Chapter Thirty-One - The Battle of Hogwarts

This is another amazing chapter, though they all are I think lol

The first time we really see the grey lady and I didnt like her at all. There was something about her which I found annoying. It was a surprise that she was the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, and a shock at what happened between her and the barron, especially as (as far as I remember) weve never had any hint of anything between them before now.
The whole conversation between Harry and the Grey Lady did help me undersatnd a lot, though.

It was a perfect entrance of Hagrid through the window - it made me laugh as it was perfect of him.

All the little bits of the battle going on as Harry passed was great too, like Neville and the mandrakes, Sir cadogan shouting for Harry to see all the rogues off, Aberforth complaining in the midst of it all about the students going through the pub...

It was a great idea with Ron and Hermione (Ron again showing great leadership quality) of going down to get the basilisk fang in the chamber of secrets - although how on earth Ron was able to remember exaclt what the hiss of 'open' was is beyond me lol.

I loved seeing Tonks again, and Nevilles gran was a great touch.

I have to admit - the kiss between Ron and Hermione was so funny, and it was at that moment which I felt that their relationship truley works (Im still against Ginny and Harry though lol).

The RoR hidden room was a perfect place for the final horcrux to be hidden and I dont know why I didnt think of it before - it all fit nicely and was paved out from HBP.

The showing of Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle just had to happen - it has always been the trio against them three and seemed very apt for it to happen here.

Harry saving Malfoys life showed what great a person Harry was, even though i wanted him to leave him to burn! Crabbes sudden death was another shock, though not at all upsetting. The fire was a brilliant way to destory the diadem, especially as it was Crabbe who destroyed it - very ironic I feel.

And Percy joking - that was brilliant and so funny!

But then Freds death - that was so sad and such a shock. I cried at this point.

I read this chapter so fast because it was so fastly paced that I think I missed a few of the smaller details. I loved it though - the whole castle banding together against the DE's.

I didn't like the Grey Lady either, she seemed kind of arrogant. As soon as we found out that the tiara was the Horcrux, I immediately thought of the one in the RoR.

And when it was mentioned that Ron and Hermione had gone looking for a bathroom I just knew they were going to find Basilisk fangs - I had said to myself a little earlier that I think that's what they would do if they went to Hogwarts, I just expected Harry to go with them.

The Ron and Hermione kiss was well worth the seven-book wait. I just loved it, and then Harry's line of "OI! There's a war going on here!" - fantastic!

Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle was surprising, and Crabbe being the one to start the fire that ultimately killed himself and destroyed the Horcrux was good, I thought.

I admit I wasn't surprised that Harry saved Malfoy - he's a selfless person, but I remember wishing he had left him! Although I now understand why Malfoy had to survive there - because Narcissa had to tell Voldemort that Harry was dead and she only did this because she knew Draco was alive.

Fred's death sad

Oh gosh. I had to read it twice to make sure I'd read it correctly. Poor Fred sad

The kiss was the high light of this chapter lol!
Poor Fred though I mean George with out Fred its not right sad

When Crabbe died I laughed I know it sounds mean but I just went haha stupid oaf. Because he was using magic he can't control.

Harry annoyed he when he didnt know what bathroom ron and hermione went to... i was thinking the whole time its the one with the chamber of secerates in it..lol and then fred died,.... i liked him the best out of the two twins

For some reason, i was like the BATHROOOM! I couldn't figure it out.
