Chapter 22

Use this thread to discuss the events in Chapter 22 of Deathly Hallows.

Oh yes, I hated how Hermione and Ron were so doubtful about everything. Xenophilius definitely was right in calling Hermione close-minded or whatever it was!

I felt echoes of the whole Draco Malfoy obsession Harry had in HBP, here. Harry was right all along in book six - Draco was up to something and no matter what he said, Ron and Hermione wouldn't believe him.

I got that here as well; Harry felt an instinct that the Hallows were real and would play a part, and Ron and Hermione didn't believe him, just like he had an instinct and they didn't believe him about Draco.

Of course, from the title we knew the Hallows would be important, but the parallell between here and HBP confirmed for me that Harry was right.

Potterwatch was fantastic - very funny and a great way of getting information to the trio. I also had to laugh at the name - it sounds like a cross between Crimewatch and Pottercast (Leaky's podcast). Perhaps an homage to TLC?

I liked this chapter a lot but like everyone else has said it was annoying that Ron and Hermione didn't believe Harry. But then Hermione always has to be right. And like Luna's dad said she is close minded or whatever.
