Since I know you have already read it, I will say where in Blood of the Fold I am, and you can tell me if your spoiler is safe! And Melly, no more reading spoilers, bad girl!!! XD - Spoiler:
Richard just got to where the queen who needed his help was. He hasn't gone in yet, the weird metallicy sliffy thing just dropped him off and Merissa is there. And some Mriswith.

| Silly Katie!! *huggles* Yeah, the whole Sisters of the Light Organization as a whole, really does have good intentions, and I think that if they all were like Ann and Verna, they could do a lot of good. But it's hard to keep things like that honest forever. If they would stop with the collars, they would be better. It does bother me sometimes when they get super manipulative, but so do the wizards. I'm getting kinda used to everyone in this series using each other. It also bothers me that a character will understand that he might have to use people sometimes (Zedd), but isn't understanding when they themselves get used by other people. And I still continually want to punch Richard. He is a big moron sometimes (most times). He's a good guy though. I think if we ever did a Sword of Truth survivor, I would have to keep taking points from him. That would be very cathartic. | |

| I agree completley. The collar thing really does have to stop. And you have a point, the wizards become very manipulative too. When it comes to the prophecies everyone just goes crazy. You'd think they'd realize that they get manipulated too seeing as how often they try to manipulate each other...guess not though. xD Aww, hahaha, I love Richard (most of the time) desite his sometimes annoying behavior. Maybe it's because in the TV show he was just so insanely likeable that it's carrying over to the books. I've gotta say though...sometimes when he goes into his "Lord Rahl" mode I wanna talk some sense into him.... | |

| I need to see the show, maybe I will like him more. Don't know when that will happen though, cause I haven't had the money to start up my Netflix again.
I like Zedd more than Richard most of the time. Zedd is super aggravating too, but more likable. I want to see the show so that I will like Richard more. I know that the guy that plays him is super good looking. I've seen his pictures.
On a side note, so far I really like Warren. He is so sweet. I just hope he doesn't turn out bad.
I have only a couple chapters left in the book, and my new box set hasn't come yet! I don't want to finish the book without being able to start the new one, but I really want to keep reading!!!!

| I'm getting rather jaded with the books... there's far too much talking and getting to places, they journey takes a million words when it would be more exciting in several hundred thousand less, perhaps.
Kinda sad to say it, but it's how I feel D:

| Things moved faster in Blood of the Fold than in the other two. Because I will agree, sometimes it took too long. I had a hard time getting through parts of the first one because of that. But they seem to be moving a little quicker now. Either that, or the dialog is getting better. I think it's a little of both.
I just finished Blood of the Fold. I really hope the next one comes in the mail tomorrow or I will be sad with no book to read at work.

I think they might have put them up on Hulu now because they're trying to see if fan interest is enough to start the show up for a third season...so you might be able to find it there. But I've gotta say I've been thinking the same thing. Sometimes I find myself skimming over sections when it's just drawn out descriptions. *ooops* But really, some of these adventures could've been done in wayyyy less words. And yet, they're still incredibly addicting! O.o

| I've never tried Hulu. But currently my computer and my router are having a battle. If I try to play video on my computer, my router shuts off my internet for about a minute. I have looked into it, and it is just some glitch between macs and some routers that I can't do anything about. Hopefully the next OS update fixes it so I can watch stuff on Hulu.
I have only really had any time to read either a bit at work, or while I am on the stationary bike at the gym, so things are taking forever to read. And I think my books did get here early, but the post office in this tiny town is only open for about an hour on Saturdays, and instead of leaving the package in one of the bigger PO boxes and leaving the key for it in mine, they left me a note saying to pick it up at the window. Well, the window isn't open until Monday, so I have to wait. So I have no book to read for a couple more days. Boo.

I about 200 pages in to Faith of the Fallen and I've gotta say, I'm a little disappointed so far. It's seems really slow and the plot isn't really proving to be interesting to me so far...a pity really since the things nearly 800 pages long... >.<

That stinks that Faith of the Fallen isn't good yet! The cover looked interesting enough, but I guess I don't really trust covers. Some of the dullest books have some of the coolest covers.

| I've had a lot of spare time because of a whole bunch of snowdays one after the other. Hahha. And I must take it back. I actually ended up really enjoying Faith of the Fallen. I just finished it and though it was a little slow for me at first, it got much better as it went on and I have to say, I loved the ending. I'm glad that it managed to turn itself around cause I would have been very disappointed if I'd finished it and not liked it.... Unfortunatley, I'm now stuck without the next book because my Amazon order hasn't come in yet.... | |

Raina's death was the saddest thing ever. Especially since she dies with the little chipmunks. And with Ulic and Egan crying for her. I feel so bad for Berdine right now. I think that reading that chapter was the hardest time I have had trying to hold back tears from a book in a long while.

| Ahh, I know! So very intense! So I just finished Naked Empire, and in my edition it has a list of all the books in the series and puts Debt of Bones as next in the series. I was veryyyy confused when I saw how short it is compared to the others so I looked it up and it turns out it's the prequal to WFR? So I guess that list must be organized by publication date. Anywayyy, now I've figured out that Chainfire is actually the ninth book in the series so it's all good.
But way to confuse me publishers! *shakes fist*

| I didn't know there was a prequel. I will have to buy it. I just started Faith of the Fallen today. I love Cara. She might be my favorite character. I found Soul of the Fire a tad hard to get through because I really didn't care that much about Anderith. I think he spent way too much time talking about it. He could have at least edited a lot out. I mostly wanted to punch a lot of people in the face in that book. | |

I felt very uplifted and hopeful by the ending. I was glad it went out on a high note. And I was really hoping Kahlan was going to get to see Richard's statue before it enivitably got ruined. So that was happy. I was also really hoping Nicci would switch sides. I liked her the whole series so I was really happy with her at the end. She was kinda like Darth Vadar. Not really a bad person in their hearts, just circumstantially made to be so you still root for them to be good again. So, except for Warren, pretty good book.

| I started Pillars of Creation today, and I have noticed that any time the main story isn't about Richard, Kahlan, Cara, Zedd or any of the other people close to them, I am not as interested. I know that it is important to set up new characters that will be important to the main storyline, but Goodkind isn't always good at doing it succinctly. He goes on and on and on when it isn't necessary. And then I feel the need to put the book down and take a break every once in a while, which isn't normal for me. His books are the only books I have had to do this with (unless the book just totally sucked). It is feeling like the other book when he spent too much time in Anderith. If he needs to tell you so much about new characters like this, then he really needs to break it up with chapters that involve characters we already know. He could be telling us what Kahlan and Cara and everyone are doing while he introduces these other Darken Rahl children to break up the monotony. | |

| Mmm, yes, I must say I was slightly disappointed in this book because of it's lack of the Richard perspective...I got more into it as the story continued but I still didn't like it anywhere near as much as some of the others. You're right, it's like the Anderith again; he tends to drone on about things that really aren't necessary. And I agree that he could've added some Cara/Richard/Kahlan in the book as well to make it more closely related to the ones we've read so far. | |

As soon as Nathan gave Friedrich the book to give to Richard the book was really good. I am glad that Jennsen finally realized what was going on, cause she and Richard seem like twins. They are so much alike. Down to the way she checks her knife in its sheath. At least it seems like Richard finally got the sibling he wanted. And I like Tom. And Betty. Goats are cute. It didn't feel like a story that needed a whole book to be told. I feel like he could have shortened the story and added it to another book. It kinda felt like a waste.

It's alright, I am about halfway through. I have started skimming every time he starts talking about it. But I still love Cara, and Kahlan, and Richard is still hot XD
And I feel really bad for Zedd right now, cause he is currently being kept prisoner by the emperor and having to listen to kids being tortured, while their parents plead with him to make it stop. That sucks. I like Zedd. Poor guy.

| Please tell me there is more action in the rest of the series after Naked Empire. There is tooooooo muuuuuuch lecturing in this one. It is driving me batty. I am almost done though. I really like the story and the characters for this series, but Terry Goodkind can get soooooooooooooooo long winded. >.< | |

| Hahahah, I knowww! I was considering re-reading the series a while back but then I decided I wasn't in the mood to be lectured. Umm...I would say there's still quite a bit of lecturing in the later books but there's also quite a bit of action that pops up too (especially in the last...err...two books? I think? There's so many of them I can't keep them straight).
Seriously though, Goodkind needs to learn to get to the point and not repeat himself CONSTANTLY.

| Of course not, because that would be too much to the point for him. | |

| Naked Empire - Spoiler:
Okay, so pretty long winded until Chase and Rachel and everyone showed up to free Zedd and Adie from Jagang. From that point on, the book was awesome... it's just too bad that wasn't until the last couple hundred pages >.<
I also wonder how on earth Richard didn't realize sooner that Betty was the one Nicholas was using to spy on them... he knew Nicholas used animals, and they were traveling with one... DUH!!!! XD
I will have to look for the next book in the series this week... but I am going to bring Game of Thrones with me on the trip.
