Will You Try to Avoid Spoilers?

In the run up to the release of DH, there will be a lot of spoilers going around the fandom, and the media.

When that time comes, will you try to avoid them, or will you fall upon them like a hungry man would a table of food?

For me, I will at all costs try and avoid them, which I realise on HE might be quite difficult, because as a mod I might have to help cover up where other people have left spoilers.

Before the release of HBP, I was a member at another site, and a lot of the members there went into 'exile'. They left the fandom from the time the release date was announced until HBP came out, so that they wouldn't be spoiled. Their only communication was through a yahoo group. I don't think I would be able to do anything like that this time - HE is too addictive!

Then there are the people who actively seek out the spoilers, who want to know whether or not Harry lives or dies, or if he gets back with Ginny so they know what to expect when they read the book.

Which person are you? Will you try and avoid them at all costs, or go on a hunt for spoilers that will rival Harry's hunt for the Horcruxes?

I doubt I will go into "exile" but I wont want to know all the spoilers. I think that when spoilers come out I will proably read them becasue they wont be anything major at all. They wont tell us who dies, who lives, or if Hinny or Harmony is the right one. Spoilers are more pronounced and they give away more in the movies

I won't want to be spoiled at all - not even on the tiniest detail. I think that who lives and who dies can get out - I remember in the run up to OotP several newspapers 'had it on good authority' that it was Sirius who died, and they were right, so I want to try and avoid all spoilers!

anyway, I won't actively hunt for spoilers, but I won't go into exile either, and I think that if I heard there was a real spoiler somewhere I wouldn't be able to resist it...but half of those 'spoilers' are just rumors anyway.

No, I'll avoid them, it alsom means not coming onto the site until I finish DH.
As hard as it may sound...*glares at Elfie for making the site addictive* but, I'll stry and IF I do happen to come one (hehe) which I probably will then I'll stay away from any topics that might have spoilers!

I just wanted to say that when I do get the book which will proably be at a realease party, i will not read the papers, I will not go on mugglenet, leaky or here until I am done, which might take two days becasue I want to enjoy it, to savor it, and I dont want it to be spoiled by fast readers.

I will try to avoid spoilers. i want to read it myself!

i will resist temptation : P and not go after spoilers. It will ruin the book for me if I read the spoilers

hmmm. interesting thought. as for myself, due to my personality, i will geta hols on any info and try to conclude the end. However, i would had not like no exact detail for example. I knew Dumbledore would die, but i didnt wanna know who till i read it myself.

I wil try, but I don't think I will be able to. As I put in the other thread about what you'll do on release night, I have to go to work on that day, and as I work in a cafe opposite a bookshop, it'll be hard to avoid them!

well im not going to go running after spoilers but i do think if theres a spoiler bit on HE i might be tempted but i will try and advoid them.

I will avoid spoilers - I wont want to ruin it. I'll also avoid my sister as I know she will read it before me and want to tell me all sorts of things

Okay I'm joking, I will be in total and extrem exile! And that's cuz i can't resist spoilers if i know there's one i can't resist read it, so EXILE!!!!

I avoid any types of spoilers until I have finished reading the book. This ultimately means that I won't go online to Mugglenet or Leaky Cauldron maybe even this site (Hogwarts Expierence) as to not hear anything that will spoil it.

My sisters know not to bother me on the day of release since I confine myself inside my room. I give them a warning the day before. lol
