The posts can begin on Saturday 12th April - not before!
and will end on Wednesday 16th April - 5 days of rpg posting!

When you post - please put your position and team (eg. Gryffindor Beater) in brackets before you begin the RPG post - otherwise your post will be void of any points!

Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See this post for more info.

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

"Buzz Buzz Buzz!" The sound of Kate's alarm clock rang through her head as she had hoped. She had cast a spell so it only woke her up and nobody else. She jumped out of bed as if she had all the strength in the world and ran over to Rose who was still asleep in bed. "Wakey Wakey! Playing lazy lions today! Lets go!" She called to her.

Whilst Kate was waiting for Rose to wake up, she threw on her jogging bottoms and her Quidditch top (yellow with a black badger on it), grabbed her Quidditch robes out of her trunk and ran down the dormitory stairs.

As she got to the common room Kate looked out of the window at the playing conditions. Warm and sunny,"Perfect" She thought.

She then raced down to the great hall, grabbed a bit of toast, and then jumped down the entrance steps two at a time and chased off in the direction of the stadium. She could not wait to play.

As she reached the changing rooms, Kate pulled on her Quidditch robes and, as she could not wait for the others, she ran onto the pitch and zoomed up and around the pitch on her broom. There was nobody else there, that was how she liked it.

Kate flew around for a while then, settled at her position at the goal posts.

"So when does this thing start?" She asked herself.

(Referee)

Amy flew onto the pitch, the box of Quidditch balls under her arms. The Hufflepuff vs. Gryffindor match should be an interesting one.

She blew the whistle and released the balls.

"Let the game begin!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon splashed ice cold water on to her face in vain to wake her still dozing body up but to her dismay, she only gave a yawn to her reflection in the mirror. In her still trance like state, she walked over to her broom and WAM, her head went bouncing off the locker and a much more awake hufflepuff rubbed her head on the floor where she had tripped over someone's bat. Glaring at it, she muttered a few curses and slinging her broom over her shoulder and stepped out into the sun.

The weather was much better to the one she had experienced for the last few weeks when she had taken a trip to East USA. There, it was cold and rainy. Swinging her broom under her feet, she kicked off from the ground and hovered in the air. There was only the hufflepuff keeper and Juney on the pitch. Was the keeper new? Or was it the fact Dragon herself had on been around the last few weeks?

Shaking out of her thoughts, she pointed her broom to where Amy had released the balls then scanned the area shrewdly. Aha! There is the quaffle. Dragon shot towards the ball and with no other ball hogging chasers in sight, she easily secured the ball and hooked it under her arm.

Now all she had to do is to fly past Juney's bludger attempts and she could score. That can't be all that hard...can it?

(Gryffindor Chaser)

"Spriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiingtime!", Cris exclaimed, happily jumping on the spot and doing her warm-up in the Gryffindor locker room. If she thought about it well, she didn't really need any more warming up, all the hopping around while decorating the locker room had done the job quite well already, because for some reason or another, Cris had just not felt like decorating the room by magic. No, she had said to herself, it was spring, therefore, time to be active! Forgetting her usual laziness, Cris had done her utmost to make the room look nice - fresh grass was spread all over the floor in a thick layer, flowers of all colours were everywhere, from the ground to the ceiling, spreading a lovely smell - that would by the way have the pleasant by-effect of covering sweaty smells after the game - and, thanks to the only bits of magic she'd used, the light buzz of a mountain river could be heard along with bird's songs (Cris had tried to get real birds and a river inside the locker-room, but she had been told she'd needed to apply for a special permission for those inside the locker room one month beforehand. Everything comes to life again in spring, she thought - even bureaucracy.)

Wondering what to do with her own look, Cris decided the best was to ... well. Actually, she had no clear idea. Still, something had to be done! She let herself fall onto the grass and flowers and looked to the ceiling. (And saw nothing exciting whatsoever.) Ughhhh!, she thought, this is annoying! Angry about her lack of ideas, she rolled around in the grass a bit (spring is a mad time, eh?) ... then finally got up ... to see her hair appear as a mass of messy-something but full of grass and lovely pretty flowers! She giggled - it even looked good. She then glanced through the small window out onto the pitch and .. whooops, the Hufflepuff Keeper, and June from her team were already there and she could see Amy approach the pitch to release the ball.

Oh, oh, hurryyyyyyy!, she thought, took out her wand - magic was in need! -, conjured up a long flower garland, with all possible spring flowers one could think of and threw it around herself in loose spirals. She stared into the mirror. Well, it wasn't half bad. Luckily, she had already decorated her broom - a new Firebolt, by the way, a present from her mom, an omen that spring was starting off really good, heaven on earth! - the last evening with wooden coloured butterflies and silver bells on its tail, so she quickly grabbed it and ran out.

What her eyes saw, she didn't like, as Amy had obviously already released the balls and Dragon, the Hufflepuff Chaser had also arrived and gotten the Quaffle while she was busy doing flower-magic. She felt like swearing under her breath, but then stopped herself - no, it wasn't nice, after all, spring was all about positive feelings, wasn't it?

She took off, flew by her sister to quickly greet her - "Happy Spring, sis!" - then directed her new love.. erm, Firebolt, towards Dragon. Wooohoooo! It really felt awesome to be on a decent broom for a change and she even was faster than on her own old broom, the one she had broken and temporarily replaced with a school broom, an old Cleansweep 7. With her new broom and a bit of trying (and luck!), she was soon close behind Dragon. She was highly enjoying flying fast, laying almost flat on her broom, something she was quite sure she hadn’t experienced since ye good olde days as Seeker (or at least, since she’d smashed her other broom against the ground) – and it was awesome, she couldn't even begin to imagine how she'd survived all that time without it! She felt like screaming with exhilaration, but she obviously could not, since being still and unnoticed was the whole trick of what she was planning to do.

The Mole from Below, she thought with glee, remembering the move she’d just invented the other night. The principle was simple, all she had to do was fly unnoticed below the Chaser in front of her, yell something to scare her and hope she’d drop the Quaffle. …… on a second thought, it was something between “too simple” and “improbable to work”, as it relied greatly on the Chaser’s weak nerves. It was worth a try, in any case, she thought as she dived slightly, sped up a bit more and carefully flew under Dragon, keeping a distance of about one or two meters and praying she wouldn’t be seen too early.

“FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!”, she shouted and opened up her arms, to catch the Quaffle in case it fell … almost literally from heaven.

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

"DON'T LISTEN DRAGON! ITS A DECOY!" Kate called to her fellow Hufflepuff. Kate looked around so the game had finally started,Where are the other players? Kate thought to herself.

"Hey Griffy Chaser! You hoping for it to just fall from the sky? Try again mate!" Kate called and with an extra spring in her step she zoomed around the hoops waiting for her other team members.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie dashed from her dormitory to the common room and looked out the window. She had a clear view of the qudditch pitch from here. As she stared at the horizon, her heart sank: the game had already begun. Quickly, she sprinted through the castle, without bothering to eat, or talk to anybody she passed. She slowed down as she approached the locker room, clutching a stitch in her side. She pushed open the doors and hurriedly got dressed, pulled back her hair, and cluthed her broom, before turning and running out onto the pitch. With a deep breath she mounted her broom and started flying.

As she gained height, Katie watched as a bludger went soaring courtesy of June. With a smile, she trailed the bludger and outsped it, advancing on Cris and Dragon, who was currently in possession of the quaffle. Deciding it would be best to get below Cris incase something dramatic happened, Katie moved the desired postion and looked behind her to see the bludger comg straight at the three chasers. However, it was above Katie's head and directly aimed at Dragon. Katie looked up in case the quaffle came her way.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Good morning! I love being awake and not having anything to do! I can just relax and draw and read a good book... and.... what?" Skie looked over at the calender that she kept beside her bed. Circled in red pen that was spelled to blink was something that looked a little like 'QUIDDITCH GAME GET ON THE PITCH EARLY!'. "OH MY JUMPING BROOMSICKS!" Skie cried. "WHY AM I ALWAYS SO DARN LATE?!" she screamed at her calender as she shrugged into her quidditch clothes and shoved her shoes on as fast as possible. Running like a headless and drunken chicken down into the Hufflepuff locker room, Skie paused to think. "Right... breathe. O.k. what do I need? Shoes, clothes, robes, and... um... what else...." Turning around to see what else she might need, Skie did a 360 to find what her brain was farting about. "TIMOTHY!" She cried finally remembering her handy dandy broomstick. Running to grab him as she rushed out of the room, Skie looked down at her shoes and came to aan amazing realization. They were on the wrong feet. Sighing, Skie bent down and put her shoes on their respective feet and wondered of she would ever be able to do something correctly.

Looking up into air-land Skie saw a bludger speeding towards Dragon. "Uh-Oh.... I was really late! There are peoples hitting bludgers at other peoples and I'm not even in the air yet! Better get up there..." Skie mounted her broom and shot up into the air like a bullet shot from a rifle pointing to the sun. "Good morning Mr. Bludger! Timothy and I have a problem with you trying to hit Dragon. You know that's really not nice don't you?" Skie's habit of muttering and talking to inanimate objects would never fail to show its face. "DRAGON! MOVE! BLUDGER! MOVE! NOW!" Short.... yet hopefully it got the point across. Skie was way to far away to do anything at the moment, but then again, common sense never was her forte, so Skie raced after the bludger finally noticing that Katie was going for the quaffle. "Nope! Not happening." she muttered as she chased after the bludger and the other chaser.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Grnipolophygyah..." Rose shook Kate off of her, trying to go back to sleep. She was still quite annoyed from the last Quidditch game, when Hufflepuff was brutally beathen down by Slytherin because no one showed. Well, she couldn't exactly say no one. Kate, the Keeper, and Dani, the Seeker, showed. And of course, Rose ended up fainting when she was most needed.

Rose took a few minutes before getting up, then brushed her teeth and combed her hair. She noticed that most of the others Huffies where up, so she didn't bother to yell at them this earily in the morning. She had had them out on the pitch in there free time and made them work there tails off. Hopefully, the team would all show up in the battle agenst the Gryiffies.

Rose struggled to get dressed, then headed down to the locker room. She grabbed her baby broom, Alma, and her robe. Except her robe wasn't there. "You have got to be kidding me", Rose sighed, then began searching for her black and yellow robe. This was a sick joke to play on a Chaser, right before a game.

Eventually, Rose found it, and hurried onto the pitch. Amy had released the balls exactly 6 minutes and 42 seconds ago. The Chaser hopped onto her broom and took a lap around the pitch, noticing that Skie, Kate, and Dragon where already there.

"Good", Rose smiled, glad that her intinse training had worked. "Let GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Hufflepuff!!!"

(Gryffindor Seeker)

“I don’t want to hold the butterfly!” Pamela shouted. She turned around to run away, but almost immediately afterward, something flew and hit her in the back. Her eyes flying open, it took a moment to register what she was seeing. Trying to catch her breath, she lay there for a bit, staring at the high vaulted ceiling of her dorm. She also tried to shake off the dream she had and hoped, as she often did, that no one would ever have reason find out about her ridiculous fear of butterflies.

When she finally sat up, Pamela took a moment to rack her brain. There was something special about today, but she just couldn’t place what it was. She tried to think if there was an exam in a class, but it was a Saturday, so that was out. Drawing a complete blank, Pamela reached in her school bag for her daily planner.

As did much of her stuff, it showed her support for the Holyhead Harpies, the team she hoped some day to play for. She didn’t have to open it, though. Slapping her forehead—a mistake as now she had a pain in the back and the front—she yelled out, “Quidditch!” Out of habit, she checked her watch which said that it was 8 o’clock. “Oh good, I’m not late,” she said to herself, glancing out the window to confirm that it was in fact morning.

Pamela went ahead and got dressed at her usual pace. She had gotten the memo that there was a spring theme. She had colored her hair last night in her traditional spring colors—deep auburn with blond highlights. She called it Gryffie hair. After getting changed, she put in some dangly earrings that had pink tulips on them and charmed her hair so that it would have tiny artificial flowers woven into it. She glanced again at her watch. When she saw that it still had the same time showing, she remembered that muggle electronics don’t work at Hogwarts. This time she looked at her alarm clock, which showed a much later time.

Grabbing her Firebolt, which she had just gotten back yesterday, she bolted out the door, still trying to put on her right shoe. Suddenly a Charlie horse that had been threatening to show up seized her left calf and she instinctively brought it up to grab it. This left her doing a kind of one-legged shuffle-hop which, naturally, produced the result of her falling for the second time this morning.

After many struggles and strange looks, Pamela made it to the locker room. She vaguely registered that the locker room was decorated quite elaborately. The only reason for this was that she started sneezing from the number of flowers in the enclosed space. She got out of there quickly.

When she went out to the pitch, she automatically closed her eyes against the blinding light. Slowly she opened them so they could adjust to the sunlight. Mounting her broom, she saw she was face to face with one of her greatest fears. “Butterflies!” she cried out taking off like a bat out of, well she was flying very fast slightly erratically in a sort of Butterfly Escape Dance.

(Believe it or not, the butterfly thing was planned long before the spring theme was. And I hope it's not too long.)

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

'Ahh, they're all after me.' she mentally yelled when she saw Cris yell maddly from below, June and Aliza shooting bludgers at her like there's no tomorrow and Katie was eyeing her like how a hawk will look at it's prey. Dragon narrowing ducked out of June's bludger by performing a lopsided 'Badger Roll' where she rolled to the side to avoid it. Unfortuantely with Cris still yelling crazily she slipped a bit and almost lost her balance.

Steadying herself she looked at the quaffle and breathed a sigh of relief, it was still in her grasp. "Rose, Skie! Help!" She yelled to her fellow chaser just before Aliza's bludger came crashing towards her. "HEEELPP!" she yelled and tried to move her broom to the side, this time the Badger Roll made her crash into Cris and WHAM she saw little quaffle balls dancing before her eyes.

It seemed like eternity until she shook herself out of her daze and glanced around. Dragon had fallen from her own broom...and landed on Katie's broom tail! Glacing fearfully at the other chaser, she clutched the quaffle (which was surprisingly still in her grasp) and watched her broom go down down down. Poor broom, she hoped that Etta may buy her a new one out of pity or something.

But there were more important matters than brooms right now...since she was now sharing one with Katie. Now what would the Gryffie Chaser do...?

(Gryffindor seeker)

After a moment, Pamela calmed down. She had never been able to explain it, but for some reason she'd been afraid of butterflies for as long as she could remember. She was also afraid of windchimes. Both of these fears generally made people look at her as if she had either grown an extra head or had no soul--depending on how much they liked butterflies and windchimes.

Pamela decided it would probably be a good idea to do her job, so she began a manuever that she had come up with the night before, the Rose Petal Path. She hadn't practiced it yet, but it realy was not a very complicated manuever, even if it may look complicated to the untrained eye.

Basically, the manuever consisted of her starting in the center of the pitch and making what would probably look at first like random circling. She had come up with a charm that would release a pink vapour from her broom tail that wouldn't cause any impediment for the other players, but would be noticeable from the stands. What she was doing was circling the pitch in a fairly efficient way to look for the snitch and at the same time, creating a cool effect for the fans.

By the time she was done, she had not yet found the snitch. Releasing the charm from her broom tail--she didn't want to go overboard--Pamela resumed the same flight pattern, all the while looking around for the snitch. She knew she should watch out for bludgers, but for some reason, no one seemed to target her, so she was beginning to become a bit over-confident.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Oh angels, demons and beings of the pits... Dragon, what have you done?" One second, Skie was looking at the other chaser being attacked by TWO crazy bludgers sent by the ever-so-kind, insert cough here, Gryffie beaters, and then she was sharing a broom with another chaser. "I don't think you're supposed to share a broom, Dragon!" Skie cried, somewhere between tearing laughter and worry... in other words, Skie sounded like she was going through hysterics. Wondering what to do, Skie turned just in time to see Kate send an extra Firebolt in Dragon's direction. "Must not drool over broom," Skie muttered under her breath. "It's not that I don't love you Timothy... it's just that... well..." Skie's voice trailed off as she spoke absentmindedly to her broom. Looking past Dragon and hoping that she would catch the broom that was heading towards her, Skie zoomed past the Firebolt to the place under which Katie was flying with Dragon clinging to the tail of her broom. "Hey Dragon, do you wanna pass me the quaffle?" Skie yelled. "Kate sent a broom in your direction so heads up!" Watching as the broom grew nearer and nearer to Dragon, Skie hoped that Dragon would catch the Firebolt before she and the broom had a collision. It would be such a shame to lose the chance to ride such a pretty broom. "Sorry Timmy, it's not your fault... I'm just fickle."

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie sighed as Dragon managed to aviod the first the bludger. Feeling rather doomed, Katie didn't see the next bludger coming straight at them. Katie dropped lower to avoid the collison and to her surprize, she didn't hear one. Stunned, she looked up, absolutley astonsihed to see Dragon without a broom falling fast.. and she was right on top of Katie. The gryffie chaser closed her eyes fearing the worse, and sure enough she felt ehr broom plummet a few feet, but then the fall stopped. She opened her eyes to see Dragon's broom whiz by and turned on her seat to see Dragon there. Panic struck, both of the chasers were on one broom. A broom that was slowly losing height. Katie angles the broom upwards, to try and reverse the damage. She felt Dragon grip her sides and Katie called, "Hang on tight!" The incline was steep but they weren't making much progress. Even though both girls were relatively small, tey were no match for the broom.

Luckily, Kate seemed to notic their trouble and aimed the Firebolt straight at Dragon and Katie. Unfortunatly, Dragon seemed shell-shocked and didn't even make an attempt to catch the broom. Katie leaned over to catch the broom and handed it to Dragon - who still had the quaffle. This was an interesting game.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Quaffle, quaffle, quaffle, quaffle..." Skie's mind was focused on only one thing as she sent good karma towards Dragon, willing her to get the quaffle into a safe position. "Quaffle, quaffle... BLUDGER! NO!!!!!!!" In Skie's good karma sending frenzy, Skie had forgotten about June, scourge of the skies when armed with a bat and bludger. Skie turned to see how far the bludger was from impact, only about 2 feet, and in a split second realized that even if she was to duck out of the way of the cursed bludger of doom, she would still sustain some sort of injury and it might be on her arms or hands, which she would need for the game. Standing in absolute stillness as the bludger closed in on its last foot, Skie waited for the crash. At the angle and speed at which the bludger was coming at... it would hurt, but with any luck nothing would be severely broken. As the bludger hit, Skie concentrated on relaxing all her muscles, besides her hands of course, thinking of absorbing the impact as much as possible.

CRASH! Skie felt the impact of the bludger hitting her broom before she heard the crack of iron on shin. Feeling the shudder and rippled of her broom Skie couldn't help but look down to see how fast they were falling. That's a long way down and we're falling fast... too fast. As the dizzyness overcame her (fear of heights is never helpful- unless you want an adrenaline rush) Skie leaned forward until BAM! she hit herself on the wood of her broom. Waking up from her dizzy spin, Skie realized that maybe a good, sharp hit on the head does do you good occasionally. "Gods, that hurt," She muttered between clenched teeth, angling herself upward to regain lost altitude. Noticing what had happened in her free-fall, Skie realized that Dragon now had the Firebolt and Katie was helping her get on. "Dude, this is such a weird day!" She said to no one in particular.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose had no time to think as Dragon yelled out, then a colage of noise shifted about, and the next thing the fellow chaser was sitting on someone else's broom. Rose sighed, glad that Dragon was okay. And she still had the Quaffle.

But before she could relax, Rose noticed that there was a bludger flying towards them, and looking closer she noticed that it was heading towards Skie. Rose tapped her friend on the shoulder.

"Um, Skie? I think I should take the Quaffle from Dragon, you have a Bludger to handle."

But the nasty ball was coming at her faster than she thought, and before she new it, the bludger crashed right into Skie's broom. Rose felt her spine tighten from the wretched sound. "SKIE!"

Rose looked around, noticing her friend falling, Timothy all damaged. Rose dived, forgetting about Dragon and the Quaffle, and she held her hand out to Skie. "GRAB IT OR DIE!", she yelled, panicing.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Erm... Rose... I'm fine. The bludger just gave me a scare and um tried to murder me, but I'm okay now. Thanks anyway, though." Skie looked at Rose who was just slightly, flipping out. "So, ready to go help Dragon out? Last one to her is a doxie's butt!" Skie cried, hoping to lighten the mood. Without turning back to Rose, Skie zoomed after Dragon who was still sitting, stunned, on her broom. For sure, Skie didn't want to be a doxie's butt, they were nasty little buggers. Enjoying, just a little (for who can enjoy anything when you're on the lookout for things as dangerous as bludgers, beaters, and bludgers and beaters are lurking around every open spot) the brisk spring wind, Skie felt free from all obligation. Soon, school would be out for the summer, but who would want to leave? At least there would be some break from the endless monotony of school day after school day filled with work. Wait, what was that? Skie, being the scatterbrained person that she was, had let the wonderful obliviousness of spring get to her and now Dragon was behind her! She had passed up her target. "Aw.. dang!" Skie yelled indignantly spinning to fly back towards Dragon.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"HA! I- REACHED- DRAGON- BEFORE- YOU- whew...." Skie wheezed as she flew to a stop next to Dragon. "Jeez... ha! You're a doxie butt!" Skie cried, spinning in circles on her broom like the maniacal five year old she was at heart. "Hee-hee! Hey Dragon! You good?" Skie called to her fellow chaser, all joking put aside. "I think that as far as moves go, the 'Badger Hammock' (see Huffie move forum) looks fun right about now! Don't you agree?" Skie said softly, just in case an Gryffie chaser leaned an ear in too close. "All we need now is... well, it doesn't look as if we need anything but the quaffle and some speed!" Skie's happy mood was spreading as she grinned ear to ear in a goofy manner. Wait? Am I smiling? I must have hit my head REALLY hard... oh well! Skie thought. "Mr. Quafflie are you ready?" She said happily.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Hammock..hm, yeah that.." Dragon muttered and trailed off, her head was still spinning from all that had happened. Grabbing her broom she hugged it gently and vow never to part from it again - well at least when she was flying above ground. She leaned over to where Rose and Skie were in a huddle and tossed Skie the quaffle. "Um..let me get my 'Huffie Quidditch Book' out, I've seem to forgotten the move.." she muttered and thumbed through her dogeared pages and arrive at the spot. "Let's see, Aha! I know now..wait what's that word? Hm..I think I smudged it after I feel alseep on it and drooled." she said aimlessly to herself.

"How about you two do the move, it only requires two people," she told them, "I'll be around looking out for bludgers, and clearing my head." she added after an after thought. As she floated away, she waved to Katie in thanks and shook her head to clear it, "What a day," she muttered, "Usually these games get crazy after Etta and Streams arrives, not before."

{hufflepuff seeker}

::dani skipped onto the pitch her broom in hand, when she saw that the game was already in motion her lips formed her favorite words "Oh drat, oh drat, oh drat!"

She hopped on her broom glad that her role wasn't required until the end of the game, when she caught the snitch. She laughed silently at the irony of the thought and surfed the underside of the low hanging clouds looking for the snitch.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Hello Dani." Dragon called from her mind boggling position - hanging upside down on the hoops. It wasn't that much of a drag hanging there. Her current position just made her face red as a tomato and made her think for clearly. Dragon always had done her best thinking updside down. Waving at Dani, she flip flopped back up and swung herself back on her broom. Scanning the field, she spotted Skie and Rose still planning the Huffie Hammock. Hm..if they were going to score, than she'd have to distract the nasty beaters with the evil bludgers, so they won't interfere. Zooming up, she spotted June and waved brightly. "Hello! How's your day. Mine was horrible. Well.. not horrible horrible, just a little bit horrible with the whole land on Katie's broom thingy going on. Ooh are you participatin in HEBB@2? I got assigned this box task thing and I was stuck in that darn thing for 4 hours!" Dragon yelled and suddenly got a bit hysterical. "4 hours!" she yelled again, "Can you believe it? And I asked for plasma tv for help! How stupid am I?" she bellowed in June's ear as she got worked up in her rant. Her friends had often reminded her to not eat too much sugar cookies before games, but she never listens..

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

Kate felt a wash of relief rush over her as Dragon got her Firebolt. Phew. Now lets just hope that Firey (the old broom) doesn't get smashed to smithereens. I hope not. She thought.

"Hey Skie! Are you OK?" Kate called as she saw a bludger hit her fellow team member.

"Oh Hi Dani!" She called as the Hufflepuff seeker arrived on the pitch.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

As Pamela was flying around the pitch, looking for her tiny golden friend, she noticed that things were getting a bit interesting. Bludgers were flying, players were falling, and brooms were zooming onto the pitch, seemingly of their own accord. She was grateful that thus far her own Firebolt had remained intact for this game. It had not been cheap to have it repaired; you would think that these things would have a better warranty considering the risk they are put under.

After a while, Pamela began to float off into her own world. She was almost on auto-pilot, because she had yet to see the other teams seeker. Flying past another figure in black and yellow, Pamela said absentmindedly, "Hiya, Dani." She continued to fly past for a second, but then came to an abrupt stop and turned around to face Dani. "Wait, when did you get here?" Pamela asked.

Hmm...time to get things started.

Pamela looked over Dani's left shoulder then said, "see ya!" and took of back the way she had come, flying as quickly as she could. Dani didn't know it, but Pamela was hoping to attempt a feint she called Sparrow in the Wind.

Once she was several feet away from Dani she veered suddenly to her left, then back to her right. Basically she was all over the place but in a rather small perimeter. Her hope was that Dani would follow her and try to grab the snitch first. Once Dani got nearly there, Pamela would complete the remainder of the move.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Whoopsie daisies!" Skie exclaimed as Aliza sent a nasty little bugger of a bludger hurtling towards Kate. "Kate MOVE NOW!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, though she doubted Kate would hear her. Skie winced for her teammate, but realized that there was no way she could score a goal and save Kate at the same time. "KEEP MOVING KATE!" Skie tried one last time to get Kate to avoid the bludger, and then put her concentration to getting the quaffle into the hoops on the Gryffie side. Looking over at Dragon, Skie saw that her face was red and she looked as if she was chatting animatedly with June. Ah, Dragon and sugar cookies, what a bea-ut-iful combination, the perfect balance of insanity and sugar-high. Turning her attention to the other chaser, Skie said, "Rose... ROSE! WAKE UP!" Rose was staring with a vacant expression in the general direction of well... the sky. "O.k. Rose, my idea is that we get about 3/4 of the way to the pitch and then preform the Huffle Hammock. On your marks, get set, go!" Skie didn't wait for Rose to reply, in the game of quidditch, every last second was critical, and every moment wasted was a score for the other team. Holding tightly to the scarlet ball, Skie raced to try and be the first to the point where they were to meet up. "Can you keep up?" Skie screamed in the general direction behind her with an exhilerated laugh.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Skie began yelling in Rose's ear, and the poor girl almost fell off her broom. "What?!", she snorted, before her friend took off towards the Gryffindor goals. "Skie, you are such a pain..." She glanced over at Kate, who by now probally herd her teammates cry, and would do the Badger Drop or something to avoid being beaten by the bludger.

Rose darted after Skie, ready to pull off the Huffle Hammock. It didn't take long for them to reach the 3/4 of the pitch, where they would atempt there move. "Ok, ready Skie!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"NEVER JUNEY! NEVER!" SKie yelped when she saw June's devil spawn bludger hurtling towards her at top speed. "The quaffle shall never be harmed by your evil bludgers of DOOM!" Skie's love of drama and over reacting was ever so magnified by a good mood and slight highness due to not getting enough oxygen from forgetting to breath. "I mock you and your bludger, and your bat! Ha! Eeeep!" Skie's 'contempt' for the bludger was cut short by the fact that in order to keep even being able to breathe or talk, she would have to move out of the bludger's path. Diving to the left, Skie looked over at Rose. "Rose, you better get ready!" Skie cried as she prepared to preform the Huffle Hammock.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose sighed at Skie's dramaticness (if thats even a word) and clapped her hands together.

"I'm ready Skie, just say when!"

But then Rose noticed that the bludger was aimming for her. "GYAH! Skie, what do I dooooo?"

(Huffie Chaser)

"MOVE!" Dragon yelled at Rose and stopped in mid rant about the time she visited her grandma and flew over speedy quick to where Rose was. Grabbing the girl's broom and hauled it with all her might and yelled in a mock war cry, "Huzzah Huffie." she wildely shouted and then ducked and rolled when the bludger came shooting towards her. Glaring at the evil bludger and beater alike she gave them her most imitating glare like the one she saw in a scary movie. But alas, she had not perfect it and it probably looked like she was about to cry to had just ate something horrible.

Shielding her eyes, she glanced to where Skie was and saw that Rose was in place with the other chaser for the fantastic 'Huffie Hammock' "Ready or not, just move it." she half yelled and half screeched and turned towards June in her second attempt to make the beater deaf.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose herd Dragon yell, then she was shoved to the side with an 'umph'. Shaking her head Rose glanced back at her teammate, who dodged the bludger in time.

"THANK YOUUUU DRAGON!!!" Rose smiled happily, then turned to face Skie, unawear that a bludger was comming right up under them. "She's right, we need to shoot, now. By the way, is this a good time to tell you I'm going out with Jamoki, that Slytherin I was talking about?"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

“This is no time for gossiping ladies. We’re not at a tea party, sipping sugary drinks, we are in the middle of a terrible war in which June has sent a bludger in our direction. Now… MOVE! AH! RUN- I mean fly- FOR YOU LIVES! Oh, and are you ready to perform the Huffie Hammock?” Skie hardly took a breath that whole long speech (well, it was long for her… Skie prefers things where she doesn’t have to say an awful lot) and was now slightly purple in the face. Moving away from June’s bludger, now that the warning was out, Skie cupped her arms in a hammock-ish like manner and waited for someone to help her fly it over to the goalpost. Clutching the qauffle tightly in her arms, Skie stopped, suddenly, thinking about something that Rose had said to Dragon. “Wait… you have a BOYFRIEND and you didn’t tell me? Oh… you are in SO much trouble when this game is over. Not even beaters with bats and bludgers can protect you after this game. YOU ARE DEAD ROSE! By the way is he cute?” Skie was utterly outraged, but temper would have to wait. Squeezing the quaffle tightly and sending dark (but lovingly dark) thoughts in Rose’s way, Skie waited for the first score of the game to be made by the one and only Huffie Hammock.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

::Dani looked over her shoulder looking for the snitch that Pam was chasing after but could see nothing, she chuckled at the feint move then looked close to the ground next to the Gryffindor's gold hoops, was it her imagination, or was some of the gold moving? Dani followed Pam's swerving and realized that the seeker was actually headed towards the goals!

Spinning around Dani didn't follow Pam, but made a beeline for the gold bugger.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Come on guys, Huffie Hammock, make the score. Huff-le-puff." she chanted and waved her arms widely as the two other chaser's personally cheerleader. "Whoo!" she yelled and pumped her fist in the air. "Go Skie, go Rose." she yelled and added for good measure, "You go girl." to Rose who seemed to have just unveiled her boyfriend. "Go easy on her Skie."

With that, flew over to under the 2 chasers just in case the Hammock went wrong (which will never happen since Hufflpuff Chasers have precise moves and is very careful with everything -if you ignore her own landing on other team's broom incident) and yelled. "GO GO HUFFLEPUFF!!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Skie held her arms steady with the quaffle nestled into her, ready to be released into the Gryffie goal. “Dragon, there is no way I’m going easy on her!” Skie cried, and with that, Skie held her breath as she began to swing her arms in a rocking chair motion. Clutching Rose’s hands tightly so that there was no chance of the quaffle even thinking about falling, Skie called out “3…. 2…. 1…. HUFFIE HAMMOCK!” Watching, as the quaffle soared into the air and hopefully soon into the Gryffie goal post, Skie reminded herself to breathe, as for some reason, the oxygen was just NOT wanting to come in. “HUFFIES FOR THE WIN!” Skie screamed at the top of her lungs. Flying over to where there were a few Hufflepuffs in the stands, Skie directed a spirited wave. “GO- GO- HUFFLEPUFF! BADGERS FOR THE SCORE!” There was nothing like team spirit to make that adrenaline rush come.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose blushed as fipped over and the bludger brushed agenst her hair. That had been very close. Now, with Dragon behind them, Rose and Skie cupped the Quaffle between there hands and, counting down, lunged the red ball towards the Gyrffindor goals. "Thats so going in", Rose said happily, then turned back to her fellow chasers. They where now arguing about Rose and her BF.

"Thanks", she said to Dragon, who had congradulated her. Skie was obviously not in such a great mood. "Skie, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but it was, um, official since last night. After the whole thing with Trevor leaving and us probally never seeing eachother again..." Rose felt her cheeks flush. "He's two years older than me, and really sweet."

{Hufflepuff Seeker}

::Dani did a barrel roll around a bludger and glanced quickly at Pam, who was looking over her shoulder to see if Dani was following her. Giving a small smile, Dani reached her hand out for the snitch and almost caught it. She snapped her fingers out of habit and followed the gold demon.

Closing the gap quickly Dani streached her hand out and felt the wings beating against her hand.

"Yes!" She screamed punching the air. "Yes! Haha! Hufflepuff, hufflepuff!"

She'd caught the snitch
