REMEMBER
A new rule has been brought into Quidditch matches. The first day of play (15th) will be for arriving onto the pitch. Saturday evening, I will post as the referee and officially start the game, which will then be played between the 16th and 19th.

Let the match begin!

Weather: The snow from the previous game has frosted over, leaving the grass of the pitch slippy underfoot. Good thing you're all on brooms!

(Ravenclaw keeper)
Polly entered into the Ravenclaw locker room, breathing deeply she peeked out onto the pitch. It had frozen over from the last game and the ground looked muddy and slippy. Wrinkling her nose up she turned back around. Polly was dressed in a pair of jeans that she had on from last night, going bed at 12pm was not a good idea and now she was shattered. Stifling a yawn Polly went into the showers and began to wash.
As she was humming to herself Polly thought she could here someone else come in so keeping quite now Polly stepped out of the showers pulling a pale blue towel around her with the Ravenclaw crest upon it.
As she went into the main changing room she saw that no one had come in and she was still the only person there. "Phew" she muttered and she shook her long dark hair about. Quickly pulling on her underware, the cold was now getting to her Polly dried herself of with a spell.
The sweet smell of food wafted in from the great hall but Polly knew that she could not stomach any of it. People could be heard coming in. Those early morning people who had come to get a good seat for the game.
Grabbing her quidditch uniform Polly pulled it on quickly. Putting an extra jumper on as it was so cold. Shivering slightly Polly let her hair fall loosly around her hoping that with it placed on her neck that it would perhaps keep her warm.
As the other members began to enter the changing rooms Polly smiled at them all wishing them good luck before she grabbed her broom and decended through the hall.
The cheers of the crowd could be heard from the tunnel and the wave of adrenaline she had felt in her last Quidditch match waved over her.
Leaning against her broom Polly breathed deeply and pulled a chocolate bar from her pocket. Munching on that she steadily made her way forward. Peeking her head out to see if there was many people there Polly wished she haden't because some first year cried "Look theres Polly! The game's starting now." And every head in the stands turned to face me. I felt my face going red and as I stood out onto the cool earth I felt like squelsh of mud beneth my feet.
"Eurgh" I muttered looking down as the mud began to gather around the bottem of my boots.
Pulling my broom between my legs I flew up into the sky heart beating as the familiar wave wept through my hair and for an instant all things were forgotten. My hair lapped around my face. Waving to all the Ravenclaw suporters I flew to the Ravenclaw goals as I waited for the other members to come out and for the balls to be realsed.

(Referee)

Amy flew onto the pitch, hoping the players were ready.

She took the crate of balls up into the air, and waved her wand as she released them into the air.

She then blew her whistle and shouted into the sky.

"The game can now begin!"

She then tossed the quaffle up. Which chaser would take it?

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captian}

Rigby rushed into the locker room. Well, as much as one can rush in a snowsuit. She had just come from a game of Gryffindor Duck, Duck, Goose, and had several times been goosed. Of course, she had given some good goose back, most notably to Agatha and Cris.

She stood in front of her locker, debating whether or not to keep her snowsuit on. She wished she had worn it this last game against Hufflepuff, but knowing that Gryffindor could be just as aggressive with bludgers, she kept it on. Hopefully the overstuffed suit would cushion some blows and not make her too ackward on her broom stick.

Grabbing her broom, she attached a sprig of mistletoe to the bottom. She planned on making some fly overs in the stands, and the mistletoe would definatly keep things interesting. She draped ther quidditch robes over her snowsuit, giggling at her image in the locker room mirror. She looked... fluffy.

Rigby grabbed a flask full of cinnamon hot choclate, tucking it into her deep pockets along with small Christmas ornament that played Christmas music when pressed. This was going to be a long, cold game, nothing wrong with a little mid-air caroling.

Finally ready, Rigby tucked her unruly hair in a warm knitted cap, and took off for the field. Making her way on to the pitch, she began to loose her footing on the ice. She managed to get her broom underneath her and up in the air before she fell to the ground. All she needed was to break a bone before the match even began.

"Polly!" she cried, happy to see the Ravenclaw keeper.

"Okay, just so you know, I was goosed twice by Gryffindors!" she explained. She hoped polly would understand that Rigby had undying love for Ravenclaw, but sometimes you just had to step up and take your medicine.

Gryffindor Rules.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly watched as the balls were realsed. Tightening her grip on her broom Polly moved her head around to see who had gotten the quaffle but she could not see from the swirls of blue and red. Breathing deeply Polly prepaired herself for a tense game. Having just faught Hufflepuff the current winners Polly knew that this game could mean everything for them.
Moving the handle of her broom Polly began to circle the Ravenclaw goal posts keeping her eyes sharp. Polly searched everywhere for the Quaffle and which side had snatched hold of it.

Ra-Ra-Ravenclaw (yep, that's the goose Rigby was talking about! xD)

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"......and one, and two .. and three". Cris was just finishing her warm-up when she peeked out of the Gryffindor locker room. Oh, Rigby and Polly from the Ravenclaw team were already there! And the Quaffle had also just been released, how could she have lost so much time? Hurrying to get on her boots and gloves, she ran out onto the pitch.

She slipped and almost fell onto the muddy ground. "Good thing indeed that we're flying," she thought while taking off and speeding towards Polly and Rigby to greet them in turn.

"Nice mistletoe you've got there, Rigby!", she exclaimed. "Hoping to get a certain cold blooded pale guy under it, huh?". She winked and started humming "Silent night" and lightly shaking her head.

"You know what?", she suddenly observed, "Quidditch is a really Christmas-y sport, don't you think so? I mean, don't you just feel like hanging that snitch into your Christmas tree? .. but oh well... that was just me being random!"

With these words, she was off, flying a few warm-up rounds and taking up her lookout position.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)
Kim hurried into the locker room and put on all her layers, preparing for the freezing air. Although there was no snow it was cold from the last match. She ran onto the pitch and flew into the air just as the match was beginning. She saw that only three other people were on the field, two of them Ravenclaws-a good sign. She was energized and started off good, right as the Quaffle was released she took it. The only opposer was the Seeker so she made a super easy goal. The seeker was looking for the Snitch and had barely seen her. Yep, just a few seconds into the game and they were up by ten. :santagrin:

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy ran down to the field and just as she was about to open the door to enter the Ravenclaw Locker room she had felt her legs leave out from under her. All she saw was the door and then the sky as she felt a great deal of pain shoot up her back. Getting up, Stephy rubbed her back as she pushed open the door.

Stephy quickly ran over to her locker and started to pull everything out of it. She pulled out her robes, her beater bat, her gloves, and her lucky penny. Giving her lucky penny a quick kiss, Stephy then quickly threw on her robes and looked into the nearest mirror to make sure that they were on right this time and she saw that they were. She then pulled out of her pockets a hair band and she tied her air up into a tight bun. It mgiht be frezzing on there but she had to have her hair out of her eyes so that she would be able to see where all of the Bludgers were at. Once she was satisfied with they way her hair looked, she then threw on her gloves and grabed her bat along with her broom and ran outside which she quickly regretted.

On her hast to get outside, Stephy had once again fallen on her back. "Im so glad Im going to be spending most of the day in the sky" Stephy said to herself as she got back to her feet again. Not wanting to fall down again, Stephy quickly dismounted her broom and gave a small kick too afraid to push off of the ground any harder.

Once in the air she quickly spotted that most of the field was covered with blue blurs, that was a good sign. Stephy gave her fellow ravenclaws a quick wave before she turned to attention to finding the Bludgers. As soon as she started looking she quickly spotted one at the Gryffindor side of the pitch. Laying down on her broom, Stephy quickly made her way over to the other side of the picth. Once she was within distance of the black ball she made sure that she was facing towards the Gryffindor Seeker before she gripped the bat with both hands and threw them back. Once the Bludger was directly inf front of her, Stephy threw her arms forward with all the strength she could muster and with a loud crack that filled the stadium the Bludger soared over towards the seeker. Stephy sat back on her broom as she watched the black ball quickly make its way towards the Gryffindor

Gryffindor Chaser.

Wippee *sarcatically*... They were playing Ravenclaw again and Katie could safely say that she was not worried about being late. As she walked down the steps to her dormitory she even took the time to pet her cat, Charlie as he rubbed against her heavily layered ankles. Then with a reounding sigh of reluctance to step out onto the freezing pitch once again she walked through the portrait of the Fat Lady and headed thorugh the castle on the way to the pitch.

When she arrived at the locker room and she got her robes on and once again tied her hair back in the the long french braids that her friends had come to expect Katie finally started to get pumped up. This was quidditch! And as much as Katie denied it she couldn't wait to get back into the air once more.

As she pulled open the locker room door to walk out onto the pitch, Katie braced herself for the burst of freezing cold air. And it came as she expected. At least theres no snow she thought to herself as she stepped out onto the pitch. The next thing she knew, Katie was flat on her back looking straight up into the cloudless blue sky as she slid across a remarkably cold surface. The pain on her bottom and back of her head told her that the ground was sold ice and she being as graceful as ever had slipped. Helping herself to her feet, the mebarressment Katie now felt could probably melt the ice in a millisecond.

Needless to say, making it into the air was a relief for Katie. She quickly saw her fellow teammates and waved them a hello. Then panic struck... the game had begun! Her first instict was to find that quaffle!

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby laughed as Cris flew towards her, happy as always to be playing quidditch with her friend, even if they were on opposite sides. She rolled her eyes at Cris's Draco Malfoy reference. The pure bred Slytherin held no interest for her. Now, a former Gryffindor Captain hotness by the name of Oliver... well, that was another story.

The game had already started, but the snitch was doing its usual disappearance act. A Gryffindor chaser joined the players, but Rigby was confident that Polly was up to the challenge. Besides, there were some houses that thought Ravenclaw quidditch was dead, but they were certainly going to be in for a surprise.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly's heart pounded in her chest as the other playes began to fly up into the sky. Taking a deep breath she puffed out to see her breath shimmer in frount of her in the cold. Giggling slightly she began to make little puffs into the air and watch her breath shimmer in front of her eyes.

Drawing her attention back to the game they were 10 up. When did that happen? Shaking her head Polly cursed herself for not having her full attention on the game.

Some people did not think that Ravenclaw were not a force to be recconed with. Ha well they were in for a big surpirse. Smiling evily. Polly began to quickly fly around the hoops make a blurr of blue streek through the air. Peoples attention began to turn onto her and even though Polly was quite shy she wanted to draw the attention to her so that kim who currently had the quaffle could make a second try.

With having non such luck Polly pulled out her wand and held it to her neck. Casting her spell she amplified her face. Coughing she winsed at the loudness of the noise. Now all the faces in the stands were drawn to her. Darn Polly thought as she had not thought what to say. Flicking her dark black hair over her shoulders Polly began to sing the chant from the last match. 'RA..RA..RAVENCLAW you can do it RA..RA..RAVENCLAW' some people in the crowd began to cheer. Making Polly giggle she remebered the chear they did in spirit week.

Moving a strang of hair that had fallen into her eyes she cleared her throught again and sang. 'RA..RA..RAVENCLAW, WE'VE GOT SPIRIT, YES WE DO! RA..RA..RAEVENCLAW WE.VE GOT SPIRIT HOW ABOUT YOU?'
Slightly shocked at the noise that came back she could hear a roar from the crowd and a constant chant of Ra..ra..ravenclaw began to form.

Polly pulled the jumped up a bit more as her ears were freezing. It was a Ravenclaw turtle neck jumper that she had quickly thrown on under her Quidditch uniform as it was so cold.

Drawing her attention back to the game Polly tried to concentrate whilst keeping up a constant Ravenclaw chear going.

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain)

::Herby started to run to the pitch full tilt. Knowing the quaffle had already been released along with the budgers. Herby grips her beaters bat and broom and sores onto the pitch.::

::A smile started to from on her face; as she glanced around and saw her house dominating the pitch. She knew right away that this was going to be a great game.::

::Herby started to glance around and take note of who was here. Of course they weren't legally allowed paper on the pitch but Herby had a great memory.::

Ah, Stephy, Polly, Rigby, and LOONYkim. Excellent!

::Picking up speed Herby started to look for a stray bludger. There has to be one somewhere around here. Just as she was about to find Stephy, Herby spotted one left and center of the pitch.::

::As she flew faster and faster, tears started to fill her eyes. The wind seemed a bit relentless. As she the approached the bludger she swung her bat and a loud cracking sound echoed in Herbys ears. Keeping the bludger close to her, Herby waiting for the plan to come into motion::

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June cursed at herself as she grabbed her broom and bat from her locker, pushed her fingers through her gloves, and ran out of the Gryffindor Locker Rooms, clad in her Gryffindor Quidditch robes. How could she be so late?! She had never ever been this late before…. Aliza’s going to kiilllll me…. Everyone’s going to kill me!!! June reached the pitch, swung her leg over her broom, and kicked off. Instantly, she was sent hurtling into the air and for a brief moment, she let the wonderful feeling of flying take over her… before she remembered that she had a game to play… and she would play her hardest against Ravenclaw. As she flew through the air looking for a bludger, June shouted with all her might, “GO GO GRYFFINDOR!!!!!!!!!!!!”

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Gryffindor were now chearing. Scowling at the Gryffindor supporters Polly amplified her voice so that the Ravenclaw chears could be heard. 'RA..RA..RAVENCLAW, WE'VE GOT SPIRIT, YES WE DO! RA..RA..RAVENCLAW, WE'VE GOT SPIRIT HOW ABOUT YOU?

Polly knew that it was a Quidditch match not a supporting match but as the quaffle was not coming her way she thought that no harm could be done if she cheared for her team. Continuing the shouts and having the loud Ravenclaw cries come back at her, Polly had comepletly forgetten about her worries.

The last quidditch match she had played in Polly's nerves had taken over her and that had controlled the game but this time she was more confident she was in her element. Polly loved playing quidditch and playing in the house team was like a dream come true.

Polly did a quick scan for the Quaffle but saw that all was safe. This game had a lot less action than that of the Hufflepuff one. Ah well at least I won't have to worry about letting my team down, she thought. But then she felt disapointed as she watched the other players soar past her all doing there bit proving just how good the Ravenclaw quidditch team were. And Polly would have to wait until a Gryffindor came down to her end of the pitch before she could prove that point.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June made a face at Polly's Ravenclaw cheering. In retaliation, she cried, "GRYFFINDOR FOR THE GOLD!!!!! GO GO GRYFFINDOR!!!!!!!!" June swept the pitch with her eyes, searching for a bludger. She shivered... it was freezing! Suddenly, a black blur darted away at the side of her vision and June spun around. She focused on it and began chasing it. Bludger!!!!! June narrowed her eyes against the freezing wind as she sped after it. She pressed herself against her broom, willing it to go faster.... Come on... The bludger was almost within reach...

A colorful stream of words erupted in June's mind as the bludger suddenly darted out of the way, making almost a 90 degree turn. "Stupid Bludger!" June shouted after it, and breathed on her gloved hands as she turned as well and began to follow it. As she flew, June realized that whenever she almost got close enough to hit the bludger, it always seemed to fly somewhere else, out of her grasp... June was fed up. June had had enough.

June had freaking finals and should be studying right now but noooo.... here she was chasing after bludgers!!! of course, June completely disregarded the fact that June loved being here, flying in this game, chasing bludgers... But they were getting on her nerves. The next time she was almost about to be able to hit the ball, June was ready, she was prepared, she was NOT going to let the bludger get away again!

She targeted its movements, every one of them, no matter how tiny... And when she raised her bat, she was 95% sure that the bludger would fly to the right... Thank god she was right handed, then. And thank God that at that moment, the bludger did just that. With a CRASH!, June sent the bludger spiralling away from her, and directly towards Kim, the lone Ravenclaw Chaser.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Not incredibly late this time, thought Elana as she raced into the Ravenclaw locker room. As she was clambering into her Quidditch robes, under which were a pair of team sweats and sweatshirt, she heard the tell-tale ding which meant one team was up ten points! Hoping it was for Ravenclaw, she grabbed her broom, and ran out onto the pitch. This - sigh - turned out to be a bad idea, and she soon lost her footing on the mega-slippery ground. Letting out a surprised squeak, Elana found herself looking up at the sky from her position on her back on the ground.

Lovely way to start the game. Wouldn't you agree?

But she couldn't let a little fall stop her. Elana carefully stood, and got on her broom before more trouble happened. Once in the air, she took stock of the score (ten-zip), and players on the pitch. She happily noted that most of the Ravens had arrived - a rather fluffy looking Kate, and eager-to-play Kim, Herby, and Polly. But it seemed as though many of the Gryffies had come too...Elana took off towards the Gryffife goals, waiting for the Quaffle to be thrown back into play.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)
Kim gave a hearty, "WOOT!!"
She was happy, after all she made the first goal of the game. She didn't get her hopes up too high though because it was likely to be a long game. Her happiness ended quickly as a Bludger whammed into her back. Her forehead hit her broom from the force of the hit. It was difficult not to yell out from pain. She turned around and saw a Gryffindor Beater laughing.
There were more players in the air, almost 14. They were missing only one Ravenclaw and a few Griffies. She noticed her fellow Chaser and painfully flew over to her. She could hear their Keeper chanting with the crowd. They greeted each other then formed a plan of action.
I'm grateful this isn't a walking sport or else I might have had to quit already. But as we get further into the season I'll get used to the hard blows, thought Kim.

Rigby was happy to see so many of her teammates and favorite Gryffies in the air. She winced when she saw Kim take a bludger to the back, smacking her head off her broom. It was the first of probably many injuries to come. Unless you counted all the people who had slipped on the ice before actually joining the game, but Rigby wasn't.

For what had to be the millionth time of the game, Rigby shifted her weight on her broom. Now she knew why seekers were usually small, flying with this overstuffed snowsuit under her quidditch robes was causing her issues. She was finding it hard to balance naturally on her broomstick. She needed to find her comfort zone in a hurry, before the snitch made it's appearance.

Gryffindor Rules

Gryffindor Chaser and Co-captain

Aliza hurried in to the changing rooms - she wasn't desperately late but still late enough for it to be shameful. She got changed at lightening speed, grabbed her broom, and hurried on to the pitch - not realising the icy floor. She slipped and very nearly landed on her butt...

Blushing a little she mounted her broom and kicked off into the air. As she was flying her banner unfurled, from the last quiddiitch game that coincided with spirit week. It said "Go Go Gryffindor" on it and she was very proud of it, even if it did hinder her a little.

After glancing around the pitch she managed to get her bearings - a Ravenclaw had just scored. She flew up to the posts, waiting for the ball to be caught back into play. She caught the quaffle and whistled to June - signalling she was ready for a play.

(Ravenclaw keeper)

Polly saw that a Gryffindor had hold of the quaffle. Her hands shaking on her broom Polly pulled her gloves over tightly. They were black leather ones the best kind for playing quidditch. Not only did they keep you hands warm but they had a good grip so you could keep hold of your broom.

Polly heard Aliza whistling for June. "Stephy get on Junes tail" Polly called hoping that stephy would hear her. If not she would be glad if any of the other players could get on her tail to block her.

Knowing the gryffindor team an amazing team move was about to be pulled of and she was going to be on the recieving end of it.

Noticing that she was floating near the left hoop Polly jurked her broom quickly to the right and headed for the centre. Once there she pushed her head out of her face so it didn't get in the way and began her deep breathing exericise's where her whole focuses was not on the plays but on the quaffle. Thing thing that would no doubt be soaring her way soon.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie heard Aliza's whistle and new what to do. She was waiting for June to take the lead so that there play would be succesful.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy sat up high above all of the others and she satrted to star out into space. Stephy didnt notice all of the Gryffindors that had just gotten onto the pitch until Polly cried out her name and told her to go after June. Scanning the skies she quickly found a Bludger that was headed towards Elana. Flattening herself against her broom, Stephy quickly gain speed and made her way across the field.

Once she saw several feet from the Bludger heading for Elana, Stephy threw back her bat and directed her swing towards June. With a loud crack, Stephy watched as the Bludger changed targets and soared after the Gryffindor instead. Smiling, Stephy turned her broom around to look for more Bludgers

Ra-Ra-Ravenclaw

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"Juney!", Cris cried, "Out of the way!". Having just seen Stephy direct a bludger directly towards her sister, Cris was starting to get worried ... would June see it in time? She knew it was a pretty suicidal thing to do, but she nevertheless decided to try and get that bludger away from her just in case. The snitch wasn't in sight anyway.

Bending low on her broom, Cris accelerated until she was right behind June - and the bludger. "Ohhh, bludger-poo!", she cried with a mocking voice, trying to attract its attantionto her instead - although she didn't have the faintest idea of what would happen afterwards. But alas, it wouldn't take her too long to find out, as she could already see the bludger slowing down, stopping - Cris' heart leapt and she tore her broom into the opposite direction, back where she came from, in less than an eye's blink - then it raced towards her.

"Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea... ", Cris kept thiniking while speeding around the pitch, trying to get rid of the missile-like bludger behind her. Flying close to other people did, curiously, not help, and while her broom seemed to be slowing down in comparison to the bludger, Cris ran out of ideas. Then a sudden spark of genius came to Cris' little crazy mind - the only problem was, it could go horribly wrong. "Oh well, no time for anything else", she concluded.

Braking with all her power, Cris risked a violent hit by the bludger and she would have been lying in the grass, unconscious, the very next moment, had it not been for the sudden jerk upwards that she gave her broom. The bludger only hit her knee - however, pretty hard. Not feeling the pain yet, Cris tried to kick it away with al her force. The impact managed to change the bludger's track into ome unknown direction Cris couldn't follow (and was too relieved of having got rid of it to actually be interested), but at the same time, Cris, along with her whole broom, revolved around herself a turn or two, almost losing her balance.

"Whoa!', Cris thought when all was clear again. "That was... errr.... I.. am dizzy!". Patting her head to check that all was in place, Cris slowly flew away, yet she couldn't help but feel a certain weird and unexplicable feeling in her knee, as if dizzyness wasn't everything she had got from her last play. The worst part was to come, as she felt her knee and noticed the bone was kind of... loose. "This is gonna hurt like ..... ..but later." (Ravenclaw Beater)

After a few minutes of looking for a Bludger, Stephy decided that she would look to see if June was falling off of her broo but when she looked around she saw that it wasnt anywhere near her. "What in the world. Where did it go?" Stephy asked herself as she scanned the sky for any sign of the bluger that was aimed at her. Lookign she saw that the Gryffidor Seeker decided that she would save June and risk her life instead,

Stephy sat on her broom and she watched the Seeker felying away from the black ball til she ended up kicking it instead itno the other direction. Stephy saw her chance and quickly amde her way down towards the Bludger and aimed to towards June again and she hoped this time the ball would make its target

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

There was a crack behind her...June spun around and her eyes narrowed as she saw a bludger heading right towards her face! Not good.... Not good !!!! Suddenly, someone appeared in front of her. June made a face, trying to figure out which Gryffindor it was with only the back of her head to go on. When she spoke, June's eyebrows shot up in surprise. Cris! What was she doing?!?! June wouldn't let her take the bludger for her!

"Cris, get out of the way!!" Thankfully, almost as she was saying the words, June saw that Cris sprinted away... followed by the bludger. June chased after her, her bat held tightly at her side. Before June could reach Cris, the Gryffindor Seeker jerked her broom upwards and June backtracked, surprised at the sudden movement. Apparently, so was the bludger. It glanced off Cris's knee and sped off... right towards June.

Crap! June raised her bat. A few more seconds… Suddenly, a blue blur – Stephy – flew between June and the bludger and June stared, incredulous. That incredulity rapidly turned into irritation as Stephy gave the bludger an extra push, sending it towards June even faster! But this time, June was ready. She remembered Aliza’s previous whistle as she raised her bat high, focused her aim on the oncoming bludger and at the person beyond, and with a WHAM!, June sent the bludger hurtling towards the Ravenclaw goal posts. The bludger headed all the way across the pitch, aiming straight for Polly’s back.

Soring towards Stephy, Herby watched as the tennis game begin. First Stephy then June, it was also like they had it in for each other.

Gripping her beaters bat, Herby stood ready to defend Stephy at any cost. Even if that meant flying into a bludger. For she would do anything for her team. As she watched Stephy send the bludger back to June, Herby began to relax a bit. For at this moment danger wasn't coming towards them.

Watching June, spin around and crack the bludger; was quiet impressive. Herby had never seen June pull off such an advance skill. It completely took her by surprise. But before she was able to talk to Stephy, Herbys eyes widened as the bludger was now headed towards Polly.

Flating out on her broom, Herby took off as fast as she could. Her eyes started to fill up with tears. There was no way she was going to stand by and watch Polly get cracked with a bludger.

Gasping a bit for air, it started to get impossible to see. The wind was not helping this situation. But before she knew it a huge crack was sent echoing through Herbys ears. The bludger had hit Herbys broomstick. Spinning out of control, she tried her hardest to control the spinning.

She began to fall lower and lower. It took several minutes for the spinning to finally stop, as Herby struggled to control it. She was fine but her broom unfortunately was now sluggish and seemed to lean to the right. Not to mention she had a huge dent in the side and it seemed to be a bit crooked.

June gasped, eyes wide, as she watched Herby intercept the bludger. June hadn’t really expected the bludger to reach Polly without some interference, but she DEFINITELY hadn’t expected the demise of Herby’s broom! June sped off to chase after the bludger. It hadn’t gone that far, having been slowed down by the Ravenclaw’s broom, so it didn’t use that much skill to reach it.

For some reason, the bludger seemed confused… as if it couldn’t decide in which direction to fly next. Of well, all the better for June! The Gryffindor flew neck and neck with the bludger and raised her wand. She bit her lip and dragged a little burst of speed from her broom, allowing her to pull past the black ball. June stretched out her arm and winced as the force of the wind almost tore her bat out of her hand.

She didn’t hit the bludger, not really. Her bat was just a buffer for the bludger and June gritted her teeth as said bludger slammed into the bat. The force of the hit sent jitters up June’s arm and she clutched her bat tighter. The buffering act had slowed the bludger down a bit, allowing June to tap it again on its other side before it could escape. Now, it was almost all automatic. June had used the tapping effect many times in practice and in games. Basically, she created a kind of moving cage around the bludger.

With the black ball in her power, June flew towards Herby. “Are you okay?” she asked, paying close attention so that her bludger wouldn’t get stolen by the Ravenclaw. As she waited for an answer, June flew upwards above the Ravenclaw and sighted Polly. June moved her bat away from the bludger, waited for the bludger to show signs of escaping, and with both hands clutching the base of her bat, June hit the bludger, sending it towards Kate.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)
Kim observed everything- the ping pont match with the Bludger, the Gryffindor's plan start to set in action, the Ravenclaw, Herby, get pegged with the ball, and the Gryffindor get hit. It was a lot of action to take in at once.
The Bludger bounced off the Seeker's knee and headed directly for her!! Kim couldn't believe it. She flew around trying to confuse ball. The ball kept on following her and she was afraid of the wind blurring and stinging her eyes to the point where she couldn't see out of them, besides the fact that it was freezing and her backside was starting to become numb. This was all bad news for Kim.

//Kim, ummm... I believe the bludger that you're saying is following you is the one that Stephy hit at me, and that I hit towards Polly, and the one that is now going towards Kate.\\

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

After Polly had been cleared of the bludger attack she saw that it was now heading towards Kate. Crying out 'Stephy quick back Kate. Kate watch out.' Polly voice felt streched. Coughing slightly she noticed that she had come out of the scoring area in her hurry to warn Kate. Turning back towards it her heart beating fast in her chest she placed herself in the middle of the scoring area.

It was getting colder now even though she was moving around she could feel cold shivers coarsing through her body. Blowing onto her hands as she rubbed them together she hoped in vain that it warm up.

After that failing Polly whipped out her wand and began to cast a blue fire spell. Shaking her hair out of the way so as not to catch flame Polly turned her attention back to the game.

It was quite an active game and Polly saw as the bluders zoomed around the pitch that anything could happen so taking off the spell she breathed so that she could try and take her concentration away from the cold.

Polly was slightly glad that there was not much going on at her end of her pitch as she thought that her refleces would not be as good because it was so cold.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby heard Polly's warning, which was good thing since, she hadn't heard anything. She jerked her broom to the left, but the bludger caugt the tail end of her broom, sending Rigby into a spin.

Oh, this is not good! she thought. Her sense of balance was already compromised by the snow suit, and spinning always made her ill. She tried pulling up on her broom to stop its movement, but she only managed to start sliding down her broom. She tried to hold on, but her hands were slipping.

The broom finally stopped spinning, and for a moment Rigby thought she was going to be able to scramble back onto the broom. Unfortunatly her hands gave up their precious grip and Rigby plummeted to the ground, letting out a scream worthy of horror movie scream queen.

She hit the ground face up, knocking the wind out of herself. Rigby was stunned, and just a bit afraid to move. She'd never fallen so far, what if she had broken her entire body? Tentatively she move her arms, followed by her legs. Everything seemed to be working. She sat up, her body only slightly protesting. No doubt she would be sore tomorrow, but her fluffly snow suit had seemed to absorb most of the landing.

Rigby heard a sound, and turned her head, seeing her broom hovering next to her. She glared at it, causing the broom to dip lower to the ground, as if ashamed for letting her fall. Sighing, Rigby stood up and hopped on. There was still the snitch to catch, near death experiences could be celebrated later.

Gryffindor Rules

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly heard a scream and turned to see her friend Kate soar towards the floor with her mouth held open all play seemed to be forgotten and the attention of the crowd was that of Kate.

Abondoning her position Polly flew down to the ground. Looking back over her should quickly she hugged kate and asked if she was okay.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captian}

"I'm surprisingly okay, Pols!" said Rigby, assuring the worried keeper. The truth of the matter was the tight hug was in more danger of breaking her bones than her previous fall.

"Lets go! I'm gonna catch that snitch, and you are gonna block every quaffle thrown your way!" Rigby was getting a bit carried away, but the excitement of the game was coming back to her. Christmas was almost here, and Herby had planned a big party for the quidditch players... if they won. Smiling maniacally, Rigby was ready to face bludgers. Flying high, away from Polly, she began to search the sky in earnest.

Gryffindor Rules

(Raveclaw Beater)

FRom where she was stationed at, Stephy watched as her fellow Ravenclaws were attacked by Bludgers right and left. She watched as the Bludger headed towards Polly and before she could do anything Herby came by and, even though it had hit her broom, she was able to deflect the ball.

Now that she saw that Polly was safe for now, Stephy returned her attention to looking for a Bludger but as she found one nearby she heard a shout from Polly and turning around she saw a Bludger heading stright for Kate. Stephy knew that theres was no one she could catch up to the black ball in time before it was to hit Kate but still she tried to save her.

Stephy flattened herself down on her broom and quickly felt the cold wind bite that her face. Fighting back the cold, Stephy continued her flight path towards Kate but to her horror she didnt get there in time. She watched as the Bludger hit Kate's broom and saw her fall to the ground. Stephy was going to go to Kate's aid but she saw Polly go down and decided that she might as well as take revenge.

Glaring across the pitch, Stephy quickly spotted June again before she continued to chase after the Bludger. Once she had causght up she directed her broom so that she was in the Bludger path. Holding her bat tightl;y, she threw all of her wieght forward and with a loud crack, she wathced as the Bludger quickly soared down towards were June was at.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June stared, her mouth agape. Kate had fallen!!! June quelled her first instinct to help her friend, and reminded herself that it was a game! After all, all’s fair in love and war. June nodded to herself and looked around. “Bludger bludger bludger….” She muttered as she scanned the skies.

June directed her attention downwards and gave a small smile at the sight of Kate flying, seemingly well. She looked upwards again squinted against the harsh sunlight. “bludger….” June sighed as she slowly turned on her broom. Suddenly, a dark shadow flitted at her peripheral vision and June’s breath hitched as she snapped her head around. A bludger? But… the dark shadow was gone… Huh, she must have been hallucina-

CRACK! June hissed as she felt something hit her left arm. Ow ow ow ow ow….. June panted as she spun around on her broom… it was spinning out of control! June winced as she bent down and stuck her bat between her legs. Now with her right arm free, the Gryffindor grabbed her broom tightly. “Stop spinning!” she pleaded with it and finally, it stopped and hovered.

June retrieved her bat and let out a tiny scream as the motion hurt her left arm. Stupid bludger… she hadn’t meant for it to appear that way! June raced after it and bent her left side, shielding her arm from the wind. She had no idea what had happened to it…. But it hurt like the opposite of heaven! June glared at the bludger and began to close in on it. Well, since I don’t have anything else to hit at the moment…

“AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!” June screamed aloud, putting all her frustration and hurt into her hit, as she raised her bat, tried to ignore the pain, and sent the bludger hurtling faster than ever before, straight at Stephy’s back.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

After her temporary zoning-outage, Elana jerked to attention as she heard a Bludger zoom by. Close one! She frantically looked about the pitch for her players, the Bludgers, the Quaffle, whatever she could see! With a start, she registered a Bludger zooming very very hard at Stephy. Quickly, she cried, "Look out, Steph!" Hoping the sound of her shout would reach the Beater in time, Elana returned to her search for the Quaffle. She spotted it down at the other end of the pitch - it had just been thrown back into play by the Gryffindor Keeper. Perfection.

She flew through the maze of players down the pitch, and caught the bright ball as it dropped down. Tucking it securely under an arm, she pulled up on her broom with the other arm, zooming upwards until she was in front of the goal posts. She sat up and, not committing to any certain goal, flew back and forth a few times to try and confuse the Keeper. After a few moments, Elana drew back her arm, and threw the Quaffle at the center hoop. Hoping this one would go in, she flew back, watching as the Quaffle neared the hoop...

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Ding! The sound of Elana's goal was music to Rigby's frozen ears. She had finally caught sight of the snitch and was busy tracking it, but still several feet behind. The crowd was cheering the Ravenclaw score, and the noise they were making was spurring Rigby to fly faster and faster still.

She had learned to balance better on her broomstick, especially now that she wasn't afraid of falling. When this game was done she was going to send a great big thank you card to the designers of her snow suit.

The snitch dipped, and Rigby dipped with it, flying low to the ground one moment, then darting quickly upward. She was catching up to it. In a few moments the snitch could be hers. She pushed her broom faster, inching closer to the golden blur.

It...it went in?

It went in!!!

Beaming with pride at her first goal (I think XD), Elana performed her usual victory dance. It was short lived, however, for the slippery broom wasn't stable, and it was much much safer to just sit on it without moving more than needed...but that, of course, wasn't as fun. After she finished, it took a minute for Elana to register the second reason for Ravenclaw supporters cheers. Kate was after the Snitch! If anything could be done to better Elana's mood, it was that. "You've got this Kate!" she yelled. She followed their Seeker's path as she rocketed after the Snitch, praying that she would catch it and they could go warm up. A mug of hot cocoa had never seemed so wonderful...

Oh no! Kate was after the Snitch! June gasped and turned, searching in desperation for a bludger. There was one! Holding her arm stiffly against her chest, June bent over her broom and urged it to go faster towards the black ball. “Go go go!” she whispered as the wind scratched at her face and tangled her hair. Her broom, as if sensing her need, went. June bit her lip as she neared her destination. Bludger… She was focused on one thing and on one thing alone. That bludger.

June hissed in pain as she raised her bat with her right hand, having forgotten about her injured left one. Any minute now… June drew her arm back, sighted near her to a flying Kate, and quickly swung her arm in three quick loops, gaining momentum, before she slammed her bat into the bludger, sending it right at the Ravenclaw Seeker.

Okay, I'm cold and tired, it's time to catch this snitch! Rigby flew after the snitch, gaining on it. The cold air flew past her, stinging the tender skin on her face. The snitch began to climb up, in a large twirled pattern. Rigby wrapped herself tighter around the broom, and followed suit. She heard a bludger coming at her, but she couldn't change her course now. Instead she sped up, and although she felt the whoosh of the bludger, she managed to avoid a collision with it.

High up in the sky now, the snitch leveled off. Rigby flew after it, inching up on her broom, so close that if she lunged she could catch it. Suddenly the snitch shot up, and Rigby jumped, her snowsuit clothed bum bouncing off her broom. Reaching up, both hands, Rigby captured the snitch!

She fell back down on her broom, bouncing a few more times before gaining control. She tucked the snitch safely in her right hand and held her arm triumphantly in the sky. Unlike the last game against Hufflepuff, she wasn't going to let this catch go by un-noticed.

June's breath hitched as she watched Rigby's path and the bludger's. Please please please..... Pssh no. Of course not. The bludger missed and the Ravenclaw Seeker had caught the snitch. June sighed as her hopes deflated, but she put on a smile and flew over to a side of the pitch. She'd congratulate Rigby and the Ravenclaw's later, but for now, she'd wait and plan the lecture she was going to give the Gryffindors. Or not... maybe I'll just shout and scream.. but no, that would be "unprofessional". How June hated having to be professional at times.

As STephy was searching the sky for another Bludger she heard her name being called out. I hope no one is being attacked by a Bludger now Stephy thought as she quickly turned her broom around- which was a bad thing.

Not expecting the Buldger, STephy quickly raised her bat out of insict but she relized too late that she was holding her bat too hiigh. She tried to lower it but she knew that she was going to be quick enough, all she could do was watch as the Bludger came ever closer to her face.

Stephy saw the Bludger inches from her face and the next thing she knew it the black ball had collided into her face. Stephy dropped her bat and yelled out in pain as she felt the hard ball break her nose before bouncing off into the other direction.

Stephy tehn raised her hands up to her nose and felt some warm substance running down into her palms. Holding her hands in from of her eyes she saw that they were covered in her own blood. "I cant be bleeding now" Stephy moaned as she looked across the field and saw to her delight that Kate had caught the Snitch.

Forgetting about the pain in her face, Stephy quickly flew over to Kate and said "Well done Kate."
