Chapter 4

Use this thread to discuss the events in Chapter 4 of Deathly Hallows.

On seeing the chapter title here, I thought something was going to be revealed about Harry's family history, but the reality was very different!

The decoy was great, though I find it a little hard to believe that Molly Weasley would have willingly let Ron go along, knowing the potential danger.

I kind of knew the Death Eaters would turn up - that was obvious, but the action in this chapter was really well done, not confusing at all even though there was a lot going on.

I agree with you Eimi. I also thought it would be about Harry's family, and by the look of the chapter picture, about James' side of the family. Quite sneaky move, anyway... :D

About the action. Hmm. Confusing. It was good, JK is awesome to describe stuff and create this NOT-COOL-feeling to the reader. I was like stressed out when i read it xD And i have a bad feeling it will only get worse... xD

Yeah it was obvious that they would come but it still made it sad. And aww year the poor little owl.

I new that the Death Eaters would come up. I was really shocked when I read that Hedwig had been hit by the Killing Curse. I am so sad.

I am naive and believed that the decoys would work. My mouth actually dropped open when the killing curses soared through the air. Again, I cried for poor little hedwig.

i liked this chapter mainly because of fred and george... you just got to love them.... and then i didnt like it because poor old hedwig dies... that was so sad..... and then harry was trying to get hagrid by using the summoning charm i was imagining a half a ton hagrid com soaring through the air and knocking him off the motorcycle... lol

The 7 Potter decoy was just perfect! I still cant believe poor Hedwig died though

I think J.K. killed off Hedwig because she would be like to much to take care of on their journey for the horcruxes, but I loved her.

Oh well. I miss Hedwig

Yeah, but still she was Harry's companion. She ahd been one of his first pets.

It just makes me so sad.

I thought the decoy was amazing, and so funny! Poor Hedwig, though, such a shame, and it seemed uncalled for really

About the Accio thing.. I was like thats one way to do it.. I thought hagrid would be too heavy to lift with Accio and I was sorta right, Harry was sucked to the the ground...

Well i don't think its tha mgic just think about it.. you would have to be huge to not be moved to hagrid which was what happened to Harry
