Chapter 29

Use this thread to discuss the events in Chapter 29 of Deathly Hallows.

I loved this chapter! I loved how that whilst Harry, Ron and Hermione had been off tracking down the Horcruxes, the others at Hogwarts hadn't been sitting around doing nothing.

The RoR was great - I could picture almost exactly how it looked.

I looooved how Cho was going to take Harry to the Ravenclaw common room then Ginny spoke up and said Luna would go instead. Yay Ginny!!

Not mistrust - they were about to start a battle, but she was obviously jealous, though it's expected. She doesn't want the person she loves to go off with his ex-girlfriend - it's understandable.

Plus I think it was there to show that despite having been apart for so long, Ginny still feels the same way about Harry.

Because she doesn't like Cho. We've seen that throughout the books, and I really think it was just a gesture to let the readers know that Ginny still cared about Harry, despite not seeing him for so long.

I don't think there was mistrust - because at that point Harry and Ginny weren't together, they had been broken up for almost a year. Technically, if Harry wanted to go off and snog Cho, he could because he and Ginny weren't an item.

I think it was just to show that she was still jealous of Cho, despite the fact that Hosepipe's relationship with Harry had completely broken down, and perhaps to conclude the Ginny vs. Cho thread we've seen throughout the books and that JKR planned in that table we got as one of the prizes from her site Easter Eggs.

I think that whatever I say won't convince you though...as you've said, you don't like Ginny.

I think it's natural. She's Harry's ex-girlfriend, and is by all accounts, very beautiful. We've seen loads of other instances of jealousy in the books in relation to relationships - Ron and Viktor, Hermione and Lavender, James being jealous Lily is giving attention to Snape rather than him...

This chapter was so moving with the DA and everything I also loved the fact that it was the diadem and it was Luna giving the information like elfie said it shows she doesn't come out with nonsense all the time lol!

I loved this chapter and hearing about all the things that the DA has been through. I was windering about them and it was good to hear what they had been through. I think it made Harry realize that he wasn' the only one figthing fot the cause.
