| Here's mine~
~~Finding Strength~~
The air was cool, the weather cloudy and the figure of a boy could be seen; kneeling beside a tombstone. Ever since the war had began, it had beein filled with hardships. Voldemort had crushed the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts was all but left in ruins. The war had begun outside of the ministry and had spread across to the Hogwarts Castle where many witches and wizards had lost their lives. One by one Harry Potter had watched his allies fall until he couldn't stand it anymore. He needed to rejuvinate himself; for his emotions were on overload and his bravery was slowly diminishing. With tears in his eyes and pain in his heart; he had arrived and had fallen to his knees at Lily's grave. "Hello, mum. I came to see you again. It's Mother's Day, you know?" He said quietly; his voice quivering as he placed his muddy, shaky hand upon its cold surface. "I just came to tell you that we're in our last days of battle." He broke off as he let out a loud sob. Memories of the gruesome battlefield were haunting his mind and he shook his head back and forth trying to forget them. A drop of rain suddenly fell down from the sky but he didn't even notice it; for to him, it felt just like another tear.He sniffled loudly and then slowly continued."We've lost a lot from our side; just yesterday the Death Eaters claimed another life. One of my dearest friends. Ron Weasley. I'm trying to do my best but I'm losing my strength and I'm beginning to fall into despair." He removed his glasses and wiped away a tear, then placed them back on again. "I'm beginning to doubt myself, mum. That's why I'm here. I was told that when I was a baby, you had the warmest heart and could bring out the strength in anyone. Your love was a power that no one could touch. And not even Voldemort could destroy it. I've heard stories that you were a very powerful witch and I don't doubt that. After all, you were able to save me." His voice broke off and he sniffled."Sometimes I lay in bed and wish that I would have died that night; just to be with you and dad. But most of the time, I am glad that I survived. And I swear that Voldemort will meet his end. Even if it takes my last breath, I will put an end to his evil once and for all." He looked down at his hand that had curled into a fist and then closed his eyes as he took a deep breath. "It's strange but even in death; I can feel you. You know that I'm here. You know how much I need you. So, please mum, give me the strength to go on." A warm gentle breeze blew past him and he slowly nodded acknowledging it. And slowly a weak smile crossed his face as he felt himself renewed with hope and energy. His green eyes sparkled as he slowly stood up and looked down at the tombstone. "Thank you, mum." He whispered.

| Gah Kitty I was going to do that! LOL
Hmm anyways I found another mother/son relationship
(Also not exactly a Slytherin/Draco fan but anyways…)
“Draco come, your father is waiting” Her narrow eyes looked at her son, not lovingly like her heart said but in anger. Draco looked at the ground a single strand of his blond hair fell out of place across his forehead. He didn’t move and he couldn’t bear to look in his mother’s eyes. He expected her to screech at him and grab him by his arm and pull him out the door. But she walked softly over to him and knelt down, for the first time in his life Draco witnessed a gentle look flicker through her eyes. She pushed the hair back into place and there was a moment of bonding between them then she sighed and said, “Draco I know it is hard but it’s what is planned for us, we cannot displease the Dark Lord, come” Then the bond broke as she stood up and walked out the door without looking at him again. He stood there still looking at the marble floor the looked up at the dressing table by the wall, it had a small chip and then he felt himself immersing in that day; Laughter echoed in the halls as little Draco ran across the marble floor, Narcissa in hot pursuit. Giggling like she was once a young girl she chased him then grabbed him in a hug, which landed them sliding across the floor until they came to a bump into the table. She held her hand over her mouth to muffle the giggling and hugged little Draco tight and kissed him all over his little cheeks. Then the front door snapped shut and they stopped giggling, her young husband stood there looking at them. Narcissa let go of Draco and composed herself from the floor. He gave a curt nod to his study and she followed, winking at Draco on her way. He closed the door quietly then sharply turned towards his wife and said coldly, “I don’t want you and Draco running a mock in our house it’s not respectable, now Narcissa the Dark lord is wanting recruits I have volunteered us both” She let out a hot breath and tried to conceal her shock, though she was a Slytherin she had wanted to turn away from that path at heart. He looked at his cane in his hand and continued, “Tomorrow will be our first mission, Dumbledore ignorant as usual has called upon that Order thing again, we have to kill them one by one we are meeting with Crab and Goyle” She tried not to let out a gasp and nodded then quickly walked out of the room to Draco’s room. He was sitting on his bed, she rushed towards him and hugged him tight, he too would become a murderer like she was becoming now. Narcissa stood by the car, finally her son shuffled out and she felt a rush of love towards him. She walked over to him and clasped her hands on his face and kissed his forehead and whispered, “Draco love is stronger then hate keep that in mind and in your heart” She opened the door and her eyes became narrow and dark again as she said, “Your father will be angry we were meant to meet him twenty minutes ago with the others and the dark lord”. Draco stood there then ran over to his mother, her words etched into his heart and hugged her saying, “ Thankyou mum I love you and if one of us leave this earth I will always remember you” Then his evil grimace took over his face as he stepped into the car. ~~ By YunYun ~~

| Here’s my entry. I hope I made it touching and moving, even though it’s quite a sad situation. I also hope I succeeded in writing the thoughts of a six-year-old.
Bittersweet
Her shoes always made that funny click-clack noise on the floor when they came to the hospital. His shoes didn’t make the click-clack noise, they squeaked on the shiny floor.
His Gran was tall, and the big bird on the top of her hat frightened him. The red handbag she always took with her seemed to contain everything he could ever want. If he was hungry, there’d always be some chocolate in that bag. If he had a runny nose, there were always tissues.
“Come along, Neville, and stop scuffing your shoes!”
His Gran was scary sometimes. But he did as he was told, and walked properly, careful to lift his feet high above the ground to stop the leather scuffing on the floor.
He didn’t like coming to the Hospital, but Gran said that they had to. She told him that even though his Mummy and Daddy were poorly, they still liked to see him. He didn’t understand why his Mummy and Daddy were in hospital. He wished they could live at home with him and Gran.
They were almost there now. Neville knew which room they were going to; it was number ninety-two. His Gran had taught him how to count to one hundred last year.
Gran pushed open the heavy door, and he walked through it, into the big, sunny room. There were his Mummy and Daddy, sitting on the white beds. Neville thought his Mummy was very pretty – she had big blue eyes and long, shiny, yellow hair. Looking at his Daddy always made Neville laugh, because he had a big nose. Sometimes, when his Gran was talking to the lady in the bright green dress, he would climb onto his Daddy’s bed and squeeze his big nose. And then Neville would get scared that his Daddy would wake up from his daydream and be cross with him.
But today, Neville knew they’d really come to see his Mummy. Gran had told him that it was Mothers Day today, and that his Mummy would love it if they took her some flowers. Neville had chosen the pretty red and yellow flowers from the shop.
The lady in the green dress came into the room.
“Good morning, Augusta,” the lady said to his Gran, “How are you?”
“Tired, Mary,” his Gran replied, “Raising a kiddie at my age isn’t easy.”
“Poor little mite,” the lady said, and she looked at Neville, “growing up without his Mum and Dad.”
Neville frowned. What did the lady mean? His Mummy and Daddy were right here. Couldn’t she see them? He ran over to the lady and tugged on the sleeve of her dress.
“Excuse me, but my Mummy and Daddy are here. I’m not growing up without them, can’t you see?”
The lady smiled at him. “Yes, and your Mummy and Daddy love you very much. Now, how about I put these flowers in a vase for your Mummy?”
Neville nodded, and then looked up at his Gran. Her eyes were shiny.
“Why are your eyes shiny, Gran?” he asked, “Are you poorly too?”
His Gran smiled, “No, dear. Now why don’t you go and sit with your Mother for a bit? I need to talk to the Healer about something.”
Neville nodded, and walked slowly over to the bed his Mummy lay in. She was sitting up, resting on a fat pillow, staring outwards. He pushed an orange chair to the side of the bed, and climbed up on it, using it as a way of getting onto the bed.
He sat down next to his Mummy on the white sheet, and touched her arm. She turned and looked at him, her pretty blue eyes staring blankly.
“Hello, Mummy,” he said, “It’s Mothers Day today, and so Gran said we should come and visit. We brought you some pretty flowers, look,” he pointed to the vase on the table next to the bed, but his Mummy didn’t turn and look.
“Okay then, maybe you’ll look when we’re gone. Shall I tell you about what I’ve done this week? Gran took me to the zoo on Monday. I saw lions and tigers and elephants and monkeys and giraffes and penguins and…and…those stripy horses. Gran bought me an ice-lolly and then we went and watched the sea lion show. I think when I grow up I’m going to work at the zoo. What do you think, Mummy?”
His Mummy didn’t say anything, but in his mind, Neville imagined that she’d agreed with him and smiled.
“And guess what Mummy!” he said, his face lighting up with excitement, “When we got back from the zoo, I asked Gran if I could have a pet, and she said maybe I’d get one for my next birthday! Do you know how old I’m going to be when it’s my next birthday, Mummy? I’ll be seven! Gran said I could have a birthday party. I wish you could come to my birthday party, Mummy. Maybe if I ask the lady in the green dress she’ll let you come. And Daddy too.”
Neville liked talking to his Mummy. At home, his Gran didn’t like it if he talked too much, she often said to him ‘Children should be seen and not heard!’ But when he came to visit his Mummy, she never told him off for talking too much.
“I read a book the other day, Mummy, all by myself! It was called Peter and Jane. Maybe next time I’ll bring it so I can read it to you and Daddy. I painted a picture the other day, too. Gran pinned it to the wall in the kitchen. She said that-”
“Neville!” his Gran called his name from outside the door, and he sighed. She never let him stay too long with his Mummy and Daddy.
“Coming Gran!” He called back, and carefully climbed down from the bed and onto the orange chair.
“Goodbye, Mummy. Have a nice Mothers Day. I love you.” He kissed his Mummy’s cheek, and then jumped down from the chair, his shoes squeaking on the shiny floor as he ran towards his Gran.

| Alright - even though this is happy I still can't help but be sad after reading it - because after all we know what happens later on. Anyway this is my take on the first few minutes Harry James Potter came into the world - I hope you all enjoy it!
~*~*~*~
A Day to Remember
There was a silence in the room as Lily’s body began to relax as the cry of her new born baby echoed off the walls of the delivery room in St Mugno’s. Tears escaped her eyes as she heard the cry of her baby. She was a mother – a permanent smile spread across her lips. She felt James’ lips press gently against her forehead as he kissed her. He whispered softly in her ear.
“It’s a boy Lily…”
Her baby boy had come into the world that day. July 31st 1980. More tears of joy escaped as she tried to whip them away from her cheeks. She could hear sounds of the nurses running about the room. Finally a nurse had approached James and handed over a round bundle which he tentatively took in his arms. She watched carefully as a father took a look at his son. The moment passed quickly though as she had the growing urge to hold her son for the first time at that moment.
“James let me see him…”
Lily slowly sat up in the bed and held out her arms for the little bundle wrapped in James’ arms. There was nothing that could describe the look of pride and joy on James’ face. His son had finally arrived – he handed over the baby to Lily and he watched as mother and son were reunited once again. Lily was absolutely beautiful. She might have looked tired after giving birth but there was an aura surrounding her entire being that just radiated. They were a family now – the three of them and nothing would ever separate them ever.
“He’s perfect James.”
“Just like his mum – he’s got your eyes.”
“Yes and it looks like he’ll have your hair James.”
“That it does.”
“He’ll probably end up having your knack for causing trouble.”
“We preferred to call it mischief thank you very much.”
“Whatever helps you sleep at night honey.”
A chuckle escaped there lips – playful banter like this was common between the two.
“You have to admit I was charming back then.”
“Charming? I was thinking more along the lines of nuisance?”
“I am hurt Lily that you would think that about me.”
“You’re just so sensitive James – honestly.”
“And yet you love me enough to bring this bundle of joy into our lives.”
“I’m still trying to figure that bit out.”
The sound of laugher came to an end soon after and a tired smile graced her lips as she gazed down at her newborn baby. He was perfect in every way – wisps of curly brown hair could be seen on the top of his head. And amazing emerald colored eyes peeked through the baby’s tired eyelids. At that very moment Lily promised to always protect her son from any harm. He was so small lying in her arms as she held him closely to her heart. The love in her eyes had a brightness and a sparkle to them that couldn’t be expressed into words. A mother’s love for her son was rare indeed and an unbreakable bond had formed between the two instantaneously.
“What are we going to name him?”
“Harry…my little baby Harry.”
“Hi Harry…I’m your dad and this is your mom.”
“Harry James Potter…welcome to the world.”

| Happy Mother's Day
“Happy mothers day!” Ginny said brightly. She handed her gift and card over and sat down at the Weasley kitchen table.
The past six months had been fairly quiet around the Burrow. She was the only Weasley child who actually lived there now. Fred and George lived above their shop in Diagon Alley, Bill and Charlie was always away on Order business, Percy was still being an arse and Ron was gallivanting around the world with Harry and Hermione. She felt abandoned.
Ginny was quiet as she watched her Mum open her present. She had been planning it for weeks and was very proud of it. She watched her mothers face as she tore of the last bit of wrapping paper. Her mother’s eyes filled with tears as she gazed down at an enormous picture frame.
“Oh, Ginny, it’s brilliant.” She held the gift at arms length to get a better view. “This must have taken you ages.” Mrs. Weasley stood up and went into the living room. Ginny followed.
Mrs Weasley hung the picture above the fireplace and stood back. She burst into tears. Ginny rushed over and hugged her mother. Over her shoulder she could she the sun reflecting in the glass of her gift and she felt tears spring to her own eyes.
Five weeks ago Ginny had started to collect together any pictures she could find of her family, Harry and Hermione. In the centre of the frame was a picture taken from Bill and Fleur’s wedding last summer. It had been taken in the Burrow garden. Everyone looked so happy. Even Harry. There were many pictures surrounding that one. Baby pictures of Ron in a nappy, Percy’s 16th Birthday, the day Mr and Mrs Weasley first met, Hermione and Ron arguing in the kitchen. Happy memories.
Her eyes strayed to the top left hand corner and she saw a picture of her and Harry sitting by the lake from last year. She tore her eyes away form the picture and broke away from her mothers embrace. Mrs Weasley was still crying. There was a moments silence then a loud banging on the kitchen door.
The two Weasley women rushed into the kitchen. Ginny had her wand at the ready and Mrs Weasley stood behind the door.
“Who is it?” she called.
“It is us. Fred and George, your favourite sons.”
“Fred, if it’s really you, what happened when we went to the duck pond when you were three?”
“I got chased by a goose, it ran me into the pond, then George felt left out so he gabbed the goose by its neck and jumped in after me, and in the process, killed the goose.”
“Okay, now George, what was your least favourite childhood toy?”
“The Golly that Grandma brought back from Sweden. That was terrifying.”
Mrs. Weasley opened the door. “Happy mother’s day!” chorused the twins. They handed over their gift and watched as Molly opened it. It turned out to be a new set off dress robes.
“They’re beautiful.” Molly exclaimed, and she pulled the twins into a hug. No sooner had she pulled back there was another knock at the door. The whole security process was repeated and five minutes later Bill and Fleur ambled into the kitchen.
“Just got back from France. We went to see Fleur’s mum,” explained Bill, “And I wanted to see my mum on Mother’s day.” Again, Mrs Weasley found herself opening another present.
The next twenty minutes saw a number of people arriving at The Burrow. Arthur, Remus, Tonks, Charlie, Ron and Hermione.
Mrs. Weasley had just finished greeting everyone, when she realised there was someone missing. She looked around the kitchen and noticed that she wasn’t the only one. Ginny also looked worried.
Ginny walked up to Ron. “Where’s Harry?”
“He’s…uh just coming. He, um had some business to finish.”
She took this as a satisfactory answer and returned to the living room. She sat down and looked up at her mother’s day gift. While looking at that one picture of her and Harry, tears streamed down her face. She didn’t notice her mother enter the room and sit down beside her.
“You miss him don’t you?” Ginny nodded. “Don’t worry dear, when this war’s over everything will be fine. You’ve just got to be patient.” She stroked her hair and handed her only daughter a tissue. They’d only been there for a few minutes, when someone cleared their throat form the doorway.
“Uh, Happy Mother’s day Mrs Weasley.” They both stood up at hearing the familiar voice, and saw Harry.
Mrs. Weasley rushed over and hugged Harry. “Oh Harry dear, I haven’t seen you in ages.”
Harry was silent for a while, then he spoke. “You’ve been so good to me these past six years, and well, I’ve always seen you as a motherly figure to me, and since it’s mothers day, I thought I’d come and see you.” Harry felt Mrs Weasley’s grip tighten, and heard a sob escape from her.
He patted her back in what he hoped was a comforting way. He was now taller than her, so rested his head on top of hers. Over the top of Mrs Weasley Harry saw Ginny still standing there, just looking at him. Her face was intense, and she looked deep into his eyes. He gazed back.
Ginny knew from Harry’s stare that he still loved her. His eyes held a lot of promise, and although she wanted to run up to him and smother him in kisses, she knew that she had to trust her mother’s words. She let a small smile play across her face, and was glad to see that he was smiling back.
Harry pulled back, and Mrs Weasley led them into the kitchen. She looked at all of her presents on the table, and then at everyone in the room. She was so happy to have everyone safe and home in these dark times. She was even more glad to see that Harry had secretly taken Ginny’s hand underneath the table. She smiled as she gazed at her big, happy Weasley family.

| A/N: I have never ever written fluff before. So... try to enjoy it... please?
Luna Lovegood gazed serenely up at the sky, her dreamy eyes staring undisturbed at the white clouds. They drifted along the blue in the breeze, their reflections bouncing clearly in the young Ravenclaw’s eyes. She closed them, a soft blurred image forming in her mind.
“Hello, mother,” she whispered into the air. “I’m in seventh year now, mother. Aren’t you proud of me?” She shifted slightly, a passing dandelion planting itself into her blonde hair. Her eyes opened slowly. “Do you remember? You said that I’d be your grown-up baby when I got to seventh year.” Running her hands through her soft locks, she stood up.
There was nothing that gave her greater pleasure than walking through the Hogwarts gardens. The lake would look unusually calm, and the trees never rustled harshly; it was as if the tree-loving Hypries didn’t exist. There was nothing physical to disturb her thoughts, nothing that could be seen to distract her from her own world.
But there was always something. Whether it was her own thoughts, or another person, something always distracted her.
“Did you know, I’ve always thought that your face was smiling down at me?” She looked up into the vast, blue expanse. “But I was wrong. Your face is still on Earth, in the earth, lying in the soil.” Sighing, her knees met the ground. “Your body lives underneath me, and your spirit lives above. Do you see now? Can you see how far apart you are from me?”
Silent tears fell onto the soft grass. It would be the only time she ever cried. She had never cried before, not since her mother passed away. She didn’t cry when the Slytherins stole from under her nose, she didn’t cry when her father was too ill to work. And now her eyes were red and soaked in her own sadness, crying out eight years of bottled love.
She could still see her mother’s eyes – those kind, sparkling eyes that never failed to brighten up someone’s day. They twinkled at her in her mind, the lips on the same face uttering inaudible words. Why now? Why now, did she have to come when Luna felt her most vulnerable?
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to see her mother. She knew she would see her one day. She even told Harry, that day three years ago, after the whole fiasco in the Ministry. She always saw her mum in her mind’s eye, and Harry should always see that Sirius of his. After all, weren’t they all there, behind the veil? All of them, every single one. The good ones.
“Luna…” The voice in the wind carried itself towards the calm lake. The girl smiled, knowing that there was nothing to cry about, nothing that could ever make her as sad as the day her mother died. “I love you…”
