Chapter 2

Use this thread to discuss the events in Chapter 2 of Deathly Hallows.

I seriously thought Harry was getting angsty and was cutting his wrists there... :D I was wrong, this is not a fanfiction, this is the real thing xD

We found out a lot about Dumbledore. It was good. I didn't even know he had a sister, I had never even thought about it! Like Harry, i had a hard time imagining Dumbledore as a young boy and stuff... it's just not POSSIBLE!!!!! :D It's like thinking of a stupid Hermione!

I - hate - Rita!!!!!!!!! >__< Ugh!!! The way she made Dumbledore look there! Although, there's always a part of me saying "What if...?" :D

lol who doesn't hate Rita XD okay some people don't but... *shudders* that woman just ought to be killed. Really. But I did love the whole thing from Elphias Doge, it was sweet.

I actually found this chapter a bit boring...I didn't like the way we had to read Elphias Doge's article thing...but on the whole it was good because we did find out about Dumbledore's past.

I think that this was important to start weaving the threads that Dumbledore might not have been so trustworthy to Harry, because I think that if Harry had thought later on that DD had thought he would live, he wouldn't have.

*re-reads that sentence* Did that make sense?

No, Amy, it didn't really make sense, but most of it was understandable Well, Caro, you weren't alone with the wrist-cutting stuff. And I thought I was weird to have that thought ^.^ Oh, I'm so doing intensive reading, like, read a chapter, then take my pen and paper and go through the whole chapter again, writing down lots of comments and questions....Unnerving, really. I'm only at chapter 5 or 6 >.<
But back to topic: I think this chapter was alright to learn about Dumbledore. And I, too, have this 'What if...'-thoughts concerning Rita's babbling :/

Grr! stupid skeeta woman hate her. Yes that chapter was one of the more boring ones lol! but bleurgh was still good.

Ok so this was a rather more boring chapter yet it is one of my favorites because it did tell us some stuff about dumbledore we never knew. Yes I hate that skeeter woman but the question is, does she know what she is talking about. Hmm we will just have to read on and see.

I cried again... when I read Doge's obituary... then I got really mad reading Rita's.. I hate her so much.

at first i thought that hedwig bit harry... lol


and then he stepped on the tea cup.... who puts a tea cup in front of a door....


and then learning about dumbldore.... i found that interesting..... with his sister and mom.....

and Rita... im not even goign to start about her... lol

The tea cup bit and finding out later that it was a nice gesture from Dudly was a great touch.

I thought this chapter was interesting. Not the best, but it started making me wonder whether Dumbledore was indeed as good as I thought

Same here. started having doubts about Dumbledore at first

Ya I always thought that there was more to Dumbledore. He is always listening ,and not telling. He is a very deep man!

I always loved Dumbledore so I ddnt like to see him in a negative light and it sounds so naive but it really bothered me

It was interesting.. but It's all in perspective he wasn't evil and bad.. the whole time I was thinking I hope she gets thrownin Azkaban
