Chapter Thirty-Six - The Flaw in the Plan

I loved this chapter the best one in my opinion so sad yet so amazing lol!

Now this is possibly one of the most amazing chapters.

Voldy on the floor knocked down shows that he is hurt with the fact that he just unknowingly destroyed part of himself. It made me wonder why he didnt realise then that Harry had part of his soul, but then again, although very powerful, Voldy seemed to miss a lot, and even more so as the horcruxes were destroyed one by one, which is perhaps why he stopped feeling the connection harry had with him?

Narcissa lying about harry being dead was only done by selfish means, I believe, as she no longer cared about following Voldy, but actually had some compassion, finally, about her family.

The crucioing upon Harry was not unexpected, though still very terrible, knowing that Harry was indeed alive.

And Hagrid carrying his 'body' back was terrible as Hagrid truley believed that his friend was dead. It made me so sad for Hagrid.

When everyone came out to see Harry dead, it did surprise me that they all came out so easily, and Voldys lie about Harry running away whilst he killed him showed just what sort of 'thing' he was.

Nevilles part was spectacular - so brave and perfect, and I feel it was perfect how he was the one who killed Nagini, still not knowing how close he was to having Harrys life. He was another hero of the book, I believe.

I couldnt help but cheer when Kreacher entered with the army of house elves

And, although my dislike for Molly Weasley through the majority of the books, I loved her comment as she ran to protect Ginny.

I didnt notice at this point, how all the spells were missing, though Harry explained this wonderfully. I loved how the protection Lily gave to Harry now passed from Harry to the rest of them. Such a well rounded ending.

I love how Harry appeared from under the cloak and all went quiet. The whole showdown between Harry and Voldy could not have been any better. I had tears in my eyes and my heart was beating fast. He took control, he became the master of death, and explained everything so brilliantly that I felt DD's soul was helping him. Even him calling Voldy by his name of Tom seemed to mirror DD, as though now, finally, Harry realised exaclty who Voldy was and who he was and knew then, that he was going to win.

The best part of the speach, was when Harry cleared Snapes name for all to hear.

And Voldys death - perfect! And when they all cheared, I cheared (and woke mick up lol)

After, Luna saying to Harry about he must want peace and quiet and distracting everyone so he could slip out - I love Luna!!

And what we had been waiting for. Finally Harry spoke to DD in the portrait, proving that the earlier conversation with the ex-headmaster was not fake, and was indeed real.

I adored this chapter. Perfect and fitting end to the war.

The forest scenes were horrible, and Voldemort making Hagrid carry Harry's body was just cruel.

I loved how Neville got the sword from the hat - it showed, like Harry that he was a true Gryffindor - and then he killed Nagini - yay!

I also hadn't noticed that the spells weren't working, although I did wonder why Neville was still alive after the sorting hat had been set on fire!

I loved the idea of the fact that Harry "dieing" to save them all protected everyone - just like his Mother's protection spell when he was a baby.

The final duel. Wow. It was amazing - Harry seemed so confident and sure of himself, and Voldemort actually listened to him!

I also loved how it was expelliarmus that Harry used. His old, failsafe spell - that he had been ridiculed for using it earlier in the book, and it was ultimately what turned Voldie's AK back on himself.

I also loved how it was Voldemort's AK that killed him, and that Harry didn't have to kill him in the end.

I loved this chpater. My favorite part in this chapter was when Mrs. Weasley ran up to Bella and called her the word.

I dont get why when voldy crucioed harry it didnt hurt him. that part confused me

I don't know. It's gotta be something about self sacrificing... I cried htorugh this chapter because I felt so bad for Hagrid. He is such a caring presin and to see him hurt like that was really sad. ABout Neville. He is so brave, I was really scared for him though. I thought he was going to be impursed or something. It was a really amazing chapeter though.
