ROUND 1: GROUP 3 : Harryandginnyfan V Snape lover

Mel walked into her second duel, her nerves slightly better as she looked around and realised that she was the first one there.

In her last duel opening, she had worked on the defensive. This time she wanted to test her offensive.

Looking around the room, she smiled. There was so much she could do, yet how to do it.

First, she pointed her wand at herself. There was no harm in creating one defensive spell

"verschwinden Sie" (Vanish in German) Now hopefully Harryandginnyfan wouldn't realise she was there on entering.

She looked around the room. There was only one entrance for H&Gfan to enter.

"Kleber" (Glue in german) she muttered, her wand pointed at the door entrance. That should stop H&Gfan in their tracks!

Looking at her watch she wondered whether she had time to sit and eat her sandwiches, yet she didn't know how good H&Gfan was and so figured that it was better to be safe than sorry

Rick walked up to the door and tried to open it to walk in, only to find that the door wouldn't budge. He took a look at it and tried to figure out what it was that was keeping it from opening.

"Alohomora," he said before trying the door again, and finding it still stuck. His ire instantly raised, he cast a disillusionment charm on himself and stood in front of the door. Gripping his wand hard in his hand, he stepped back about ten feet and prepared to enter the room. What he was doing was risky, and he had to time it perfectly in order to maintain his safety.

Training his wand on the middle of the door, he tried to focus on just the door. Not any part of the surrounding walls or floor, just the door. Once he felt confident in his focus, he shouted "Patlama!" and in quick succession, "Protego!"

The door exploded in every different direction, sending shards of wood into the walls surrounding Rick. Fortunately for him, his shield had been strong enough to withstand the explosion. His wand in front of him, he walked into the room and said, "Astrum Luminarium" and watched as the room was instantly bathed in bright sunlight. As the spell blinded Mel and allowed him to see, he walked further into the room and stopped when he couldn't find her. He silently thanked himself for keeping the disillusionment charm on himself as he walked around the room, trying to think of a spell to reveal Mel's whereabouts.

So, for the spells, Patlama is Turkish for explosion and Astrum Luminarium is Latin for Star Light. Patlama is self-explanatory, while Astrum Luminarium's effects are lighting an area, while blinding everyone but the castor temporarily. The blinding dissipates in a few moments.\\\\
