You Know You are Obsessed with Harry Potter/HE when...

First topic message reminder :

Hey there, it's your RDE(Resident Death Eater) with a new fun game for us all to play!
(I've seen different variations of the You know you on other sites about other topics)

The rules are you have to put something related to Harry Potter/and or the HE in this game. You come up with stuff like you tell everyone basically about how to spot HP obsessed people and how you can tell when someone has been too obsessed haha.


It's called 'You Know You Are Obsessed With HP When... (YKYAOWHP)-

Some examples--

YKYAOWHP when you wake up in the middle of the night rubbing your forehead thinking it is burning

YKYAOWHP when you shout 'Expecto patronum' at you own shadow

YKYAOWHP when you hear popping and think it's someone apparating.

YKYAOWHP when you call 'Gandalf' Dumbledore while watching Lord of the Rings

YKYAOWHP(HE) when you see purple Hippos in your dreams

YKYAOWHP(HE) when you first jump online and go straight to the HE site (I do this haha)

When Your mom hears the doorbell from the computer and awnsers the front dorr then yells at you to start using the headphones

The only reason you dont throw a fit when your being forced to move to Florida is cause people from HE live there!

When you make a bet with your boss about how cool HP is (i have to get him convinced or else i have to go on a date with him >.<)

When your bf tries to trick you away from the computer and you threat him with a break up if he doesn't leave you alone

When your MOM tries to buy you away from the computer O.O

You go around shouting lumos (light switch), Incendio (someone lights a fire), and Alohomora (unlocking a door)

You have read Quidditch Through the Ages and consider yourself an honorary Quidditch player

You play a sport (like volleyball or softball...)you imagine yourself playing Quidditch!

You call the volleyball a quaffle in gym :D

You go into forests looking for unicorns.

You call Ridikulus & laugh a lot when you open you closets in case of a boggart

You enjoy staring at the moon and howling.

You take an airplane trip, you are constantly staring out the window, looking for Mr. Weasley's car or Charlie's dragons. (OKAY WHEN I FLEW TO SC I SWEAR THIS ONE CLOUD HAD THE FORD ANGLIA BEHIND IT!!!)

You have Harry Potter soap, shampoo, and bubble bath

Harry Potter is all you ever draw in class when you're bored.

You imagine what your plant science classes would be like with Prof. Sprout.

You imagine that your chemistry teacher is Snape.

You've seen the movie 15 times and can pick out every ibbly bibbly detail that they left out or changed (and get very annoyed!) {Amy can testify that I've done this!}

When you dread going away for any period of time for fear that the 'crazy talkative people' of the H.E. will leave you 50 pages of the GHCR to read when you get back :D

You go around asking sports nuts if they know how to play Quidditch

You get mad and call them posers if they don't know what Quidditch is.

You scream whenever you see anything Harry Potter.

You get the trivia game for Christmas and are upset that the questions are so easy.

You and your friends are constantly quizzing each other to see who knows more about Harry Potter.

You win these quizzing matches that you have with your friends about Harry Potter

YKYAOWHP/HE when...

You pull into the driveway when you get home from dinner with your dad, and find a loose dog (a little wimpy terrier!) staring at you and immeadiatly thing "SIRIUS!!!"

Your dad turns on the TV after getting home from said dinner and seeing said dog and you immeadiatly recognize that the PoA movie is showing, even though you are in a different room, because you hear Aunt Marge's Waltz (and her screams of inflation) being played.

when the above happens and you're first thought is to immeadiatly log onto H.E. and post about it in the "you know you're obsessed with hp/he when... thread"

YKYAOWHP/HE when you see the word 'impedmenta' in your latin translation homework and you think of the harry potter spell, and because of that spell, know the meaning of the word.


(all of the above have JUST happened to me in a time span of 5 minutes!! LOL i'm obsessed! i could spend my LIFE like this...i AM spending my life like this...)

you laugh hysterically at all of the 'How many ____ does it take to light a wand' jokes Ginny's told us (those are sooooooo funny, I love them XD)

You try to get your friends to change their names to names from the book.

You try to put spells from the books on mostly everything in sight.

You try to fly by getting a broomstick and either jump out of a window or a tree - and break your leg.
