Welcome to HE's Top Photographer's first round! For this round participants were asked to take a picture of anything that has something to do with “Wu Xing” or also known as the Five Elements of Nature.

Least Favorite:
Every first choice will get 500 points, 2nd will get 250 and 3rd will get 100 points, while every least favorite will get a deduction of 50 points.
Questions that could help you determine which is best to vote for:
- Is what you see first the subject?
- Does the subject holds your eye the longest?
- Do other elements in the image compete with the subject for attention?
- Is the image composed well? (i.e. frame is filled, photo elements are organized, bacjground is controlled, etc.)
- Does the lighting enhance the subject?
- Is the approach creative?

Note:
1. The automatic 10-point-deduction for participants who would be failing to submit entries for round has been lifted, and will be given instead to participants who will fail to vote.
2. All participants who have submitted were granted 50 points automatically.
3. Members who will vote, both participating and non-participanting, will be granted 25 points.
4. MEMBERS CANNOT VOTE FOR THEIR OWN ENTRY.

1st choice: image 5, gorgeous take of water!
2nd choice: image 2, one can rarely go wrong with fire
3rd choice: image 1, it's okay XD a bit predictable XD
Least Favorite: image 6, what is that? a cabbage? im telling ya, it's giving me the creeps! and i first tought of it more of earth than water tbh

1st choice: Image 3, It's so pretty ^.^
2nd choice: Image 6, I like it because it's a bit abstract
3rd choice: Image 2, It's kinda just there but still catches my eye.
Least Favorite: Image 7, I don't really think it fits the requirements. It's a nice picture, it's just... it doesn't seem to fit with the others.

1st choice: Image 5! Incredible shot that's ridiculously gorgeous. Really nice job!
2nd choice: Image 4: I actually really like this one, it keeps catching my eye. It's so peacefull and has lots to look at but isn't too chaotic either.
3rd choice: Image 1: Even though it's a bit predictable, like Rai said, I really like this one. The choice of cropping was really well done and I love the reflection of the trees on the water.

Least Favorite: Image 7: Not because it's not a good shot, I actually really like it, I just think the others stand out more in this round. Still a very nice shot though.

1st choice: Image 6, It has the potential to be a very good portrayal of water, and is fun to look at. Next time, I would say to try and use your macro lens even more and get closer to one of the water droplets.

2nd choice: Image 3, A fun spin on fire, and I do always enjoy taking fireworks/sparklers pictures. Especially if you try and draw something with the sparkler (fun idea for next time).

3rd choice: Image 1, It's okay, but it is very calming. I just wish the cropping was a little different.

Least Favorite: Image 7, It's not a terrible shot, but I don't really like that it looks like the flash was used. The focal point of the image is too far away for that. It's a little too busy for this theme. I do really want to go to wherever this picture was taken though.
