12th House Quidditch: GRYFFINDOR V HUFFLEPUFF: 2nd - 6th

(Gryffindor Beater)
::Amber ran onto the field out of breath. She looked around and let out a sigh of relief. She was the first one here. She got onto her broom and started flying around.::

"At least I'm not late." ::she said aloud.::

::prinny walked on to the pitch, looking around she saw that amber was the only one on the pitch so she flew over to her:: "hey amber, wonder when the others are gonna get here"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn walked out to the quidditch pitch and took a look around. "Hmm...first Huffie here. That's a surprise.." She thought to herself with a shrug of her shoulders.::

::A cold blast of wind blew at her and thankfully woke her up from her stupor. Tucking a strand of black hair behind her ear, Jenn grasped her broom with her right hand and jumped on. Anxious to get the game started, she waited for at least one of her teammates before starting the game.::

(I shouldn't be doing this since it would help me but it's Christmas time and I don't want to be mean. Amber Prinny! Remember to post your team position before you start RPing otherwise it won't count!)

::prinny saw jenn arrive and looked at amber:: "does this mean we can start or what?"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Ginny tied a scarf tightly around her neck and shot up into the air. After only a moment or two, her pale freckled face was already chapped with cold and her teeth were chattering. The red head looked around and saw Jenn. Ginny snatched the Quaffle out of the air and flew over to her fellow Chaser.::

"Okay Jenn...it's cold, and I hate it, but are you ready for some Quidditch?" ::She smiled.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn smiled and twirled a bit in the air. "Of course I'm ready." She said with a wink. "I'm a badger."

::Nodding her head to the right, she flew to the center of the field and waited in position. As Ginny passed the quaffle to her, Jenn snatched it out of the air with her left hand and tucked it under her arm. Flying toward the Gryffindor goal posts, she ducked and rolled to the left (Badger Hide) to avoid a bludger. Zooming straight toward the Gryffindor keeper, Jenn pulled up at the last minute to avoid a collison and threw the quaffle behind her right shoulder as a backhand pass to Ginny who was waiting in position.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::She caught the Quaffle and feinted to the right, and then quickly pulled left, and shot diagonally towards the center goal. The red head smiled and whooped.::

"GO HUFFLEPUFF!" ::However, she inhaled a bit too much of the cold air and was soon coughing violently.:: "I'm...er..okay. Just don't let me do that ever again!" ::The red head grinned over at Jenn and said.::

"You up to the PUFFERANG?!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn laughed and pounded Ginny on her back. "Better?" She asked with a huge smile. "Yeah, I think we should since we've been trying to do the Pufferrang for the last three games!"

::Catching the quaffle as it was thrown back into play, Jenn caught the quaffle and glanced over at Ginny. She shook her head and waited for the signal. She always hated this part because she got dizzy so easily but they had to do whatever they had to do for the team. Grasping the quaffle in her right hand, she wrapped her arm tightly around her bromstick. Jenn held her left hand out toward Ginny.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::The red head gasped and sputtered.::

"Er..yeah...better," ::her brown eyes were watering as she turned to face Jenn. Ginny was going to enjoy throwing her after that back pounding experience. She gripped Jenn's left hand as tightly as she could without hurting her, and spun her around once...twice...six times (mwahaha) then, bracing herself, she let go and sent Jenn shooting in the direction of the goals.::

"GODSPEED JENN!" ::Ginny shouted.::

(HUfflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn opened her eyes and waited for the exact moment to throw the quaffle. Her eyes begin to dry as the wind started to dry them up. Struggling to keep her itching eyes alert, she flew (or rather was thrown) like lighting toward the center hoop. She quicking threw the quaffle. Grasping her broomstick with both hands, she was able to jerk herself up and around in the opposite direction.::

::Once sitting upright again, she nearly slipped off her broomstick as her head continued spinning.::

"Gee thanks Ginny," Jenn said with a joking glare. "You know this move only calls for at the most 4 swings."

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Ginny smirked.::

"Well I wanted to be absolutely positive you made it all the way to the goal posts!" ::Her brown eyes searched the field for any opposing chasers and then she shrugged.::

"How about we slow it down with a bit of Badger Banter?"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Tossing out all our best moves huh Ginny?" Jenn teased with a grin.::

::Catching the quaffle once more when it was thrown back into the game as none of the Grffyindor chasers seemed to be awake. 'They must have drank some of Caroru's special rum.' Jenn thought sadly as she wasn't able to have some.::

::Tucking the quaffle under her left arm, Jenn flew around in circles. Deciding to play a bit, she smiled happily and started to fly in circles toward the Gryffindor goal posts. Drawing back her arm as though throwing the quaffle into the goal post, Jenn merely casually tossed it into the air. She whipped back her broom and kicked the quaffle...in the opposite direction across the field, into Ginny's arms instead.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Jenn my dear, we have nothing but the best Quidditch moves!" ::Ginny pointed out with a laugh. She casually flew around the pitch until she was needed, and when the Quaffle came flying at her she caught it. She lazily flew in front of all of the Quidditch posts and stretched herself out on her broom. With a yawn, she flew about three feet above the hoops, and then slowly dropped the Quaffle down below her, where Jenn was waiting.::

"Special delivery..."

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn caught the quaffle with a casual outstretch of her hand. Sharting to juggle it as she flew, she flew in large figure 8's to duck bludgers. Once more she flew toward the Gryffindor goal posts and pretended to toss in. Grabbing the quaffle back at the last minute again, Jenn threw it in the air and whipped her broom around as though to kick it to Ginny once more.::

::Reaching out unexpectedly, she volleyed the quaffle to the left and it went straight into the Gryffindor left hoop with a loud swish.::

::Jenn smiled as she caught the quaffle and threw it at Ginny. "How about your trademark Crazy Badger Kick for the next move?"

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL rushed onto the pitch and searched the skies for Amber. "Hey AMBER? Where are you?"

She gave violent chase to a bludger, and when she caught it a few seconds later, she whacked it hard against the edge of Ginny's broom to send her spinning in WL's infamous Catherine Wheelie...it had been a long time since she had done that, and she was looking forward to getting back into the swing...::

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Marie hopped on the pitch while still putting on one of her socks and then jumped on her broom, clutching to her bat as she tied her shoes. She then kicked the ground and went flying in the air, holding on to her broom with one hand as she put her hair up in a messy ponytail and then she turned to face her team mates.

"Okay I'm ready," she said, grinning.

So was the other team as she realized when Ginny started spinning around, thanks to WL's bludger. Sighing, she flew toward her captain and grabbed Ginny's broom tightly to stop it from spinning. When Ginny stopped feeling dizzy, Marie smiled at her when she noticed she was still holding tight to the quaffle and flew toward the nearest bludger, sending it toward WL, hoping it would at least give the Hufflepuff team a break to score some goals.

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber watched as Marie sent a bludger back toward WL, she sighed and was close enough to get back and whack the bludger back toward Marie.::

"I'm right here of coarse, are you okay you look a little dizzy."

(Commentator)

Jimmy hurried up the steps to the commentator's booth, pulling his arm through the sleeves of his robes as he did so. As he reached the top, he flopped into his chair, securing his Ravenclaw scarf firmly around his neck as he reached for the microphone.

"Sorry Professor, I meant to be here on time, but you know there's this Gryffindor prefect and she has the most amazing thing she does with her..." He trailed off, blushing furiously as he realised the microphone was switched on.

"HAHA! Erm, oops!" He spluttered, clearing his throat. "Um, welcome to the twelfth House Quidditch match of the season! In red, or does that look a slightly more pinky colour to you? Anyway, sorry Professor, in red we have the kittens! OW! I mean the lions! The lions! GRYFFINDOR versus HUFFLEPUFF!" He paused for a moment to glare at the sea of red below him, lobbing the manky old boot someone had thrown at his head back into the crowd.

"And we're off to a fairly one-sided start! Jenn pulls off a Badger Hide roll as she passes to Ginny, who shoots...it's going...SHE SCORES! 10-0 to Hufflepuff, and you'd best clear that up Ginny, this Quidditch game isn't any place for people who can't deal with the cold."

"Jenn grabs the quaffle again as it's thrown back into play, now what's she...uh oh, I think they're going to attempt a Pufferang! Notorious for its use in the 1932 House Quidditch match between Hufflepuff and Slytherin for being one of the most boring games in Hogwarts history, when all three hufflepuff chasers collided with all three Slytherin chasers, leaving the Beaters to hit the Quaffle between each other until the Seekers finally caught the Snitch thirty six hours later. However since Gryffindor haven't even turned up yet, or at least, haven't done anything to stop the badgers, I think we'll be okay. So here we go, Jenn links on to Ginny and she's spinning once, twice, thrice, four, FIVE, SIX TIMES! WOW! Look at that girl fly! Glad you're not on my team Ginny! And now Jenn's soaring like a human bullet towards the centre hoop, she shoots and she SCORES! 20-0 to Hufflepuff, and Gryffindor had better start getting into this game soon before it runs away with them. Come on, kittens! OW! What's with you lot and that boot, anyway? Where did it COME from and WHY are you keeping it?"

"And oh my, it seems Hufflepuff aren't even trying anymore. Ginny's just casually dropping the Quaffle into Jenn's waiting hands, who passes...no wait...VOLLEYS the balls straight into the left hoop. Hufflepuff Thirty, Gryffindor Nil."

"And finally! We have a Gryffindor flying. Hello, Lily, looks like you'll have your work cut out for you here. And Marie's just arrived, bolstering the Hufflepuff team who appear to be loving the easy scores at the moment. Very talented team that Hufflepuff, three points ahead in the league right now above Ravenclaw, despite us winning more games than them. I think maybe the judges might be a liiiittle...OW! ALRIGHT PROFESSOR! SORRY!"

Rubbing his head, Jimmy peered out over the pitch some more, watching the action unfold.

::prinny looked out on to the pitch and saw that hufflepuff were leading. grabbing the quaffle she looked around for some gryffindor support::

(Hufflepuff Keeper) [Pinny! Don't forget your house name and postiton!]

::Dancing raced onto the pitch just in time to see Pinny with the Qwaffle she soared into the air racing for her postion in front of the goals.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn glanced to the left in time to see Prinny catch the quaffle intended for Ginny. 'Well, we can't have that now can we?' She thought to herself with a frown.::

::Turning her broomstick around, Jenn flew to catch up to Prinny before she made a goal. Wrapping her left arm and leg around her broom, she leaned to her right and swiftly knocked the quaffle out of her arms. Dipping her broom down a few feet, Jenn was able to catch the fallen quaffle before anyone else did. She jerked her broom to the left and flew toward the Gryffindor goal post, still keeping a lookout for opposing players and stray bludgers.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Ginny flew over next to Jenn, so close to her that it was unclear which of them had the Quaffle. Together they flew towards the goals and at the last moment, she swerved out of the way, giving Jenn plenty of room to score, which she then did.::

"WOO Go badgers!" ::she cheered, punching her fist in the air.::

::Jenn winked at Ginny and grasped the quaffle firmly in her hands as Ginny moved aside to let her score. Jenn tossed the quaffle neatly into the left hoop with a loud swish.::

::Smiling, she gave Ginny a thumbs up and flew toward the center of the field once more to wait as the quaffle gets thrown into play.::

(Commentator)

Jimmy swung the boot idly by its shoelaces, watching the lacklustre game unfold.

"And finally, Gryffindor get into the game. Prinny has the Quaffle, she's flying...and OOH! A great tackle from Jenn there, who retakes possession for Hufflepuff. Gryffindor Beaters, protect your chasers for goodness sake!" He watched at Jenn began soaring towards the Lions' goalposts again.

"And it looks like another score, Ginny running interference alongside Jenn, a favourite play amongst chasers. Yes it is! Forty nil to the Badgers, and the Lions had better get going soon or this game is quite literally going to fly out of their hands. COME ON GRYFFINDOR!"

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber glared at Jimmy.::

"FOR CRYING OUT LOUD WE CAN'T DO EVERYTHING YOU KNOW!" ::She yelled at him.::

::She headed toward the nearest bludger and hit it toward Jenn, with as much force as she could muster without falling off.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn spotted the bulletlike bludger coming straight at her sent by Amber. Thinking quickly, she loosened her grip on the broom and slid upside down. Her weight qickly pulled the broomstick down a few feet letting her narrowly missing the bludger.::

"Hmm..at least now I'm glad that Etta made me practice the Badger Drop at practice last week." Jenn muttered to herself with a laugh. Wrapping her legs over the broom, she deftly pulled herself back in the upright position and flew off.::

::prinny watched as jenn did the badger drop. she was focusing so hard on the move that she didnot notice that she dropped the quaffle. as prinny flew toward the goals she turned around and saw the look of comprehension on jenn's face when she saw she had lost the quaffle::

"love you jenn!" ::prinny yelled as she blew her a kiss::

::then, flying toward the hufflepuff goalposts she feinted right and saw the keeper fly to the left hoop. she then neatly popped the ball in the right hoop::

::as she turned around, beaming she saw jenn had flown up to her uh oh she thought she's angry::

::Ginny noticed that Prinny was being distracted by Jenn's "anger", so she took the opportunity to skillfully maneuver herself around several obstacles-various opposing Gryffindors, a bludger, and a startlingly large butterfly to be specific. She soon found herself at the other end of the Quidditch pitch. With a smile, she pulled her arm back and tossed the Quaffle through the center hoop.::

"All right!" ::she turned around and called to Jenn.:: "Come on, Jenn! We should try the Hufflepuffaboo while we still have time!"

::Amber watche as Ginny said something to Jenn. this isn't good.. she thought before looking around trying to track down a bludger.::

(Gryy Chaser) [i remembered!!!]

::prinny caught the quaffle thrown to her nd yelled at amber:: "come on amber!!! whack some bludgers!!"

::flying off toward the goalposts she tossed the ball through the goalposts and flew off, watinig for the next chance to catch the quaffle::

(Commentator)

Jimmy narrowed his eyes at the cheeky Gryffindor beater, before he put his hand over the microphone.

"Well you could at least do something!" He yelled back, before focusing again on the game.

"Jenn has possession, but what's this? Amber hits a bludger directly at her! And a superbly executed Badger Drop from the chaser there, she's obviously been practicing, but not enough, since she's dropped the Quaffle and...YES! Prinny picks it up for Gryffindor, and she's going, moving to the left but throws it into the right. GOAL! Hufflepuff 40 - Gryffindor 10." He glanced over the pitch as he made some notes on his pad. Yes, these observations would come in handy for the next Ravenclaw / Gryffindor / Hufflepuff games.

"And it seems Ginny's taken advantage of the atmosphere to grab the Quaffle, and she's off! Slaloming, weaving, bobbing...and OOH! That bludger nearly got you there love. She's at the goalpost again, and that's another ten well deserved points for Hufflepuff. Great flying Ginny. The score is now Hufflepuff 50, Gryffindor 10."

"Looks like there's a little local colour happening between the Gryffindor chaser and beater. Not surprising really, they must be stressed with being the only two Lions on the pitch, but they're gonna have to work together, not against each other, and come up with some Beater/Chaser plays pretty damn quickly...sorry Professor...if they want to win this. Prinny has the Quaffle again, and she scores almost effortlessly. Must have caught the Badgers unawares. Hufflepuff 50, Gryffindor 20."

::WL sped across the pitch and claimed a bludger to whack it towards the Hufflepuff Keeper as Prinny got hold of the quaffle again and was in the scoring area. The quaffle went soaring through the goal yet agian and WL went to recover the bludger::

::grinning at the plan she and WL and formulated she held the quaffle firmly and flew over to the goalposts. as dancing was hit by the bludger she nearly fell from her broom and prinny scored::

::turning around to jimmy she yelled:: "JIMMY! i wasnt being rude i was being supportive so leave us alone! thats 50-30 now and we will win this game!!"

::Amy flew onto the pitch, she knew she was late and quickly apologised to her teammates.

As prinny scored, amy flew forward and caught the quaffle as it fell from the goal post. She then flew in a circle, hoping to get the chance to score.::

::prinny flew close to amy, there if she needed her. whispering she said:: "quick we need a plan"

"Hmm," amy said, "how about if we just fly parallel to each other, tossing the quaffle between us until one of us can put it through the goal? That would stop any beaters from focussing on one of us particularly."

"i like it" ::she said and put the play in motion. as they approached the goalposts the keeper was unsure of which post to cover as the ball was moving so rapidly between the two of them. quickly passing to amy she watched hopiing she would score::

::They carried on passing the quaffle between them, then arrived at the goalposts. Amy threw the ball towards the left hand goal, and, sure enough - it went through! Goal for Gryffindor.::

::cheering prinny turned around and yelled at jimmy:: "thats 50-40 now! told you we'd catch up"

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL followed the Chasers' progress as they passed the quaffle along, and successfully protected them against three bludger attacks, and hit one at a Hufflepuff Chaser who wanted to intercept the quaffle::

::With an almighty heave, WL sent a bludger soaring in the direction of the quaffle as it left the keeper's hands as they threw it back to their team. Surprising the Huffie keeper, the quaffle rebounded right back into the hoop, making the score 50-50!!!::

::laughing at WL's genius prinny grabbed the quaffle again. hoping to make it 60-50 she looked around for amy::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL smiled and waved her bat at prinny, doing a perfect Sloth Grip roll just in time to avoid a bludger, and racing after it when she recovered::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Ginny flew up to the right of Prinny and poked her on the side to distract her. She then quickly rolled over underneath Prinny's broom and snatched the Quaffle out from her arms.::

"Sorry Jujubean my dearest, but the badgers need me!" ::She headed quickly over to the goal posts and threw the quaffle in the left far hoop.::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber had caught up with a nearby bludger and saw that Ginny had thrown the quaffle toward the hoop.::

"Oh God please let this work," ::She said as she whacked the bludger at the quaffle. She smiled as the quaffle fell toward the ground without going through a hoop.::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL grinned at Amber as she pulled of the BLudger Rebound with style...she may have been nervous, but she certainly didn't show it! WL caught up with the bludger she was chasing and aimed it at Ginny as retaliation for trying to shoot. Not that shooting was illegal, but just because that was her job!::

Traci walked out to the pitch mumbling how no one woke her up she kicked off the ground moodly and looked around

::Jenn swooped in and caught the fallen quaffle as it neared the ground. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she caught Ginny's eye and looked up and down quickly refering to their signal for the Huff a Boo play.::

::Lightly pulling her broomstick up, she flew close to Ginny and they both put their hands in the same position as though they were switching quaffle. Rapidly flying up and around each other, they continued the trading movements so quickly, it was a blur to whose hands the quaffle was actually in.::

Traci looked up knocked in to jen so she dropped the quaffle a long with ginny Traci cought it zoomed to her side of the pitch and scored for gyffindore
