12th House Quidditch: GRYFFINDOR V HUFFLEPUFF: 2nd - 6th

Jimmy ignored the belligerent Gryffindors, rolling his eyes and muttering about how that's the last time he supports the lions as he carried on commentating on the game.

"Now we have WaterLily hitting a bludger towards the Hufflepuff hoops. It seems to distract Dancing, who is unable to stop Prinny from scoring. Another ten for the Gryffindors, which, as Prinny so kindly pointed out, makes the score 50-30 in favour of Hufflepuff."

He shifted in his chair, making sure that old boot was still securely by his feet feet as he felt some of the Gryffindors in the stands glare at him.

"And now it finally seems as if this game is picking up some momentum. Hi there Amy, nice of you to join us, and Gryffindor are at full strength. It seems two of the Lions' chases are conferring as the Quaffle is knocked about, and yes, Prinny and Amy seem to be flying towards the posts in a standard tennis chaser play. They're knocking the ball back and forth so that the Hufflepuff beaters won't be able to focus on any one of them. This defensive play was made famous for offensive use in the 1643 International match between France and England, where the French team retained possession for an entire game due to their flawless tennis of the Quaffle. To this day it remains one of the most decried long-term tactics in Quidditch history, but it's a must-learn for short term offenses. It seems the Gryffindor training regimen is paying off, and Amy puts the Quaffle through the hoop again. 50-40 to the Badgers, and Gryffindor are closing down on them. And yes, thank you Prinny, I can do my job, but you still have a long way to go, especially since Ginny's back in the game! And WOW! What a bludger from WaterLily! It hits the Quaffle which soars through the open hoop. 50-50 and the game is even between Gryffindor, who are making a phenomenal comback, and Hufflepuff, who seem to be on the defensive."

"Distracted by her impulse to shout at commentators rather than focus on the game, Prinny gets tackled in a lovely move by the Hufflepuff chaser, who soars unchallenged to the hoops. But a superbly hit bludger from Amber deflects the Quaffle from the target - I believe that's one of Marie's favoured moves too - and WaterLily lashes out with a vicious retaliation against Ginny."

"And now Jenn picks up the Quaffle and appears to be trying for a Huff-a-Boo play, one of my favourite plays of the Badgers. The chasers will fly around and under each other with enormous speed - similar to Ravenclaw's beater defences - in order to protect each other simultaneously from bludger or chaser attacks. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have worked this time, although it looked very impressive, as Traci slams into Jenn, knocking the Quaffle from her hands. She's soaring towards the Hufflepuff goals, and SHOOTING! But no! An excellent block from Keeper Dancing there, and Traci leaves empty handed. The score remains Hufflepuff 50 - Gryffindor 50."

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn winced as Traci slammed into her to stop their play. Having the wind knocked out of her for a moment, she took several deep breaths as she rubbed the ache on her side. Sitting upright again, Jenn looked up and caught the quaffle as Dancing threw it at her.::

"I swear that was a skinning foul," Jenn muttered to herself as she ducked to narrowly miss a bludger aimed straight at her. She flew toward the Gryffindor pitches in a swift zigzagging motion of the Woollongong Shimmy to avoid various players and bludgers.::

::Flying around the hoops quickly, Jenn unexpectedly jerked her broom down and flew under the goal hoop. Stretching up with the tips of her fingers, she lightly tipped the quaffle over her head and into the center goal. Jenn bit her lip as the move strained her aching side a bit.::

"Well, at least I made a goal." She thought happily as she flew her broom to the center once more.::

Amy watched as Jenn scored a goal, and frowned.

darn hufflepuff's she thought, and knew that she had to match the goal.

She flew around to catch the Quaffle as it fell from the goalpost, and then zoomed off towards the other end of the pitch, hoping that she'd be able to score.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn spotted Amy with the quaffle and kicked up her heels to intercept her before she scored a goal. Flying in circles around Amy, she tried to catch an opening to grab the quaffle. Jenn held back a smile as she realized she probably resembled a large annoying fly hovering around Amy and getting into her way.::

::Spotting a bludger aimed at them, Jenn was forced to perform the Sloth Grip Roll and break away from Amy a bit. 'I wonder if that bludger was supposed to be for me or Amy?' She thought to herself with a shrug of her shoulders as she struggled to catch up to Amy once more.::

Amy glanced behind her and saw Jenn close behind her. She lay closer to her broom and put on a burst of speed.

She wasn't going to let the hufflepuff take the Quaffle!

She hurried towards the goalposts, and just as Jenn was catching up, threw towards the goalposts. It looked like it was going to miss, but thankfully it just soared through.

"Yes!" she said, triumphantly turning to smile at Jenn.

::grinning at amy prinny grabbed the quaffle. desperatley trying to think of some new manouevers she turned to amy::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn groaned as her attempt at intercepting the quaffle was unsuccessful. Shivering from the cold, she huddled tightly to the broomstick and flew toward Prinny. Jenn caught up to Prinnt with the quaffle under her arm, and took advantage of the fact that she was looking at Amy.::

::Swooping over Prinny, Jenn pried the quaffle from her arms and jerked her broomstick around to head in the Gryffindor goals direction.::
