16th House Quidditch : Ravenclaw V Hufflepuff : 25th - 29th

(Hufflepuff Beater)


:Etta strolled on the pitch, her trusty Owl Nike perched sleepily on her shoulder. Nudging her bird gently, Etta whispered in its ea and watched as it flew off into the Hufflepuff stands dropping mass messages.

Jumping on her trusty broom, Etta pulled her gleaming gold ultra polished uber cool bat from her robes and shot off into the air like a bat out of hell.

Waving to the crowd, she did a quick warm up lap and then took position in front of the Hufflepuff goals, not to save any goals but to hurt any Ravenclaws who dreamed of scoring whilst she was perched happily up here.

Pulling out her mobile phone Ettie sent a text message or twenty to her friends before turning her music player on and singing along to Kelly Clarkson::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Streams ambled onto the pitch, beater's bat held loosely in her hand. Then she saw Ettie making wild gestures with her hands and realized something. "Dang it, I forgot I'm supposed to leave the bat behind..." She rushed back to the Huffie dressing rooms, placed the bat securely in her locker, and rushed back onto the pitch.

She missed the feel of the bat in her hand, and hoped she would do okay as a chaser. Already used to flying one-handedly, now Streams had to perfect her grabbing and throwing techniques. She zoomed into the air smoothly and watched elfie release the Quaffle...concentrating hard, she flew towards it as fast as she could but she missed it by six inches and it continued falling.

Gritting her teeth and ignoring catcalls from the crowd, Streams dove and once again reached for the Quaffle, this time tucking it securely under her arm as she kept an eye out for opposing beaters and chasers.

(Hufflepuff BEater)

:Etta decided to give her fellow Beater come Chaser a helping hand, she knew from personal experience what it was like being out of place in a new position and so she sped off from her place in front of the goals, taking an on coming Bludger with her.

Bouncing the bludger on her bat, etta did a Huffle Escort, she flew round in the circles keeping streamers in the direct middle of her and when they neared the goals she whacked the bludger at the Ravenclaw Keeper, leaving the way clear for Streamers to shoot.:

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Etta was helping her out a lot, but still Streams didn't have much practice with aiming and so she was worried about scoring. She figured she'd draw as close to the Ravenclaw goals as she could before she tried scoring. Thanks to Etta's efforts (and perhaps because the Ravies weren't there) nobody could come near her and she was able to concentrate.

She drew close to the goals, held her breath, and threw the Quaffle in a high, soaring arc. It dinged straight through the center goal and nobody was more surprised than Streams herself.

(Commentator)

June watched the game and gasped with the crowd as Streams dove for the quaffle but just missed it. Suddenly, she realized that she was supposed to be commentating! Cursing her temporary lapse of memory, June looked around for the microphone but didn't see it. Rolling her eyes, she waved her wand at herself and whispered, "Sonorus!" Instantly, her voice was magnified immensely.

"Welcome, students, to the 16th match of the season, between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff! Streams of Hufflepuff is playing Chaser instead of Beater for a change... I wonder who will be replacing her? But anyway, she just dove for the quaffle and barely missed. Good luck next time Streams! And yes, this time she's caught it and is flying towards the Ravenclaw goal posts. And now Etta, the everpresent Hufflepuff Beater has performed a Huffle Escort, knocking out the Ravenclaw Keeper, leaving Streams free to score!" A few seconds later, June cried, "And she scores! It seems a good omen for Hufflepuff. The score is 10-0 to Hufflepuff!"

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby slid into the Ravenclaw locker room, still a bit wet from her hasty shower. Her shoes were a bit squishy and left wet footprints behind her. Biting her lip, she tried to remember the proper charm for drying, as she often tended to get it mixed up with the charm that blew things up. Pointing her wand at her feet she yelled out, "Siccus!" Immediatly her shoes were warm and dry. She changed quickly into her robes and grabbed her shiny broomstick, still glowing from the thourough cleaning she had given it the day before.

Rigby reached the pitch, surprised to see that Huffelpuff had already drawn first blood by scoring first. Grinning, she flew into the air. She loved a good challenge, and that's what she was sure this game was going to be. Hopefully the rest of her team would show up, but if not she would have to work quickly to find that golden devil of a snitch.

(Commentator)

Glancing toward the opening to the Ravenclaw Locker Room, June noticed a figure come out and fly into the air. "A member of the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team has arrived! Everyone please welcome Rigby, the Ravenclaw Seeker! Maybe now, the Hufflepuffs will have a little competition." As expected, there were cheers from the Ravenclaw spectators and boos from the Hufflepuffs.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby smiled to see an ever exuberant Elana up in the air. If there was anyone she could depend on to keep her injury free it was Elana. The wind was picking up a bit, cooler than the warm air that surrounded the pitch. For a moment Rigby could almost smell the promise of fall in the air, making her nostalgic for changing leaves and carved pumpkins. She shook her head to clear it, fall would be here eventually, but she had a snitch to catch now.


She flew in circles around the pitch, searching for the golden glint of the snitch. She caught plenty of false leads as Etta's new bat sent off golden sparkles every time she swung it. Rigby didn't know for sure if that's why Etta got the golden bat in the first place, but if it was than it was a good strategy. Deciding for the moment to fly lower than the Hufflepuff beater, Rigby pulled down on her broom. She was leaving herself open for an easier bludger attack, but she was hoping it would also give her a break on the snitch hunt. She would just have to put her faith in her teammates and in her own flying skills.

(Sub Hufflepuff Chaser)

Mel stumbles onto the pitch and mounts her broom ready for action. She was glad that she was not the only one late for the match and breathed a sigh of relief to see her team mates here already.

She circled the pitch twice to warm up before glancing across the pitch to where streams of silver flew and gave her a wave.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Yay!" Streams cheered, happy to have another huffie to play with, and soared over to Mel, high-fiving her. Then she winked and whispered in her ear. Streams flew off to where the Quaffle had been thrown back into the game. There was as of yet no opposition from Ravenclaw chasers, and streams was glad of that as it gave her more time to practice her Chaser techniques, with room for error.

She zoomed to catch the Quaffle and caught it neatly. Surprised that she caught it, she was looking down at it happily and didn't notice the bludger coming toward her. She swerved to avoid it and it just barely caught the back of her neck. The Quaffle dropped from her arms and she dove to catch it again..."Focus streams, focus," she muttered, and with the Quaffle tucked firmly in her hands once more, she decided on the Badger Toss.

She kept flying until she saw no bludgers nearby, and then she carefully aimed the Quaffle at Mel, who was closer to the goal hoops than Streams was. Since she was better at aiming at people than at little golden hoops, hopefully Mel would be able to catch it.

(Sub Hufflepuff Chaser)

Mel made a move to see if Streams was hurt, but then pulled herself out of the flight mid way.

"Remember your goal" She said quietly and flew back into place, her eyes darting around for any other bludgers.

Looking back towards Streams, she noticed that she had let go of the quaffle and it was heading her way as planned, yet Mel was slightly out of place.

Quickly manouvering herself around a couple of Ravenclaws, she flew backwards until the quaffle was right near her, yet stumbling slightly, she felt herself fall backward. Pulling herself back, she nimbly caught the quaffle just before falling through one of the hoops backwards Quaffle and all!

"Goal?" she questioned the referee before shouting "GOAL!"

Her first ever goal. She flew in circles and high fived streams, her excitement rising as she scored for the very first time!

(Commentator)

June's eyes widened. "Elana, a Ravenclaw Beater, is now on the field! Streams seems to be getting used to the Chaster position, because although she just dropped the quaffle, she had caught it before and it was only a bludger that caused the ball to plummet. Great dodging by the way Streams! And she's caught the quaffle again! She's thrown it to Mel, the subsitute Hufflepuff Chaser, and Mel has scored!" June clapped as she said, "The score is now 20-0 to Hufflepuff."

(Hufflepuff Beater)

::Etta whooped and cheered her team on, whilst making a mental note of what else she shold be moving and throwing away in her cosy little home.

Cradling her beloved golden bat, a gift from Agatha after one very painfree Quidditch game, Etta turned in mid air, shot back to wards the Hufflepuff Goals and sat hovering looking as menacing as she possibly could.

note to self, remove said badger suit before looking menacing she thought as the crowd pointed and laughed at her.

"BAdger SMASH!" she squealed excitedly as a bludger flew towards her and she smashed the cool gold bat into its side, sending it zooming with a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee straight at the Ravenclaw Seeker.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby heard the bludger before she felt it, but since it was coming from behind she didn't know which way to turn to avoid. Her hesitation cost her, she moved turned to the right a second too late and the bludger whacked her hard in the back. Her body exploded into a burst of pain, and for a moment she feared that he back was broken. Fortunatly her feeble attempts to avoid the bludger had saved her a full on hit, otherwise she would no doubt be laying, broken, on the field. Etta's bat might be gold, but the core had to be pure hard metal.

It took Rigby several seconds to get her breath back, once that small task was accomplished she risked trying to move, and was delighted to find out she could...just with extreme pain. She flew as far and high as she could in order to get away from the Hufflepuff beaters, needing a moment to gather her thoughts.

She watched out for the snitch and tried her best not to tense up, to keep her injured muscles loose in case the snitch appeared. Watching the game below, she cheerfully wished Etta a trip to the infirmary. Maybe they could keep each other company, because no doubt Rigby would be after the came was done...quite possibly Etta might send her there early.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta removed her badger suit in mid air whilst still managing to not to take off her quidditch robes.

"Its getting hot up here!" she shouted at her team and their looks of dismay, she didnt blame them though, she wouldnt be surprised if she woke up after the gamne to find a house muttiny and her trunk packed.

Swinging her bat to the left, the to the right, etta did a Huffle Muffle and threw her bat up into the air, straight into a Bludger.

The Bludger sent her bat spinning directly for Rigby who Etta had assaulted only moments early. In two minds wether to chase after he bat or allow it to hit the poor Ravenclaw Seeker, Etta sat and watched as everything became in slow motion

The Bludger itself was spinning towards the Ravenclaw fans in the stands, her bat was looming in on Rigby, Etta's hands flew to her eyes, she peaked through a tiny gap in her fingers to watch the result only hoping Rigby looked round before it was too late, she liked that Ravenclaw seeker alot and felt awfully Badgerlike for having to hurt her::

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby had caught sight of the snitch. Excited at the prospect of an early catch, she turned her attention away from the game play below. Despite the pain in every inch of her body she managed to get her broom up to high speeds again. If I'm lucky, she thought, maybe I can catch the snitch and still make it to the infimrary before any lasting damage is done!

Apparently all she had today was Irish luck.

She heard the Ravenclaw crowd screaming, sure they were just cheering her on. As she stretched to reach the snitch (her muscles screaming almost as loud as the crowd), she turned her head to smile triumphiantly at the Ravenclaw supporters. Only instead of a happy mob, she saw them screaming and scrambling to get out of the way of a rogue bludger. One of the small Ravenclaw first years was pointing at Rigby and crying hysterically.

Wha...?

Bam!

Etta's golden bat hit into Rigby's broom and left legs at a seemingly ungodly speed. Any chance of catching the snitch instantly went away as Rigby found herself spinning around, finally ending upside down. Etta's golden bat was caught up in her breight blue quidditch robes.

Rigby realized that she must look pretty comical, and if she were in less pain, she might have laughed, as from the look on Etta's face this had not been a planned attack. After some huffing and puffing, and some shoulder strain, Rigby managed to right her broom again, but she had lost some altitude. The snitch was long gone, so she made her way to the stands. The first year boy was still crying and it took some time before she could calm him down enough to see that she was unhurt, which of course she wasn't but Quidditch is not for sissies.

"See," she crooned to the upset boy, "Look what Etta wanted you to have!"

Rigby produced the golden bat from from the tangled heap of her legs and robes and handed it to the sniffiling first year.

"I bet if you ask real nice, Etta will even sign it for you!" Okay, she was laying it on a bit thick, but this was Etta's problem now. Besisdes, the kid's eyes got all big and dewey as he looked towards the Hufflepuff Beater. Smiling, Rigby zoomed off. throwing an innocent look at Etta.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Streams could hardly fly straight, she was laughing so hard. Still, it wasn't like anyone was going to grab the Quaffle away from the Huffies...she had all the time in the world to get it. She was becoming much more comfortable in her role as chaser, especially since she was being given ample time to practice.

She zoomed to catch the Quaffle and grabbed it with her right hand, tucking it close. Then she flew up and down the pitch, dodging bludgers and players as she debated her next move.

Mel was too far away and Streams decided to try for another goal on her own. She flew close to the goal posts and squinted, finally aiming for the left goal hoop. However the ball fell short and missed.

Her face flushed in embarrassment, Streams turned away as she waited for the Quaffle to be thrown back into the game. There were catcalls from the crowd which she did her best to ignore.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby hoped the rest of her team showed up , because even though streams was new to being a chaser, Rigby had no doubt that soon she would be scoring goals with the best of them.

She realized that her leg was bleeding from where the bat had hit her. Cursing under her breath when she realized that her wand was still in the locker room, Rigby tore off the bottom of her quidditch robe, fashioning a make-shift band-aid. It stopped the bleeding pretty quickly, but Rigby preferred the magic way.

Keeping an eye out, she renewed her snitch hunt, sure that she could hear it calling to her. Now if Rigby could just stay on her broom, and stay in one piece, she might just have a chance of surviving this game.

(Hufflepuff BEater)


:Etta raced up to Rigby and hugged her tightlty whilst apologising for her wayward Bat, promising to repeatedly she'd get it fixed firmly to hand with superglue before the next game.

Turning her broom hard, she sped towards the Ravenclaw stand and looked at the ickle firsty who had her bat. She held out her hand and beckoned him forward, curling an arm around his slender waist Etta pulled the little boy onto her broom and took him for a zoom around the quidditch pitch.

atleast Kate won't get hurt while i do this, she thought as she finally stopped where she had started and let the little boy off.

"May i have the bat back for this game?" she asked softly, her big blue eyes sparkling with innocence. "I'll give you Lily's broom if you tell me i can keep my bat?"

The boys eyes widened and he grinned, handed over the bat and shouted something about knocking his Head out. Wondering if the poor boy was confunded, Etta got back into the game.

Spying a Bludger she pushed her body down hard on her broom, did a loop du loop and smacked the bludger at the only Ravenclaw on the pitch.

i feel oddly guilty Etta thought as the Bl;udger began to curve and gain speed, knowing she had whacked her bat at the right angle, Etta's only thought was for Kate's family and friends, in her mind she disgarding her to do list and began to pen a tribute for the lone Ravenclaw.

"BADGER SMADGER!" etta shrieked when she saw the Bludger loop Streamers, and begin to cannon ball spin directly towards Kate's head. ::

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby's ears were tuned to Etta's particular frequency. She heard the familiar and much dreaded "BADGER SMADGER!" war cry issue from Etta's mouth. Now normaly Rigby did not pray whilst playing quidditch because she felt it was wrong to ask God to help either team win, but at this moment she felt that it was appropriate to lift her prayer embargo long enough to pray that Etta's bludger didn't kill her.

Instinctly she covered her head, sensing that this was the one part of her body that the Hufflepuff beater had yet to reduce to a mass of bruises. She steered her broom with her knees, but the bludger still hit her full on. The bludger smashed into her forearms and hands, her body rocked backwards at an unnatural angle with the force of the blow. Somehow her teeth stayed in her mouth, but her nose was stinging despite the buffer of her hands.

Slowly Rigby lowered her arms, glaring at the first year in the stands who had given Etta back her deadly bat. If the Hufflepuffs killed her she was coming back to haunt that little boy!

She went through a mental check list as she went bone through bone in her arms and hands, it did not appear that anything was majoraly broken, although she was guessing that her left wrist might have a fracture... or two. Grimacing, she again tore off some of her robe, revealing a little more leg than was considered appropriate for a quidditch match, but just let Madame Hooch try to scold her!

Rigby used the strip to wrap her wrist up tight, losing a bit of wrist movement was surely worth further injury. Besides she was right handed, and as long as she had some working body part she was going to find a way to catch that snitch. Once more Rigby took to the skies in search for the great golden hope, the only defeat she was going to accept was death... or concussion.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

::Etta looked as angelicly as she could at the judges, waved, mouthed "it was all Ravenclaws fault for not being here" and shot off like a bullet after another bludger.

Mid break neck speed broom ride, Etta halted and looked at Rigby. Her father may be a Slytherin, but her mother was a Badger and so am i etta growled in her mind.

Turning around in the sky, Etta drifted backwards, towards to the Hufflepuff Goal posts and floated in front of them, wondering if there was a Hufflepuff keeper anywhere within the stands.

Lying backwards on her broom, Etta rolled up her quidditch robes to reveal her legs, and began to take advantage of the hot summer day.::

(Commentator)

June watched in undisguised horror and disbelief as Rigby was bombarded again and again by Etta. It took her a few moments to realize that she had a game to commentate! Silently clearing her throat, June said, "Well... wow people... This is really turning into a harsh and injury-causing game! I think I speak for many people when I say, Lighten up a little Etta! At the rate you're going, Rigby won't even be able to fly! ...But that might be your goal. Anyway, this is a brutal game so far. Where are the other Ravenclaw players?"

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby was relieved, as she had not been hit by a bludger in the last few minutes. Either Etta was going easy on her due to pity, or she realized that the golden snitch obviously had no plans of reappearing anytime soon for the eager Ravenclaw seeker.

Rigby listened to June's commentary, wondering if it was in the rule books anywhere that she could recruit the Gryffindor to play for Ravenclaw while her blood cells took time to regenerate....

She was almost beginning to hope that Etta would hit her with a bludger, all this flying around and no sight of the golden snitch was giving her muscles time to start aching. At least dealing with a famous Badger attack kept her adrenaline pumping, therefore keeping her relatively pain free. Maybe it was time to upgrade Etta to a platinum bat?

Rigby pushed her broom faster, carefully keeping her left wrist as straight and still as possible. If she ever did find that snitch she was going to have to suck up the pain and start steering with her injured hand, but until that time she felt it deserved a rest. She flew past the stands and the Ravenclaw supporters waved banners and shouted encouragement. The sniffley first year was still there, awaiting Lily and her broom. Rigby tried not to glare at him, it wasn't his fault he was a newbie and therefore easy prey for Etta's charm. But she couldn't help feeling happy when she caught a glimpse of him falling backwards as she flew by, the wind knocking him off his scrawny feet.

Rigby finally spied the snitch, sadly it was flying close to Etta. The Hufflepuff beater may have let her off easy for the time being, but she doubted that she would go unpunished if she flew into Etta's personal space. Oh well, thought Rigby, who wants to live forever anyway? And off she sped to try her chance at catching the snitch.

(Commentator)

"And it looks like Rigby's seen the snitch! She's flying fast towards Etta... watch out Rigby! Beware of bludgers!" June turned slowly, following the Ravenclaw's path. "I wonder what Etta will do..." she mused.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby was flying directly behind Etta, tracking the snitch as it danced near the Hufflepuffs hair. So far it appeared as if Rigby was still undetected, but Etta could just be waiting to strike. The snitch glittered enticingly and Rigby stretched out her right hand, inching her way up her broom. Her left wrist screeched its protest but she was too close to stop now.

Her fingertips almost brushed to snitch, no longer able to keep patient, Rigby lunged forward and closed her hands... around Etta's hair. The snitch had taken off, and all Rigby could do was laugh helplessly and hope to make a quick getaway.

"You know Etta, your hair looks great, what shampoo do you use?" she asked, the words coming out fast and loud as she concetrating on aiming her broom away from the Hufflepuff. She angled the broom downwards and took off without waiting for Etta's reaction. This would have been a briiliant plan, only Rigby was now to far forward on her broom, and as she flew straight down her broom began to do flips.

I hope this looks cooler than it feels, she thought.

Desperatly trying to scoot backwards to re-balance her broom, and also desperatly trying not to throw up from dizziness, Rigby finally managed to shift her position. She pulled up hard and fast on the handle, sending her flipping backwards, but at least gravity scooted her backwards. She managed to stop the broom mere feet from the ground. Feeling lightheaded and woozy she realized that the Ravenclaw crowd were on their feet cheering, they though she had caught the snitch!

Flushing red with embaressment, Rigby held up her empty hand to show that she did not have the snitch. The crowd was slow to get the point, and the silence came in slow motion. Rigby grinned, turned around and sped off. She could hear the Hufflepuff supporters laughing at her, but what's a girl to do? Her thoughts returned to the snitch, more than ever she needed to catch it!

(Commentator)

June gasped as Rigby neared Etta. "Has she got it? RIGBY OF RAVENCLAW HAS GOTTEN - .......... Etta's hair." She groaned along with the Ravenclaws. "Oh well Rigby, maybe next time. I wonder why she was doing flips on her broom? Was it to confuse the ever-deadly Etta perhaps? Whatever it was, and whatever it was for, it appears to have worked." Talking conversationally, June continued, "You know, I'm a bit surprised there's been no injuries within the past two minutes!" She winced. 'I did not just jinx her I did not just jinx her,' June thought over and over.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta must have dozed off on her broom whilst sunbathing, her bat was lolling peacefully on her stomach, she yawned and listened to June's commentry, anger swelled inside as she felt herself being attacked for only doing her job.

She felt Rigby's hand in her hair, and realised that the soft flickering she had felt moments earlier must of been the snitch and not the butterfly she had dismissed it as.

Deciding enough was enough, Etta sat up on her broom, and glared at June. sometimes she just couldn't stop her father's blood pulsing through her veins.

Flying hard and waving her bat menacingly at June, Etta approached the commentaters box.

"Its not my fault Kate's the only Ravenclaw on the pitch and its not my fault i'm the only Hufflepuff Beater on the pitch, the point of a Beater is to Beat those bludger's at the opposing team, i'm not doing it on purpose I like Kate!" said Etta in calm but deadly voice. "And if it bother's you all so much," she said turning in mid air at the silent crowd. "I'll not hit the bludger which is about to hit......June," etta finished and ducked as the Bludger hit the commentater.

"Oh well," she sighed zooming over to her husvband captaion JAck Harkness who was cheering wildly in the crowd, Etta parked her broom in front of him and kissed him softly, tears of anger rolling down her face. Her loving husband whispered some choice words in her ear which made the little Etta smile before zooming off into the game, ready to do her job.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)
STephy ran out into the field and saw to her horror that there really wasnt any Ravenclaw Chasers on the field. With her broom held tightly in her hand she threw her leg over it and kicked hard off the ground. Looking around she spotted the quaffle and turned her boom towards it as she flattened herself against the broom. Stephy started to gain speed quickly and in no time cought the quaffle and turned her broom around quickly and headed towards the Hufflepuffs goal posts as she flattened herself against her broom again picking up speed.

(Commentator)

June listened calmly as her grandmother berated her. She smiled and nodded. "I know you're only doing your job Etta," June said, "but don't repimand me for doing mine. My job is to commentate, and that's what I'm doing. To my knowledge, I'm supposed to say that it's a brutal game and I wasn't blaming you when I was remarking that Rigby was one of the only Ravenclaws in the air. And for your information, I was trying to warn you about Kate and the sni-" But June was silenced by the bludger. She narrowed her eyes as Etta flew away and didn't speak or move as Madam Pomfrey appeared and began dabbing a lotion on her face. After the witch was finished, June said, "Stephy , a Ravenclaw Chaser is now in the air."

(Ravenclaw Chaser)
Stephy with the Quaffle still in hand made it half way through the pitch. She knew by now the the Hufflepuffs were now going to try to take the Quaffle off of her so she tightned her grip and continued on down the pitch, still flattened against her broom

{Ravenclaw Seeker}


Rigby beamed at Stephy, her heart uplifted by the sight of the Ravenclaw chaser on her way to score a goal. At least now there was another target for Etta's bludgers...well, besides June that is. Of course, Rigby was happy to take all the bludgers in the world she was that happy to see Stephy.

Her happy spirits worked like Madame Pomfrey's best healing potions, her brutally sore body began to feel almost tolarably sore. Her wrist was no longer on fire, but instead had gone strangely numb, but Rigby was willing to take that as a good sign. With renewed vigor, she hunted for the golden snitch, sure that Stephy would even the score up a bit.

(HUfflepuff Beater)

::Etta soared high into the air and rounded on a bludger, pushing her able broom forward she chased down a bludger, pulling her arm back, flicking her hair over her shoulder, Etta brought her bat into the whizzing bludger, sending it rocketting down towards Stephy.

Pushing forward, Etta raced towards the Hufflepuff goals and, finally in front of them, she flicked her broom tail to the left, blocking Stephy just as the bludger she had smacked at the Ravenclaw moments ago connected with the Quaffle in the girl's arms.

where are my huffles? Etta wondered as she glared at Stephy.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby watched with some admiration as Etta hit a bludger at Stephy's quaffle, and she hoped the Ravenclaw could keep hold of the quaffle. Where were their beaters to keep Etta from protecting the goal? Before she could see how Stephy's move would play out she was reminded of why she was here in the first place; the golden snitch had just buzzed by her face!

Rigby jerked her broom to the right, her body reacting even before her mind had fully grasped the sitituation. The golden sphere danced before her, its dips and turns graceful in its speed and precision. Rigby followed suit, amazed that her bruised and broken bones could still manuever so well. She pushed her broom to keep up, the snitch just dancing out of reach, teasing her with it's closeness just before zooming away again. If she could just keep up...

(Commentator)

June winced as Etta's bludger knocked into the quaffle. "Although Stephy got the quaffle, it looks as if she might lose it due to Etta's bludger!" Suddenly, a Ravenclaw first year pointed towards Rigby and alerted June. "And it looks like Rigby for Ravenclaw has seen the snitch! Will she get it this time? Uh-oh, it looks as if it's going to fly out of her reach..." June waited with bated breath along with everyone else to see what would happen.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Stephy saw as she neared towards the goal posts that Etta had darted in front of her. She tried to block her she she looked to her right and saw to her horror she saw a bludger coming her way. She knew that she couldnt just turn to her left because Etta was there so instead she put the Quaffle in her left hand and tried to turn up before the Bludger got to her, but she wasnt lucky. The Buldger had hit her right below her elbow on her right arm but thankfully she had the Quaffle in her left so she did not lose the Quaffle but she did lose control of her broom. Trying not to notice the pain in her arm she grasped her broom and strightened it out so that she was heading towards the hufflepuff goal posts. Once in the scoring area she drew back her left arm and threw the Quaffle as hard as she could towards the middle goal. She watched as it soared a little to the left but lucky it did not go too far and she was relived to see that she scored a goal for the Ravenclaws.

Stephy turned her broom around and pounched her left fist into the air glad that the Ravens had finally got a goal.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Still in pursuit of the tricky snitch, Rigby was relieved to hear Stephy's goal. She didn't know how the chaser had kept hold of the quaffle, but she was willing to bet Stephy had been hit by Etta's bludger. The Hufflepuff beater was one of the bests and she rarely missed.

Rigby was flying by as the quaffle was thrown in bounds and took a moment to knock the ball with the back of her broom, sending it in Stephy's direction. The snitch still danced in front of her, climbing high up in the air and then falling dramatically back towards the ground. Still, Rigby and her achy breaky body kept pace, shadowing the little golden sphere.

Flying at high speeds with her shortened robes was a bit tricky. Madame Hooch kept sending her dirty looks, but Rigby smiled angelically back.

The wind blew her robes into her face and Rigby frantically shoved them down, tucking them underneath her. For a moment she had lost sight of the snitch, but suddenly there it was right in front of her. The glittering golden bewitched snitch just seemed to hang in the air, awaiting her. Rigby reached out with her right hand....

(RAvenclaw Chaser)

As STephy saw the Quaffle start to fall she quickly spotted Rigby. "Go Rigby" Stephy shouted put and then she saw that Rigby had lunched the Quaffle back towards her. STephy flew towards it and managed to get a hold of it with her left hand her right was still unusable form the Bludger. She quickly turned her broom around and headed towards the goal posts. She made sure to keep an eye out for the Bludger this time along with the chasers. She flattened herslef against her broom and leaned towards the left side causing her broom to spin like a drill. After spinning towards the hufflepuff goal posts for a while she noticed that she was about to be in the scoring area so she slowed her spinning by leaning towards the right and once she was close enough to the left goal post she threw the quaffle as hard as she could and managed to make another score. She then quickly turned around to see where Rigby was and weather or not she had gotten the Snitch yet.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

The roar of the Ravenclaw crowd was at a fevered pitch. Distantly, as if in a dream, she could hear as Stephy scored again. The time to catch the snitch was now. Rigby closed her eyes and closed her fingers...

The snitch immdiatly stilled, settling calmly into Rigby's closed fist. She was so happy and amazed at her good fortune that for several long seconds she forgot to fly and dropped almost to the ground before she could make a recovery.

Rigby was excited about her snitch catch, but for once in her life she was also excited about a trip the infirmary. After Etta and her golden bat attack she was going to need at least a week's rest!

(Commentator)

"Wow..." June whispered, although her voice charm magnified the words. "Stephy scored two goals for Ravenclaw, so the score was 20-20.. but Rigby for Ravenclaw has caught the snitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The Ravenclaw side of the stadium exploded into cheers and so did June. "Congratulations Ravenclaw!" she cried. Pointing her wand at her throat once more, she muttered, "Quietus."
