SEMI FINALS: Match Two

Raistlin looked at its Oaksahft79 and touched it ~Sorry buddy. Tonight i'll need speed more than the resistance you provide me~

He grabbed, instead, his mate Jesse's Firebolt which had been very ok with him using it.

Riastlin left the SLytherin Quidditch Locker Room and inhaled the air. He had not got rid of his Andromda's chains yet which he had casted in the previous round. Duels we're happening more frequently now, not letting him rest properly. But the chains'd be very helpful in the upcoming combat. The right chain with the ball in the edge would secure him to the broom and free both of its hands. Besides the left with an arrow would warn him the minute an enemy got near him.

He flew to the place where the duel'd happen. The night was chilly and cloudy ~VIsion will be a problem~ "Искателя Жары Тела (Body Heat Sensers in Russian)!". Now he'd be albe to see if anyone was hiding behind or inside a cloud.

There was moonlight so Raistlin decided to take advantage of that pointing the wand to himself he shouted "Μεταμφίεση σκιών σεληνόφωτου (Moonlight Shadow Disguise in Greek)!". He wasn't invisible but he blended with the current environment very well.

He decided to give himself one last protection. Pointing the wand to Antaris Scorpion's constelation brightest start he shouted "Scorpion Oberteil (Scorpion Shell in German)!" a light came down from Antaris and hit Raistlin turning his skin as resistence as a scorpion shell protecting him form minor jinxes then.

Nancy strolled out into the clean crisp night air. It was very dark out and it was very hard to see in front of her. She had her firebolt gripped tightly in her right hand and her wand in her left. She walked slowly onto the middle of the field and looked up above her into the night. This is where she was told to come for this round of the duels. Nancy was quite excited about this round. Not only did she love dueling but she also loved flying as well. They were both her favorite things to do. Her husband, Jesse had accompanied her on the walk out onto the field. She kissed him softly and whispered, "wish me luck." She flashed him a smile and turned away from him to focus on her task before her.

Nancy pointed her wand at herself and muttered, "hawkus visinious" (hawk vision). Her vision was now ten times better than it was before. She could see very clearly infront of her dark surroundings. She then mounted her firebolt and slowly flew into the night sky. The moon was full and shone brightly in the darkness. As she soared higher into the night she briefly turned her head around and set her eyes on the Hogwarts castle. She could see it illuminated by the moonlight. It's beauty almost took her breath away. She turned her head back around and continued her flight back towards her destination.

Nancy reached what she thought was a high enough altitude and quietly looked around. She could not see anyone here yet. Either they had not arrived and she was the first or there were others here that she could not see. As she hovered on her broom she again pointed her wand at herself and whispered, "firius de Phoenixada" (Fire of the phoenix) A soft orange glow wrapped around her body and gave her warmth from the crisp winter's air. This would also serve as a great protection for her. The heat from the phoenix fire would disolve any spell casted at her.

She flew up a bit higher. She would want to be hidden from others to be able to plan a surprise attack. She flew up into a very thick cloud and pointed her wand towards it and sang in a chant like voice;

"Envelop me oh cloud of the sky
make me one with you
envelop me oh cloud of the sky
shield me within your form
envelop me oh cloud of the sky
embrace me with your powers"

Nancy watched as the cloud began to swirl around her. She could feel it's power envelop her. It wrapped and twined itself around her shielding her from view. She could see through her thick cloud cover thanks to the spell she casted on herself earlier to improve her vision. She sat quietly and waited for any signs of her opponents. Her wand pointed straight forward and her eyes focused on her surroundings.

Lifey looked around her, feeling the familiar sensations of wind whipping through her body as she flew throug the dark sky. Cloudy sky, perfect for hiding!

Casting an illusment charm over her body, Lifey was satisfied with how her body looked transparent, completely matching the backround of dark clouds.

Lifey shuddered and felt her fingers feel numb from the chill night air. Waving her wand around her, she muttered an ancient spell that would warm her and sharpen her reflexes. Not feeling completely safe dueling thousands of feet in the air, Lifey conjured a magical binding between herself and her broom, so if she was hit, of if someone tried to knock her off, she would still stay flying and could not crash.

Circling around the beatiful sight of Hogwarts at Night, Lifey stifled a yawn. It wouldn't do to be yawning during a duel!!!

Closing her eyes and holding her wand Lifey muttered "coffius similarus" (like coffee) and she felt a caffiene rush overtake her. This augmented her reflexes and kept her awake!

Seeing a dark shape looming a head of her, Lifey, still unseen by the illusionment charm, ducked behind the cloud cover. she saw it was Nancy. Carefully, and with the Slytherin unaware of her presence, Lifey flew from cloud to cloud until she flew directly behind her.

Using a lightening fast quidditch roll, Lifey spun her broom around nancy going up and over her and under her again and again in a twisted spiraling sloth grip roll, all the while jinxing Nancy using nonverbal spells so that her voice would not be recognized.

"sproutius plantius!" (sprout plants!) and biting geraniums burst from Nancy's body, biting her and trying to eat her.

"immobilus!" She yelled and Nancy was frozen in one posistion, but the plants kept knawing.

"aquae!" (water!) she finished, Dowsing Nancy in chillingly freezing water.

"confuddlment!" (confuse?) she added, and also implanted a memory of Raisty attacking in Nancy's Memory.

Flying off before Nancy could identify her, Lifey ducked behind more cloud cover, satisfied that Nancy still could not see her, or even tell who had attacked her.

Raistlin saw Snapey approaching. She didn’t seem to have noticed him. That gave him and idea. She had just cast a shining spell on her and he got quietly near her. His left chain made a move as he got near her. Raistlin hold his breath. When he was only some inches distance snapey started to be attacked. Raistlin draw away and watched while attacks kept on coming to her. From the attacks Raistlin recognized lifey style.

So another dueler had stepped into action but was invisible. Luckly for Raistlin his Andromeda’s chains weren’t deceive by concealing charms. His left chains pointed in the direction were his other silence dueler, lifey, was. Raistlin approached her very silently. When his chain was very agitated he gave a push in the direction it was poiting. He felt a weight being knocked of its broom.

Raistlin pointed to where he knew lifey was falling and cast the spell “PESO MORTO (Dead Weight in Portuguese)!” and that fastened them fall. Lifey was fast approaching the ground and Raistlin thought ~She’ll make it, she’ll break free ~As he saw that wasn’t happen he threw his right chain to catch her.

He placed her on her broom but after a moment due to the weight caused by his spell her broom broke and she began to fall again. Raistlin caught her again but this time placed her in the ground.

He dove with his broom and a meter above the ground he encased her “RAÍZES MORTAIS (Deathly Roots in Portuguese)!” a bunch of roots emerged from the ground and surrounded lifey and started to dragging her to the Earth deeps.

Raistlin then focused on Snapey who was freezing and getting bit from some weird plants. Raistlin knew her phoenix charm would eventually warm her but he decided to finish her off before she recovered. He pointed the wand in her direction and shouted “COMBUSTAO DA FÉNIX (Phoenix combustion in Portuguese)" this would case her phoenix spell to be lifted for a minute before returning from its ashes. Now that she was unprotected only for a few moments Raistlin pointed the wand at her and shouted “NUVENS DESORIENTADORAS (Disorienting clouds in Portugese)!” this caused a bunch of clouds to form around her and would follow her whatever she went which would leave her disoriented to where she was when and maybe she’d flew away from the battle air field if she finally got rid of lifey’s attacks.

Raistlin flew around the field, making some loops and quick changes of direction, he was getting bored ~This has to be the worst round ever! I hope my other adversaries aren’t getting more luck than I am.~

Raistlin decided to cast a few more protective spells to see if the judges would give him more points as his adversaries weren’t helping him.

He concluded a broom was too fragile and so decided to have a backup plan. He searched the sky. ~Ah there it is! The Swan constellation.~ He pointed the wand to the constellation and shouted “CISNES PRATEADOS (Silver Swans In Portuguese)" the lines of he constellation got together and formed a swan that unglues himself from the nightly sky and flew in his direction. Almost a hundred other swans did the same. He was now surrounded by all of them, they’d protect him or carry him if he needed.

Raistlin waited for more signs of his enemies.

Holly felt the night wind swirl around her as she walked into the duel. She was a little late, but she would make up for it. It was lovely out and she was happy that the duel was located in the sky. It was so peaceful. She took out her wand from the wand stap on her leg.

"Wingardium Leviosa." she whispered and felt herself levitate into the dark sky. She was going for something different this round. She would use her broom in case of emerengcy. For now, however she wanted to expierement.

As Holly rose closer to the sky she pointed her wand at a cloud "sólido" The cloud turn into a solid. To test it she landed gently and let out a small laugh. It was as soft as a marshmellow! She bounced a little, but felt it become unstable so she stopped. This was a duel - she had to conectrate on the task at hand.

Holly layed out flat on her stomach, gazing over the night sky for any sign of opponents near. She pointed her wand at the next cloud, turing into a solid. Then she whispered, "salto de poder" which allowed her to jump long distances, if she needed. With that done, she jumped over to the next solid cloud and landed softly with a thump.

When she rose to her feet and glanced around, she thought she saw someone fly overhead. Nothing happened, so she shrugged it off.

Maybe I should become transparent She thought and then nodded. It was a plan. She murmured, "transparência". Holly watched her hand fade out and blend into the background. This would definatly be an advantage for her. Now for her opponents...

( i would like to point out that from the last sentence of the second paragraph and down the next two paragraphs of rai's post , basically most of Rai's post iinvolving me falling, couldn't have happened because i had already CLEARLY stated in my first post that

Lifey felt something knock against her broom, very nearly unseating her. She thanked her lucky stars that she had been smart enough to cast a binding spell between herself and her broom so that she remained flying. Ravenclaws were just smart like that.

Just when she thought Rai was going to give up on her and start attacking Nancy, however, THousands of thick roots wound their way around her, trying to throttle her. Not fun at all!

Trying to concentrate as she struggled for breath, Lifey racked her brains for a solution. Of course! Pulling out her wand confidantly Lifey shouted "Plantius Interfectus!" (kill plants) and the plants died and unwound themselves from her body.

Looking up Lifey saw Rai surround himself in a huge flock of swans. She did a double take. Swans? what the Heck? who used pretty little white birds for protection. Shrugging and deciding each to his or her own, Lifey poundered a way to rid the duel of annoying white pompous birds. There seemd too many to simply conjure away, she needed to be more creative.

Waving her wand she cried "netius!" and giant net appeared in the path of Rai and his swans, capturing him as they had no time to swerve and closing in around him. He was stuck! and best of all....

"stupefy!" Lifey cried, satisfied when he hung limp, unconscious.

Holly arrived and Lifey cringed at the though of jinxing her friend and fellow ravenclaw. But a duel is a duel.

Suddenly however Holly vanished!

"what?" Lifey mused allowed, but shook her head realizing that illushment charms and the like were not uncommon, she herself was still under one.

Sneaking up behind Holly on her marshmellow cloud Lifey laughed silently to herself. This would be fun!

"Become a S'more!" (...it means become a s'more in english XD) and the giant marshmellow cloud was surrounded with gooey chocolate and a thick coating of gram cracker crumbs! Yummy!

"hey HollyLolly, hope you don't mind," She said to the girl who was plastered against the marshmellow cloud by the thick chocolate, "But i was hungry" She shrugged and grabbed a sticky handful of marshmellow, chocolate, and gram crackers.
