Subject: Falling Down Fri Apr 10 2009, 18:00

First topic message reminder :

Thierry sighed, sitting down on the rock outside. Her head was pounding from all the noise in the common rooms and she couldnt take it any longer. "Stupid...vampires..." She mumbled softly, throwing a rock into the lake. She watched it skip a few times before falling into the water.

James felt pain in his chest and stopped, looking back at her. He wanted to go to her and hold her, kissing her, and make the hurt he felt go away, but another part of him was screaming to get away, to protect himself for the moment and he sighed, leaning on the wall.

Evanna sat on the ground as the thunder rolled in with her arms around her legs. SHe put her head down and thought. Was it me that made him go away? Maybe it was something else that's been bothering him and now he's suddenly decided to act upon it and react to it...She hoped it was the second question, but guessed probably not. SHe wondered what to do now....she had been with James only for like a week straight...SHe just sat down with her arms around her as it started to sprinkle lightly.

James sighed, turning to look at her again. He shook his head and turned around, running into Thierry. "Aww...poor baby..." She said softly, running her hands up his chest. James glared at her, shaking his head.

Evanna sat in the rain thinking about everything that had happened over the past week. It was hard to believe it was only a week...Heaven seemed so much longer in her eyes, because being with James had been like heaven...that might have had something to do with him being the angel..even though he didn't think so...

James pushed Theirry from him, but she just smirked. "Just give in..." She hissed softly, cutting her neck with her cat like nails. He froze, her blood filling his senses. No matter how hard he tried to deny it, he felt himself pulling her to him.

Evanna wondered where James was, and if he was feeling bad like her. He hoped not, because he obviously didn't do anything wrong, she was the one who had said something. I should have just kept my mouth shut about Thierry. I was mad at her already, so I was talking out of anger...Ev sighed hopelessly. SHe looked up towards the castle, wondering again where James was, and saw him. RIght there...with Thierry. Evanna felt hurt. He left her, and was with Thierry. I thought he hated her... she thought sadly. That's when she started crying. SHe was confused. SHe sat in the rain, with her legs curled up to her crying.

James bit down on her neck and he heard Thierry moaned softly, pulling him closer. He wanted to move, but the blood was addictive. He had heard from others her blood was almost, if so, the best blood around so far. And he would have to agree. But it wasnt the sweet tangy taste of Evanna and he felt himself snap out of it. He growled softly, pushing Thierry away.

Evanna wondered if she should go. SHe put the towel over her to keep her semi-dry. SHe didn't want to go back up to the castle and have to pass James...

James licked the remaning blood from his lips and looked towards where Evanna was. He felt his throat close up and he sighed, walking back to Thierry. "Come on.." He mumbled, gripping her arms tightly.

Evanna decided to go inside. SHe stood up and grabbed her soaking dress off the ground. SHe ran up to the castle with the towel over her head and into the main hall. There she tried to dry off as best as possible, even though her towel was soaked along with her dress. SHe groaned and not wanting to walk through the castle in only her baithing suit threw her wet dress back on and quickly climbed the stairs towards her dormitory.

When James got to the common room, he threw Thierry on the couch and walked out. He could hear her mumbling things, but he didnt care. He wanted to find Evanna and that was the only thing on his mind.

Evanna opened the door to her dorm room and threw her wet towel and dress on the floor. SHe went over to her bed and bundled up under the sheets, wearing her baithing suit. SHe knew she should get some warmer clothes on, but she wanted to stay under the blanket right now. SHe was shivering, and angrily she hoped she wouldn't get sick. SHe never got sick from being out in the rain...Of all the days...she thought. Her thoughts shifted back to James and wondered where he was, and if he was still with Thierry. SHe closed her eyes, mad at herself and hurt by him.

James walked to the Ravenclaw Common Room, banging on the door. "HEY ONE OF YOU NERDS COME OUT HERE!" He yelled, trying to get someones attention.

Evanna heard a loud banging but ignored it, letting someone else worry about it. SHe wrapped the blankets aroud her tighter and wished she would stop thinking for a few minutes to give her peace. But, before she realized it tears were streaming down her face once again. SHe wished that would stop happening...

"Dammit, one of you ravie freaks open the dam door!" he yelled, banging on it once agian. When no one came, he growled, punching the wall. He felt a cut on his hand but he didnt care. He just wanted to get to Evanna. But he realized no one cared what he wanted and he turned door the hall, his face cold and hard.

Evanna groaned when nobody stopped the banging. SHe unwillingly rolled out of her bed. She grabbed the blanket off her bed, still in her baithing suit, and wrapped it araound her and went to see what the banging was. SHe opened the door to the common room and yelled, "Stop banging!" SHe saw James and the expression on her face changed. SHe didnt' knwo how to react, so she just stood there with the door open.

Evanna looked at James and didn't say anything. SHe could see he was angry, probably at her...she was angry at herself too. But he also looked like hurt. She wanted to jump into his arms, but she was hurt too. She didn't know what to do, she was torn between actions and emotions...

James swallowed the lump in his throat and took another step towards her. "I'm sorry, Bird..." he whispered to her softly. "I..nothing I can say can make it right." He told her, pushing his hair from his face.

Evanna looked at him and said, "I should be apologizing. What I said was uncalled for. I was talking out of anger, and I was being rude. I'm sorry for saying what I did about Thierry. I know she's your friend, maybe she was once more than that, I don't know..." Evanna's voice trailed off, she lost her train of thought when she saw James's face.

James grabbed her arm softly, pulling her towards him. "No...we were never anything..." He said to her, kissing her forehead softly.

Evanna looked up at him and said, "Okay, so what about today?" Her memory flashed back to seeing them together. She couldn't see what they were doing, but could tell it was them, and they were alone and close to each other. She tried not to be jelous, even now, when she could wrap her arms around him, and him only.

James looked down at her. "She cut her neck." was all he said before turning around. He didnt want to fight nor did he want to aruge and defend himself if she couldnt believe him.

Evanna didn't believe him, but let it go. She didn't want to waste time arguing with him. She grabbed his hand and pulled him into the common room. She said, "I think I'm getting sick, I need to get dressed, I'm freezing." She opened the blankets to show him she was wearing her baithing suit still. She was being cordial, she didn't want to argue, she missed him even though he wasn't gone very long. She headed up to her dorm to put some decent clothes on.

James growled softly, looking at her. He could feel she didnt believe him and he couldnt stand it. What was love if there wasnt trust? Sure he had sucked her neck, but he wasnt lying, Thierry had cut her neck to make him do so. Sighing, he followed after her.

Evanna threw her blanket on her bed and said, "Don't look." as she pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. She thought about what she should do. Maybe I should believe him...I want to anyways...It's just because I'm mad, I think. She pulled the clothes on and pulled a brush through her hair, still thinking on it.

James sighed, turnign around. He pulled out a carving night he had in his pocket and made a small cut on his wrist. When he turned around, she was dressed and he walked over to her. "Drink." He said, holding her wrist up for him.

Evanna looked at him and said, "W-why?" She was confused and looked at him wondering if he could sense her weakness.

"Just drink it." He hissed softly, placing it on her lips. He couldnt afford her getting sick right now and he knew his blood in her system would help her a bit.

Evanna agreed, nervous to how the blood would taste. She obeyed him, trying not to think of what she was doing, while still remembering why. To her great surprise, the blood tasted good. She could feel stronger almost instantly, and removed her lips from his wrist. She looked at him and said, "I'm sorry. I believe you, James." She pulled him near her, needing to feel his comforting arms around her.

James felt cold, but wrapped his arm around her. He felt the wound heal on his wrist and he leaned his head on hers, sighing.

Evanna started to protest but realized he was right, even if she did feel stronger, she shouldn't test it too quickly. She smirked and skipped over towards her bed and then looked at James. She stopped for a minute and then went over to him and pulled him with her to the bed. "C'mon," she said.

Okay, I'll take a shower, maybe go get something to eat...but I think I have some food stashed around here somewhere....And then I'll crawl in bed and maybe read and listen to some music...

James nodded, but said nothing. He walked down the stairs, almost forgetting he had to run to do so. He walked outside, sitting down under a tree as the rain started picking up.

Evanna sighed as James left her. She grabbed her towel and headed towards the restroom, she wanted to be in her comfortable bed already. She hopped out of the shower feeling better. She felt clean, physically, but mentally too. Showers always helped her relax, and her most random thoughts happened there too. She went back to her dorm and dressed in a pair of basketball shorts and a tank-top. After she dried her hair and tidied up her area in the room she went over to the chest in front of her bed. While she rummaged around for some food she wondered why she never saw her dorm-mates anymore. Maybe rumors are spreading around about me and James. Or worse, what if rumors are spreading about James, ones that are true. She hoped that nobody would do something like that. She whipped out a bag of gummy bears, one of her favorite candies, and found a bottle of water. She went over to her bed satisfied. She turned on her radio/alarm clock and listened to some tunes as she relaxed on her bed. Evanna was laying on her stomach with her ankles crossed and her elbows propped up to support her and ate her candy as she hummed the song.

James watched the dear in the corner of his eyes. His throat was swelling at the taste that was to come with it and he sprang at it, tackling it to the ground, ingoring the small paniced screams that came from it. It tore his heart to think that it could have been Evanna, small and defenseless. When he bit on it's neck, he prayed a soft pray of forgiveness as he drank his filling. Just has he was about to move, something struck him over the head, causing him to black out for a few minutes.

Evanna wondered where James was right now, hunting, but where? She rolled off her bed and started cleaning up stuff. She cleaned off her dresser and threw the candy wrapper away. She started singing the song on her magical radio.

James didnt get to say anything else because someone threw a dagger at him and it hit him in the shoulder. He screamed out in pain, closing his eyes.

Evanna closed and listened to the lyrics of the song. She wondered what was taking James so long. She hoped he was okay. But, what could hurt a vampire? she asked herself incredulously. She gasped, another vampire she answered herself. She hopened her eyes in horror. She bit her lip to keep herself from screaming. "Look, you're just parranoid. Maybe he just went a little further to hunt, or maybe he was a little more hungry. Maybe he's just chilling..." she whispered to herself. She took deep breaths and calmed down, trying to lower her heart rate. She felt like something was wrong, but she was a girl, and therefore a worrier. She didn't want to overreact to something that didn't happen, and probably wouldn't happen.

James stood up shakingly, feeling his blood warmyl against his hand. He started walking towards the castle before he was hit again. He fell foward, feeling like his skull was on fire.

She moved over to the window and looked out, scanning the forest edges. She obviously didn't see anything, worth a shot.. she thought.

Evanna finally makes the decision that she is parranoid and needs to calm down, despite the feeling in her stomach. She picks up a book and tried to read, but can't concentrate. She wants to be sure that James is okay, but thinks going to look for him could be disastrous...

After a few minutes, whatever was messing with him growled before jumping on him, clamping down on his neck. James tried to scream, but couldnt, his throat raw from screaming earlier. After a while, it left and James laid on the ground, breathing heavily before passing out.

Evanna wonders how big of a mistake it would be to go find someone like Thierry to help her. Or if she went down to the Slytherin Common Room...she wasn't sure what any of them could do that she couldn't. Evanna sat down on her bed and thought about what to do, when she fell asleep suddenly, in dreams, well nightmares, of James getting hurt.
