Giant Wars Pt. 2

Grr awoke to hear the news that the old chief was just killed. He rubbed his greedy hands together ready for the fight to begin. He knew that as soon as the old leader is killed than the most strongest will become the next leader. He loved to fight and had been in many fights before. He had been fighting with other giants for years for this day to come. He was confident that he could win. Afterall he was 26 feet tall and was well known for his fighting.

Grr walked over to the middle of the giant place and looked around seeing who all he would be fighting against to win leader. He grinned a crooked grin seeing he was the first one there. Maybe, he thought, the others are too scareed to show thier faces. Maybe they know that i will kill them. He grunted and the noise filled the aread shaking the trees. he watched as a few needles fell to the ground landing in a pile at the base of the tree.\

Yculum awoke to shouts...could it be...the leader who ruled over them all, even he, was dead...?
He roused himself, and quickly began to run over the hill to the battle ground...for he had heard people muttering loudly that that is where the battle would indeed be held.
Yculum could not be seen as of yet...but could be heard and felt...for every time he took a step, the ground shook and the earth rumbled as though an earthquake was beginning. Also, could he heard, his terrifying, signature growl.

"OOoooOG... URG ARUNGA....IMO IMEDIAMA!" He snarled (which translated means, "Traitors... or fighters...you will die!")

Yculum appeared over the mountain. He stood 20 feet above the ground, enormous hands balled into tight fists.

When he saw Grr, he immediately looked questioning.

"Eeg Uo Meg Ima Looham Minstana Lak?" ("Are you he who I am to fight?")

Yculum did so, and aimed a punch, hitting Grr smack-bang in the middle of his face...in other words, his nose.

Yculum laughed a horrid laugh, and struck again, this time a blow to the stomach.

He waited for his opponent to make a move.

A growl ripped from Garry the Gut-Gnasher's throat as his slumber was interrupted. With a piteous moan, he pressed his large, liver-spotted hands to his ears, squishing them to the side of his head in an effort to mute the noises that showed no signs of ceasing.

With a great deal of effort, Guh rolled over onto his stomach. As he slammed back into the ground, there was a snap, and Guh pushed himself onto his hands and knees to see what it was he broke.

His misformed lips twisted into a toothless grin when he saw the bear. It was squashed and had matted fur covered in blood - the cave Guh had taken refuge in must have already been occupied.

Guh looked up when the noises that had broken his slumber raised in a cacophony of screeching, thudding and howling.

The bear forgotten, Guh reached for his trusty club Fasguiyr. The blood from the previous days' rioting was still bright on the spikes of his beloved Fasguiyr. It made him crave for more. Never let the blood go bad.

With an almighty heave, as though he were moving mountains, Guh got to his feet and lumbered from the cave. He could see a cloud of dust outside, just over the next rise. He could be there in a matter of minutes.

Another toothless grin on his lips, Guh set off.

Yculum roared with anger and pain as the fist made contact. Blood soaked the front of his now filthy smock, and pain seered through the new flesh and slight bone wound which now resided on the massive outer-face of his chest; a green-stick fracture (Where the bone is poking through the skin).

Yculum, while in pain and eager to fight on quickly, was reluctant to do any more damage at prescent, preferring to wait for the newcomer. Instead, he began to insult Grr.

"Uo eeg lek pooripsola!" ('You are a weakling') Yculum roared, running his bloody hand through his hair. He was rather a veing being, even in his present state of affairs, "Uo Lak oamph lek reprek!" ('You fight like a girl!')

He laughed evilly, stepping forth and trying to corner the other giant. As he did this, he beat on fist against his other hand, trying to toy with fear and emotion at sight.

As Guh got close enough to see what was happening, he started to swing Fasguiyr from side to side, knocking down large trees, big enough to crush a man-creature, and large segments of rock from the surrounding boulders. The debris rained down upon the lesser creatures stupid enough to be on the ground, generating a cloud of dust.

Guh had arrived.

He watched the two Giants suqaring it off, and snarled, his three teeth poking out of his mouth at odd angles. Fasguiyr was thrumming in his hand, demanding a fight.

One of the Giants turned to him and said, "Ookur fibbylo goo?"

Guh blinked his beady eyes.

"Ewww lolli dingo." He continued.

Guh wasn't sure what the Giant had said - he was speaking in a foreign dialect and Guh wasn't fluent in even his own tongue - but he understood body language, and the Giant was posing a challenge. And Guh had never yet backed down from a challenge.

He threw his head back and roared. The echo slipped past their mountains, and down further, where even the man-creatures heard it. Guh was glad - it was another way in which he was superior, after all.

He raised Fasguiyr and swung.

Yculum ducked the fist that was aiming for his head, and jumped Fasguiyr, whatever that was....but it clipped him stightly, making a small cut in his left ankle.

Yculum put the fingers up to Grr, and then Gah, and aimed at punch at Grr's chest with much force behind it.

"Menda kal laky!" (Fight back!) he yelled, "Timbora Hamra Kala!" (This has to be fair.)

He laughed, and aimed a kick at the new-comer (Gah)

Guh growled at the impudence of the giant who thought he was big enough to challenge the almighty Gut-Gnasher!

His beady eyes glinting with a wild kind of bloodlust, Guh swung Fasguiyr in a wide sweep over his head, and aimed for the giant's head.

The club made a deadly streak towards the giant, the spikes splitting the air with an ear-splitting whistle. Guh could smell blood on the wind, and he howled in delight for battle.

Yculum thought carefully about his next move as he got his breath back.

He scratched his dread-locked head as he thought

Yculum, feeling he should get involved, pounced on the two with a full blown body slam nmove with a roar.
