torren looked over at transk and shadow. and then let herself fall asleep as she lay against the tree. then all of a sudden CRASH! torren jumped up to her feet. she looked around to see what was going on.

Shadow jumped, leaping to her feet, so did Transk. Shadow morphed back to human form.
"What on Synairn was that?!"

"Holy Crapoly! What on earth - ? What was - ?" Dorothy stuttered, jumping to her feet and whipping out her wand.

torren looked to her left a small cat-like creature had fallen out of the tree, but it had the tail and mane of a lion and it's coat was spotted. torren starred in utter amazement, she then looked at shadow, "that little thing made that huge noise?" she asked puzzled. it was wagging its tail angrily, but still purring, torren coaxed it over to her and picked it up, it certainly didn't weigh more than a house cat. then the nose came again CRASH! "what the bloody tarnations is going on?" she wondered alloud now looking up for a culprit.

Shadow (who had morphed again) and Transk were sniffing the air, and listening hard in an attempt to locate the origin of the crack.

torren was stil looking up. there was something up there in the tree branches. she put the little cat creature down and started to climb up the tree to investigate, but as she climbed there was a CRASH! and she was shaken off the tree. she feel and hit her head on a rock near the tree. "ouch," she yelleped rubbing her head. the... kneazle, yes that's what the cat thing was, torren thought, thinking back to her fantastic beasts book. she shook her head, back to what was preasently going on, "what in the bloody name of merlin is making that tree shake?"

Shadow morphed back to human form. Walking over to Torren, she kneeled down beside her. Stretching out a hand, she surrounded Torren's head in a blue mist, healing what ever injury had been there. Once she had finished, she turned to the tree, quickly climbing up.

torren watched her climb up the tree, "be careful, that's where it-" CRASH! the, whatever it was that was shaking the tree, shook it again, maybe that's where the kneazle was, when the tree was suddenly shaken. torren looked at the tree still puzzled.

Shadow started to fall, but grabbed onto a branch, stopping her fall.
"I think it's the tree itself that's shaking..." She said, dropping to the ground

What is it? Dorothy wondered. "Well, whatever it is, it doesn't seem to - " She was interrupted when the tree shook again. CRASH!

"the tree shaking itself? but why, it's never done that before?" CRASH! "i-ouch," something fell out of the tree on top of torren temporarily knocking her out.

Shadow looked at the tree.
"I think we have another Whomping Willow on the grounds," She said.

"O-kay! Well, isn't there -" CRASH! "a way to stop it?" Dorothy noticed torren on the floor and dragged her out of range of the tree's deadly branches.

Shadow put one hand on Torren's forehead, sending her magic into the girl to revive her.
"There is, but I don't know what it is."

torren woke up. "whomping willow?" she asked puzzled, "well on the original one, the first one-" CRASH! "there's a knot on it somewhere near the base that you can push and it subdues the tree."

"Good luck trying to find it." She said, but changed into a wolf and began to run around the tree, looking for anything that might work.

"Yes, but that was made so that Lupin could get away as a werewolf through the tree... but there could be one on this one" Dorothy pondered.

Elladora quickly transformed into her Animagus form of a fox, at the attempt to stop the Whomping Willow. She swiftly went across the field and circled the base of the tree, pressing the knot that froze it with her snout. As the tree froze, Elladora returned to her regular form and smiled.

"That could've been dangerous," Elladora said.

Emmalynn, who had fallen into the lake in shock after the first crash, pulled herself out of the murky water. Her mood had gone from relaxed to don't-mess-with-me-I'm-mad. She sat herself down a safe distance from the damnable tree and rung out her robes a bit. She then remembered she could just use magic, and searched her robes for her wand. After frantically searching every pocet of her clothes, and not finding it, she swore loudy and shed her robe. Emmalynn then walked to the edge of the lake and tried to find it without getting wet.... It didn't looklike that was gonna happen, so she sighed and dove into the water. The lake water was dark, but her vision was decent enough to find her wand... or at least she thought it was. She came up for air and swore again.

"Ella! Can you lend me a hand? The lake stole my wand!" she yelled to her friend on the bank.

"here, let me help," torren said spotting the poor disgruntled girl, "you're name's emmalynn right?" torren thought she'd seen the girl somewhere before. "accio emmalyn's wand." torren said standing at the edge of the lake. the girls wand flew into torren's other hand. "here you go," she said handing the girl her wand, "my names torren, by the way." she introduced herself.

Wolf-Shadow's eye twitched in annoyance as Elladora and Dorothy said that she was 'adorable', but refrained from turning back to human form to curse them and also from bitting them. Instead, she curled up next to Transk.

torren smiled at shadow as she laid down next to transk, "i'm sorry that you don't like being called adorable." she said, still smiling at her friend, "a friend of mine always told me that she liked hearing that she was adorable, because her mom used to call her adorable and that meant that she cared about her. maybe you just need to find the right person to call you adorable."she said and scratched behind both wolf-shadow and transk's ears. then the kneazle came and curled up in torren's lap. torren smiled and stopped petting transk and shadow and picked up the kneazle, it was so cute, "i think i'll name you baby." she said petting the kneazle. baby purred in torren's arms.

Wolf-Shadow looked at Torren, smiling her wolf smile that only her best friends got to see. Transk pout his paw over hers and they both gazed at each other.

Shadow sighed, putting her head on her paws. Transk put his head on hers in a sort of wolfish hug. Both plumy tails were wagging slightly.
"You don't know how right you are." She thought happily.

torren smiled at this. baby was purring still curled in her arms, torren sighed. she opened her eyes and looked out over the lake. a beautiful day spent with friends, nothing could be more worthwhile. "it's so peaceful," torren said for the first time that day she felt relaxed. "this is the calm i've been waiting for." baby mewed at her.

just then torren got a chill and she sat up a little. baby sat up a little too, and she sniffed the air. torren took out her wand and looked around.

torren backed away from the tree. baby arched his back and hissed. torren felt it, but she couldn't see it. "she shot a spell hoping to hit what ever it was. it seemed like it was getting dark, torren could barely a few feet in front of her.

Shadow shook her head, agreeing with Dorothy. It hadn't smelt right, and Shadow could tell that Transk had thought the same.

"shadow," torren yelled, she couldn't see anything, "transk, baby, dorothy, anyone?" torren yelled for help desperately throughout the darkness.

Shadow howled, unsure of what this pitch black was. She then realised that no one would be able to see her anyway. Pitch black wolf in complete darkness... She howled again, knowing that it was the best way to alert someone.

"shadow!" torren screamed feeling around in the dark. she couldn't see, she couldn't smell anything, could barely feel, and her hearing was growing ever fainter, all of her senses were failing her one by one. torren started to shake in fear.

torren thought something had brushed pasted her, "shadow?" she nervously hoped that it was shadow, or one of her other friends because if it wasn't there was no telling what it could be.

Shadow heard her name and turned back, managing to see Torren in the gloom. She morphed back into her human form.

"Torren! Shadow!" Dorothy was scared. It was as if someone had put a velvet blindfold over her eyes. And yet, her other senses grew stronger. She heard every sound, felt every twig underfoot,and somehow, that made it even more scary. Her energy was draining. She screamed, as she saw here mother and her father's face. She fell to the ground in pain of their memory.

"It's ok, I can sense it to." Shadow tried to locate Dorothy's scent and confirmed Torren's thoughts. "She is close, come on."

"dorothy? dorothy?" torren yelled for her trying to pick up a sense of her. torren felt something brush her leg and then baby's mew echoed in her head. torren almost jumped.

Shadow spotted Transk's white fur and ran off, morphing into a wolf as she went.
