Duck the Duck V LilyFlower - round 1

Each person will have 6 posts within a match!
Bring in as many new ways of attacking and defending as possible!
When the 6 posts each have finished – the match is finished and you will have to wait for your scores
Scores will be updated on score thread after each match marked!
The lowest scoring four people at the end of the matches will be knocked out and round 2 will commence
Only the named two people can post in the designated post.


Let the battle commence!

::Duck steps into the duelling ring and faces her opponent. Wand at the ready, she releases her first spell::

"Avis!"

::a small flock of fluttering birds flies towards LilyFlower, to distract her, as Duck prepares her next move. Duck puts up the strongest shield spell she knows, which will only be broken by being hit with a lot of spells and hexes::

"Protego quinquiplico!"

::Duck waits for her opponent to make their move::

::Duck deftly ducks the leg-locker curse, and rolls onto the floor to evade being hit::

"You won't have it that easy, Lily!"

::She aims her wand at her opponent, and gets ready to shout her next spell::

"Rictumsempra!" ::Duck yells, then continues her barrage of spells, "Aguamenti!"

::Duck watches as the spells hit Lily::

::Duck falls to the floor, but before landing casts a quick cushioning charm on the hard surface. Seeing Lily aiming a body bind at her, she leaps up quickly and tries to deflect the curse. However, it grazes her left arm, leaving it immobile for a short time::

"This is turning out to be interesting, Lily!"

::Casts the muffliato spell on Lily, rendering her unable to hear which spell is used next::

"Expelliarmus!" ::Duck watches as Lily's wand soars from her hand and lands over to the side::

"What are you going to do now?"

::Luckily, Duck's shield spell is still holding strong, and it deflects the stupefy spell with ease. Duck was weakened though, Lily had removed her ability to speak.::

(Thank goodness I learned non-verbal spells last year)::Duck thought::

::Readying herself, Duck looks across at Lily, who is shocked her stupefy spell did not work. Pointing her wand at her opponent, Duck quickly thinks of which hex to use next. Deciding on the jelly-legs jinx, she concentrates on sending the spell towards Lily, and is pleased when she sees the hex leave her wand and pierce Lily's shield spell::

(yes!) ::she thinks:: (I wonder what Lily'll throw at me next?)

::Duck felt a strange mist enter her head, and it took several seconds to realise she had been hit by the confounding hex. Performing the counter-curse non-verbally, she whirled in horror as she heard Lily shout 'sectumpsempra'::

(How could she do that? This is a friendly duel!)

::Duck's shield was still strong, and so she was only affected a little bit by the vicious, evil curse. The curse caused her to recieve a slight cut on her forearm, but having learned battlefield healing spells the month before, Duck quicky performed a temporary stitching spell, and watched as her skin stitched together, closing the cut::

::Thinking quickly, she searched her mind for something that would severely weaken Lily. Suddenly, she got a flash of inspiration and performed the 'densuago' curse non-verbally. Lily's teeth began growing, until they were at least 30cm long. Whilst Lily was temporarily distracted by her teeth, Duck performed another spell::

(Relashio) ::Duck thought, and watched as the jet of fiery sparks flew towards Lily, breaking through her shield, and hitting her::

::Duck's legs began dancing quickly, but almost as soon as they did, Duck used the non-verbal spell 'finite incantaem' to stop::

(is that the best you can do Lily?) ::she thought, before feeling her tongue sticking to the roof of her mouth:: (well that was a waste of a spell, Lily, or did you forget you'd already silenced me and that I can do non-verbal spells?)::she thought::

::Duck decided that it was time to end this duel once and for all. Lily's shield was gone, could she withstand the next barrage of spells?::

(Serpensortia!)::Duck thought, and a large snake appeared, advancing towards Lily, then non-verbally used the trip jinx on Lily, before sending off her last spell of the duel, also non-verbally (Stupefy!)
