The Hallows



This class is quite open, and how much you write will determine how many points you get. Minimum points for completing the assignment are 40, maximum 100.


I want you to speculate, think, and use your imagination...


We found out about the Hallows in the last book. The Master of the Deathly Hallows is the Master of Death.


The Peverell Brothers must have gotten these artefacts from someone extremely powerful.


Try and write a short essay about the charms placed on each of the three hallows, what purpose they have, simple or complex, etc, etc. Describe each of the charms in detail. Aim for approximately 200 words per Hallow, but I will be impressed if you do more.


Cite your sources, no cheating, and I expect good use and understanding of English SPaG (Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation). Points will be awarded periodically.

The Deathly Hallows are a combination of three magical items in which placed together make their owner the Master of Death.

Within the original defines, The Cloak of Invisibility, The Elder Wand, and the Resurrection Stone all make up The Deathly Hallows.

In the Wizard fairytale book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, the final story, "The Tale of the Three Brothers", it is in fiction we learn about the Deathly Hallows.


The Cloak of Invisibility: Enables the owner to hide from enemies, or fear themselves, provides an invisible appearance to those who wear it. James Potter had passed down the cloak to his son, Harry, in Harry's first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The Elder Wand: The most powerful wand known to the Wizarding World, any Wizard who claims it will truly become powerful. No witch has ever claimed to own the Elder Wand. This wand belonged to Albus Percival Wolfric Brian Dumbledore, until young Draco Lucius Malfoy disarmed him on the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts during his sixth year. It became Harry James Potter's once Draco was disarmed at Malfoy Manor in the early stages of the Second Wizarding War.

The Resurrection Stone: Is able to bring back those from the dead. Harry Potter had used it before facing Lord Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest towards the end of the Second Wizarding War, to summon his parents, who appeared in spirit before him. It is because of The Deathly Hallows that Harry realizes he must face Lord Voldemort due to his snitch's words, "I open at the close", the Deathly Hallows and facing Tom Marvolo Riddle in order to save the Wizarding World, and die himself (the close).

This is my understanding of The Deathly Hallows.
