Holiday Match: C.E.L.F. V The HE Scrooges - 29th - 31st

(HE SCROOGES CHASER)

::Etta stepped onto the pitched and looked at the list for the opposing team, with a laugh she jumped onto her broom kicked off and flew straight into air, taking the Quaffle with her.::

"You snooze you lose," she laughed as she sent the Quaffle through the left goal.::

Marie walked on the pitch, moaning and groaning as she had her arms wrapped around her stomach. Then she sighed and hopped on her broom, kicking the ground and going flying in the air.

"Come on Ettie, give me that ball and let's get over with this match, those cramps are killing me!" she said.

Nancy bounded onto the field happily! She was uber excited to be playing this game with some of her closest friends form HE! House unity was going to be a great thing in this match! She no longer had to fear Lily, Jenn and Jimmy as they were now her allies!

She walked into the middle of the field. She could hear the screams and yells for her in the stands. But this time it was not just the Slytherins cheering for her it was all of HE. She mounted her firebolt and dashed into the crisp clear sky anxiously awaiting the arrival of her bloved teammates!

((HE SCROOGES CHASER))

::Etta smiled at Marie and paced the Quaffle to her.::

"Hey wanna do a SneakaRoo?" she asked with a grin::

(HE Scrooges Chaser)

"Sure thing sweetie," she said with a grin.

She tucked the quaffle safely under her arm and flew toward the goals as fast as she could. When she was about 20 feet from it, she quickly passed it to Etta, smiling.

"Hey Nancy!" Jessie called as she ran onto the pitch. She quickly mounted her broom and darted upwords towards her team-mate. "What?! They started without us!?" She said when she saw Etta shoot the quaffle throw the ring. "Nancy!" A little help?" She asked, nodding to a bludger on her left.

((HE Scrooges Chaser))

::Etta grinned \and held on tiight to the quaffle, with Marie flying to her right they flew to the goals and....::

"DO IT!" She shouted at Marie

(HE Scrooges Chaser)

Marie grinned when Etta threw the quaffle at her and turned expertedly to her left, sending it through the middle hoop and cheering when it went through. Then she went back to Etta and high fived her.

"Nice move dear," she said, smiling.

((HE Scrooges Chaser))

::Etta grinned and caught the quaffle as it was thrown back into play. Flying hard and fast Etta flew straight to the Goals again, just as she approached she skidded to a halt and through the quaffle over her shoulder to the waiting Marie::

Nancy saw Jessie fly onto the field. She heard her ask for help and was on it! She spotted Etta with the quaffle and was ready for action. She grabbed her bat from underneath her robes and she darted twards the ground and picked up a bludger. She pulled her broom up fast and headed in Etta's direction. She tossed the bludger into the air and swung her bat with all of her might aiming for Etta. The bludger was whacked hard and fast and she saw it hit the edge of Etta's broom.

Marie caught the quaffle, tucked it under her arm and flew to the farthest goal post. As she was inches away from it, the quaffle slipped from her grip and she swore under her breath.

"No!" she cried.

But then she quickly turned upside down, hanging from the broom and only holding onto it with her legs, catching the quaffle with the tip of her fingers before it went too far down. She looked up at the hoop which was at a merely higher level then her and took a deep breath, throwing it in and grinning when it went through, though barely. Then she looked at Etta.

"Erm.. a little help?" she asked, looking down.

((HE Scrooges Chaser))

::Etta saw the bludger coming for the tail of her broom, she waited for it to hit before batting it back to Nancy hard, hitting the beater in the shoulder with the bludger::

"Im not a Badger for nothing you know!" She yelled with a laugh a she helped Marie.::

(HE Scrooges Chaser)

"Nice Etta, but now help me!!!" she cried as she felt her legs slipping from around the broom.

(C.E.L.F Chaser)

Jessie zoomed after the quaffle as it was thrown back in play. "Yes." She said to herself as she caught. it. "Thanks Nancy!" Jessie called as she zoomed towards the other goal posts.

"Where are my fellow chasers?!" She thought as she soared down the field. "Oh darn, no HE Scrooge keeper." She said as she tossed the quaffle with ease threw the middle hoop.

"Are you ok, Nancy?!" Jessie asked, soaring down to her team mate to see if she was alright.

((HE Scrooges Chaser))

::Etta quickly moved in and caught the quaffle as it came back into play, racing to the other goal.

"alliiiooooooopppppp!" she cried as the quaffle soared through the left goal.::

Marie smiled and caught the quaffle as it was sent back into play, though since the CELF keeper apparently had a very strong arm she had to go to the middle of the pitch to do that. Looking around, wishing for some more teammates to get on, she sighed and flew slowly toward the hoops as if she was enjoying a quiet walk - or flight in that case. Then she swiftly threw the quaffle to Etta.

::Etta did a half summersalt in the air and kicked the quaffle with the end of her broom sending it through the middle goal::

"Whoohoooo!"

Nancy was hit hard in the shoulder by Etta's fast move. "Should have seen that coming!" She yelled to herself. "5 minutes into the game and already I am in pain!" She rubbed her shoulder hard. She grabbed onto the bludger and held it for a moment.This was bad but she was A Slytherin and would not let a little pain hurt her. She looked around the field and saw Lily was coming. She had discussed plans with her and her other teammates in practice and gave Lily the C.E.L.F. sigh they had made up for a certain play. She grabbed the bludger and belted it twards Lily.

Luckily enough Marie turned around just in time to see the bludger heading her way and fell flat on her broom, avoiding it from merely inches and sighing in relief when she saw it heading away.

She then caught the Quaffle which Etta threw at her, sighing as her cramps got worse but they were not bad enough to keep her from playing though. She did a few circles in the air, looking around and gaining time and maybe making some other people than herself feel dizzy, who knows.

Then as Etta was flying toward her and for the second time since the begining of the game, though this time was intentional, she let go of her broom and found herself hanging upside down from her broom once again, holding the quaffle firmly with her two hands.

"Blood in my head, hurry!" she cried.

((HE Scrooges))

::Etta nodded, rushed forwards and grabbed the Quaffle, throwing it into the goals and scoreing yet again.::

(CELF CHaser)

::Jenn hopped onto her broom and glanced around for her teammates. Spotting the quaffle being thrown, she leaned low on her broomstick and jerked her broom down to catch the falling ball. Gripping it with her fingertips, she managed to grab hold it of it before it hit the ground.::

::Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she looked at Jessie and made a subtle half nod. Leaning low on her broomstick once more, she spun around and quickly flw toward the right goal post where the keeper was. Right before she made impact, she tossed the quaffle over her shoulder and jerked her broomstick upwards, distracting the keeper from anything else.::

Jessie saw Jenn's half nod and returned it. As Jenn tossed the quaffle over her shoulder she quickly darted off in the direction it was heading, swiftly catching it. Without hesitation she tossed it threw the left ring while Jenn distracted the keeper. "That's what I call team work!" She said as she flew over to her fellow chaser and gave a high five.

Nancy spotted Etta with the quaffle. "Payback time!" She screamed to her teammates. She grabbed a bludger and pelted it hard at Etta hitting her hard in the leg.

(C.E.L.F. Chaser)

Jessie saw Nancy hit the bludger at Etta. "Be ready!" She said to Jenn. With that she soared over to Etta and, while she was occupied with her leg, grabbed the quaffle. She quickly zoomed across the field with the quaffle tucked safley under her arm. "Jenn! Catch!" She shouted as she tossed the quaffle to her team mate.

Nancy cheered as Lily did her spectacular beater move. "Very nice!" She screamed to Lily. She noticed Jessie had possesion of the quaffle and tossed it to Jenn. Nancy darted after her Jenn and Jessie with her bat at the ready. She was going to protect her best friends at all costs. She grabbed a bludger that was flying in mid-air along the way. She looked to her left and saw Lily was flying twards the C.E.L.F. chasers as well. She nodded her head to Lily and then twards Jenn. She threw the bludger high into the air and smaked it over to Lily who was close to Jenn.

(CELF Chaser)

::Jenn wrapped her left leg up on top of her broom and pushed herself up until she was kneeling on the broom. She leaned up and caught the quaffle before it sailed over her head. Tucking it between her arms, she gripped her broomstick and swerved her body weight to the left to avoid various chasers. Gliding toward the goals, she flew in circles and zig zags to ward off various players and bludgers as she waited for the right moment to score.::

::Spotting the clear goals provided so nicely by Lily and Nancy, Jenn tossed the quaffle into the air and jerked her broom to the left to 'kick' it into the center goal with a loud swish. This maybe her trademark move but she supposed Ginny wouldn't mind her using it out here. As long as it was on the field!::

"Nice score, Jenn!" Jessie shouted as her team mate scored a goal. But her attention quickly shifted to the quaffle that was being tossed back into play. She noticed that the quaffle was going to soar just below her broom. Jessie wrapped her legs tightly around her broom and alowed herself to slip off so she was dangling by her feet as she caught the ball. As quickly as she could she swung herself upright again and darted off towards the goals. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a bludger hit by the other teams beater flying her way. "Jenn!" She shouted as she tossed her the ball to avoid dropping it upon impact. Just as the quaffle left her hands the bludger made a sharp contact with her left arm.

::Jenn heard Jessie's voice ans swooped forward to catch thge fallen quaffle as the bludger hit Jessie. Grimacing to herself, she waited for Jessie's nod to assure she was alright before continueing the game. Glancing around, she spotted many players near the other end of the field. Knowing the only way to barricade through them was with Nancy's help. Dreading the move that she knew was coming, Jenn flew toward Nancy and nodded.::

Jessie grabbed her arm as the bludger hit it. It hurt like heck, but thats taking one for team! She gave Jenn a reashuring nod to let her know she was ok. She looked over at Nancy and smiled as she waited for the play she knew was coming.

(C.E.L.F. Beater)

Nancy cheered on her broom excitedly as Jenn had scored for their team, but then she saw Jessie was hurt. "You OK?" She called out to her. She had to think of a plan and fast. Jenn would need help. She saw Jenn's nod and knew what she had to do! She flew quickly over to her teammate Jenn and whispered, "Brace yourself" Into her ear.

Nancy swung her broom around and got behind Jenn. She grabbed onto the back of Jenn's broom and began to swing her around as fast as she could. Faster and faster she swung her until she became dizzy. She aimed Jenn twards the Scrooges goalpost and let her go.

(CELF Chaser)

::Jenn squeezed her eyes tightly as she was swung in circles by Nancy. 'Thank goodness I didn't eat much breakfast this morning,' she thought to herself with a sigh of relief. As Nancy let her go and Jenn was flung toward the oposing team's goalposts with lighting speed, she peeled her eyes open to wait for the right moment. As she spotted the goalposts coming nearer and nearer, Jenn suddenly let go of her broomstick and gripped it with her tights. Flipping upsidedown, she tossed the quaffle into the right hoop and reached up to grab her broomstick. Lifting herself up in time before colliding with the goalpost, Jenn held on tightly as she felt the metal goals breeze past her hair.::

::Swinging her broomstick back around to the center of the field, Jenn gave a relieved smile and shook her head to rid herself of her dizziness.::

Jessie gave a small laugh at their crazy play, but hey, it worked didn't it? By now her arm was feeling much better. After shaking her arm out she noticed the quaffle was being thrown back into play. She saw that it was just above her reach and slowly brought up each leg so she was crouching on the broom, still in mid-air. Just before the quaffle could pass over her head she stood up like she was surfing and caught the quaffle. "It pays off to live in california!" She said as she tucked the quaffle under her arm and sat back down on the broom, speeding off towards the goals.

::Swift ran to the pitch, bleary eyed and barely awake.... who the heck thought of starting the game when I'm asleep?? Must have been Lily... drat her sister. Up in the air, a lot was going on, and Swift could barely see Lily, her bat in her hand. Smirking, she lifted herself up from the ground. Revenge is mine...

She spotted a Bludger on the CELF's side of the pitch, heading towards it, until she saw Jessie headed towards the HE S.'s goals. With the tip of her bat, she knocked the Bludger towards her, spun around, and started to dribble it towards the Slytherin, urging her broom on; it was no easy task, trying to out-fly a Slytherin.

When she was within whacking distance, Swift took the chance. She jumped up onto her broom, and crouched low, sending the Bludger flying as she used her body weight to hit it towards Jessie. It did look like a dead hit, but Swift wasn't going to stay and watch; all she knew was that that Quaffle was not going to go into those goalposts any time soon.::

(HE Scrooges Keeper)

::Disgruntled that the game had started when most of her team were asleep, Amy flew onto the pitch and assumed her position by the goalposts.

Quickly making an assessment of the game, she glanced towards the scoreboard, but it was too far away to make any sort of sense. Shrugging, she focussed on the game, watching as Lisa hit a bludger towards Jessie. Turning away before she saw any sort of impact - she was not a fan of broken bones and blood - Amy looked for the rest of her team.

Etta and Marie were doing some sort of complicated Chaser move, and it didn't appear as though Aliza had arrived yet.

Well that's what you get for having the game start when half of us are asleep She thought, glaring at no one in particular.

Not having much else to do until CELF decided to send the Quaffle her way, she continued to circle the goalposts, but never taking her eye from the red ball.::

(HE scrooges keeper)

::Amy was still watching the pitch when she saw a small kafuffle on the ground below her. She glanced down, and saw someone with a purple broom stumble onto the pitch and lose her broom and wand before getting up and staggering around a bit.

Looks like that one's out on a day pass She thought, before gasping and realising that it was, in fact, Elfie Dumbledore, their one and only esteemed headmistress.

Sweeping her gaze around the pitch, and not seeing the Quaffle anywhere near her, she glanced back at Elfie, who was now flying in circles, as though drunk, towards her CELF teammates.

Well this should be interesting Amy thought, and continued to watch.

(CELF Chaser)

As the wind blew faster and harder, the elf's broomstick spun out of control, hitting her into several other people on broomsticks. A small quaffle shaped ball flying high into the air in front of her - well at least I am chasing now - grinning slightly, she turned her head around just in time to see what was in front of her. Her eyes widened as her broom buckled and threw her towards the hoops, a small dinging sound echoing around the pitch - oh oh - suddenly she found herself stuck inside the middle hoop - her big elf ears flapping in the wind as her legs dangled in mid air. She was stuck!

"AAAAAAAAAAMYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Swift grinned at her captain, dropping a quick salute to her as she flew past in an attempt to catch up with the Bludger that was flying around near the ground. As she caught up with it, she twisted her body and broom around, so that her back was facing the ground, and scanned the sky for her dearest elder raven-like sister. Okay, so she's not so raven-like.... but she's a Raven, Swift thought to herself, spotting the said Raven near the CELF goalposts.

"BIG SIS!!!!!!!!!!!" She shouted upwards, grinning as her sister turned to look at her. With the Bludger carefully balanced on the edge of her bat, Swift flew upwards, going to tacklehuggle Lily.

Which is what she did. A very sisterly one, at that.

The impact of the tacklehuggle sent the two spinning, and Swift used the momentum to fly off in the same direction she was going, before lightly hitting the Bludger that way as well. She sped after it, getting behind it, then smirked.

"I love you, sis, but sorry," she murmured. As she sent the Bludger, hard, towards her sister, she winced. That was gong to hurt.

:Etta caught the quaffle after having been attacked by two burly looking children, she blinked and yawned as she realised it was CELF Beaters. Her eyes widedened as she watched a woman on a purple broom fly into the goals and get stuck. Etta flew over so that she was standing in front of the opposing Chaser.

"Seriously, after everyone she could pick, why did Lily pick you?" She asked the woman who now appeared to be sleeping in the goal.

At that moment Etta's attention was drawn to her little sister, Swifty who had knocked Lily down to the ground with a mixture of sisterly love and Beater Tactics.

Yawning, Etta pushed her broom away so she could shoot the Quaffle and scored probably the worlds most laziest goal with just a simple flick of her wrist.::

(CELF Beater)

Nancy watched as Elfie entered the field and then flew out of control on her broom. She steadied herself after all the dizziness she felt from helping her teammate Jenn do her spectacular move. She started to fly twards Elfie to see what was wrong and then gasped as Elfie had somehow gotten herself stuck in one of the goalpost hoops. "Elfie!" She screamed and darted after her.
Nancy flew to the post that Elfie was stuck in and then looked back to see Etta with the quaffle. She sighed. Etta could be dealt with later, her teammate was in trouble and that is what mattered most at the time.
Nancy steadied her broom and gripped in tightly between her legs. She reached over to Elfie and began tugging on her waist in fast jerking motions to try to free her. "How did this happen Elfie?" Nancy asked as she strained to try to free her friend. She tugged and pulled several times and then finally Elfie was free. "You OK?" Nancy asked. Seeing she was ok Nancy swung her broom around and chased after a bludger that was in the air. She flew along side it and positioned herself so she could aim it at Etta. She gave the bludger a mighty whack with her beaters bat and sent the bludger hurtling tward Etta. She watched as the bludger hit Etta on the arm.

::Etta who couldnt care less if she was hit on the arm by bludger, caught the quaffle as it was thrown into play and shot towards the CELF goals. Doing a quick figure eight in the air Etta scored again with much ease.

"How manys that now then?" she asked the invisable commentater.

Wincing even more as the Bludger hit Etta's arm, Swift gasped as Nancy freed Elfie from the confines of the goalpost. The HE Scrooges couldn't have that!

"Revenge sure is sweet today," she whistled, grinning once again.

Swift flew against the wind, pushing herself away from Nancy, who was still talking to Elfie. A Bludger was speeding towards the Slytherin from behind Swift, the wind making its path much easier.

Little more power should do it, Swift thought. She flew behind the black ball, and closed one eye, taking aim at the CELF robes. Bringing her arm back, she belted the Bludger at Nancy, who seemed to notice it at the last moment. The wind provided the force that was needed - the Slytherin went spinning off the pitch, and... Oh darn. Oops. Swift chuckled, flying back into the game.

The Whomping Willow is her friend. Hahahahahaha!

::Etta applauded her little sister as she watch Nancy hit the whomping Willow.

i must thank Lily for putting me on Swifty's team she though as she jumped up from her broom and caught the quaffle once again, taking her time, Etta whizzed in and out of the few players which were on the pitch, pausing only to shake hands with her fellow team mates.

"Gooooooaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllll!" Etta laughed as she threw the quaffle in the air and flicked it into the left goal post.:

::prinny rushed on to trhe pitch looking flustered. the game was going fast and she was late. jumping on to her broom she pushed off into the air. being a beater was new to her so as a bludger came flying toward her she hit it with all her strength and watched as it went flying toward on of the C.E.L.F chasers::

"hey guys sorry i'm late" ::she said and flew off in search of more bludgers::

::Etta saluted Prinny as she joined the team on the pitch. Catching the quaffle again she flew directly towards the CELF goals. As she flew she felt the quaffle fall from her arms, letting go of her broom, Etta swubg around until she was hanging upside down and just managed to regain the Quaffle a quick swoop and scoop, spinning herself back into the right postion Etta flung the Quaffle hard and watched as it sailed proudly through the centre goal.::

Nancy was hit by the bludger when she wasn't looking. "AAAHHHHH!!!" She screamed as she was falling off her broom twards the whomping willow. She needed someone to help her and quick! As she was sailing twards the deadly tree she screamed to her fellow teammates. "Someone catch me quick!" Down and down she fell and she waiting and prayed another member of her beloved team would rescue her. "Lily! Jenn! My Amigas HELP!!!!!"
