This is the post for the third match of the season,Gryffindor V Ravenclaw

(Gryffindor Beater)

::From her vantage point high above the game, Duck watched as Rip scored a fantastic goal for Gryffindor, followed by Lily scoring for Ravenclaw. She saw WL flying below the game, and was pleased to see their play was working: Duck stayed above the game, WL below, that way they could play to their best advantage::

"LIONS WIN TONIGHT!" ::she yelled, feeling the Gryffindor spirit.

::Clutching her bat in her hands, she watched as the bludgers zoomed around the pitch, taking note of who they followed. Catching WL's eye, they communicated silently, and Duck flew down to meet her in the middle of the pitch.

A bludger was heading towards them, this could be used to their advantage. They decided to perform the dopplebeater defence once again, aiming their bludger towards LilyFlower::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

"Oh, come on girls! Give me a break!" Roman called as he saw WL and Ducky preparing themselves.

::Roman grumbled to himself as he flew right into the chaser line and took up position near Lily. A quick glance at Herb showed him she too was ready. Roman got ready for the incoming bludger as he flew, just behind Lily.

He thought the bone in his arm had shattered as the force that the bludger hit his bat with. Whacking it painfully, he knocked it in a different direction, so it was no longer heading for Lily, but for Herb.

Herb was more than ready for it, and once it reached her she batted it along, straight for the Gryffindor Keeper. With the two beaters behind the chaser line, the keepers only choice would be to dodge, leaving the goals open for the Ravenclaw chasers::

::Rip, who was flying directly below Lily, flew up in front of her, and caught the quaffle that she had tried to score with.::

"Cheery!" she yelled, and threw it to her team mate.

(G Seeker)
::Pad is about to grab the snitch when two bludgers on each side of him are coming towards him::
"UM...DUCKIE!! WL! HELP..."

(gryffindor beater)

::Duck sees the bludgers heading towards teammate Padfoot, and swoops down, bat in hand. She hits one of the heavy balls with the bat, towards the Ravenclaw Keeper, thus giving Padfoot time to dodge the second bludger::

"All right, Pad?" ::she said, before flying off into the game.

(Gryffindor Seeker)
"Yeah! I AM FINE! THANKS" Pad yells.

::Pad then goes back to the game. He goes up and down right left up and on and on::

(Commentator)

::Jen pops out from behind the podium, still dramatized by her near accident with Padfoot!::

"That was a delibrate attempt on my life!" she joked. "Well, the score is now 40:10 still in favor of Ravenclaw yet the Gryffindor seeker has already seen the snitch a few time while there's still no sight of Ravenclaw's seeker. There's still no telling how this game would end. So make your bets now while you still can!"

::Catching sight of the frown on elfie's face Jen started takling quickly.::

"Of course gambling is not allowed on Hogwarts grounds and I have no idea where one would place one's bets. It's definitly not behind the Boris the Bewildered by the bathrooms." ::Jen gave everyone a little wink.::

( Substituting for Ravenclaw Beater Herb )

:: Order intercepts the bludger as it heads towards kitkat
and gives it a good whack sending it straight back to padfoot::

"Dont leave the other one Roman" Order yells to Roman.


::Ducks back to the game to watch over his teammates::

"Ravenclaws for another WIN!!"

::Pad gave Jen a wink and then yelled::

"Who you put your bet on?"

::Pad then flys bacl out looking for the gold snitch::

(RAVENCLAW RESERVE SEEKER)Subbing for Ballet all the way.)

:.. I sat on my broom and flew up into the air circling the area for the snitch...: my eyes are shap and im fast.im :..doging in and out of the other players..: without a second thought.:.. I circled the area a few times...:and still seen nothing the other seeker also looks as though they have seen nothing. after:.. another few laps...: around the area i start to become desprate i wanted this game to be quick.i suddenly think of a good way to improve my skill.:.. i zoom straight to the ground with my arm streached out infrount of me looking as though i had seen the snitch. a few inches from the ground i pulled up sharply in to the air in hope that the other seeker had followed me and crashed to the floor...:Id just done a WRONSKI FEINT.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Roman waved over to Order to let his fellow beater know that he understood and took off. The bludger that had barely missed Padfoot was still wandering away and he flew down near it. Picking a target Roman lined up and belted it straight for Rip who seemed to be causing his captain the most difficulty::

(Gryffindor chaser)

::Rip quickly darted off to the right as a bludger came streaming past her ear. She turned around and saw that it was Roman again. She avaoided a couple of more bludgersand tried to get back on the Quaffle's trail, and she then saw Pad crash to the ground::

"Oi! Pad! Are you still OK to play?"

(commentator)

"And Gryffindor's seeker seems to have crashed to the ground from a feint made by Polly from Ravenclaw. Oh thats gotta hurt! We'll wait for a moment to see if Pad's ok. While we wait I just wanted to add that you can go get some snacks at the concession stand where the chocolate frogs are the jumpiest and the acip pops are sure to burn a hole through your tongue with just one lick! Courtesy form Honeydukes. Now please excuse me while I take a quick bathroom break for no other reason (obviously not to place a bet) but to use the ladies room." :lol:

::With that Jen walks toward the castle with galleons jingling in her pockets at every step.::

(Ravenclaw keeper)

::Annoyed with the loss of her wand, kitkat focuses her eyes back upon the quaffle. She was going to help ravenclaw beat gryffindor after that!::

::Pad just manages to not crash to the ground. He see's Polly going one way and see's SHE is trying to trick him. Pad see's the snitch the other way and goes after it:: "Nice Try Polly but not yet. Keep trying!" He said trying to make her feel better.

:...i scaned the area and did a few laps around the pitch...:as i was near the ravenclaw nets i saw a little golden ball at the other end of the pitch. excitment filled me:... i sped across the pitch...: i was neck and neck with the other seeker my hand held out infrount of me. silence was in the stadium. i urged my broom forward. we were getting close now:... i pushed there hand out of the way...: but the tiny golden ball flew of and none of us got it i was so disapointed i felt like crying but i held my head up high and went back to :..scanning the area...:

(Um Polly I dont think we can catch the SNitch yet.)

(LOL It is ok. Is this your first game? If so it makes even more sense. I ws about to do the same thing my first game. But you or I can catch the SNitch on the 20th :D )

(yeh its my first im a resever as well the last minute i only joined this site like 5 days ago and went on the ravenclaw house page and put my name down lol i wanna do every thing.)

::Pad flys toward the snitch Polly right beside him. He flys straight up on his fire-bolt! He then lost Polly. He could not see. Her. As she fallen?!? Pad looks around hoping his fellow seeker is alright. He then turns to go back to snitch hunting. But the snitch is gone...::

Nice try Roman i shoated out he turned and gave me a thums up and i did the same back then went back to:.. scanning the area...:

:...as i was falling...: my broom was still in the air i shoated and the beater:... Roman came and got me i got back on my broom and went to scanning the area. i did many laps and still found nothing so i sped to the other end of the pitch the other seeker close behind i then turned upside down on my broom and flew back to where i started. the other seeker came to a sudden stop looking as though they were about to fall i felt bad for my trick and spead back across the pitch to help them...:

::Pad smiles at Polly. "Thanks. I ow ya one. Hey How bout this. THe snitch is that way. NOw we are even." Pad hopped back on and saw Polly following him::

:...i got neck and neck with pad and we were so close the snitch went up and so did we pad stareted falling back and i pushed them in the back to keep them on in doing so i started to lose my balence and did a loop in the air...: when i looked up i saw that the snitch had gone and pad was sat on there broom looking around we looked at each other and i noded at them they nodded back and i went back to scanning the area. :...lilyflower had the quaffle...: i started chearing her on.

(Gryffindor Seeker)
::Pad turned and faced Polly. "You ok?" He asked. Pad then flips around and is flying backwards towards the snitch so he can hear what Polly says::

yeh thanks i shoated to pad then:... zoomed after him ...:we both lost sight of the snitch and for awhile were just circling the pitch and cheering on are teams.

:...ikeept on cicling ...:and then i saw the snitch me and pad :...I zoomed towards iT...: my arm was out strached and i was urging my broom on out load. the flittering ball was mear inches away from me:... i placed my hand on the cold meta...:l but before i could grasp it it flew to the right and i lost it i sat there in annoance and saw:... pad wizz...: across towards the snitch from where i was sitting i coud see it all he grbbed hold of the little wing and it flew of making pad to roll around on his broom this made me laugh.


(can someother join in its always me and pad no complaints but it would be nice.)

(G seeker)
::Pad shook his head and recovered from his disynis and then saw the snitch. He flew own Polly right behind him. He tried to do a workshi faint. He also saw the snitch go up. perfect. Then Pad thinks he hears Polly fall of her broom trying to stop from hiting the ground. Pad has a chance to catch the snitch and win the game. But he turns around and grabbs Poly's robes and puts her back on the broom. He then goes flyimg towards the snitch...::

(commentator)

::Jen runs back to the podium, anting from being out of breath.::

"Umm, yeah sorry folks, it was a long line in the bathroom." Jen pauses to look around the field. "Yet it doesn't seem like much happened while I was gone." She shields her eyes to look up. "The two seekers up there look like they're helping each other out! Now thats odd, they're supposed to be ruthless and brutal...hmm of course in a polite manner!"

(ravenclaw chaser)
::YunYun barrels through the centre with Lils and clover in an arrow move ment almost like a slingshot and awaits the quaffle....::

(ravenclaw chaser)
::YunYun flies towards the keep then brings her hands out from behind her back and waggles them infront of the keeper then flys off away smiling::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Noticing the girls had it pretty much covered, Roman decided to give them that little better chance of scoring. Finding the nearest bludger, he sent it zooming into the unsuspecting Gryffindor chaser line::

(Ravenclaw keeper)

::Kitty jumps up and cheers before remembering that she is on her broom. Suddenly her broom falls from her as the hoops grow farther away and the ground becomes nearer::

"Now that was a silly thing to do" she thought as she closed her eyes and braced for impact::

(RAVENCLAW RESERVE SEEKER SUBBING FOR BALLET ALL THE WAY)



I sat on my broom and cheared our team on i heard a little scream from behind me i turned and saw :...kitkat falling through the air i zoomed straight towards her...:she was near the ground now:... i grabbed hold of her just before they hit the ground and placed her gently down catching her broom before it hit the ground...: i handed it to her and said are you okay she nodded still in shock about what had just happened i gave her a reasuring smile and :...flew back into the air...:

(Ravenclaw beater subing for Herb)

:: Seeing that the chasers had succesfully executed a move they took a lot of time perfectiing during our practise sessions,and that Roman had pretty much taken care of the Gryffindor chaser line up Order did a lap round the chasers being led be Lily shouting:: " Ravenclaws all the way"

(G seeker)
::Pad goes up to 643ft in the air. He see's that Polly is only 80ft in the air. Pad see's the snitch reaches out his and and...RIght before Pad can grab it his Fire-Bolt goes towards the ground. But right before he crashes he manages to get back up to 550ft in the air where the snitch now is...::

(commentator)

"Brillant move by the Ravenclaw Chaser! I couldn't have thought of a better move myself. Well, I did think of a wonderful move yesterday! Yes, I really did! Seriously I did!!...Ok no I didn't. But I wish i did! Now back to the game. Padfoot Potter has just spotted the snitch again! will he catch it and end the game and end my commenting forever?? LoL I HOPE NOT!"

gryffindor beater.

::The ravenclaws had just executed their move, now the Gryffindors had to retaliate. She signalled up to duck and they both carried out the Protego Play, except with rip dogfather carrying the Quaffle inside the hoop. Alt the last posible moment, duck and WL separated, hitting the bludgers towards the keeper, and watching as the keeper dodged and rip scored magnificently.

The Bludgers recovered and were flying to moony and kitkat who was following her. WL gave one a bigger whack to make surre it went to kitkat and redirected the other one at oreder who was trailing moony.

(All in a few minutes work) she panted, already strateging where to hit next.::

(Ravenclaw keeper)

"Thanks Polly" ::Kitkat shouted as she mounted her broom once again and flew back up to guard the hoops, her face slightly red as she began to watch for the quaffle::

(Gryffindor Chaser)

::As Rip was signalling at the other Gryffindor chasers to play the Hawkhead Attacking Formation, a bludger was violently hit at her by a Ravenclaw beater. To avoid being hit, she performed the Sloth Grip Roll and narrowly avoided being knocked off her broom::

Phew!

::She saw that Cheery had the Quaffle and shouted "Hawkshead NOW!".::

::The chasers go tinto the arrow shape and sped towards the goal posts. They were glad to see that the Ravenclaw chasers looked very intimidated as they darted out the way of the speeding Gryffindors::

Nearly there Rip thought.

(Ravenclaw keeper)

::kitkats knees began to shake as she saw the chaser formation heading strights for her. She took a deep breath and stared straight at them awaiting the quaffle that she was about to save!::

Gryffindor Beater.

::WL could see that their chasers were scaring off the ravenclaw chasers and smirked. The Hawkshead was a very intimidating move and for good measure, WL 'dribbled' a bludger to the Ravenclaw chasers, keeping them busy, leaving the way clear for the gryffindor chasers, knowing that duck had the other bludger, she had just seen her. She had learnt basketball over the summer with her muggle father and was pleased to see the effects of her dribbling skills. The bludger was bouncing up and down on her bat as if it were on a string and the ravenclaws didn't know what to make of it!::

(commentator)

"Now the Gryffindors have started to wake up again and they're coming back strong!" Jen announced. "They have just scored using their own Protego Play and now are heading straight for the Ravenclaw goals using the famous Hawkhead Formation! Will they score? Or how will Ravenclaw retaliate?"

Gryffindor beater.

::WL whoops in delight and 'claps' bats with duck as they pass. They had all been working hard...

WL racks her brains and comes up with another play. She dives towards the ground, passing the ravenclaw chasers. She seems to be chasing a bludger but is actually hitting it at intervals, making it go where she wanted. As she passes about five feet below the opposing chasers, she suddenly rolls over on her brrom sharply and hit the bludger into the middle of the ravenclaw formation, hitting polly and causing the others to scatter becasue of the unexpectedness.::

(What to call it? For now, let it be the Surprise Whack!)
