HOUSE QUIDDITCH - FIRST MATCH GRYFFINDOR v SLYTHERIN (6 mar)

This is the post for the first match of the season, Slythering V Gryffindor.

and will end on Friday 10th March - 5 days of rpg posting!

Commentator: WELCOME to the first match of the season, first up is GRYFFINDOR against SLYTHERIN!

(Slytherin Beater)

::Snape mounts his brrom and takes flight. The game has begun::

(Slytherin Keeper)

::Kitty quickly jumps on her broom and flies up to take her position of guarding the three ringed hoops.::

Gryffindor beater

WL flies up into the air and chases one of the bludgers - already aiming at one of the slytherin chasers

[ beater~slytherin ] dray notices a gryffindor beater head his way he spots the bludger and quickly zig zags across the pitch in hope of not getting hit while signaling to snape to do something about the gryffindor beater

::WL sees dray make some sort of action to snape and keeps a look out for any fouls against her, especially cobbing...her ribs were still smarting from her fall during practice the day before.

She sees a bludger heading towards Raylees and jumps into its path to head it towards snape.

She saw that her partner was busy with the other bludger and made sure to be a good cover and watch the one she was dealing with.::

(Gryffindor Seeker)
::Pad mounts his broom kicks off and looks for the snitch. He thinks he see it and goes speeding after it.Then a bludger came at him. The bludger came inches from hitting his Fire Bolt. But Pad dogged it and went speeding after the snitch. Pad sees a bludger heading towards Water lily. "Lily! Move." He then speeds over too her and pushes her out of the way. He helped her but now Pad lost the snitch from veiw::

Gryffindor Beater

::Lily heaves a sigh of relief as Pad shoves her out of the way.::

"Thanks Pad!"

::Suddenly, she sees a bludger behind him and pushes his head down, heading right at the Bludger. Spying dray with the quaffle behind her, she attempts the move she had perfected in practice, the Bludger backbeat. dray was staring forward so she flipped to the side and backhanded it to dray, blocking his path successfully.::

(Hopefully Gryffindor could get possession again! Where's Pad? Had he seen the snitch again? Thank Merlin he was watching out! Though it was a pity the snitch ran away. Maybe the game would have been better in the olden days when the snidget was still around...SNAP OUT OF IT LILS! there's a game to play! What's the score anyway?)

::WaterLily zooms off to save Moony from the same bludger which had nearly beheaded her and aimed it at kitty where the Gryffindor chasers were trying to score.::

[ beater~slytherin] draylaughs to himself as he bludger backhands a bludger at wl " im a beater not a chaser " he yells at her

Gryffindor Beater.

::She smiles innocently back at dray and then feigns a look of confusion::

"If you're a beater, then i would watch behind you!"

::She ducks under a passing blur and spirals off, expertly executing a sloth grip roll as one of the bludgers whooshed past her. Then, she does a move which she named the Backward Reverse as she smoothly curves upwards, backwards and uprights herself; and changes direction to chase after her attacking bludger, chuckling at the look on dray's face::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Duck sees Waterlily chasing after one of the bludgers, and sees the other heading towards a Gryffindor chaser. Rushing forwards on her broom, bat in hand, she hits the bludger away, and flies higher to see what else is going on in the game::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WaterLily gets control over the bludger she was chasing and waves up at duck above her and signals to the chasers to begin their formation. Duck and WL start to protect the chasers in their Hawkshead formation by swapping the bludgers hitting them to each other at the same time, creating a Bludger barrier.

They are close enough for the bludgers not to veer off-course or have any interceptions and far enough not to risk injury to the chasers. WaterLily smiles...::

(There's nothing better than a good quidditch match with the Protego Play!)

(Gryffindor seeker)

::Pad sees a gliimer of gold. He went speeding after it. Pad losses controle of his fire blot. his hands slip. Pads fingers are inches away from touching the ground. HIs feet tightly wrapped around his broom, he needed help...::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Padfoot struggling with his broom...::(What could go wrong with a Firebolt? Was someone jinxing it?)

::Lils makes a signal to Duck and shouts "Pad needs help!"::

::As duck nods, Lily gives the bludger a final whack as one of the chasers scores and immediately dives to Pad, directly under her.

She arrives just in time and does the only thing she could think of...uses her momentum to steer him up...but the question was...had he actually seen the snitch? What happened to his broom? Something was wrong!::

::Snape finally gets hold of the bludger and immediately scans the field. He can see a gryffindor chaser behind him so quickly turns away from them. Making out he is going to hit the bludger towards the gryffindor seeker in front of him, he swiftly uses a backhanded swing and sends the bludger straight at the gryffindor chaser::

(Gryffindor seeker)
::Pad circles the field looking for the snitch when his broom began to go crazy. It was like riding on a bull but a broom. It was crazy. Pad tried to get control of his broom but it was stuborn::

(GRYFFINDOR CHASER)

::Moony realises just in time that the bludger was coming towards her. Flying swiftly under the oncoming ball, she motions to the other chasers and begins to take a speedy flight straight towards the Slytherin keeper::

(Slytherin Chaser)

"Pass the quaffle!"

:: Ray veers to the right as she sees a bludger zoom past. She is right near the net and knows that she is open ::

( beater slytherin ) dray scans the flied keepin an eye out to make sure rayless is in the open dray see a bludger comming his way an bats it towards padfoot

(slytherin chaser)

Cute watches on, watching out for stray bludgers. She sees one hurtling towards Padfoot, and another towards Ray.

"Bludger! 2:00!"

Cute looks for the quaffle. She is open...

(Gryffindor Seeker)
::Pad ducks and comes back up. Then the ball came back around and hit OAd in the back of the head. Pad rubs it but goes back searching for the snitch. He thinks he sees it and goes south!::

(slytherin chaser)

Cute follows Pad to cover him. She flys off to the right side so Pad can have his space. She waits for her next move.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

::Pad reaches out his hand. The snitch hits his nuckels and goes flying off in a diffrent way. The wall is riht in front of pad and he flyes up. Now Cute is heading straight for the wall...::

(slytherin chaser) Cute looked behind her. She was watching the other chasers fighting for the quaffle. Then she heard a scream.

Cute spun around to see---

She screamed.

Cute felt her mind spinning. She remembered her training.. and swerved her broom sideways and diagonal, so that she flipped and was able to right herself a few seconds later.


As she sped away from the wall, Cute tried to catch her breath.

She wondered where Pad was. She looked and saw him, safetly far from the wall.

(G Seeker)

::Pad zooms off looking for the snitch. He think he saw Gryffindor score a goal. He see the snitch and goes after it. Pad goes 150 ft. above the groundto get the snitch::

(commentator) "Its a tough game so far a few accidents but they are managing.The Gryffindor seeker is getting closer GO TEAMS! Come on Slytherin get in there and GO GO!" lol

[ beater slytherin ] dray catch up to a buldger and bats it right in front of pads

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL sees a bludger aiming for Pad and flies to get it, seeing that duxk is too far away. She aims it strat for cute who has the quaffle and then looks around for a slytherin beater to mark. As she passes Pad, she yells, worriedly::

"Broom arlight Pad?"

(GRYFFINDOR CHASER)

::Moony see's the quaffle in the middle of the slytherin chasers and flies as fast as she could stright for the centre of them. Taking them by surprise, she manages to get the ball and throw it as hard as she could towards the slytherin hoops, following its progresess on her broom::

(Slytherin Keeper)

::With a gasp, Kitty sees the Quaffle flying straight towards the left ring. Flying with in the confines of her scoring area, Kitty being on the right side, speeds across and comes up under the Quaffle and zips up in front of it in a swift spiral move she invented called the 'Corkscrew Crisis'.:::

:::Though she is rather shaky at this new move she does manage to just barely block the Quaffle from entering the left hoop as it bounces off of her fingertips weakly and only flies a short distance before it begins to descend towards the ground.:::

::::Seeing it is safely away from the scoring area, Kitty flexes her fingers as they're slightly stiffened and sore from contact with the ball. Luckily, the stinging subsides and she is able to grip onto her broom.:::

"Come on Slytherin!" ::she cheers watching her team mates with their swift, quick, agile actions.::

::Then her eyes catch a glimpse of the Gryffindor Seeker, and she scowls. With his burst of speed she knows that he has spotted the snitch, by his attentive actions, and glances around briefly looking for the Slytherin Seeker who is Tomsgirl; hoping that the snitch appears in her favor.::

::Seeing Snape and Draypotter demonstrating several good beater moves, she confidently looks back to where the Quaffle is; anticipating who will get it and what direction it will be thrown.:::

::Scolding herself for Gryffindor almost scoring; she forces herself to regain her focus and watches the game intently. Hoping to be more prepared for Gryffindor's next attempt.::
::With Gryffindor nearly scoring that last time, she knows that her reflexes have got to be faster.::
::She watches and waits.:::

::Duck sees a bludger heading towards the Gryffindor Keeper::

"Watch out!" ::she yells, before zooming over on her broom to try and divert the heavy black ball. The bludger just misses the keepers head, and annoyed that she hadn't prevented that sooner, she whackes the bludger towards a Slytherin Chaser, hoping to impede their path::

::Rip zooms out of nowhere on her Firebolt, chasing after the falling Quaffle. She manages to scoop it up, inches before it hit the ground.::

"Hey, Moony!" ::she yelled, before hurling the quaffle towards her teammate::

(gryffindor chaser)

::Moony grins at rip dogfather as she swiftly caught the quaffle. Riding parallel with rip dogfather, moony glances ariound the pitch before shouting::

"Rip dogfather...now!"

::Throwing the quaffle back to her teammate and continuing to fly forwards parallel to her::

Gryffindor beater.

::WaterLily sees moony and rip dogfather flying parallel and trails them to make sure no bludgers ruin their path to the Slytherin goal. As a bludger seems to be heading their way, she flies to get it and hits it towards kitty as moony and rip dogfather are now in the scoring area with the quaffle::

(G Seeker)
::Pad was about to say "Yeahs its fine," when the broom slipped from under him. Pad was able to grab the front. He then pulled him self back up::

[ beater slytherin] dray bats bludger towards moony and rip and then circles off to find the other bludger

::Moony doesnt notice the bludger hurtling towards him, suddenly it hit the far end of his broom, thrusting him forwards as the quaffle fell from his gfrasp and over towards rip dogfather. As Moony tried to regain control of his broom, he just hoped that rip dogfather would catch the quaffle before the slytherin team did::

SLYTHERIN BEATER

::Snape sees the quaffle head towards rip dogfather and hurridly gets hold of the bludger before hitting it as hard as he could towards rip dogfather, hoping that the quaffle would be causght by a slytherin team member!::

Gryffindor beater

::WL intercepts the bludger heading towards rip dogfather and hits it towards the slytherin chaser who was about to catch the quaffle. Instead, rip dogfather successfully caught the ball while moony realigned her broom::

::Pad flys down after the snitch. It is edging right above the ground. Pad flys down and he is just about to hit the ground...::

(Slytherin Keeper)

::Sweat trickling down her brow; Kitty watches as the quaffle is passed around.
She paces in front of the three hoops quickly. She grips her broom with feriocity;as she is ready to defend the hoops again.::

She glances to her team mates, then refocuses on the game. Multiple strategies play within her mind:::

"Come on, Slytherin!"
:::she cheers loudly; hoping that she can pep up her team mates. She knows that good morale will increase their motivation and give them a better chance to win.::::

Gryffindor beater

"Come on Gryffindor!" she cries, waving her bat madly, narrowly missing a passing slytherin chaser, nearly fouling.

::She hits a bludger to the slytherin seeker who was following pad on his dive...was he feinting? Or had he actually seen the snitch?::

::Rip sees that everyone is too busy watching Pad dive towards the ground. She presses flat agaisnt her broom and speeds towards the goal posts::

::She manages to score five times simultaneously before the Slytherin keeper notices::

"Hah!" Rip shouts, "You should've kept your eyes on the ball."

( G seeker)
::Pad had seen the snitch. But it suddenly flew up. Perfect thought Pad. It could be a feint and a chanch to get the snitch. Hes flying up smilieing because Gryffindor just made bunches of points and He thinks the Slytherin seeker jsut crashed. Gryffindor was looking pretty good so far::

(Slytherin Keeper)

:::Kitty lets out a loud shriek as Gryffindor scores five goals:: "What!!!"

::She scowls, as she is unable to block fast enough.::

::She shifts her focus on the quaffle as she paces on her broom in front of the rings:::

(G Seeker)
::Pad see the snitch infronmy of him. He starts swinging his arm in hope of catching it::

(slytherin chaser)

Cute flys behind the Gryffs keeper as Kitty distracts him. She signals Kitty to pass her the quaffle.

gryffindor beater.

::WL can see that cute is in a good position to score.

Unfortunately, the bludgers are both nowhere nearby. She screams madly at Alge to watch out and calls to duck to try and bat one of the bludgers.

Both duck and WL reach the nearest bludger at the same time. They nod to each other and each whack the ball hard at the same time, then racing after it and giving it alternate bats to give it more power, and better accuracy...aiming it towards cute.::
