The young beauty radiated into Jona's eyes as she held her daughter close in her arms as her eyes fell and she drifted away, falling asleep. Jona was amazed by the images her young child dreamt. Vibrant colors and the beautiful image of her mother and the thought of pure love filled Jona with joy. Ava loved the sound, the feel, and the smell of her mother.

Jona looked up to see if her friend had arrived. It was excruciating, waiting, even though she had all the time in the world to wait. The fire was lit in the corner of the den and the flashing off the T.V changed in color just as Ava's images that bounced around through her mind as she slept.

"Alice..." She muttered continuing to wait, and wait till she wasnt just alone with the child she loved. "Where are you?" Starting to tap her foot she hummed along to a melody of 'Silent Night'.

"I dont know what im supposed to be doing... I havent been on a date like this in SO LONG!" Jona said groaning. She hadnt and it was the truth. "Your the manager you know whats best for me..."

"true that may be but if you know whats best for me and i know whats best for you then technally dont you know whats best for you" alice said in a mad rush so it seemed like she was saying something more intellagent then she was wich only made her statement more confusing.

Jona held her head. It was all so confusing it made her dizzy. She almost fell over, all the thoughts spinning around around the mall addition to the comprehention of Alice's phycology. She took in a deep breath and leaned up against the wall.
"What ever you say but I would still like help..." She mumbled quietly.

"ok" she said entergetically paying for the dress and shawl. the woman was still quite unhappy about it but rang them up anyway. Alice handed the gown to Jona then led her out of the store.
"ok soo you want to go to the.." alice trailed off waiting for JOna to finish the sentance.

Jona remained silent and was going to wait for Alice to decide where they would stop next.

"oh no i am not fallling for that choice or well i cant say were going home because you would probibly like that but if you dont choice i will make you listen to hippy music" she said trying to think of something bad.

"I've heard worse..." She said laughed but sighed. "If we must lets go to the jewlery store... im sure they have nothing like that one in australia but I think we will be fine."

"well they always have australlian crystal" alice joked leading her to the jewlry store wich reflected every movement in the diamonds and pearls.

Jona laughed along, honestly enjoying the joke, her enthusisasm was slowly disapeering. "And If they do its the first we will look at!"

"well ya" she said like a teenager never abondoning that young spirit she had when she was younger.

Jona sighed, "Al- i dont think you COULD abandon that spirit."

"i could that one time remeber i was a lawyer that year and i did" she said recolling her past

"No... somewhere it was inside you, and if you have it now, well you never lost it." Jona explained.

"pashaw ya right" she said playfully swinging her arms.

"Im serious! You have no real evidence that could proove to me you lost it..." She said in a stubborn, yet playful voice.

"yes i do i already gave it to you i am not repeating myself" she stated nodding her head.

"Theres nothing you can do to change my mind!" She argued against no remark with a hard stone voice that was hinted with a softer more playful vibe to it.

"uh hu sure sure" she said in a british accent as ussual.

Jona rolled her eyes bluntly and glanced back down at the jewelry displayed in front.
"Im not sure about this place..." She said biting her lip unsure that they were of the right quality and taste in diamonds. Why cant they all be like Australia... She quietly growled upset with what was apparently shown in the glass case for everyone to see. One memory she had remembered as a mortal human was the constant struggle to secure and show off self appearance. Enforced upon her she had no choice in the early 17 hundreds but to worry what everyone thought of her just when they saw her. Beauty was an impossible goal that only the select few could reach and perfect.

"well we can always go to australlia" alice sudgested with a big grin on her face.

Jona nodded her head in agreement. That was a possitive about immortality, so many possibilities, so much time. There was no way she could disagree or even respond, she hadnt an idea what to say.

Alice giggled looking through the glass then she froze infront of a spacific peice of jewlry. not even looking at the price tag she emidiatly asked for it.
"um can i see that please?" she asked nicely pointing at the gem.

The woman behind the desk had a pleasent smile. She seemed much happier and her life was good.
She too read a magazine but with the new request she didnt do more than set it down and abide.
"This one?" She asked as she handed Alice the set of jewels.
Jona nodded her head but waited allowing Alice to reply.

"ya that one" alice said as the lady placed it in her. alice took a deep breath.
"jona doesnt this look smiular?" she asked holding the neclace up to her neck and hled her hair in a bun up with her other hand.

Jona look down at the necklace. Alice had layed it on her neck
and it cotured to bones in a perfect manner resting like it belonged there.
"Its nice..." She said nodding her head.

"but does it look simular?" she asked trying to see if it was only her or if jona saw it to.

Jona took a deep breath but as she began to exhale held her breath.
"The necklace?" She coughed looking at Alice with distressed eyes.

"yes" she said still waiting for her anserw biteing her lip. she turned to the lady.
"is this a one of a kind?" she asked.
"as far as i know" the lady replied un pataint. alice turned back to jona as if to make a piont.

"It cant be..." She muttered under her breath in disbelief. Jona was breathless, she couldnt believe, that there was the slightest possibility, that it could be it.

"um do you mind if i buy this?" alice asked the lady mouth flew open and turned into a large smile.
"of course let me help you over hear" she said waveing alice over to the regester ringing up the neclace. she echenged the credit card then took the neclace in her hand.
"thank you" she said as alice dragged jona out of the room.
"its lucifers" she said pausing.
"lucifers gem, his heart" she said softly.

Jona was speachless. "Wow..." was all she could manage holding it in her hands protectivly.

"you know the story that the reason why were vampieres is because of the rejection from heaven and hell lucifers gem is a protective shield against silver bloods, blue bloods that feed off blue bloods, a vampire driking a vampires blood." alice said looking at it admiringly.

Jona breathed heavely recalling the story of their existance and safty from the necklace.
"Impossible..." She gasped, she wrapped her fingers around it and held it to her chest. "But how?"

"lucifer created it beofre he became a silver blood he wanted his people to be safe from all evil though he became the danger and destrayed all but one" she said trying to explain more.

"I never thought it existed..." Jona gasped dumbfounded amazement. She held in her hands the secrets and protection for the darkness exposed. As she looked back at Alice, her heart and hatred both showed all together in her hands with one single necklace.

"i wore it to the 500 year ball in manhatten and i thought it was gone, to many were fighting for it and i through it in a volcano but here it is" she said looking down at it.

"For something made with the hands of distruction... its very beautiful..." She exclaimed smiling.

"because it wasnt suppose to be known it was suppose to seam like jewlry so the silver bloods wouldnt know much about it" she said shrugging her shoulders she knew alot about it.

Jona nodded her head in understandment. She knew what she'd meant, the silver bloods would fight to hold the power of protection.
"How long ago did you rid of it?" She asked looked back up at Alice with curious eyes.

"i dont know a while ago" alice said rubbing her thunb against a smudge on it.

"How long ago Alice?" She demanded to know. Suddenly jona felt the need to know like her life depended on it.

Alice closed her eyes took severl deep breths and shook her head.
"i dont remeber" she replied honestly and inocently. her eyes grew blank she was lost to her past disconnected from it.

"Well... its just amazing that its even hear." Jona said estatic that she had that chance to hold it in her hands and even the ability to wear it if she could.

"ya i guess" alice said glancing around the mall she was not thrilled about it the worst part was she couldnt figure out what was worse the pain of it being there or the pain of not being able to recall why it had such a important roll in her life.

"Alice, why is this necklace so important to YOU?" She asked, curious to understand why it caused her so much pain and brought back so many memories.

"i dont know thats the thing ussually if something like this happened i would be hit with memoiries.. but i'm not ... i know its not because i ran out of memories because i barly know anything about me or my past... its just wierd i get a feeling from it that just makes me fell protected but volnrable human weekend" she said freezing periodically.

Jona sighed, "I dont understand..." She knew the necklace had great importance and she couldnt grasped the concept Alice explained.

"never mind its not important in the first place" she said shaking her head slightly.

"Thats not true.." Jona said sympathy in her voice. She knew it wasnt and somehow that had upset her.

"no it is now come on we still need to get shoes" alice said pulling jona in a diffrent direction away from the jewlry store.
