| A Company of Swans by Eva Ibbotson. Second book that I've read from her, and she seems to stick to the same loose plot line like she did in the other one, but she's still an awesome writer. Still got all choked up by the sad parts and was able to imagine everything cuz she does gorgeous description...*sigh* | |

| Carpool Confidential by Jessica Benson--the kind of book that makes me immediately want to start writing a book of my own. Really good in a completely sneaky way, so that you're deep in the middle of the book before you realize that, hey, it's good. Doesn't blow you away or anything, but there was one priceless scene where - Spoiler:
Cassie saves the ratty, overspoiled dog belonging to her (soon to be ex-) mother-in-law from choking on an ice cube, only to have the ice cube fly down her shirt, the dog bite her, and a very hot doctor dude show up to examine her bitten hand, because they are in a very posh restaurant in Manhattan that does that sort of thing. XD Oh and she was locked out earlier, after taking a run, so she's all unshowered and sweaty....not in a good way.

| Knife Edge by Malorie Blackman, which I totally by chance (or was it fate? XD) saw at the library and grabbed. It was kinda love-hate with me for this one. Gorgeous writing, excellent characters. Nice plot. Not jaw-dropping like the first one, cuz I was already used to the whole idea, and it took me a couple minutes to remember who everyone was (minerva! I didn't remember minerva! as soon as she said 'minnie' I realized who it was! ^^). Anyway, but I hate, hate, hate - Spoiler:
the letter that Callum wrote. Honestly, I know these tragic heroes think it will help their tragic heroines get on with their lives, BUT THEY ARE IDIOTS. No one with common sense would fall for that in a second. I consoled myself with thinking he must've gone mad in that jail.
Hello, if you've just died? The worst, the VERY WORST thing you can do is take away the dreams and memories of the people who loved you. THAT'S ALL THEY FREAKING HAVE LEFT!!!! And for him to go and mess with Sephy's memories like that, making him doubt that he ever loved her...is plain stupid and downright horrid. It doesn't show anything but selfishness in my opinion. You want them to hate you so much that they'll wish they didn't know you so that they can move on? Yeah, bad call. Cuz they'll probably end up killing themselves first.
Arrrggh. I can't stand this. I now officially hate Callum. I don't care why he wrote it. I don't care if he was mad, forced, or truly believed it would do her good. Nobody, NOBODY, should ever do something rubbishy like that.
XD Rather huge rant there, but I am EXTREMELY angry with Callum at the moment, and every moment in which I think of Knife Edge, and if I could - Spoiler:

| Streamsie - I had the same feeling about him when I read that... but you've gotta read "Checkmate" ... I don't wanna spoil, I'm just saying.... it clears the whole messy situation up a bit. It still was a pooey thing of him to do... but it supports the whole plot of Knife Edge and Checkmate so maybe it wasn't so bad after all.
