Round One - Snapes_girl vs Brunette

*Brunette entered the dimly lit room. She was very anxious to get through the duel in one piece. All her insides were bouncing with excitment for her first time in the duelling tournament. She flipped her long hair away from her face and rolled up her sleeves*

Breathe, Relax, Concentrate she thought.

*Taking out her wand, she raised it towards her opponent who was standing at ready. Brunette smirked at the girl, "Good Luck." she said and then "viento!" (wind) A stong powerful wind burst from the tip of her wand and wrapped the girl in a sort of tunnel, almost like a tornado.*

*Brunette's robes flapped around her as her hair went waving towards the force of the wind. "Silencio!" aimed her wand at the girl. This would succesfully seal her mouth from speaking any spells against her.*

"All right, there?" Brunette called cheekily.

*Snapes_girl was stunned her opponent struck her so quickly. Luckily they had been learning non-verbal spells in the last few weeks in Defence against the dark arts class.*

*She pointed her wand at brunette and concentrated very hard in her mind "LEVICORPSUS"*

Brunette flew up in the air and was dangling in mid air upsidown. And Snapes_girl's mouth became unsealed.

"Very good, for a beginner."

~Brunette cursed herself as she floated in the air. Of course, she had forgotten they had learned non-verbal spells in class! How could sh have been so stupid?! ~

Just a glich, no matter she thought.

~Taking out her wand, she pointed it directly at Snape's girl and shouted "Expelliramus!" a blind light shot out and knocked her opponent's wand out her hand. Although, it was a good counter attack, she should have done it while not in the air for she fell with a sickening crack onto the hard ground.~

~Brunette could have sworn her left wrist was sprained because of the immense pain that kept shooting from it, but she shook it off. There would be a way to fix it later. Right now there was a task at hand that she was determined to win. She pushed her hair out of her face in a huff and smirked at her opponent.~

"Locomotor Mortis!" ~she screamed and watched the girl's legs lock. Now she was unable to move around. She went to cast another spell, but she reflected it and Brunette ducked just in time.~ "Incarcerous!" ~ropes extracted from the tip of her wand and binded Snape's girl.~

~She smiled and said.~ "What do you think now?"

*Snapes_girl managed to get her left hand through the ropes. "Accio wand" She screamed and her wand came flying twards her and back into her hand.*

*She pointed her wand at the ropes binding her and said, "Evanesco" The ropes instantly dissapeared away from her. She then pointed her wand at her legs and shouted, "Finite incantantum" Her legs were now back to normal. She jumped up and regained her footing. "Nice one." She said to her opponet.*

*Snapes_girl thrusted her wand forward and pointed it at Brunette and shouted, "Rictusempra"*

*Brunette fell to the ground she was laughing uncontrollably. "How do you like my tickling charm?" Snapes_girl asked her smiling.*

~Brunette found herself rolling around on the floor, screeching with laughter. Her eyes were slammed shut and watering with tears. She tried to stop herself, but it would end up in loud guffawing snorts~

Come on...Concentrate, you can knock off the spell She thoguth. To her surprise it weared off, but it came back and she exploded into laughter once again.

CONCENTRATE...concentrate.. She let out deep breahts when the spell broke and her opponent fell back on the floor, staring at her in a shocked expression. Brunette smirked and said, "It's called...will...power." she was still short of breath. "And now.." she raised her wand. "CHARLE" (means Babblin in Spanish)

~A swirl of blue and green erupted from her wand and smashed Snapes_Girl in the face. At first, Brunette thought her Babbling Curse didn't work, but she smiled when Snapes_Girl stood and said something that came out in un reconizable words.~

*Snapes_girl stood there with a shocked look on her face. Everytime she opened her mouth to talk her words were jumbled and not making any sense.*

"Wabba tooky fabfab" She just couldn't get the words out right. "Feemie leeka litlit?*

*She needed to think, and quick." Non-verbal. I need to concentrate really hard now."*

*Snapes_girl concentrated with everything she could and pointed her wand at her mouth. "Finite" She said inside her head. Finally the babbling curse was lifted. Snapes_girl pointed her wand at Brunette and shouted "Expelliarmus!" Brunettes wand flew out of her hand and fell about 10 feet behind her on the floor. Snapes_girl then shouted "tarantallegra!"*

*Brunette fell to the floor. Her legs were uncontrollably moving in a dancing like motion that she couldn't control.*

*"So, you fancy a dance?" Snapes_girl said to her opponent. She couldn't help but smile.*

~Brunette had to admit that she hated dancing more than anything. So, watching her legs move in an unfamiliar way wasn't really waht she hoped. She glared at Snapes_Girl as she giggled.~

This is so not funny she thought impatinely

~Taking her wand she waved it around at her legs. "Finite Incantatem" she whispered and the spell lifted to Brunette's immense relief.~ "No more Mr. Nice Guy..." It was time to get dirty. She lifted her wand once again.


"Incendio!" a ring of fire encirlced Snape's_Girl who was now blocked into the center. The fire was neither growing nor spreading. "Stupefy!" a jet of light shot out Brunette's wand and stunned the girl, who fell to the floor, unconcious. "Protego," she murmured, casting a shield charm on herself to block hexes from her oppenent.

*Snapes_girl lay on the floor for several minutes unconsious before the spell began to slowly wear off. When she opened her eyes she could see flames all around her. "Accio wand" She said in a very groggy and tired sounding voice. Her wand flew into her hand. She pointed the wand at the flames and weakly said, "Aguamenti" Water began to shoot out of her wand. She sat up and started to put out the flames.*

*After another few minutes Snapes_girl finally had the strength to stand up. She put a protection charm over herself and faced her opponent.
"That was brilliant! You should have been sorted into Slytherin!" She said to Brunette.*

*Snapes_girl pointed her wand at Brunette and thought hard. She was sore and tired. "Densaugeo" She shouted. But nothing happened. The protego spell that Brunette cast on herself was blocking the effects of the spell. Snapes_girl then pointed her wand at Brunette's wand and shouted, "Wingardium Leviosa" Brunettes wand flew out of her hand. Snapes_girl was enjoying making the wand hover around the room.*

~Brunette was more than shocked when she saw that S.G had been able ot get out of her trap. She had thought so hard, but no matter at least the shield would protect her from harm's way. She smirked. She thought wrong for now, her wand was hovering, but only feet above her head~

"No, Ravenclaw is the house for me." she said to her oppenet. "I depend on my wits." she tapped her head, lightly.

~She looked up, brushing a strand of hair from her eyes.~

"Very Clever." she muttered with a frown, setting her hands on her hips. She was in a predicament that was for sure. There was nothing that could help, no matter how many times she looked around the room and she was positive S.G was cooking something up in her head.~

Think, girl, think...what can I counter with? Then she got an idea.

~Suddenly hershield charm wore off. Now, she was vulnerable to attack. What was Brunette going to do without her wand?~

*"Well, now what....Let me think now." Snapes_girl smiled at her opponent. "Densaugeo" She said hoping this time it would work. Brunettes teeth started to grow at an alarming rate.*

*Wow, I have never done that spell before! A bit scary." Snapes_girl re-cast another protego spell over herself. "Ok, I like to play fair. Your wand." Snapes girl let Brunettes wand land back into it's owners hand.*

*She braced herself for what was about to come. She knew she was semi-safe with the protection spell but that Brunette was one smart Ravenclaw.*

~Brunette smirked. She knew that S.G must be struggling having to keep up that shield charm. It was uncommon for witches/wizards to cast this speel properly even many adults. She remembered learning that in Defense Against The Darks Arts.~

She'll wear down Brunette thought, clutching her wand.

"Reducto!" She shouted, blast of light shooting out the tip of her wand. It made contact, but bounced off and came back. Brunette ducked and kept on repeating the spell. It was boud to make S.G weaker. "reducto!" she called again, seeing that S.G seemed on the verge of letting down her shield.

~Brunette had to admit that she had some spunk. If she were S.G, she would've given up by now.~

"REDUCTO!!" Brunette exclaimed, putting all her energy into it and with a force she broke through her oppenents wall.

Finally! Brunette thought as she relaxed a bit. She was feeling a bit weak herself from firing all those curses. That girl is tough

*Snapes_girl had to give Brunette credit for this one. "You are good, and quite persistant I must say."

*Snapes_girl stood there for a few minutes and thought about what to do. She was exausted and just wanted to go and take a hot shower. She raised her wand and pointed it at Brunette. Brunette's teeth were enlarged and still growing. "Finio" She shouted and Brunettes teeth stopped grownig. "Reducio" She said and Brunettes teeth went back to their normal size.* She then said, "gobblous turkia" Brunette immediatly began to gobble like a turkey.

"Just keeping with the holiday spirit." Snapes_girl told her opponent.
