Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See this post for more info.

{First Time Hufflepuff Beater}

::Ginny quickly put her robes on, determined to make a good impression on her first day as a beater. The nerves she had felt on her first Quidditch match were coming back full force, because, in a way, this was a first match for her again. The first match for her as a beater. And her first match for quite a long time. She had been called in a bit last minute by the Hufflepuff team captain, and her only training had been in Elana's "Beater Training" class, but she sincerely hoped she would do a good job and not let her team down. Elana had said she did well...and she'd be playing against Elana today. Gulp. At least she had Etta, legendary mistress of the bat, to help her out with, she reminded herself. She adjusted her goggles carefully on the top of her head so they wouldn't fall off, noting with irony that as she did her stomach seemed to have dropped off to Austrailia or something, because it sure didn't feel with her. That was probably for the best, if it made an appearance, she wasn't sure it would be the good kind. She swallowed again and tried taking a deep breath ended up sounding more like some poor cat was wheezing on a hairball. How lovely. She rubbed her eyes and blinked, knowing she needed her eyesight twice as much today as she had when she was once a Chaser. After making sure her over robe wasn't on backwards-and no, blessedly, it was not-and ensuring she had pants-that part she had momentarily forgot...oops-she picked up her broom and beater bat and got ready to go out onto the field.

As she took her first step out, she looked around and realized that her good impression wasn't going to be witnessed by anyone, because she was the only one out on the pitch. I hope things don't stay that way. Ginny muttered to herself. That would be the most splendid thing ever. Not. As she mounted her broom and took off, she felt the familiar thrill of exhiliration that flying always brought on. Oh why did I ever stop doing this. she smiled. Then she realized that maneuvering with the Beater bat was something she had forgotten how to do since her training. Oh bug...s...bunny.. She stopped herself from swearing. In her own mind. And there was no one around anyway. Oh well. Back to managing. She hefted the bat so that it was about chest level with her yellow and black striped sweater and tried flying straight. She wobbled a little to the right, so shifted her weight. That seemed to work better for her. Oh, that's right. My weight has to be distributed differently so that I can account for the extra bat weight. Ginny demonstrated a swing, and unlike the first time she had tried in training, didn't fall off her broom, or even nearly so. Her spirits brightened. Perhaps she wouldn't do so poorly after all. And that was something. Ginny continued flying contentedly around the pitch, swinging one way, then another; flying in a complex pattern and then a less complex one after nearly hitting her goalposts....twice.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

The air was warm, the wind that reached her in the tunnel carried the hint of spring with it. Rigby, for once on time, if not early(!), for a game, bounced toward the pitch, broomstick in hand. The last game had been great, and she was looking forward to another good game against Gryffindor. They were the reigning champs afterall, but Rigby knew her team was hungry for a cup.

Getting close to the exit, Rigby now hopped on her broomstick and zoomed onto the pitch. She wasn't suprised to see a Gryffindor already on the field, but she was surprised to see Ginny as a beater.

Uh,oh, she thought, new beaters tend to go bludeger crazy. She was sure that Ginny would turn out to be as a formidiable foe with a bat in hand as she was in the classroom. Mentally sighing, she began to stretch her muscles, preparing them for the inevitable beating they were going to be taking. She had gotten lucky in the last game, not so much as a bludger grazing, but odds were that her luck would not be holding out.

Rigby flew high in the air, waving to Ginny and the early gathered crowd. The rest of her team should be showing up soon, so Rigby busied herself with practice dives and corkscrews.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Go away! I told you I'm sleeping!" Skie rolled over and thrust the covers over her head to block out all sounds. There was that blasted noise coming from her alarm clock again. Couldn't the stupid thing tell that she was trying to sleep? It's not like there was a quidditch game or anything today... "Oh CRUD!! QUIDDITCH!" Skie jumped out of bed only to find that her alarm clock had gone off only a few minutes ago. "Well, at least I'll be early today," she said, her better nature kicking in. Slipping into her black and gold quidditch robes, Skie hoped that there was nothing under her bed that was alive and would bite if she tried to grab her shoes. Of course, there was and Schuyler emerged from her search with a rat bite, probably from someone's escaped pet that found Skie's disaster zone under her bed a wonderful place to live. Pushing her short brown and black hair out of her eyes, Skie strangled her bed-head locks into a ponytail with her lucky gold hairband. Rushing down into the Hufflepuff locker room, Skie took a deep breath and walked out onto the pitch.
"Morning Ginny!" Skie waved to the new-found beater as she stepped out onto the pitch with her broom. Skie noticed that there was already a small crowd gathered in the stands, ready to see the game. The Ravenclaw seeker had already arrived on the pitch, so Skie hoped that the game would be underway soon. "Ready Timothy?" Skie muttered to her broom. Pushing of the steady ground and up into the air, Skie circled the pitch for her practice lap. "Spins and swoops and steals," she murmured. Soaring straight up into the sun, Skie dove down, hurtling downward, laughing as she felt the wind rush by her face.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Ah, Quidditch. For their second match, the Ravenclaws were playing against the Hufflepuffs, and Elana couldn't be more pumped for the game. Skipping down into their locker room, she could already hear the sound of her fellow students walking up the steps into the stands, also anxious for the game to begin. Taking Regina from her locker, she gave Phoebe a fond pat, once again feeling sorry that she had to leave the bat inside. True, it had been her choice to switch to Chaser, but that didn't mean she didn't miss the old days of whacking Bludgers. Smiling lovingly at those memories, she put on her Ravenclaw blue robes and left the locker room with her broom over a shoulder. Elana swung a leg over her broom and kicked off from the finally springy ground - spring was fastly approaching - and took off into the air. Scanning the pitch, she saw two Hufflepuffs and another Ravenclaw in flight - but what was Ginny holding? Could it be...

"Ginny!" she yelled happily, cupping her hands around her mouth. "You're Beater?!" A spark of pride ignited in her chest, leaving a warm smile on her face. So her Beater Trainings really had done some good for at least one of her students! Not caring that she played for the other team, Elana called out to her, "Remember what I taught you, sweetie - don't get too Bludger-happy at first, ease into it, don't want any of your teammates to get hurt by an over enthusiastic swing and - and have fun!"

(Hufflepuff Beater)

She turned around at the subtle sound of a whoosh that announced the arrival of another flier onto the pitch. She made sure that she was keeping her bat firmly gripped in hand, and peered to see who it was. Rigby, of Ravenclaw. It was her first opponent that had flown up, and not her first team mate. She certainly hoped she'd get a few of the latter soon. Smiling as the breeze brushed a strand of her red hair into her eyes, she nearly knocked herself out with the bat as she attempted to wave and get the hair out of her eyes. It didn't help that her right hand-what she normally did everything with-held the bat. Recovering, clumsily, she waved properly, and watched as Rigby did a few rolls and corkscrews enviously. It's going to take a lot of practice to be able to do those with a bat in my hand. Instead of attempting them to just see if it really would take practice, Ginny focused on more practical things. Like not killing herself when a bird flew too close and she mistook it for a bludger, which hadn't even been released yet.

Someone called out good morning to her as she wriggled her arm in what she fondly imagined in a casual gesture meant to get out kinks. At least that's what she fondly imagined. This time around she did not need to turn around to see who it was that now occupied the field with her and Rigby. Probably a good thing, actually. But an even better thing was the identity of the person who had called out to her. It was Skie, one of her team's chasers, who had shown up. "Good morning, Skie!" she shouted back cheerfully, not hazarding a wave. Like Rigby, Skie then did some moves that made Ginny envious for the days when she didn't 'have a heavy bat in her hand with which she was meant to cause bodily harm to others but seemed to only be really good at causing it to herself. She fondly imagined that the feeling would go away as soon as the bludgers were released and she had something to smack the pants off of. Not that bludgers had pants. The thought of pants wearing bludgers momentarily distracted her train of thought.

Her train of thought was flagged at the station by Elana, and she waved excitedly, completely forgetting all of her 'calm down when you have the bat in your hand' thoughts. Luckily, no animals or people were harmed in the making of this greeting to the Ravenclaw Chaser. Elana had been the Professor to encourage her to try Beating once in a while after Ginny had taken one of her classes. Although she was nervous about having to hit a bludger at her, she was glad she could see her in a real match situation and hoped she'd make Elana proud. "Elana! Hi! It's all thanks to you they've armed me with this" she pointed to the deadly weapon made all the deadlier in her hands. Ginny resisted the urge to fly over and tackle Elana-it might be misconstrued as pre-game violence-for her last minute advice. "Thanks, Lovey. I'll be sure to remember that!" she giggled. "Put up another one of those classes sometime soon so I can get some more training in." She waved again and attempted a few more flying moves slowly.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim walked into the locker rooms. She put on her Quidditch robes and pulled on her socks and Converse. She brushed her hair and put it in pigtails. She was nervous, but it was the usual before-the-game jitters. She had a good feeling because of the last game, Ravenclaw defeated the Slytherins. Yeah I can do this!! We can put down another team!! she thought.

She grabbed her Nimbus 2000 broom and then headed out onto the pitch. She breathed in the fresh air, and looked around at everybody. The stands were still getting filled but there were already shouts and cheers. She saw 2 Hufflepuffs in the air, and two Ravie's- Rigby, and Elana. She straddled her broom and pushed off the ground. She felt the air and smiled, good weather, but still cold. She was grateful for her thermal's underneath her robes. She did a lap around the field and waved at her teammates. Flying around the edge waving she felt like her town's Cattle Call Rodeo Queen. Of course, i'd be riding a horse and be in wranglers if that was me. This made her think about the queen, Alexis, her cousin's girlfriend, well, -ex, she thought.

She hoped the whole team would show up, for once. She was already confident, but a whole team would make her feel better.

(Referee)

Raistlin walked slowly to the pitch. The game had started not long ago so we was not late to release the balls. When he reached the middle of the pitch he put the wooden box he was carrying under hs right arm in the grass. Quickly he opened the box and unstrapped the bludgers that soared like rockets thirsty for some victims then he released the snitch which vanished before he caught a glimpse of it then he finally grabbed the quaffle.

Mounting his broom he flew up to the players.

"Okay children play dirty as long as none of the judges sees it... erm I mean play fairly!"

That said the threw the quaffle in the air and backed away to watch the game.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

A slight movement caused her brown eyes to flick quickly over to its source. It was Rai, the referee. He must be releasing the Quidditch balls. She oriented herself around and kept her eyes carefully on the box he had hauled out with him. The bludgers had flown off with speed that was only matched by the snitch. Momentarily, she forgot her knew position and made to go after the Quaffle. "No, I don't do that anymore." she reminded herself, and darted to the right after the nearest bludger.

Ginny's before-game flying practice had helped a little, she wasn't as nearly unsteady on her broom as she had been when she first arrived on the pitch. And her broom's speed hadn't changed since her last match that long ago. But it still took her some time to catch up to the bludgers. When she finally caught up to one of the little gems, she pulled her arm back, shoulders tense. The first Ravenclaw she could see was Rigby, so, with a slight apology in her mind, she hit it towards her with all of her might.

Man, that felt even better than in class! she realized with a wide grin. Immediately she flew near Skie and shouted joyfully, "I could get used to this!" and brandished her bat, nearly taking off Skie's head. "Oops" she said giddily. "I guess I'll go back to work." She flew around Elana, glad that she didn't hit her first bludger of the day at her. She'd probably feel guiltier about hitting Elana than any other Ravenclaw, but if it was what had to be done...

The other bludger was located at the far end of the field. They have to make you work, don't they? she thought as she turned and headed down that way. She intended to hit Kim next, as she had already hit something at Rigby and wanted to be fair. What a nice Beater she was, doling out pain in equal parts. ((Also, what a sarcastic person is currently writing these posts. And what short posts they are!)) She focused back on her goal and wondered when the Hufflepuff the rest of, well, Hufflepuff was going to get their badger bums on the field.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose smiled as she looked up at the time. She finished the plast paragrapgh of her schoolwork and quicky ran down the stairs. They began to move, away from where she was wanting to go. "No problem", Rose muttered and hopped off them, landing silently and gracefully on solid ground.

Arriving into the Hufflepuf locker rooms, Rose dressed and grabbed her new broom, kissing it and stroking it. "Alright, Amby, lets show you off." Rose had had a lonng conversation with Skie, desiding a name for it. Amby was the result.

Running onto the pitch, Rose saw that the game had just begun, and there where actually people there. She sighed. Yesssssss. All that reminding people had not been a complete waist of her time. The Hufflepuff Chaser jumped onto her broom and shot into the air. Looking to her left, she saw Skie and her broom, Timothy. Rose smiled at her. She also noticed Ginny flying around happily. Ginny was looking like a pro with the beater bat.

"Ok", Rose pulled her gloves on tight and closed her eyes. She hummmmmmmmmed for a few breaths, claming herself with the good old yoga method. Yeah, it wasn't a Japanse calming stly, but Rose didn't seem to like meditating the way she was raised. Opening her eyes, Rose cracked her knuckles. "It's showtime."

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain)

It didn't take Herby as long as it normally did to get ready. As she reached in her closet and grabbed her beaters bat. It clearly had several dents and scraps along the side of it. Oh the good old days started to form a smile upon her face as she gripped the bat.

Feeling that she should get ready for another great game, she left her dorm and headed for the pitch. To her surprise when she entered the pitch, was there was several Huffies and Ravens already here.

Whoot, its going to be a good game.

Hoping on her broom, Herby lifted off the ground. The air blew her hair free as it bounced in her face. She loved the moment of first entering the pitch, and also the audience boxes screaming with delight. Herby took her position and waited for her next move.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose grabbed the quaffle, and zommed towards the Ravenclaw goals. She thought about her hand she had shattered in the last game, and prayed that it wouldn't bug her today.

"Oh great gods of Qidditch", she cried out. "Please help me show much pride for Hufflepuff, and do not let pain interfere in this game!" Spiraling directly at the left Ravenclaw goal post, Rose tossed the quaffle at it with precise aim.

"GO-O-OOOOOO HUFFLEPUFF!" She cried, hoping she was making Etta proud, even though the beater was not yet there.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy sat on her bed reading a book and after what seamed like days she finally reached the end of it. Looking down at her watch she saw the time and had a strange feeling that she was suppose to be doing something right now. What was it? I did most of my school work? I made my bed and did my laundry? What am I forgetting? Stephy thought as she rose form her bed and walked across the dorm to the windows. Her gaze crossed the grounds over to the qudditch pitch. Well it looks like there's people already down there. Wait- there's a qudditch game today!Stephy thought as she raced over to her trunk and pulled out her blue robes, bat, gloves and broom. She quickly threw on her robes and gather her bat, broom and gloves in her arms and ran down towards the pitch.

As she ran down to the pitch she quiockly threw on her gloves and shoving her hand into her robe's pocket she pulled out a hair tie. Juggling with her broom and bat, Stephy placed her hair up into a pony tail with great diffulculty. As soon as her hair was up she noticed that she was now standing on the pitch. Stephy held out her broom and quickly mounted it and kicking hard off of the ground she soar several feet into the air. Looking around she quickly spotted Rigby, Elana, Kim and Herby were already out on the field along with a few Gryffindors. Stephy gave them a smile and a small wave.

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain)

Herby jumped almost off of her broom stick when she saw stephy. It had been forever since she was able to play with her. This was going to be exciting, especially after having two beaters now for Ravenclaw. It was the most they've had in a while.

Herby flew over to stephy and gave her a huge high five.

"Oh, man. I'm I glad to see you!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon had set her alarm clock one hour early in order to get rid of the game...but didn't realized a) it was a muggle alarm clock and b) it had ran out of batteries. So about half and hour after the game had started (give or take a few minuts), she was only roused from Rose's loud yell. Cursing in eight different languages, Dragon grabbed her broom and ran out onto the field.

Spotting the quaffle being thrown back in play after the first goal, she quickly flew into the air then swooped down suddenly to catch it. With the quaffle tightly held in her hands, she waved to Rose and Skie while flying at breaknecking speed at the hoops.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy saw Herby fly over towards her with her hand raised and Stephy held up hers too so that they could high five each other. "It's been a long time since we played together." Stephy called back. "This game is going to be a lot of fun with two beaters on teh Ravenclaw side." she smiled.

Stephy quickly scanned the fielda and saw that one of the bludgers were heading towards Rigby. "Herby we need to save Rigby" Stephy cried out as she pointed towards the black ball speeding towards thier seeker. "We need to move fast" she added as she flattened herself on her broom and quickly gained some speed.

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain)

"It's been a long time since we played together." Stephy Said

"Oh yes! But now is the time to show those Huffies what we are made of."

Herby watched as Stephy turned to look at something. It was a bludger heading straight towards Rigby. Herby saw Stephy zoomed off, and she followed right behind her tail.

After a few loop de loops, Herby and Stephy were gaining on the bludger and Rigby. Herby flew to the side away from Stephy and was working on protecting her. She only hoped that Stephy would deal with the bludger that was now soring towards them as she was going to protect Rigby as all cost. Feeling a bit stressed she gripped her beaters bat, hoping it would come in handy.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy quickly gained speed as she soared over towards Rigby, she could feel her heartbeat racing. She had to quickly get there and svae thier seeker at all cost. WIthout Rigby they would never be able to caught the snitch. Just as she was close to the bludger attacking Rigby, Herby appeared and Stephy watched her zoom off to her side and she quickly spotted another Bludger gaining on the two. Not another one Stephy thought as she let Herby deal with the first one she spotted. Stephy quickly changed her direction and headed stright towards the one now heading for Herby,

Stephy felt like she was playing the game chicken with the black ball as she watched it zoom right towards her. As she got closer to the ball she watched as it turned slightly to the right now going after the closer target, Stephy. She threw back her arm feeling the wind tug on it as the Bludger came ever closer heading right for her face. SHe knew that if she was to miss the ball she would probably wake up in the Hospital Wing

Stephy kept her concentartion on the black ball and time seamed to slow down as it came ever nearer. Stephy now started to throw back her arm getting ready for the windup. Her arm felt like lead as it slowly moved backwards and then forwards blocking the Bludger's path to her face. As she threw her arm upwards there was a huge crack that filled the air and time seamed to return back to normal. Looking up she saw the Bludger now flying stright up into the air. Withour even thinking, Stephy quickly returned her attention back to Herby and looked to see if she had saved Rigby.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Say what?!" Skie looked up in suprise to see that the quaffle had been thrown into play. "Darnit, that's what I get for zoning out all the time." Mentally slapping herself in the forehead, Skie zoomed after Dragon. As she whizzed by, Skie noticed that the two Ravenclaw beaters were slightly distracted by a bludger that had recently attempted an attack on Rigby. Glad that no one had been seriously hurt, but extremely happy that a distraction had been made, Skie flew on and met up with Dragon in the middle of the pitch. "YAY, DRAGON!" Skie called when she finally caught up. "And who knew you were so talented in languages either!" Skie joked.

((Hufflepuff Keeper))

Kate ran onto the pitch mortified that she had slept in.

It had all been fine, she woke up to the sound of her alarm, got dressed into her Quiditch robes and walked out onto the pitch - But then she realized the time. It turned out that one of her fellow dorm members had set the alarm 4 hours earlier than normal and the time was in fact 2am. So, now that she was wide awake, she had walked back up to her dorm to sit on her bed and wait for the others - only to fall back asleep with no alarm to wake her up.

So now that she had got there she felt so ashamed that she hid away from her fellow Huffllepuff team members and mounted her broom. She had been practicing and hoped that the practice would help.

As she flew into the air she felt an incredible rush and flew strait for the posts and sat in mid air watching the match.

"Hi Skie I'm Kate" She called to a fellow team mate.

((So so sorry I'm late, I came on yesterday but it had not started and then my computer crashed before I could check if it had started again! Sorry!))

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose flew back to where Skie was, noticing that Dragon had arrived. Oh, good Hevens, she thought happily.

"Ok, now that where here", Rose said with a grin, "Lets kick some Ravenclaw tailfeathers, Hufflepuff style."

(Hufflepuff Beater)

The field really was starting to fill up. The Hufflepuffs and the Ravenclaws, as if spurred into action by the release of the Quaffle, bludgers, and snitch, were pouring onto the field. Ginny smiled to herself, the nerves pushed out of her way by the adrenaline that was making itself known. She saw that she'd have her work cut out for her, due to the fact that she was out matched two-to-one by the Ravenclaw beaters. Like numbers ever stopped me!...Well, unless you count math...Haha...count...math...oh shoot! Bludger!

The current offending ball was speeding towards Rose. She flew over quickly. "Incoming, Rose!" Ginny pulled her arm back and swung hard, feeling a slight case of deju vu from back when she played softball. And like when she played softball, the ball seldom went where she wanted it to. She'd been aiming for Stephy, but instead it was headed towards Herby. At least I hit it towards a Ravenclaw she compromised, turning back around to dutifully continue circling the pitch.

((Hufflepuff Keeper))

"Good one Ginny!" Kate shouted from her place back at the hoops. Looking around there was still no sign of the quaffle anywhere near to the hoops. Phew. She thought.

"Where is that snitch then?" She wondered aloud.

(Hufflepuff reserved Seeker)

::Dani ran onto the pitch in mid yawn, she always over slept for no reason at all. She clambered onto her broom and kicked off from the ground. Her eyes raked the pitch for a sign of anything golden but all she could see was the tangle of coppers from the Ravenclaw cheering section. She flew around the pitch once and looked for the Ravenclaw seeker. Dani couldn't see her but that didn't mean she wasn't floating around somewhere.

She waved at the Hufflepuff teammates and the returned to searching the pitch. She could almost swear there was a glint of gold down by the ravenclaw goal posts. She raced towards it without hesitation.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

"Ay yai yai!"

Spacing out at any given point in the game isn't a good idea, especially when things just get going. Realizing she had drifted up into the light cloud cover above the pitch, Elana took advantage of her bird's eye view of what was going on before heading back down. It looked as though Hufflepuff had the Quaffle, as the Chasers were all speeding towards Ravenclaw's end of the pitch. And a few more players had arrived since she had zoned out, which was good, seeing as now they had nearly two full teams. Okay, Quaffle, gotta get the Quaffle. Let's go Regina! She dove down at an angle headed at the Ravenclaw goals, hoping to head them off. As she flew downwards, she tried to catch her Beaters attention. They would be awfully helpful with getting the Quafflie into safe hands...

(Hufflepuff Chaser)
"Hey Kate! Nice to meet you!" Skie called out to the new keeper. Losing her train of thought for a moment, Skie suddenly snapped her wayward conscious back onto the task in front of her. "No way Jose! Nobody but badgers are putting their paws anywhere near that quaffle if I have anything to do with it!" Skie noticed that Elana, the Ravenclaw chaser was a little bit too interested in cutting off Dragon before she got to the Ravenclaw goals. Flying closer to Dragon just in case Elana tried to push the quaffle out of her hands, Skie hovered beneath Dragon ready to catch the quaffle at all costs. "Um... can we get any help over here?" Skie squeaked hoping to see a beater or even better, a bludger.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Being a Beater makes you heavily intuned to certain things. Like when your teammates need you. So as she flew by, she heard Skie's plea, and without thinking, immediately turned her broom around and headed over towards her and Dani. Elana, I love you...but not on my watch.. she thought as her eyes narrowed in on the space that was not so nicely enclosing between the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff chasers. She flew up in between them and did a Badger Branded, an old confusion move of Ettas.

What "Badger Branded" involved was spinning sharply in front of Elana with her broom whipping towards the left so that a cloud of "badger smoke" was released from the tail. She turned to Skie. "That'll probably um, confuse her for a little while, so keep the Quaffle in play and I'll go try and find a bludger." she explained, turning on a dime to the right and flying off. SHe felt somewhat Seeker-esque as she tried to spot teh Bludger. Of course, the Seekers had it much worse, as bludgers tended to want to hit you but were found easier, but snitches were smaller and remained hidden.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

As she closed in on the Huffle Chasers, a golden robed figure sped in front of her, and was gone as soon as Elana had pulled up on her broom to stop so she wouldn't hit her. The Hufflepuff, who she thought might have been Ginny, had left behind a dense, dark cloud of something-or-other around her. Coughing, Elana waved her hands at the air around her, but nothing she did would clear it. Disoriented and confused, she tried to fly out of it, but it just wouldn't end! She decided to fly upwards, but when she looked up all she saw was darkness. Scowling, she flew up anyway, reasoning that it had to end at some point. And if it didn't...well, then she'd just have to change direction...

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta stumbled onto the pitch, attempting to mount her Beater's bat instead of her broom. Quickly realsing her mistake she threw her bat in the air, threw her broom forward, hopped onto the broom and caught the bat...on her head.

"Ouch!" she screamed and touched her now even more throbbing head. shaking her head slightly, and wiping sleep from her eyes, Etta waved at her team mates and began to search for a Bludger, she was in a bad mood already, and hurting herself made her temper worse. "Its clobbering time," she added to her bat as she kissed it lovingly.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim once again had dazed. Rastalin came onto the field and released the balls with sarcasm. Dragon had snatched up the Quaffle. Elana flew for it, but the Beater confused her.

Okay, so I know what everyone else is doing, but i am not doing what i should be, she thought. Kim flew towards her hoops hoping her and Elana *and Scrilla!* would get into this game and kick some badger. She stopped to straighten the poor, confused Elana and said " Rapido!! Lapudathe!! Andelae!! We gotta stop them!!" she said with her few Spanish words (even though i can barely spell them)

So Kim flew with all her might towards the Chasers.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Ginny had been casually enjoying the scenery-I mean, focusing intently on Quidditch! Go badgers! RAWR!-when she noticed that yet another of those pesky Ravenclaw chasers were encroaching upon their own. Honestly, would they never learn. Okay, so she'd only been "teaching" them for the match, but that was not the point at all. She begin flying back over in that direction, glad that at least Elana was still confused for the time being. And that Etta had joined the match.

"Woohoo! Hey Etta!" she called excitedly, waving her badger beater bat in a way that was sure to injure anyone that came within a five foot radius. Luckily, no one was in that radius, so the survivors were many. She continued on her way, but as she turned her head, nearly missed the bludger flying straight at her. "Gah! Badger hide!" she squeaked, flattening herself onto the broom and feeling it whisk just over her head. She sighed in relief, and then realized her stupidity.

She had a bat. That was a bludger. She had a chaser she needed to hit with said bludger. And now it was heading away from that Chaser. Grumbling, she flew off in the direction of the bludger.

(hufflepuff Ckaser)

Rose smiled at Ginny. "Thanks for the save!"

Then, she noticed Etta ariving on the field. Yes!!! Rose blew the hair out of her face, waving at the Hufflepuff Beater. "Etta, thank goodness your here!"

But before Rose could enjoy Etta's arivaly completly, she saw Kim flying towards her at full speed.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Glancing behind her, Dragon saw that Skie was now flying alongside her. "Hey, Skie." she called but then she suddenly noticed Kim, the Ravenclaw Chaser making a beeline towards them. "Gotta go." she muttered and urged her broom to fly faster while glancing at the Hufflepuff Beaters for help.

*(Ravie Chaser)*

Kim was glad to be making an early difference in the game. She gained upon the Chasers of the opposing team. She wondered how to get the ball. Should I just go in for it? Or maybe get a diversion, or get Elana.

She decided she should (for her first time ever) get the Beaters involved. She yelled to Herby and gestured to the Chasers, hoping Herby had an idea.

Kim suddenly heard and saw a Bludger hurtling towards her from her left. She got scared but did a Sloth-Grip-Roll. She sighed in relief as the ball raced on, like it hadn't intended to be aiming for her. She got a small hatred for the Beater, but opposed it realizing she had just asked one for help. Herby probably wouldn't like to be clumped together as a Beater, she thought.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Etta saw a bludger, with as much strength as she could muster, she pushed her broom forward and quickly gained speed on it.

As it came within striking distance, Etta noticed a bludger heading straight for Kim of Ravenclaw. An evil twisted and sick, yet ever so sweet smile graced Etta's lips as she swung her arm back and continued to swing it for 6 turns.

"Herrrreeeeee bludger, bludger, come to Ettie my lil bludger....I have a victim for you."

"Badger Bowl," giggled Etta as she released her arm and bat from the swing, cracking the bat into the side of the bludger and watched as the thud and crack sent the Bludger bouncing fast towards Kim.

((Hufflepuff Keeper))

"Good one Etta! Welldone!" Kate shouted in the direction of Etta. "Good hit!"

Kate watched as the match went on around her. No sign of a quaffle near her or the snitch. That was good on the first but bad on the latter.

(Hufflepuff Chaer)

Rose nodded Dragon off and watched as Kim came hurling towards them. She scanned the pitch, and saw what she was looking for. Etta, spinning in th air, hit the bludger hard, sending it after the Ravenclaw chaser.

Rose cheered at the nasty ball got colser and closer to Kim. Well, I hope she'll be alright, the Huflepuff Chaser thought blankly. Then, motioning towards Skie, she darted after Dragon, just in case.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"COMING!" Skie was glad that everything was picking up, what with the bludger racing towards Kim and all. "I wonder if Kim will be okay....?" Skie murmured under her breath as the bludger sped towards her. A little, itzy-bitzy part of Skie was worried about the Ravenclaw chaser, but it was a small part, easily pushed out by the bigger, more psychotic part that said "BADGERS RULE!".
"Oh, and I love beaters!" Skie shouted as she sped after Dragon and Rose. Whispering to Timothy about cleaning if he went faster, Skie reached where Dragon and Rose were flying towards the Ravenclaw goalposts. "Wonderful day for a little bit fun on the Quidditch field, isn't it?" Skie asked, happy to be up in the air. The wind rushing through your hair and the shot of adrenaline that kicked in when a bludger was about to hit you, or you scored a goal couldn't be beat.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby watched the play below, cringing inwardly as she saw Etta's bludger on a crash course towards her teammate. Knowing how that felt (dreadfully-wish-you-would-just-hurry-up-and-die pain), she shouted,

"Incoming, Kim!"

She just prayed that Etta wouldn't turn her attention towards her delicate bones. But she realized that was a prayer that had little more than zero chance of being answered so she instead turned her thoughts toward the snitch. Perhaps if she could make an early catch her entire team wouldn't have to have their after party in the injury ward where instead of butterbeer they would be drinking skele-gro.

She caught a glimspe of gold beneath her, directly in the Hufflepuff-Ravenclaw fray. Despite not being known for their bravery, Rigby was feeling even less like a clever and intelligent Ravencalw as she pointed her broomstick towards the snitch. One of these days she was going to have to invest in getting a stunt double...

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

...and then, miraculously, the dark cloud around her lifted. Breathing in the heavenly fresh air, Elana took a moment to get her bearings. How long had she been out? Hopefully not too long...

Pulling her broom around, she caught sight of a Bludger. Relieved that it wasn't aimed at her, she continued looking around until she saw where it was headed. Kim! "Look out, Kimber!" she shrieked, racing towards her teammate. She knew there was no way she could get there in time to knock her out of the way, but if Kim was hit she could help to stabalize her - or, in the close to worst case scenario, if Kim fell she would be right underneath to catch her. Urging her broom on, Elana kept her eyes on Kim, willing her to move out of the way. They only had so much time before it hit...

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose smiled back at Skie. "Oh, yes, quiet lovely." She herd some Ravemclaw fuss and turned her attention back to Kim and the bludger.

"Oh!" Rose stopped for a secound, watching to see what was going to happen. Kim might just be saved by her fellow teammate. But then, Rose felt a knawing in her stomeche as she saw the Ravenclaw Seeker dive for something.

"Oh, no, please don't be the Snitch!"

[Ravenclaw Chaser]

Don't panic.. don't panic

Priscilla hurried out of the Quidittch locker rooms, looking nervous and disheveled. It took her awhile to wake up for the game, she hadn't realised there was another game at all. She had forgotten about the last one, but she wasn't going to miss her first time. Hopefully, she'd be able to show off a bit of her skills.

She mounted her broom and was already in the air with the rest of her teammates. She clutched her broom handle tightly.

"look out, Kimber!"

Priscilla turned to see Elana heading straight for Kimmy, a bludger nearing.

(hufflepuf reserve seeker)

::Dani followed the snitch like a dog follows a butterfly, however Dani and the snitch were moving far faster than dog and butterfly couldever move. Dani heard a commotion coming from up abover but didn't spare the second to take her eyes off the snitch. She'd never played this postion before but she knew from the stories the other seekers would tell she knew she shouldn't take her eyes off the gold ball.

She'd forgotten the score between houses but reached forward anyway, her hand outstreached for the golden orb. When the trickly little ball did a double take and went back in the oppisite direction. Dani swore and turned tails and almost collided with the ravenclaw seeker who had also seen the ball! Laying flat on her broom Dani raced ahead the two girls both neck in neck leaning forward for the golden ball.

(Ravie Chaser)

Kim heard the cries too late. The Bludger zoomed towards her and this time she wasn't lucky. It hit her. "Owwwwww!!!!!!!" she cried. It had hit her ( for the first time) in the leg. Her right shin, to be exact. Hmm, I thought you only needed shin-guards for soccer, she thought through her intense pain. I knew they would come in handy in the wizarding world, and they are sitting in my closet right now...

Kim started to yell again but remembered her tough times during soccer games and thought this is nothing, and she dropped her pain instantly, but knowing there would be a bruise there.

She turned her focus elsewhere. Scrilla had joined them, and was there long enough to see her get pegged. Kim waved and then looked over at the Beater who had hit her. She gave her the nastiest look she could muster, out of pain and anger, mostly anger. She was furious now. Under her breath she whispered, "It's on!!" And Kim felt sorry for the girl. Now she was angry she wasn't a Beater.

Kim looked around and saw the Hufflepuff Chasers still in possesion. She was ticked. She located Elana and flew to her. "We need to get that ball, now!!" she said. "Simple plan, Beaters blast them, we steal ball. OKAY??"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon peeked behind her and saw that Kim's pain had seem to be gone in a flash. Suddenly worried of the glances she threw at her, Dragon darted forward towards the goal and breathed a sigh of relief since the Keeper was not guarding it. Grinning she threw and aimed the quaffle at the center hoop and watched it soar and spiral fastly towards the center of the hoop.

(Hufflpuff Beater)

:Etta did a happy dance on her broom as Kim shouted out with pain. The something caughter her attention.

"...Simple Plan..." Etta's head shot up like a cat smelling cat nip. She flew over to Kim and Elana and listened.

"So girlies, when does Simple Plan get here?" she asked sweetly. "Only i just want to make sure i have enough time to wash my hair, and blow dry it...and straighten it...and de-frizz it..."

Etta looked hopefully at the two but suddenly realised it wasnt the band Simple Plan they were talking about,but an actual plan.... Feeling increasingly disappointed Etta did the only thing she could think of doing which would make her feel an itsy bitsy bit better.

Spinning her broom round, Etta located a Bludger with her eyes and stalked it down to within striking distances. Keeping on its tail Etta quickly performed the Rotating Power Beat.

She turned three times around herself on her broom, like a discus thrower, before hitting the Bludger, adding a lot more power to the attack, Etta shook her almost dizzy head and cringed when she saw the Bludger was heading straight for Kate.

"Dang she gonna kill meeeeeeeee," squealed Etta a little to happily as she begna to cradle her bat like a newborn child.

((Hufflepuff Keeper))

Still no sign of the snitch. But was that good or bad? Kate wondered. She watched as a Hufflepuff chaser shot strait at the goal where there was no keeper. "Go on girl!" She screemed at the top of her lungs towards Dragon.

Kim was leary as Etta flew over. But she laughed because she embarrassed herself in front of her and Elala. Etta hit a Bludger at, her teammate?? What, i must be mized up, who'd she aim for? she asked herself, looking around.

Kim flew over to Herby. "Hey we need your help. Can you be a distraction??"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose whooped as Kim was hit by the bluder and Dragon tossed the quaffle to the middle hoop. At least Kim wasn't badly hurt, but she was distracted by pain for a monent, long enough for Dragon to atempt a goal.

Rose held her hand up in the air for a high-five from Skie.

"Hufflepuff for the WINNNNNNNN!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

After being dazed out for most of the game, Stephy was finally able to get her head into the game. Looking around the pitch she saw that Kate was in trouble. Stephy flattened herself on her broom and quickly gained speed but as she zoomed closer to Kate she saw that the Bludger was moving at very quickly. Stephy gripped her bat tighter as she flew right in front of Kate and watched as the Bludger gained distance towards the two of them.

Stephy quickly held up her bat ready to hit the black ball but as it came closer she was starting to dread the impact that it was going to have on her bat. Once the Bludger was several feet in front of her she threw back her arm and flung the bat forward with all the strength she could muster. She heard a loud crack fill the stadium and felt the vibrations travel up her arm but she watched as the Bludger flew off towards Rose but she noticed that it wasn't traveling at the same speed as when Etta had hit it. Looking at her bat she was that there was a large crack in it. "Shoot" Stephy said crying at the sad state that her bat was in. It was her first bat and now it had a huge crack in it
