You Know You are Obsessed with Harry Potter/HE when...

First topic message reminder :

Hey there, it's your RDE(Resident Death Eater) with a new fun game for us all to play!
(I've seen different variations of the You know you on other sites about other topics)

The rules are you have to put something related to Harry Potter/and or the HE in this game. You come up with stuff like you tell everyone basically about how to spot HP obsessed people and how you can tell when someone has been too obsessed haha.


It's called 'You Know You Are Obsessed With HP When... (YKYAOWHP)-

Some examples--

YKYAOWHP when you wake up in the middle of the night rubbing your forehead thinking it is burning

YKYAOWHP when you shout 'Expecto patronum' at you own shadow

YKYAOWHP when you hear popping and think it's someone apparating.

YKYAOWHP when you call 'Gandalf' Dumbledore while watching Lord of the Rings

YKYAOWHP(HE) when you see purple Hippos in your dreams

YKYAOWHP(HE) when you first jump online and go straight to the HE site (I do this haha)

You have a harry potter mug, am drinking Harry potter hot coco, while wearing your hogwarts sweatshirt and chatting on this site. LOL (all of which I am doing)

You tell everyone at school that you've had your HP tickets for the past year.

You try to persuade your parents to buy you all the paperback Harry Potter books for a lightweight travel set. If they don't, you save up money to buy it instead.

You don't drink tea anymore because of that witch with oversized spectacles.
Everytime your friend wants to distract you, she takes advantage of your crush on Harry Potter by distracting you with HP/Dan Radcliffe related items.

You watch the Harry Potter movie with your friend, you hiss in her ear if there are mistakes.

Make buisness cards up for this site and hand them to random people on the street

You google the web endlessly trying to find an HP image you haven't yet seen

You have presents under your X-mas tree for Fred, George, Snape, Ron, Harry and Hermione hoping they will come over and open them

On Halloween you give little trick or treaters dressed up as HP characters more candy than the other ones.

You beg your english teacher to let you take advanced British Literature because you think one of the main authors that you will study will be J.K. Rowling.

You try to persuade the Athletic director at your school to create a Quidditch team.

If you actually persuade him/her to allow you to have a Quidditch Team, you demand on being named Captain and conducting tryouts.

~You go on Ebay to look for someone selling a dragon egg.

~You go into your back yard your in hope there will be gnomes running about.

~You find a 'gnome' and throw it over the fence...and then realize that was your neighbor's small dog :D

When you see a guy with red hair walking with a girl (not blonde) and you start screaming at them: "WHAT HAPPENED TO SKY?!"

you compare everything bad that happens in life to how it can be fixed with a simple spell

you make up spells hoping they will actually work

you sit for hours on end typing in the great hall roleplay section and stay up until midnight doing it because you are afraid you will miss something good

When there is no one one the chatbox and you have a lengthy conversation with yourself

~You go on HE, see that there is a list of "Things I wont do at hogwarts" on a thread and print these out, you find them hysterical

~You force all your friends to read them and laugh when they dont get them

~You print out 290 more because that's how much you love them XD

~You get your hands on a copy of the school newspaper and write "THE DAILY PROPHET" on it

~You ponder the meaning of the title of the wizards' newspaper during Geometry

You say "I'm going to get the post" (instead of mail...)

You give your classes new names... math: arithmency, science:potions, etc.

When someone on here agrees to marry you and you spend 3 days straight planning you HE wedding.

You send owl posts to other married couples on the site asking them advice on how to make it work out

When you try to adopt everyone on the site as your child

Have dreams about things your roleplay character should do and you get up at 3am to post it so you wont forget

You have a nervous breakdown waiting for the next person to post in the great hall so you can continue your story

you are willing to kill off your favorite character your RP is married to just because your future HE husband's character wants to get with her. (hehe...and people are mad at me cuz i'm having Fred Weasley killed)

your hairdryer stops working and your are convinced it's because of the magic in your room.

Somebody doesn't understand the finer points of something, and you call them an idiot Muggle :D

You are late for work because you had an excellent idea for a dueling tourney post and will not leave the house until it is completed.


You buy a Snape wand from the noble collection and get it delivered to your house and grab it and point it at the neighbors house and start reciting spells hoping they will actually work and pray they sent you the actual magic wand by mistake. You get upset when it does not really work and you order another one to see if maybe this time you will get the real thing!

...you start dreaming you're at Hogwarts
...you stop somebody on the street and ask whether she/he is your HE mommy/daddy, although you don't even know how she/he looks like
...you pick a fight with one of your colleagues just because he/she is wearing green and silver

...you fly out of the bus window on your broom when there's heavy traffic
