Weather: It's night time on the quidditch pitch with a starry sky and a full moon out. Temperature in the high 60s with a slight breeze coming from the northeast, not a raindrop in the sky.

Notes: Welcome to the second match of the Quidditch Cup! Good luck to all players!

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Nancy walked out onto the quidditch pitch, a huge smile placed on her lips and sporting the magnificent blue and bronze Ravenclaw quidditch robes.. She took a deep breath of the cool air, filling her lungs with the night. She placed her legs on either side of her broom and gripped the front handle tightly and with a mighty kick, she began to take flight into the darkened sky.

She immediately felt that familiar feeling of soaring high into the sky. The wind flowed silently through the delicate strands of her blonde hair, her hear rate quickened and she could feel that adrenaline rush that she had missed over the last few weeks.

As she approached the hoops, she scanned the pitch with her deep green eyes and saw that no one had yet arrived. She quickly made her way to the middle goal post and turned her broom around, her eyes searching the area stealthily. When the rest of her team arrived and then the others, she would be ready to do her job, and do it well.

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

Elana ran down to the pitch from the castle, literally jumping for joy into their locker room. She slid into her royal Ravenclaw blue Quidditch robes, laced up her boots, snapped on the protective guards, and lovingly took her bat and broom from the safety of her locker. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, grinning. She slowly exhaled through her mouth and her eyes popped open, their emerald shining in the bright light of the locker room. It was time. Elana proudly strode out of the locker room, excitement bubbling up inside her as she walked onto the pitch.

She took a look up at the sky, still beaming, as she swung a leg over her broom. The night was clear, warm, and the moon shone bright, lighting up the pitch. She kicked off from the firm ground, loving the feel of the wind. Elana hovored at eyelevel with the stands, and flipped her head over to tie up her hair. Once it was properly restrained she turned her attention to the entrance to the pitch. She blocked the noise of the crowd out of her ears as she awaited the arrival of the other players.

Elana looked over to the goals to see if their Keeper had come, and, sure enough, saw the lovely Nancy there- ready to guard the goals with her life. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that...Anyway, Elana smiled and waved at Nancy, glad to have her with them. She was a wonderful asset to their team already. Elana kept grinning- nothing would dampen her high spirits tonight.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy stepped onto the pitch, taking in the smell of freshly cut grass and the roar of the crowd. Today was an important day, Ravenclaw versus Slytherin, in more ways than one.

With a grin set on his face, he mounted his broom, kicking off from the ground and into the air with a feeling of unbridled elation. It had been far, far too long since he'd been flying, and this was a luxury than he took to the extreme, running a complete circuit around the pitch before high-fiving Elana.

"Ready?" He asked, tossing his bat in the air before catching it again, looking out towards the Slytherin hoops.

(Slytherin Keeper and Captain)

Raistlin hurried through the pitch and saw already several Ravenclaws on the air.

"Meh of course they're already here shouldn't have expected anything less."

Raistlin quickly mounted his broom and got up in the air heading to the Slytherin Goalposts

"It's been a while since these have been guarded let's hope we're more successful now"

Raistlin was now in front of the middle goal posts with a grave look

"Ravenclaw... let's just see what happens"

Raistlin waited for more players to arrive and the game to start.

(Slytherin Beater)

Cat flew out to the pitch, her green and silver quidditch robes flapping as she went. She held her beater bat in her swinging hand and held tight to the broom with her other. Her eyes scanned the field. Three Ravenclaws had already arrived: a keeper, Nancy, and two beaters, Elana and Jimmy.

Another game, another term, and another chance for Slytherin to show off their talent. Cat loved quidditch, mainly thanks to her mom the Great and Wonderful Nancy who unfortunately was on the opposing team. She wasn't going to let her friend being on the other team let her lose focus though.

[Ravenclaw Chaser]

Another year, another term and a whole new ball game! Today would be the first game of the new term for her team and she couldn't be more than excited! Lily was practically bubbling to the brim and it showed on her delicate features as she had almost literally skipped down the hallways of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that morning. The slate was wiped clean and they would once again have to start at the very beginning. There was no doubt in her mind that their Quidditch team wasn't capable of carrying on the torch - after all - they had won the cup two times in a row, a feet never before accomplished! Something that she was very proud of. They could buckle under the pressure of trying to maintain their title but Lily wasn't really all that worried. Quidditch ran through her veins, pumping with adrenalin. It was just a game, just a sport but her love for it was boundless and endless. Some might have thought it was just work but to her team it was much more than that. Their team was all about family and as long as they did their very best she could never fault them. Of course she wanted to win the cup again but if they didn't - they didn't. It would just be like any of term for them!

There hadn't been many changes to the roster that year - new faces had joined and old faces had returned! Lily was happy to see that her happy family was coming together once more. She was optimistic about the future of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. The last time they had been on the field had been a spectacular display of their skill! With this thought in mind Lily had made her way towards the locker room early that day to prepare. Blue quidditch robes had been pressed and ready in sparkling condition. Impeccable - blue was a lovely color on her. Despite her excitement she had been able to calmly slip into the robes that bore her house colors. She was proud of be Captain of this quidditch team for the fourth term in a row. Four terms. It seemed like only yesterday she stepped onto the quidditch pitch for the first time - so long ago. The game had seemed like a success but Lily was embarrassed with her own poor performance - practiced had made almost perfect in years past. But in her mind there was always room for improvement! No matter how many times they won the cup, she would not let it go to her teams head. They couldn't afford it.

Chocolate brown hues would glance towards the Firebolt tucked away in the back of her locker and she couldn't help the small smile that curled at the corners of her lips. Her old friend, the handle may have been a little worn and the tail ends of her broom singed slightly from the time it had been accidentally set on fire - a first year from Slytherin thought it might have been funny to steal her broom and harm it, they of course that met the wrath of Lily (not a pretty sight). Outside that, her broom was well taken care of and in perfect condition. Reaching out her newly gloved hand, she'd grasp the handle in her hand, bringing it towards her. Her gaze would give the broom a lingering once over to make sure nothing had happened to it. Nodding her head in approval, the locker room was perfectly silent and still. The rest of her team would soon pile in - but for now she would spend this time to herself, in thought of the upcoming game and the speech she would be about to make. A few words of encouragement never hurt and it was tradition at the beginning of a new season.

The sound of footsteps would fill her ears soon enough as her head would turn towards the locker room door, pushed almost violently open. Her team had arrived in one big wave, piling into the spacious locker room set aside of the members of the Ravenclaw team. The reserves that wouldn't be able to play in this came had crowded in the stands to cheer on their teammates. They may not have been able to play now but they would soon all have a chance to play. Walking towards the door leading out towards the quidditch pitch - Lily would stand their waiting for her team to finish changing. Excited chatter filled the room - all of them seemed ready for the match. Just like them of course. No matter how many cups they won, or how many games they won or lost - they genuinely loved quidditch as the sport. Something she was happy to pass on to them all. When they had all been changed and ready she would see all their heads turn towards her - waiting for the eminent speech they knew would come and she of course would never disappoint!

"Well it seems like we're back once more! It's a new season and as usual great things are expected from this team and you know what I have to say about that? Forget about it! The two cups we've already won - they are just a faint memory. The games we've won and lost - they're past us. This is now and right now we're all even. I'm happy to be your captain once more (even though I've been chained) and as you all know my co-captain for this term has been decided upon so I'd like to give Anthony a warm welcome! When I can't be here - look to him. I've got faith in him believe it or not (*chuckles*). There isn't much that I can say to you that you haven't heard before. I want to say how proud I am of all of you. You're my family and I love you all dearly. I'm proud to walk out on that field with you today. I may be your captain but I see you all as equals. Trust your intuition - believe in yourselves and it will never lead you astray! Fly hard - fly strong and as always it's one for all and all for one! Let's go show Slytherin what we're made of!"

Her fist would pump into the air as she heard the cheers of her teammates. Turning quickly on her heel she push open the door as it would swing on it's hinges. She knew her team would follow suit as she led them down the short hallway towards the pitch. The bright lights of the field flooded through the tunnel entrance, this was to be a night game! What a way to start the season if you were to ask her! Broom slung over her shoulder, she'd stand there and watched as her team passed her to head out to the pitch. She'd wait till they'd all leave, giving them each a smile and a wink to her co-captain. The announcements of the commentator had been drowned out by the loud roar of the crowd as the Ravenclaw team had been announced. She was to be the last of course as she reached into her pocket - pulling out a hair tie. Gathering up her long locks of chocolate brown hair she would sweep them up into a high ponytail, pulling down tight.

At the sound of her name she would rush out onto the field. Without a second thought she would bring her broom down and under as she leaped, feet hitting the ground and pushing off hard. In seconds she was up in the air, cutting through the night air. The wind would scatter her long locks of hair that would be secured in the ponytail. She would lose herself up there as she would shut out the outside world. Her gaze would become alert as she flew once around the field - waving down to all her friends. The Ravenclaw reserve team had huddled together in one corner - banners waving high. Their very own eagle mascot (IE Jason in the eagle suit) had joined them below, flaring his 'wings' as it were. Smiling widely it was a starry sky up above as the full moon would glow bright and madam hooch could already be seen in the corner of her gaze, carrying the crate that contained the game balls. Pulling her broom towards the side she'd fly towards the center to meet the Slytherin Captain. Offering a tight smile she'd shake Raistlin's hand.

"Good luck Raistlin!"

Nodding once she'd fly off back to her team as they would get back in position. She expected this to be a rousing game of quidditch! As Madam Hooch would kick open the crate, the bludgers were let loose and the snitch was released. The Quaffle would be the only remaining ball left, which the Quidditch referee had tucked securely under her arm as she grabbed her broom and joined the other fourteen players up in the sky. Gripping on her broom tight she couldn't wait for the start of the game. It had seemed like hours and she could tell her own team was just as antsy as she was. Come on already! It was becoming too much for the chaser to take as she waited....and then - there it went! The quaffle had been release and there Lily went in the blink of an eye!

"Let's go Ravenclaw!"

It would be a fight to the death so to speak as Lily and her Ravenclaw Chasers flying from one direction towards the quaffle and the Slytherin chasers coming from the opposite side. It would be a bad collision if someone hadn't pulled ahead. Making a fast maneuver she would pull up on her broom - barely missing two chasers almost crashing into each other. Fingertips outstretched, she'd securely wrap them around the familiar leather fabric of the quaffle. It was there's! And Lily would zoom off towards the Slytherin side of the pitch.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Nancy smiled as she saw Elana fly onto the pitch and returned her wave. “Hey Elana!“ She shouted out cheerfully. It was such a great feeling to belong to a team who worked so well together and were so friendly toward one another. It was all about team spirit, hard work and dedication. The new term was going to be exciting, fun and rewarding.

Her smile widened considerably as she saw Lily and Jimmy fly onto the pitch. She waved at Lily and winked at Jimmy as they passed. Her gaze watching their every movement intently, watching the area of the pitch with dedicated eyes. This was her first game of the new term. Her first game with Ravenclaw and she was going to do all that she could to help lead her team to victory.

She moved her broom a bit forward and circled the immediate area in front of the hoops, her legs holding tightly to the wooden broomstick, her hands curled around the end. She leaned forward slightly and made small but elegant figure eights in the air, weaving in and out, in and out around her sacred hoops.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy began to fly in and out, through and through the assembled Ravenclaws as they all took their positions. In all honesty, he'd never felt better than he did now, after that long hiatus the feel of the wind in his hair was like a wave of fresh air. All thoughts of exams and classes were dispelled as he began to focus on the moment, on the odd whistling that was right by his...

A bludger!

With a swerve of his broomstick, he took off in the direction of the noise, gunning his broomstick forward as he neared the small, streaking black ball.

"ELANA! He cried, struggling to match the speed. "Catch!"

As he approached the ball, he let loose with an almighty smash of his bat, sending it off towards his fellow Raven.

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

Jimmy! Elana's grin broadened as her fellow Beater flew up, now she was even more excited than before. It was time to crush those Slytherins- and who better to do that than the two most overenthusiastic Ravenclaw Beaters the HE has ever seen? She had gone too long without Quidditch, that was true- and more than ready to play!

"Of course I am!" Elana replied, beaming ear to ear as a few Slytherins walked onto the pitch. "Time to show those snakes what they're up against. Now, where have those Bludgers run off to?"

Jimmy sped up, and in no time had a Bludger. "ELANA! Catch!"

Then it struck her- not the Bludger, but an idea. The Keeper. Get the Keeper involved. Right. Nancy it is.

"I got it! I got it!" she yelled. Elana raised her bat and swung as it came at her. It soared over to- no, not a Slytherin (yet) -their Keeper! Hoping that she wouldn't be taken by suprise and get hurt, Elana also hoped she'd find something good to do with that Bludger...that would possibly involve a former teammate. Elana glued her eyes to the Bludger's path, gloved fingers crossing subconsiously for luck.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Nancy smirked as she saw the Slytherins filtering onto the pitch and she quickly took her place once more in front of the hoops. Her eyes once more focused on all that was going on around her.

She watched intently as Jimmy knocked a bludger towards Elana and her smile once more returned to her lips. She continued to hover on the spot, eyes darting around the pitch and then watched as Elana pulled her arm back and gave her bat a mighty swing, the bludger heading straight towards Nancy and the hoops she was guarding.

Nancy turned her broom towards the right and moved several feet forward as the hard bludger moved closer and closer to her. She wanted to get in on the action of the game and what better way than to use this lovely little ball that was heading her way. She gripped the front of her broom hard and pulled it quickly to one side, causing her and the broom to move quickly towards the black ball. The end of her broom made contact with the bludger and she gave it a hard pull, hitting the bludger with all of her strength.

She watched with wide eyes as the bludger began to fly hard and fast toward the Slytherin keeper. It would be very difficult for him to avoid it’s wrath.

[Ravenclaw Chaser]

It wouldn't take her long to enter Slytherin territory with the quaffle safely tucked under her arm for the time being. But Lily knew she would be a prime target for stray bludgers and angry Chasers gunning for her. After all, she had almost caused a major crash back there just to gain the upper hand on the quaffle. But that was just how the game was played and one had to be ready for just about anything when they entered the quidditch pitch! Glancing towards the side, she'd keep sharp eyes open, she may have been looking ahead but she would take a quick glance back to find two Slytherin chasers flanking either side of her. Gritting her teeth she'd push her broom faster, urging it to move forward but that wouldn't be the only obstacle she would have to face. If she hadn't heard the sound of a bludger being smashed off towards the side of her at close range, Lily knew she would be a goner. Quick on her toes she didn't even stop to think about what she was doing. Throwing her weight towards the right, she threw her chest forward, lying it flat against the handle of her broom, the quaffle had been placed underneath, to keep it from falling. Just before the bludger was about to connect, she had rolled over upside down, narrowly missing it as it would barely skim the surface of her broom passing over her.

"Watch where you're hitting those things! Someone could get seriously hurt you know?!?!"

Lily would shout towards the Slytherin beater, glaring at them. Angrily she would continue on her path towards the Slytherin goal posts, she knew her teammates had been working on a play, perfectly timed with her own. They didn't really need a captain, all of them were capable for the position but no matter what they would never let her go and she knew that. Barrel rolling forward as she'd spin towards Raistlin, he was her target and a bludger that had bee sent towards him by Nancy had proved to be a great decoy. Entering the goal area, Lily would be the only Ravenclaw in sight, no stooging here! Smoothly curving her broom towards the right, she raced ahead, trying to beat Raistlin to the punch as she pulled out of the rolling motion, aiming for the goal post furthest to the right. Letting go of the soft leather, Lily wouldn't bother to see if it had gone through as she let it go and flew off. All the while, attempting not to slam into the stands this early in the game. She couldn't afford to get injured.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Nancy smiled and cheered as Lily made her way closer and closer to the Slytherin side of the pitch. She could feel her heart racing in her chest and then, she saw the quaffle safely making it through the hoop, scoring the first goal for Ravenclaw.

“RA RA RAVENCLAW, RA RA RAVENCLAW!!!” Nancy shouted, her hand moving upward to give Lily a thumbs up before she placed both hands back on her broom and headed fast and furiously to her own hoops, turning her broom sharply so she was directly in front of the middle goal post.

She once more hovered in mid air and waited and watch for more action to take place. Her game face quickly returning and her eyes narrowing for a clear focus on her surroundings.

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

Yes! Nancy had whacked the Bludger at Rai and Lily had scored! What an absolutely lovely way to start a game!

Heeeere Bludger, Bludger, Bludger...

Where and why were they hiding tonight? Elana casually flew about, looking around for the two tricky black balls full of mischief. She furrowed her brow, for they were no where to be found. Elana found herself with a slight pout upon her usually cheery face, when from behind her she heard the unmistakable woosh of a speeding Bludger. Eeks! thought a suprised Elana before she tightened her hold of her beloved broom with her hands and feet and swung down. She saw one of the Bludgers zoom inches above her fingers, and the other follow. She took a look after them to make sure they weren't coming back to attack her. Reassured, she flipped back up and took off after them.

Elana wove through the crowd of players, all zooming about in different directions but after the same goal. To win the Quidditch Cup was something Ravenclaw had done for the past two terms and were planning to get it again. But that didn't mean that they were getting cocky and slacking off- oh no no no. Practice makes perfect, and so it had been practice, practice, practice these past few weeks in their every free moment. But their hard work would surely pay off, and it already was!

She neared the Bludgers, and reached out with an arm to whack one up high. She followed right behind and surveyed the pitch from her bird's eye view of it. Aha! A Slytherin player unguarded...that called for a Bludger. Elana took aim and gave the Bludger a hard whack- it took off towards the Slytherin, gaining speed as it went...

(Slytherin Keeper and Captain)

Raistlin watched as Elana wacked a Bludger to Nancy, their keeper, finding it rather interesting. Then he saw Nancy wacking the bludger back to him "Everyone wants to be a neater nowadays" he thought rolling his eyes.

Nancy was good and the bludger was coming at great speed but she was on the other end of the pitch so he'd have plenty of time to dodge it.

His attention however was drawn to Lily as she was fastly approaching the Slytherin scoring area. However she was behaving like she was being chased fact Raistlin found rather amusing as no Slytheirn chaser had arrived yet and only one beater was there.

Raistlin had lost track of the bludger when he had looked at lily so when he realised the bludger was too close already. Doing a quick Sloth Grip Roll Raistlin was now hanging upside down when Lily sent the quaffle soaring through the right hoop scoring the first points of the game.

"Just great. Where the hell is Slytherin I can't take chasers, beaters and apparently keepers at the same time."

Raistlin got back to normal in his broom and waited for another play of Ravenclaw.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby made her way somewhat sluggishly to the Ravenclaw locker rooms. She'd had a very tiring week, and what she had thought was allergies had in fact turned into a late summer cold. The potions that she was taking in order to breathe also made her a bit sleepy, so she had skipped her morning dose. It was the first game of the new term, and even if she was late, she didn't want to be too tired to play at her best.

She hit the locker room doors hard, and the instant her foot stepped in, it was as if someone had just giving her an expresso IV. Rigby was awake and fully alert! That particular smell that she associated with quidditch hit her nostrils and exicited her senses. Now that the lingering aroma of her previously messy locker had disappated, the locker room was filled with only pleasant aromas. Of course, her nose was a bit stuffed up, so maybe it was filtering out the not so nice smells...

Rigby bounded over to her locker, neatly hopping over the benches. Her locker was so clean now that it practically sparkled, and thanks to Elana's magical aroma spray, it no longer stunk. Grabbing her quidditch robes, Rigby threw them on, in a hurry to take advantage of her energy rush out on the pitch. She stuffed some tissues in her pocket, wrestled her long red hair into a ponytail, and grabbed her broom. She hopped on her freshly polished broom before she even reached the outdoors.

Hovering for a moment on the edge of the pitch, she looked up to see a whirlwind of activity. She smiled widely, taking in the scene of her teammates swarming the pitch. This was promising to be the best start to a season that they had ever gotten off to, and she was super excited to be playing against Slytherin, since they were always a worthy opponent. Rigby rocketed high into the sky, her brilliant blue robes swirling in the around her. She waved to Lily, Elana, Nancy and Jimmy, nodded at Cat and Raisty.

Without a thought, her eyes were already scanning for the snitch. She knew they would not rest until the golden ball was spotted. Rigby knew she would do well as long as she concentrated all her efforts on the game and didn't dwell on her stuffed up nose and aching head. Her nasal passages were beginning to swell up again, so she started breathing through her mouth. It wasn't the most attractive look for her, and it guaranteed a mouthful of bugs whilst she was flying, but Rigby would do anything that was necessary for her team.

(Commentator)

Eek!!!!! June was late, she was late, for a very important date! Glancing at her alarm clock, she groaned aloud and rolled her eyes. Apparently, the charm allowing it to ring had worn off.... again... She sighed. Exhausted from homework and events, June had decided to take a little nap before the Quidditch game... "Little". As June got rapidly dressed, she noticed her window moving... huh?! She finished throwing a gossamer red scarf around her neck and checked the window. It wasn't moving... those were players! The Quidditch game had already started! Of course, she knew that already... but it was so much more shocking to actually see it. Cursing her alarm clock under her breath, June grabbed her Omnioculars and raced out of her dorm room, heading for the Pitch. As she ran through the hallways, she sighed as she noticed clumps of students giving her a wide path... Why weren't they at the Quidditch game already? June shouted that very question aloud, as she ran down the steps outside. ... Perhaps they hadn't even heard her. Mentally shrugging, June raced to the stands and climbed the steps, three at a time.

"Where were you?!" Professor McGonagall asked, her expression irate. June bit her lip and said, "Sorry, my alarm clock didn't work." The Professor rolled her eyes and grudgingly handed the Gryffindor the microphone. Hurriedly, in a clipped voice, McGonagall filled June in on what had happened already. June's eyes widened slowly. The Ravenclaws had already scored?! Gah... she must be later than she'd realized. Sighing, June turned the microphone on. "Testing... 1... 2... 3..." She jumped a little as the mic blared her voice out, magnified more times than she could probably count.

"Okay everyone, sorry to be late!" June cried, "But now, your commentator is here!!! In the air for Ravenclaw are Lily, Elana, Rigby, Nancy, and Jimmy! In the air for Slytherin are Raistlin and Cat! I'm sorry if I've missed anyone... just come over and yell at me, for oversleeping and missing the beginning of the game. Or better yet, concentrate on said game and come over to yell at me later! Anyway, Ravenclaw has already gotten a score in and from what Professor McGonagall tells me, there was some fancy Beater work between Jimmy, Elana, and Nancy (although she's not a beater)." That said, June hummed quietly to herself, wondering if she'd missed anything... or anyone.

(Slytherin Seeker)

Nasha chewed at her bottom lip as she marched up towards the quidittch pitch from the Hogwarts Castle. She was nervously gripping the handle of her broomstick, her knuckles slowly turning white. Nasha let her eyes wander up at the flying figures in the air as she drew closer with each step.

Her stomach lurched and she suddenly felt a wave of nausea overcome her. A billion thoughts ran through her mind as she hesitated in her steps. This was her first game and the captain had chosen her to play seeker. Although, she was happy to comply to this request, she couldn't help but feel extremely nervous. This had caused the lateness of her arrival.

A burst of screaming and chanting met her ears as Nasha reached the sidelines of the pitch. The slythrin colors were flying high and her housemates opposed to the Ravenclaws who were screaming and waving wildly. The crowd was pumped.

Nasha took in a huge shaky breath and slowly let it out before swinging a leg over her broom and kicking off a few feet into the air. She wavered slightly and only when she felt herself stable enough to continue did she blast off into the air.

What am I looking for...what am I looking for? Nasha thought as she glanced around the pitch. The Snitch! Crud...okay. So where is it? She hovered around the middle of the pitch, lost in her search. Why'd they make the thing so darn small?! How am I supposed to -

Nasha's train of thought stopped when a glint of gold streaked by and over her shoulder.

Okay, I can do this! She thought to herself and she turned her broom around, her eyes glued onto the small gold object.

June jumped suddenly as something sharp hit her square in the back. “Hey!” she said, narrowing her eyes. “Watch where you poke that thing.” The first year Slytherin who’d mistakenly poked her in the back with the tip of a Slytherin flag just nodded absently and turned to his friend, talking excitedly about something or other. June turned around and rolled her eyes. She scanned the air… the players were blurs of blue and green, silver and black. Then, she heard the Slytherin first year shout something about “Seeker”.

Was the Slytherin Seeker in the air? Picking up her Omnioculars, June hung them around her neck and placed them on her eyes. She carefully spun the dials to make sure the settings were just right and looked for the Slytherin Seeker. There! June focused in on the player and placed the microphone to her mouth. “And Natasha, the Slytherin Seeker, is in the air!” June cried, amid cheers from the Slytherin-supporting spectators. “And it looks like she’s seen the snitch!” June turned her head this way and that, wondering what Rigby would do.

Raistlin was happily entertained hearing June’s comments when he saw Nasha arriving in the pitch.

“Good, very good. Let’s see how she goes under pressure. She’s going against Kate and that’s never easy even for a Veteran less saying a Newbie.”

Raistlin decided to cheer for her

“GO Nas…” he stopped when he saw that she that her eyes had caught something so he decided not to distract her.

Raistlin began flying around the hoops demonstrating his nervousness which his face wasn’t showing even though his body was as rigid as his broomstick.

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

Kate, their beyond fabulous Seeker, had joined them! As the wonderful girl flew by, Elana caught a wiff of her magical aroma spray (xD) from her robes. That locker had been a mess! And had smelled worse than that potion gone wrong in class last year that had stunk up the entire dungeons...

Anyway, Elana was delighted to see Kate flying with them, but the poor thing had a cold. She was jerked out of her thoughts by seeing a flash of green streak by. She followed it with her eyes and nearly jumped off of her broom in shock.

AHHHHH NO!!! The new Slytherin Seeker had already seen the Snitch! Elana rapidly raced towards a Bludger, needing to distract the Seeker from her goal with, say, a large, hard, black ball that would break her arm if hit directly. Not that Elana would be aiming to kill or anything...

She whacked the Bludger at the unsuspecting Seeker, hoping it would at least distract her from her task if not hit her. Come on Kate! Elana thought. We can win this!

(Slytherin Beater)

Jess groaned at the annoying little bunny that kept running past her "your late your late for a very important date!" it kept singing the stupid song over and over..Thats when she woke up.

It was not really a bunny, she was not in a medow, and life was not all good. She was in bed, with her alarm clock singing too her over and over again. She looked at the clock and almost had an anyurism. She was over a day late for the quiddtich match. Explaining this to there captain, probably wouldnt go over well.

She jumped up and magicked herself decent. With her slytherin cheer uniform snug and proper, in its long lost place, She slipped the pom poms and beaters batt into her bag and ran out of her dorm grabbing her broom on the way.

she headed for the field and immediatly jumped on her broom. "Alright stupid birds, your going down." she slipped the bag off and let it hang loosly from the back of her broom. 'Hmm,' she thought, 'Which Ravenclaw to hit first.'

Thats when she saw the bludger heading for nasha and sighed. She flew quickly over to it, and hit it as hard as she could back the way it came, hoping whoever hit it was still there (as she was too tired and lazy to look at Elana).

She sighed again, 'So, which Ravie have I had a particular grudge for this week.' It only took her a miniute to decide that her mom was going to get this blow, and before she knew it she was off to search for a bludger.

As soon as she spotted one she hit it in her famouse, Archy Arch move, and watched it soar towards Lily.....

"Pretty..." June murmured as she stared at the moon. "It looks like... yummy cheese..." She sighed... and then shook herself. Focus, June, focus! She looked at all the players and then suddenly stopped. As a Beater herself, she could spy Bludgers very quickly... and one was heading for Natasha! She opened her mouth, about to shout a warning, when a blur of green and silver flew to the bludger and knocked it towards Elana! She breathed a sigh of relief and realized that she probably better start commentating right now.

"Elana, Ravenclaw Beater, hit a bludger towards Natasha, the Slytherin seeker, but it was blocked and returned by Jess, a Slytherin Beater! Jess has just flown into the air, and is already proving why she's on the Quidditch team. Uh oh! It looks like a bludger's heading towards Lily!!!"

Raistlin saw a blur of green reaching the field and before he knew it the blur was already spreading bludgers.

Finally he realized it’s was Jess. His first thought was to shout at the late girl but then he saw she was already causing some damage which appease him “Well Jess can be many things but she sure is a hell of a beater, let’s hope she causes some real damage.”

Raistlin was now more relaxed e knew she and cat would do well in keeping Slytherins safe and Ravenclaws busy.

Raistlin was dying to try a move he hadn’t had the chance in practice, the Starfish and Stick so he hold the broom horizontally with one hand and one foot curled around the handle while keeping all limbs outstretched. As this was the first time he was doing it was taking quite long but he expected that with practice he’s be able to do it fast and that way use it as a great defense against quaffles that’d normally be out of reach if he stood in one place.

Thinking he was probably in an awkward position for others to see he got back to his normal place over the broom and watched the game carefully.

(Slytherin Seeker)

Nasha could hear June commenting the game in the background and the blast of cheers from the Slytherins seemed to double. The snitch was still in her sight, but it was undeniably fast as it zipped here and there, taking sharp turns that sometimes swerved her of course. Nasha pursed her lips as she carefully leaned forward to gain speed, but her eyes wandered at a slight movement from her left.

A ravenclaw beater by the name of Elana seemed shocked at her sudden appearance on the field. Nasha furrowed her brows as the girl raised her bat and swung a bludger in her direction. Not prepared for this, Nasha panicked and unvoluntarily lost slight control of her broomstick. Cursing herself for not focusing, Nasha regained control and thanked Merlin when her fellow teammate rushed to her rescue and whacked the oncoming bludger back to where it came from.

That lone Ravenclaw had another thing coming.

Oh, the snitch! Nasha thought her mind drifting back to her task. She scanned the area and let out an exaggerated sigh. I lost it! Darn that Ravenclaw Beater!

Nasha took off and went back to her hunt for the golden snitch

(Commentator)

June watched avidly through her Omnioculars, trying to follow Nasha’s progress and the snitch. She’d probably get killed be McGonagall (and Slytherin’s many enthusiastic fans) if the Seeker caught the snitch… and June didn’t report it because she’d been staring at the moon. She sighed (half in relief, half in disappointment) as it seemed that the snitch had been lost, because of Elana’s bludger towards Nasha.

Deciding that it was probably time to tell everyone, June said aloud, “And it looks like Nasha has lost track of the snitch, due to Elana’s bludger.” The Slytherin side of the stadium let out a collective groan as the Ravenclaws cheered. “And Raistlin, the Slytherin Keeper, just did an interesting Starfish and Stick maneuver… and the quaffle wasn’t near his goals. Perhaps Raistlin has perfected his Legilimency skills… or maybe he’s just being prepared, in case the quaffle gets painted with invisible ink.”

June rolled her eyes at herself. Why oh why did she even try to commentate when she was semi-asleep???? She sighed. It never turned out well…

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Anthony awoke realizing he was extremely late for the first game of the new term. Mentally berating himself he jumped out of bed and without even attempting to ready himself, he exited the dorms and made straight for the pitch, running at full speed through the empty halls. It wasn't long before he had made his way into the locker room where he sloppily threw on his Blue and Bronze quidditch robes, grabbed his matching Firebolt and ran out onto the pitch. Without stopping his eyes saw that his team and the Slytherin's were doing much for their respective sides. Swinging his leg ove the handle of his broom he kicked off hard and in a blaze of glory sored straight into the air.

"Sorry for being so late guys!" He would shout out to his teammates over the whipping wind and roaring of the crowd. With the apology out he immediately searched the pitch for the crimson sphere that he would soon have in his posession. Within moments his gaze caught the faint glimpse of the quaffle, and in bullet like speed he lied flat against his broom making straight for it. He would close the distance within in seconds, snatching it from the air, the sting slightly sending a jolting tingle up his arm as his hand wrapped around the ball. With the quaffle now in his hand he looked back at his keeper Nancy and gave a firm nod before passing it to her. The play was now being set up and in moments they would execute another of their famous team maneuvers.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Nancy watched as Kate flew onto the pitch and she smiled at her friend. Most of her team had now arrived and things were looking good. Teamwork. This is what made their team play so well. They were united both off of the pitch and on and always there to support each other.

Her green eyes then lit up as she saw another of their Chasers enter the game. Anthony. A grin spread across her lips and she waved to him. "Great to see you joined us!" She sang happily and then once more, focused herself on every players action on the pitch.
She watched in Europhilia as Anthony wasted no time retrieving the quaffle. His stealth and drive taking precedence.

As she continued to watch, she saw Anthony just avoid being tackled on the field and she saw him throw the quaffle toward her. She tightened the hold on her broom with her legs and shot quickly forward, her hands coming out to grip the ball tightly. Once she saw Anthony was once again able to continue with the play she threw the quaffle back to him, flying close to him to make sure that he indeed gained possession of it.

She then circled herself back around and once more was placed in front of the Ravenclaw hoops. And then, she watched.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Hovereing in place for a few moments Anthony looked back and saw that their Keeper had caught the quaffle and was sending it back towards his way. Wasting no time Anthony never allowed any Slytherin a chance to make a play and he sped forward meeting it. With it once again in his posession he made a quick 180 beginning his charge down the pitch. Focus and determination written plainly on his features, the only objective was scoring a goal for his team. It wasn't long before he had the protection of the two finest Beaters circling him as they all three rocketed forth. With the quaffle secured tight Anthony nodded at them both as they weaved and flew in perfect unison down the dangerous and crowded pitch.

With Jimmy and Elana both circling him he had no worries about bludgers or Chasers trying to hinder his approach. He could remained focused on scorin and only scoring. Their speed picked up, contrails in their wake, heading straight for their destination, the Slytherin goals.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Oh, the joys of Quidditch. He hadn’t been to practice much over the last week, but this play was as familiar as an old friend to him now after the last three seasons. He watched as a little game of Quaffle tennis erupted between Nancy and Anthony, before the blue-robed chaser began streaking down the centre of the pitch rapidly. Jimmy gunned his broom as he followed the charge.

As he neared Anthony, he pulled on his broom ever so lightly, smiling at its responsiveness as his yaw began to tilt ever so slightly while his momentum carried him forward, locking with an almost tensile feeling into a cylindrical spin around the chaser, dissuading any Slytherin chasers from trying to tackle lest they collide with him, and providing a virtual shield against bludgers. He spared a glance over to the side, where Elana was also taking up position.

This was entirely at the peril of his life and limb of course, but what was life without a little risk?

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

Yes! It had worked- to some extent. Natasha had lost track of the Snitch for now, but Jess had arrived and sent the Bludger right back at the Ravenclaw Beater, and another at Lily! Eep! thought Elana before she quickly shot up into the air, the Bludger cracking off the ends of the longest twigs. But no bodily harm was done- thank goodness, for Jimmy had just called for a play that needed everybody in tip-top condition. But before that could be done, Elana flew at Lily, needing to get there before the Bludger did.

It was a close call, but, thankfully, she made it. Elana nodded at her fellow Beater and joined two of her teammates- Anthony and Jimmy -in their Corkscrew and Bayonet play. Jimmy was already circling the Chaser in one direction, so Elana hurried to fly in the other direction as they made their way down the pitch.

Her not hitting Jimmy and Anthony was a large part of this play. If any of them collided it would be all for nothing. She kept her eyes sharp and reflexes sharper as the two Beaters and a Bludger, as it would seem to an outsider, chaoticly zoomed about Anthony.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

A quick barrel roll would be executed, mainly just for show, it had no strategic value to it given he had the protection of both beaters charging the field along side. He couldn't help but allow a small grin to run the length of his lips. Tightening his hand around the quaffle preparing himself for the perfect moment, he kept on hand gripped firmly to his broom as they drew ever closer to their opponet's end of the pitch. Drawing his hand back Anthony eyed the center hoop, and hearing the two whacks of his Beater's smashing their bludgers straight for the Keeper, Anthony laid flat once again as Jimmy and Elana parted ways giving him room as he shot right through the two chasing down the very bludgers now heading for the Keeper.

With his target in sight, quaffle poised and ready to be launched Anthony used all of his momentum to power his throw. The bludgers have done their job opening up a clear shot for him, and heaving the the sphere forth Anthony eyed it carefully hoping his aim was straight and true.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

As she watched her teammates work in both unity and perfect harmony, she couldn’t help but widen her grin a bit. It all seemed to be going flawless. Anthony was making a clear getaway to the Slytherin side of the pitch and Elana and Jimmy were covering him from every which angle.

She then saw Anthony making his way closer and closer to the hoop and she momentarily held her breath.....

(Slytherin Beater)

Jess growled as the bludger that had been sent for lily, was recepted by an annoying bird.

She quickly caught up to the bludger and used her batt to beat it like a ping pong ball up in the air and letting the bludger come back down and popping it back up. She scoped out the ravenclaws as she did this, and eyeing Elana, who had obviously not been hit by the previous bludger sent her way, she popped the bludger one moer time in the air, and aiming for elana's back hit it straight at her, watching the bludger swivel and twirl at its target.

“Oh, okay, maybe it would have been better to practice more.” He mumbled, struggling to see straight as he looked around for one of the ever present bludgers whistling around the field. As Anthony finished his run, he heard the distinctive, shrill noise and broke off from the column carefully (lest he collide with Elana, to make some sort of jumbled Elana and Jimmy mix) and rose to meet the small, dark ball.

As Anthony released the Quaffle, Jimmy smashed the bludger headed for Elana, watching as it arced towards the green-robed Keeper gracefully.

They were there! As Anthony shot the Quaffle at a hoop and Jimmy shot his Bludger the Keeper and Elana shot hers at the Slytherin Captain from his other side. The thunderous THWACK of their clubs hitting the Bludger would let Rai know just why they were there- besides scoring, of course. He couldn't dodge both Bludgers and get the Quaffle, she realized with just the hint of a smirk playing upon her lips. Her flushed face positively glowed in the moonlight as she let that smirk grow. She had known her team before to play together as well as this...but it was still an amazing experience to be a part of, and she wouldn't, and couldn't, ever trade it for anything else.

But it wasn't like after that one shot they were done- uh huh, they alwasy had work to do. And so she flew off into position for their next play, deciding once again, that there was no harder working team than the one she was proud to play on.

(Slytherin Beater)

Jess growled at the stupid Ravenclaw who had recepted a bludger sent for Elana, and flew after the one heading for , She got to it just in time and sadly, though she didnt want to do this aimed the bludger straight for Ledgy, trying to distract him from his stance.

"RA RA RAVENCLAW!!!"

She shouted and then, focused once more on protecting her hoops.

But then….

In a moment of pure adreniline and wanting in on the action, Nancy leaned her body forward on her broom and shot quickly across the pitch, sailing past several players from both her team and Slytherins. She made her way closer and closer to where the open quaffle was and then reached out and grabbed it, securing it tightly in her left hand as she spun herself around and aimed her firebolt toward Anthony. With a smile on her face she flew beside the Ravenclaw Chaser and then handed the quaffle off to him. “I had to do something!” She shouted to him and then sped her way back to in front of her hoops once more.

Oh no, their Chaser was NOT going to be out of play. Elana dove after the Bludger sent at him by Jess, and whacked it instead at Jimmy. He would get it and send it at Jess...who would be very angry with her at this...But they had to protect their players, whatever happens! That was every Beater's duty...

Jess growled at the lack of her team mates Defence. She decided to think of it like footbal. She gladly turned her back on the game and flew over to nancy, "So whats up nance?" She asked as her brain worked out some kinks in her head.

Jimmy glared at Jess, who was persistently making things difficult for their attack. His eyes tracked Elana however, as she flew to intercept the bludger, turning to meet his eyes for a moment before striking it directly at him. While keeping the Slytherin beater in his peripheral vision, he soared towards it, hoping to Merlin that his timing or aim wasn’t off as he swung…

…and connected with the bludger, the impact sending a jarring sensation up his arm as it reversed direction with the force of his blow, streaking incredibly quickly towards Jess.

Ignoring nancys responce, she rolled her eyes after ducking the bludger that Jimmy aimed, and laughed slightly as it hit nancy instead. she zoomed off after Ledgy, her soon to be father. If Nancy, could go after the quaffle and hand it to a player, then she could do ten times that.

Anthony was in the air! As June realized this, she also realized that she should probably let people know.

“Anthony, a Ravenclaw Chaser, is in the air!” she cried. “He has the quaffle, and is flying towards the Slytherin goals, after catching it from Nancy, the Ravenclaw Keeper. And…. Wow… this is going so quickly! Elana and Jimmy, the Ravenclaw Beaters, have circled around him and are corkscrewing around Anthony… All three of them are heading towards Raistlin. And Jess has knocked a bludger at them! ….. and it has been knocked away…”

June sighed. “Oh well, good try Jess. And now, with his Beaters surrounding him, Anthony has scored! It’s okay Raistlin, maybe you’ll block it next time.” June placed a hand over an ear as the Ravenclaws cheered. They could be really loud when they wanted to be. Then she winced. “And Jess’s bludger has been knocked back towards her while Nancy... got the quaffle...

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Once more, while firmly guarding her goal posts, Nancy watched the action in the game. Seeing her friends and teammates once more work together for a flawless play.

She caught the quaffle firmly in her grip as it was heading her way and then passed to Anthony, making sure that he had it in his possession. Once he had it, she went back to her position.

Anthony was well protected, and she was quite sure he would be able to take it to the other side of the pitch with ease.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

After scoring Anthony wasted no time in getting back into position, turning his Firebolt around and immediately heading back onto the pitch. To his amazement what he saw only fueled his standing that he was indeed a part of the most daring team. Nancy their Keeper came charging from her post snatching the quaffle as it was put back into play. A slight laugh escaped him as he watched the scene unfold, such tenacity. But it was a short lived laugh for in the next moment she sent it flying towards him. Nearly losing his hold on the broom Anthony barely caught the quaffle. Securing it he would spin around and rocket off in a barrel roll, beginngin a zig zaging motion as he stampeded down the pitch.

Even their Seeker become part of the play! Rigby had joined in mirroring his every move, zigging when he zagged, and zagging when he zigged. It was bloody brilliant. Surely had to confuse the opposition. As they both zoomed down the field doing their erractic movements Anthony would take precaution and throw in a few dodging maneuvers just for safe measure.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby saw Nancy pass the quaffle to Anthony, and she knew the time had come to lend a hand to her teammates. She pushed her broom faster, rushing to catch up to Anthony. She managed to get there in time, and began to mirror Anthony's zig-zagging motions. They moved in perfect unison, constantly adjusting so that there was always enough space between them. From the crowd's viewpoint the move looked easy and effortless, but it took a lot of hard work to achieve.

Her nose was now completely stuffed up, so she had to fly slightly faster than usual, as her open mouth caused a slight wind lag. She had no doubt she looked ridiculous, but when playing quidditch one couldn't worry about appearences. Rigby caught a glimpse of the new Slytherin seeker out of the corner of her eye, once again mentally praising Elana and her well timed bludgers. What would she do without her incrediable teammates?

They were nearing the Slytherin hoops, and Rigby knew it was time to make her move.

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

After snatching the Bludger they had used to get Rai back before a Slytherin Beater took it, Elana sought out said Slytherin Beater. The play being performed by the Ravenclaws needed each and every one of their players- couldn't have one injured by a Bludger or anything.

Jess...where did you go? she wondered as emerald eyes scanned the pitch. Aha! She spotted her and hit up the Bludger so it was just above her head, then came down with her bat, giving it a hearty WHACK before it flew at the Beater.

Though there were many things she liked about this play, the coolest, to her, was that they got their Seeker so involved. Usually a Seeker would just fly around looking for the Snitch the whole time- not their Kate. She played right alongside her teammates, sometimes bravely being a decoy or zooming in the way of a hidden Beater so that the other would get hit. With this there wasn't as much danger, but she still was with them, which made all the difference.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Watching Kate and Anthony zig-zag below to throw off…well…pretty much anyone who could watch without becoming ridiculously dizzy, Jimmy began to put the second phase of this play into effect. He streaked off alongside Elana and split as they hunted for bludgers, eventually spying one each.

Jimmy signalled downwards at Jess, and nodded to his fellow beater as he hit the bludger directly at the Slytherin player, hopefully buying Anthony enough time to shoot at the goal.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

Rigby suddenly broke off from Anthony, flying straight towards Raisty. Her heart was beating wildly, hoping that she could pull off the play without running into the Slytherin Keeper and Captain. Raistlin was a formidiable opponent, and flying at high speeds directly at him seemed like a suicide mission. In fact, Rigby was feeling a little reckless. She had to fight the urge to laugh hysterically, mostly because it would impede her ability to breathe even further.

She was getting closer and closer to where Raistlin was, and she faught not to squeeze her eyes closed. When she was almost on top of him, she suddenly pulled up on her broom, barely missing him. Her arms shook with the effort, the tension in her body was unreal. Now all she could do was hope that she had cleared the path for Anthony to score.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

As he and Rigby traveled the length of the pitch in moments Anthony once again tightened his hold on the crimson sphere he guarded severely. Continuing their movements until the last minute Rigby then flew straight for the Slytherin Keeper. With an astonished look in his eyes he smiled as the fearless Seeker plummeted straight for the only obstacle standing between him and another score. Taking full advantage of the moment Anthony swerved towards the right hoop, drawing his arm back in a wide high arch.

Another use of his momentum followed and with a powerful heave he would launch the quaffle heading straight for the right hoop. His eyes widened as he looked onward hoping his efforts don't go unrewarded.[
