Elladora strained her ears, listening for the reason of this strange phenomenon. 'Something... anything.' Elladora thought patiently. 'Light!'

"Lumos!" Elladora said, extracting her wand. She felt the tip of her wand flicker, but fade fast in the dark. 'Flargate! Elladora thought loudly, wondering whether the noise had given her away.

Frustrated, Elladora summoned her bag and took out a firework from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. She ignited it manually and let it loose. In an uproar, the loud noises blared through the grounds and the lake lit up in an explosion of color, illuminating the floor. Elladora tried Vanishing it to create more light and looked around in the multi-colored madness for everyone.

'Dorothy, Torren, Emmalynn... Where's Shadow?' Elladora looked around to find a black wolf chasing after a white one. Quickly, Elladora morphed into her Animagus form of a fox and went after them.

Dorothy lay by the lake side, staring up at the Weasly's fireworks. The light was soothing, and it helped her to see. Dorothy sat up and looked around. She could see three animals loping away, and torren. Dorothy sprinted after the three animals, hoping that torren would be allright.

"Where are they going?" Dorothy cursed as she tripped and fell. The three animals were way ahead, so Dorothy abandoned the chase.

As she got to her feet, she said: "Hi! I'm Dorothy. I was chasing them because I just wanted to see where they'd go." She dusted down her robes, and said "What's your name?"

Wolf-Shadow headed off Transk, leading him back to the others.

As a fox, Elladora stopped short of the wolves and noted they were coming back. She sighed and waited for them to near her.

Shadow and Transk passed by Elladora and on towards Torren and Dorothy.

Elladora reverted to her human form and walked back over to the rest of the group.

Emmalynn had been frozen to the spot due to memories of her fathers beatings on her, and her face had lost almost all color. She shook her head when she no longer felt the cold, but she was still soaked through from the lake water and started to shiver, completely forgetting that she had magic. Images of her father's rage were still racing through her mind...

Elladora walked over to Emmalynn, evidently having a problem confronting the darkness. She noted that her friend's clothes were still wet and flicked her wand at them to dry them warmly.

Emmalynn felt her clothes dry, and looked up to see her friend. Ella, why does daddy hit me? she thought, still caught in her memories.

Elladora bit her lip. She honestly didn't understand either. The human mind was, after all, a variant factor that could change rapidly in a matter of seconds. After a few seconds of random formulas creating themselves in her mind, she thought, 'He just has no other way to get to you. He is uncertain of why you left causing him a greater pain.'

But Ella, it hurts... Make it stop Ella! Make him stop hitting me, please! Emmalynn was hardly aware of what she was thinking. She no longer had an idea of what was actually happening and what was just a memory.

Elladora was panicked by Emmalynn's outrage of emotional thoughts. Quickly, she raced over to her and put her hand on her forehead. Unfortunately, she couldn't control her mind, but by using Legilimens and her Seeing she could alter what thoughts Emmalynn was having.

Emmalynn flinched back from Elladora's hand, thinking it was her father there to hit her. But slowly, her thoughts faded from her father to her friends. All her good memories were flooding back to her mind. She smiled, and fainted, falling face-down on the ground. Too many memories...

Elladora quickly acted and caught Emmalynn before she hit the ground. She picked her up and carried her over to the nearby Birch. She lay down Emmalynn and placed her book bag under her head then she brought over Emmalynn's rabes to place over her. Elladora sighed.

Emmalynn was hardly aware she was being moved as her dreams were gliding away from memories of her father.

Elladora put up a spell aroung Emmalynn so she wouldn't be bothered by any unwanted presence.

Shadow sensed that Emmalynn was in trouble and made her way over to her, followed by Transk. The two wolves lay down as close to her as possible, almost like a air of guard dogs.

Emmalynn groaned in her sleep. She was waking up, but she didn't remember ever going to sleep in the first place... She rolled over and her cheek brushed against soft... fur? She opened one eye to see the fur of Wolf-Shadow in front of her, and fell back to sleep.

Wolf-Shadow looked at Emmalynn as she woke up, but went back to sleep again. She watched the girl for a bit before putting her head down on her paws.

Dorothy sat down carefully next to the group and got lost in her thoughts, reminiscing about past times with her parents. She sighed. Thinking about them was still painful. She looked over at Emmalynn sleeping.

Wolf-Shadow raised her head as Dorothy sat down next them. She howled quietly in greeting.

Wolf-Shadow sensed the sadness radiating from Dorothy and wagged her tail, hoping to say that everything will be ok now.

Emmalynn slowly opened her eyes and tried to sit up. Her head started spinning and she fell back down. "What happened?" she mumbled.

Wolf Shadow used a paw to pin Emmalynn's shoulder's to the ground. Her eyes said clearly 'Don't bother'.

Emmalynn nodded, but transformed into her Animagus form, a snow tiger, and curled up into a ball.

Wolf Shadow took hr paw off Emmalynn's shoulder and turned to watch the water in the lake.

Dorothy smiled. She was past all that now, so she felt she should enjoy the here and now.

Shadow sighed, turning her gaze towards Transk, who had fallen asleep. He was a fine wolf, and Shadow felt
strange when she was around him.

Emmalynn had laid down, but she had not gone back to sleep. She was really confused about what had happened to her. Shadow? Can you hear me? she thought to her friend. She wasn't sure if it would work, but she tried anyway.

Emmalynn curled up some more and fell asleep.

"Oh sorry he said I didn't mean to walk into you" he said gazinging into her eyes as he lifted his books from the ground, "I'm in a little world of my own today" he continued.

Shadow raised a wolfish eyebrow before putting her head back on her paws. She still kept a wary eye on Jamie though.

Shadow heard the message and stood up, changing into her human form.
