Subject: Falling Down Fri Apr 10 2009, 18:00

First topic message reminder :

Thierry sighed, sitting down on the rock outside. Her head was pounding from all the noise in the common rooms and she couldnt take it any longer. "Stupid...vampires..." She mumbled softly, throwing a rock into the lake. She watched it skip a few times before falling into the water.

James turned around, looking at her. "Evanna...I'm sorry." He whispered, bending down beside her. He hoped she wasnt mad at him. He knew he didnt mean to, it was an accident. He felt hate for himself all over again as he looked at her, hating the fear he felt coming from her.

Evanna didn't reply with words. She just turned to him and hugged him, glad she was alive. She started to cry into his chest. After a minute, when she got the fear and relief out of her system, she looked up at James and said, "It's okay. We should go now, before someone comes in." She looked around and saw a pictureframe had fallen off the wall when they smashed into it, and their was a hole in the wall where James had punched.

James held her as she cried, feeling like it was all his fault, which it most likely was. When she pulled back, he wiped her tears away, kissing her softly. "Come on, Bird." he said softly, grabbing ahold of her hand softly with his.

Ev smiled, glad to know nothing changed. SHe wiped the remaining blood on her shirt and picked up her books and the paper she had and grabbed James's hand tenderly and led him out the door.

James stated to mental beat himself. All he wanted to do was be dead, yet he knew killing himself wouldnt help Evanna as much as it would help him. He sighed, bring her hand to his mouth to kiss her softly, still thinking over how to tell her sorry.

Evanna dragged James along towards the library when she suddenly stopped. She turned to James and said, "You know, I don't think the library sounds so inviting anymore...what do you think?" She looked up at him and saw a tortured look in his eyes and said, "Oh, honey..." She dropped her books again and she wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him tight. SHe ran her fingers down his back and tried to comfort him now.

James wrapped his arms around her softly, shaking his head. "I could have killed you." He whispered into her hair, holding her close.

James just held her to him, afraid if he let go she would leave him. "I'm sorry." he said again, wishing he could cry. Being a vampire didnt help with emotions he wanted to let out.

Evanna was very understanding, "It's okay. I know how bad you feel, I can see it in your eyes without your words." She just kept her arms around James and tried to comfort him.

James nodded, picking her up in his arms. "I'm afraid if I let go, you will run from me.." he whispered to her, holding her as close as he could without hurting her.

"Then don't ever let me go," Evanna whispered to him. She looked up at him and kissed him softly once as she too tightened her grip. She wished they were back in his bed again...she saw someone turn a corner in the corridor and head their way. She sighed irritatedly Is a little peace too much to ask? she thought.

"I wont." James whispered in her ear, kissing her hair and wherever else he could kiss her at. He didnt do anything as someone else headed their way, he just kept his grip on Evanna.

Ev was glad with their closeness right now. The pain that James felt was nearly tangible in the air. SHe felt like crying for him because he couldn't. She was torn between many emotions. In all reality a very, very small part of her was terrified all the time when she was around James, but it was a thrill for her. It was like a high for her to be around such danger all the time. She wasn't afraid of the thought of him being a sort of monster or beast, that had never even crossed her mind, she'd always been intruiged my him, fascinated. But now she only felt his pain, his suffering, of constantly being a danger. She hugged him tighter. She looked up at him and kissed him softly on the lips as a tear fell down her cheek.

"Dont cry..." James whispered, wiping her eyes softly. He kissed her softly before leaning his head on hers. "I'm still sorry." He whispered, wrapping his fingers into her hair softly.

Evanna said, "It's not for me, it's for you. I'm sorry that I made you do that, I should have paid more attention to what I was doing. Lets get out of the public eye, hon." SHe didn't want to move, but soon enough a professor was bound to come along...she knew James would read that thought though.

James sighed, letting her lead the way to where they needed to go. "My common room or yours?" He asked her softly, running a hand threw his hair.

"Umm...well, I was actually thinking somewhere like the forest again...you know, it's so quiet out there, nobody would ever inturrupt us..."Evanna said after thinking for a minute. SHe unwillingly let go of James to bend to pick up the books that were scattered on the floor.

Evanna walked slower this time to their new destination. She softly grabbed James's hand and held some of the books in her good arm while her left arm was free. She was glad, she could feel it throbbing. It maybe could have used a band-aid, probably even stitches, but at the moment of the incident, it wasn't really a priority she guessed...She tried not to think about it, It'll heal up eventually, I'll be fine she thought. She suddenly started to focus really hard on her walk and destination, so her thoughts weren't on her arm...and it wasn't only for HER sake she wasn't thinking about it.

Evanna didn't reply, she just started thinking about the first time they met and everything since then. She released her hold on James's waist and held his hand. She looked up at him as they walked, with no direct destination, and said, "I love you, you know that, right?"

Evanna shook her head inpatiently trying to rid all the hair from around her face. "Well, that's nice, I'm glad I gave your life purpose. I think that if I didn't meet you I'd probably meet some other guy and think I was happy...But then I'd never know how much more happy you make me...So you give me purpose too." Evanna said, all smiles. She scoped out the grounds for somewhere quiet and peaceful where they could be alone. She squinted as she thought she saw a lone tree on the far side of the lake. She groaned, it was a far walk. But she instantly decided it didn't matter, she got to be with James the whole walk...

James smiled softly at her, picking her up. "I think a run would be nice." He told her. And he started running as slow as he could, which would still be fast to her. In seconds, they were at the lake and he set her down.

Evanna's heart raced as she seemingly flew to the other side of the lake. WHen james set her down her hair was windswept. She grinned hugely and leapt into James arms in a bear hug. She kissed his neck, letting ler lips linger, "That was...amazing," she said.

James just laughed, moving his head back a bit. "I was running slow love." he said, running his hand over her hair. "That was no where near fast." He said.

Evanna's eyes widened, "Really?" she asked astonished. "Can we go run then? I wanna go fast!" she said. She loved speed. Well she loved extreme things like speed, strength, height...that's why she was a rollercoaster junkee, she couldn't get enough of the crazyness, especially the speed. Maybe thta was part of hte reason she wa fascinated my James, he was like the ultimate rollercoaster. SHe snorted at that thought, it would have sounded wrong if she said it out loud. Thinking about speed made her think of what she did in the summers with her family. They would travel to America and go to their old town, just to go riding in the desert. They had crazy new rides each summer, something faster, something that could climb hills more smoothly....she thought about how fun it was...

Evanna sat down next to him and sighed. She looked at James, "Tired? I thought vampires never got tired?" she asked. SHe shrugged her shoulders, it didn't matter anyways. If they were running, she couldn't kiss him, she thought...

"Ooh.." Evanna said with understanding. "So, you get mentally tired, you mean?" Ev said. She hugged him and said, "What's on your mind, love?" As she spoke she stroked his cheek, then kissed the same spot. She looked at him for an answer.

Evanna sighed and placed her head on James's chest. SHe marveled over the silence and chill coming off of his skin. She didn't know what to tell him about the danger part...she wished she did, so she could comfort him. She wondered if having contact with him didn't help the danger...

Evanna gasped. So that's why vampires weren't so well known...She looked at James and whispered, "Okay." She held onto him tighter as if she was gonna loose him.

Ev laughed a small laugh as she closed her slowly. She wrapped her arms around James's waist and hugged him as she laid down. Hugging him was so comfortable, despite his freezing and rock solid body. SHe wondered how her skin felt to him...probably like a marshmallow, she thought

"Running threw the forest hunt..." James said softly. "And you're right...you cant be my only sorce of food...I could kill you..." He said, trailing off. He didnt want to tell her about everything and he stood up, setting her down on the ground.

Evanna sighed helplessly. "Okay," she said. She got up and wiped the dirt off her pants. She thought about going to the library, which she still hadn't done. She looked at James and said, "Well, that's fine. I think I'll go to the library, okay? I still haven't returned those books...which are...where?" she asked herself. SHe thought back and remembered why she didn't have them. Squinting across the lake she saw them lying in a heap from when James unexpectedly gave her a piggyback ride.

Evanna laughed and said, "Sorry. And, you'll know where to find me." She kissed him on the cheek and siad, "Have fun" as she walked away from him. SHe started humming as she made her was around the lake towards the pile of books. She picked them up and headed towards the school. Random thoughts ran through her mind, I wonder where he goes to hunt? Surely not on campus...I'll have to ask him..

She bounded up the steps to the school and walked down teh long hallways to the library. She stopped as she passed the Great Hall and could smell food. SHe decided to go and eat. After a quick dinner she went to her dorm and took a shower and brushed her teeth, too. After she had handled a few human things, she made her way back down the stairs to the library. She probably had only wasted an hour, if that, she thought.

When she got to the library she returned the books, after a scolding on how they were late, and she was neglecting her duty as a good student. SHe made her way to a corner in the library, with a pile of books that she needed for various reports she had to write up for school. She ended up with a transfiguration book, two potions books, and an astronomy book. SHe checked her list for any other books she needed and sighed in relief when she realized she had them all. She sat down by a window, in a far corner of the library, and picked up the transfiguration book. SHe glanced outside the window once before opening her book, and saw that it was dark. SHe turned her attention to the book she had and sat back in her big comfortable chair and tried to read.
