!" Raven yelled.
"Some one called?" Came a voice as Voldemort strode into the room.

Holly stood next to Shadow's bed, wand arm raised.
"Get out," she warned, shaking like a leaf.

"You're not gonna scare anyone like that." Raven hissed. "What do you want?"
"Raven, Raven, Raven, you know what I want." Voldemort hissed.

Holly moved closer to Raven and muttered, "Whats he talking about?"

"Guess. We've got his child." Raven hissed. VOldemort strode towards them.

Holly stepped back automatically and had to stedy herself to stop herself falling.
"We ... um ... "
Holly looked around wildly for something clever to say, when nothing came she remained silent.

Shadow struggled to her feet again, using the crutches.
"Why is it always like this." She muttered to herself. Voldemort was now a few metres away.

"Hey hey hey," Holly said stepping in front of her, "I think you've been through quite enough where this jack's been concerned,"

Shadow sighed, swaying slightly. Voldemort was smirking at her, ignoring the protests of the other two. In a flash, Voldemort had his wand out, and Holly in an armlock, his wand pointed at her throat.

Holly squealed.
"Wha- whaddya need me for?"

Voldemort looked at Shadow, who bowed her head.
"Just don't hurt her." She said. Voldemort smirked.
"You help me to blackmail your friend." Voldemort hissed before apparating himself, Holly and Shadow to Riddle House.

Holly slammed down onto the ground, onto her already sore stomach.

Shadow wasn't better off as she landed on her feet, and then crumpled to the ground. Voldemort was the only one on his feet. At his signal, four death eaters hauled the girls to their feet and held them there.

Holly let herself be dragged up, barely able to move from the pain.
"Whaddya want us to do?" she muttered.

Voldemort looked at the pair.
"You are here to make sure that she obeys me." Voldemort said.

Holly glanced fearfully at Shadow and then decided it would be best if she, for once, was silent.

Voldemort told the death eaters to put them in the upstairs cell, and watched the girls being pulled away.

Holly let herself be dragged upstairs, not having the energy or sarcasm to argue or fight back. She cursed herself for not instantly apparating Shadow out of the hospital the moment she had seen Voldemort.

The Death eaters had to carry Shadow up the stairs because she still couldn't walk well, and put them into a room before locking the door. Shadow looked around to see two beds and a table with two chairs in the room. She sighed and lay down on one bed.
