The posts can begin on Wednesday 15th December
and will end on Sunday 19th December - 5 days of rpg posting!

When

brackets before you begin the RPG post - otherwise your post will be

Weather: Snow, snow, little snow poking around.

Remember
to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the
pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly
begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have
scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See the howler in the
main forum for more info.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Erika desperately swayed her hand for the "Snooze" button on the top of the clock her mother sent her as an early Christmas gift. The repeated alarm could buzz for hours at a time, an annoying feature to keep one from falling asleep. She successfully slammed the snitched shaped relief. While running her fingers along the floor for her blanket, she tipped of the side and crashed hard on the wood floor.

I should just sleep on the floor, that is where the bed ends up!

In a rather aggravated mood she cranked her head toward the rod-iron clock which claimed her bed stand.

Hmm, 6:03. Rather early don’t you think? Who on earth changed my alarm? Well... Might as well go back to bed, Not doing anything important.

The sound of her plan was soothing. She yawned and closed her eyes, picking up her wool blanket. Immediately Erika fell to the ground once again. Owww... Holding her head she looked up at the suspect of her pain.

"What do you think your doing?" Erika hissed at the young third year sitting in her bed.

"What do you think YOUR doing?" The girl repeated, "You’re supposed to go play some Quidditch!" She corrected in a rather annoyed tone. She had fierce green eyes and dark curly hair.

"You should be in the locker room and on the field!" She continued,

"No, I should be laying in bed for another hour." Erika protested against the strange girl she didn’t even know. The girl shot a glare and stuck up her nose ready to prove her point.

"You’re never going to make it out there in time, plus its snowing."

SNOW... Why snow? Why cant God give us a break and let their be some sun! YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO FREEZE TO DEATH WHILE PLAYING THE GREATEST GAME IN THE WORLD!!

Erika sulked in the foul thought of flying high with a 20- wind chill. "Fine..." She growled and pushed the third year aside. She reached once more for her blanket and walked through the common room and down the grand staircase to the great hall. She jumped up and down heating her body and wrapped herself in wool quickly running through the snow. She ran into the locker room grabbed her broom, threw on her pads and walked out to the pitch.

What does it matter if its snowing? It dosen't! You will beat this team because you can!

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain) Rose hadn't gotten any sleep. She was sick all week with an obnoxious cold and had been resting in bed for all her free time. She managed to practice for the game today once, but sadly she was alone while the rest of her team finished up there end-of-the-term exams and missing work. Seeing that Rose was to smart for her own good, she had finished all that a week or two ago. As the time ticked by, Rose still sat on her bed, staring at the light snowfall outside her window. The snow had begun to fall late that night, and Rose had happily walked outside and leaned under an old maple tree while she let the cold wash over her. It was 5:00 in the morning, and the rest of Rose's dorm mates where asleep. Her cat was on the end of the bed, shivering in his soundless sleep. The small Huffie girl took her blanket and carefully tossed it over Gator's tiny body. She grabbed some clothes and slipped her Nightmare Before Christmas Jack slippers on as she quietly left the dorm. Rose took a shower down by the locker room and changed into her warm leggins and black, long-sleeved sweater. Then, she threw her Quidditch robes on and snapped in all her protective gear. She grabbed her bat and broom (which she found hidden in the guys main bathroom, the nerve of them) and headed out into the blustery morning air. The game wasn't going to start for a few more hours, so Rose took a few warm up laps around the pitch there was, as expected, nobody in the stands, and it was so quite she almost felt sad. There wasn't even any wind. The snow was falling on her eyelids, and Rose decided to put her goggles on to keep from blinding herself. She made a few last minute adjustments and went back to sit inside the warm locker room. She did love the cold weather, but didn't want to stay in it when she didn't have to, due to her already miserable cold. A few hours past, the sun came out, and Rose herd the crowds starting to gather outside. She wrapped a yellow and black scarf around her neck and took several deep breaths before stepping back out into the snowy cold. A Gryffindor was there: Erika. Rose decided to be her normal kind self and flew over to the opponent. “Hi”, she said smiling. “I think we've met, but I'm Rose. Good luck today.”

(COMMENTATOR)

"It's a good day, people," Elana announced into the commentator's mic. "It's snowing, but it's packing snow, I believe, and just enough of it for a snowball fight later. And, of course, we're out here to watch an epic game of Quidditch between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor! And, as long as you brought something to keep you warm, the cold won't get to you. Now, back to Quidditch..." She turned her attention away from her thermos of hot chocolate to the pitch, and saw both a Hufflepuff player and Gryffindor one. "Ladies and gentlemen, our first ladies on the pitch! We have Erika, one of Gryffindor's Chasers, and Rose, one of Hufflepuff's Beaters and their captain! Welcome to the pitch!"

(Hufflepuff Seeker and Co- Captain)

"And a one- an- two- an- three- an- four! That's good girls! Keep those arms and legs moving! One- an- two- an- three- an- four! Martha, keep going! I know you can do it!" Skie's brightly colored dream was of a leg warmer and tutu clad exercise coach and old grandmotherly women doing aerobics. Getting down an her hands and knees in the midst of the blindingly quick, albeit wrinkled bodies, Skie suddenly screamed "STOP!" Just as quickly, the dream melted into unfriendly darkness and an obscenely loud buzzing in her head. "I SAID SHUT IT!" Flailing about madly at an imaginary foe, Skie rolled out of her bed tangled in her sheets and thumped down onto the hard floor. "OWIE!" Rolling across the floor, a vision of tightly wrapped black sheets, Skie only stopped when her head came into contact with a pile of beautifully dirty pile of clothes, and among them was her quidditch uniform. "Holy broomsticks and snitches! There's a quidditch game!" Untangling herself from her sheets, Skie shot up and grabbed her clean uniform from the dresser. With a triumphant "Ah- ha!" Skie then proceeded to skip down the stairs with a maniacal grin that resembled the cheshire cat.

As she strode into the locker room with the smile still on her lips, Skie rushed through, grabbing Timothy and then running out on the pitch. "GOOD MORN- AH! IT'S COLD!" Running back into the toasty locker room, Skie looked out at the pitch warily with her shoulders shrugged up by her ears. Wrapping her black and gold scarf a little bit more tightly around her neck and adjusting her gloves ever so slightly, Skie grimaced and stepped back out onto the pitch. "Quidditch lords and ladies, it is so cold." Skie muttered through her frozen lips. With her nose beginning to turn slightly pink from the frigid air, Skie mounted Timothy and shot herself into the great blue sky. Teeth chattering, Skie concentrated on the loops and dives she had been working on for months and attempting a few barrel rolls. Feeling the rewarding rush of blood to brain as she hovered upside down for those precious seconds of weightlessness, Skie regained a little bit of her old winter and holiday spirit. "Fierce. I am fierce." Attempting to bare to her teeth, Skie was repelled by the uncomfortable feeling of cold air on her gums. "I'm still cold. But fierce." Squeezing her eyes shut, Skie ducked down on her broom and sent herself spinning down, down, down. As she reached her destination, Skie jumped up from behind her friend and captain screaming, "ROSIE! Yah miss me?"

((Gryffindor Chaser))

Pete Wentz was moving closer. .. any second now he would have KISSED Holly!
She could smell his chewing gum now .... three .... two .... -
The alarm clock was buzzing annoyingly.
Holly jumped violetly as if having recieved an electric shock, and looked around.
Of course, there she was in her own bed, no Pete Wentz.... and evidently a Quidditch match in the snow to look forward too.

An hour in the blistering cold was NOT exactly what Holly had been looking forward to, but nevertheless she pulled on her Quidditch robes and headed down to the pitch.

The air was freezing, and her breath smoked.
"I see dead people," she whispered to herself jokingly. Then she laughed at herself.

Anyone passing would have thought she was totally mad. Which she was.

"Eriiiiiiikaaaaaaa," Holly called, noticing her friend a few meters away.
What was she thinking? Calling the name of her fellow Chaser across the pitch when any of the opposing side could hear?
Mentally yelling at herself, Holly tapped Erika on the shoulder.

"INNIT TO WINNIT ERIKA-BEANS?!"

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)
 
Rose heard a familiar voice come ringing from the Hufflepuff locker room. She glanced over her shoulder to see her buddy and Co-Captain flying out onto the pitch. She looked cold, but hyper, just the way Rose liked it. “Heeeeeeey Skie.” Rose smiled at her teammate. “The weather is great. I think we have this game. I just hope the others show, or we might be in a wee bit of trouble.” Rose scratched her head as she noticed another of the lion's make their way onto the pitch. It was Holly. Rose smiled and waved to her other opponent. Though things were going to get a bit nasty in a few moments, she still loved that Gryffindor. “Alright. We have a beater and seeker so far. They have a chaser and...chaser.”

(Referee)

Raistlin rushed to the pit
carrying the wooden box with the Quidditch Balls. Quickly putting it on
the ground and tipping it with his wand it flew open and the balls wetn
soaring.

Getting up in his broom he flew to the middle of the pitch, released the Quaffle and blew the whistle.

"Game started!"

(COMMENTATOR)

"With the arrival of Hufflepuff's Seeker-Captain Skie and Gryffindor's Chaser Holly, the game begins!" Elana exclaimed excitedly. "And now the big question - who's going to be the victor in this match? The portal tells us that Hufflepuff has won one while Gryffindor has lost one. But since we're still waiting to hear about a couple games, don't worry, Gryffindors! I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens," she said, shrugging as she took a drink from her thermos, wrapping her blanket tighter around her to ward off the cold and snow.

(Hufflepuff Seeker and Co- Captain)

Skie pulled her scarf tighter around her neck and grinned into the frigid air. Straightening herself up from her hunched over heat preserving slump, Skie was blasted with a gust of freezing wind. "What a wonderful day to look for a snitch," Skie muttered with a visible tone of sarcasm. "And just in time for the holiday season as well." Grimacing, Skie smiled half heartedly at Rose and said, "Well, whatever happens happens. Good karma better be coming our way though!" Skie raised her fists threateningly at the expanse of clouds and tried her hardest to look serious. "Ready to get down and dirty, Rosie?" Skie teased. Leaning down onto her broom, Skie propelled herself forward and zipped to the center of the pitch, the perfect place to find the snitch. "Here snitchy, snitchy poo! Where's my snitchy snitchy poo?" As she sat in the cold, Skie had nothing to do but to wait for the flash of golden wings and the chase that would follow, and pray that she wouldn't freeze to death before then.

Rai ran onto the field in rather a hurry, quickly releasing the balls and running back off. Rose raised an eyebrow and shrugged. The balls came zooming out of the small brown chest and scattered in the cold air. Skie grinned to her teammate before going off after the Snitch. Rose rolled her eyes and turned her attention to the Gryffies. None had made a move yet, but she was sure they would really soon. She didn't want to have to use the bludgers unless she really had to. She kept one of the nasty balls in sight, just in case. If they where lucky, Skie would catch the tiny golden ball before they other team had time to score! Or, Rose thought, The rest of OUR team could just show up already!

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Holly clapped her hands together to warm them, and glanced into the sky.
She agreed with Skie's sarcastic remark about the weather. Of all the conditions to throw a Quaffle around a pitch!
Holly twisted her broom slightly so that she was speeding off in the opposite direction from the two Hufflepuffs, waiting quietly without drawing attention to herself until someone darted towards the goalposts to try and score, as was her gameplan.
Then she would attack.

"Cum'on Gryffindor!" she yelled, to get team spirits up a little.

The Gryffies still seemed to be keeping their eye on her. Rose frowned, knowing that they would probably see the bludger coming towards them if she decided to make a move. She glanced over to see the stands filled with bright colors; some of their team and others of Christmas. Flags where waving in the air, and cheers (though they sounded rather hoarse) echoed around the pitch. Rose shrugged, still waiting for the rest of their team. She saw Skie flying around like a maniac, as always. She was wondering is she had spotted the Snitch yet, or if she was just being silly (which was probably the case). Then, something passed by Rose's face, dancing off towards the Hufflepuff goals. It was the Snitch! Rose waved at her teammate, trying to catch her attention. Skie didn't seem to notice. Rose cupped her hands over her mouth and shouted, “YOOOOOOPPPPPPP!!! Skie, Snitch, NOW!!!!”

(Hufflepuff Seeker and Co- Captain)

"Yes mommy!" Skie saluted at Rose. "Geez, do you feel bossy this morning?" With a grin, Skie adjusted her ponytail and began anxiously scanning the pitch for her tiny golden friend. Darting to the Hufflepuff goalpost, Skie decided that the best place to go would be up. In an upward spiral, Skie kept her eyes open and flashing around the pitch, on red alert for even the slightest glimpse of gold. "Where are you my pretty gold friend?" Skie murmured into the cold air.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Erika scanned the sky and watched as Skie searched for her "little golden friend". She sighed and closed her eyes thinking of a game plan. Relief flowed threw her cold, fragile body. The game seemed so much simpler now. She noticed there was only two chasers on the field, Holly and herself.

The held on to her broom with tight, numb hands. A small figure soared threw the air and took a stop to plot her own plan. Her task always seemed simple, and it was she could admit, but it was how to accomplish her so called task was the hard part. Erika couldn’t possibly do her own master plan if the key item was out of the faint picture. Without the quaffle, there was no quidditch.

"Holly," Erika called into the white skies. She winced as the cold wind blew past her warm skin. "Where's the game ball?"

((Gryffindor Chaser))

Holly, who had been gazing dreamily into the distance through Skie's mutterings, turned sharply at the sound of Erika's voice.
"Game ball?!" she asked confusedly, "Oh! The Quaffle y'mean?!"
She looked down. She was holding the Quaffle.
"It appears I gots it chief." she commented, and hesitated before chucking it in Erika's direction.

Erika nodded in Holly's direction, she understood and was ready. The cool air blew against her body; she shivered and tucked her arm in closer to her warm padded chest. A moment of silence flew throughout the pitch as Erika thought up a game plan to complete her objective. Holly seemed to think the same idea; it was perfect.

"Whats your plan then?" She asked through she had a basic idea; it was her idea and she needed to jump from her world and listen. Holding her broom tight she looked around for wandering spys from the Hufflepuff team, leaned in and opened her ears.
