Quidditch Pitch

"Are we ready then?" Rista asked, grinning.

" I am.." Zelda said as she took her potion.

Rista flew back toward the middle of the pitch after retrieving the quaffle she had just attempted to score with and waited for Stephy to join her.

Zelda put on her goggles once again and tightened the grip on her broom.

Zelda nodded.

Rista started foward with the quaffle and then passed it back to Stephy who was only a bit behind her.

Zelda watched the two move together and pass the ball back and forth.

Zelda watched Oddie drop the ball for Rista.

Rista flew up and did manage to catch the ball, but only just got it before it fell. She flew in the direction of the middle goal post and then passed it toward Oddie.

Zelda was towards the left goal so she headed a little bit to the middle and just waited for what would happen.. She griped her room and focused on nothing ,but the ball and the players mussels.

Zelda caught the quaffle and than smiled at Oddie.. " At least we didn't crash." she said as she threw the ball back.

Rista was a little disappointed, but not too surprised. The play they'd used wasn't a very good one. For that matter it wasn't even a play. She flew up to Oddie. "Any ideas?" She asked.

" I don't either." Zelda said.

"Hmm," Rista said. "Well, do you know any plays that could be done with just two chasers?" She asked Oddie.

Zelda smiled.

Zelda smiled as the two contemplated.

"Well, that will have to do," Rista said smiling. She started forward with the quaffle she had retrieved and passed it to Oddie.

Rista caught the quaffle easily. She continued to fly forward, edging slightly toward the right. Then she dove below and tossed it back upward to Oddie.

Zelda smiled at the two playing chaser.

Rista took the quaffle and smiled at Oddie. Then she sped up and flew toward the hoops. Just when she got into the scoring area, she made to throw it in the left hoop, but instead threw it back to Oddie. She hoped it would get Zelda off track a little.

Zelda went for the way Rista had thrown it and than all of the sudden the ball changed directions and it went towards Oddie.. Zelda flew as fast as she could to catch the quaffle ,but she missed by a mile.. She looked at Rista and smiled.. " That was good!" She said.

"Thanks!" Rista replied.

"I'm just surprised I pulled it off," Rista laughed. "Now what should we do?"

Shadow walked quietly onto the pitch carrying a broom and headed for one end. mounting the broom, she proceeded to fly slowly around the pitch, gaining, bit by bit, height.

Rista saw someone else join them on the field. She saw that it was Shadow. Rista watched her as she flew around.

Shadow noticed some one watching her and promptly fell off. Underneath her hood, she blushed deeply as she picked herself up and re-mounted her broom.

Rista saw Shadow fall off her broom, and rushed over to her. "Are you okay, Shadow?"

Shadow brushed herself off, feeling like a complete fool.
"Fine." She said through gritted teeth.

"Happens to everyone," Rista said, waving it off as no big deal. If you want I can ask Oddie and Zelda if you can join. Plays are easier to practice with a third chaser.

"Actually, I'm trying to learn how to fly, so far, with no success."

"Oh! Well, you're actually doing quite well. I figured you had a little experience," Rista reassured Shadow, sincerely. "I would be willing to help you, and I bet the girls would, too," she added.

"Thank you, where I come from, we don't fly with brooms." Shadow turned to Oddie, who was flying towards them. "Hello Oddie."

"I was just thinking that we could help Shadow if she, and the two of you, would be okay with that," Rista said to Oddie. "What do you think?"

Zelda flew down and lessened to them speak. When posed with the question Zelda said " I think that would be a great idea!"

Shadow bowed her head,
"Thank you."

"So, how does this sound? Zelda and I will fly on either side of you. Oddie can fly beneath you so that she can provide quick assitance if, worst case scenario, you happen to fall," Rista suggested. (I'm getting confused on which name I'm supposed to use with the match and the battle going on)

Shadow nodded, and mounted her broom.
