It's all about me....

I suppose I'll start out with a little introduction about myself....

My name is Pamela. I just turned 24 3 days ago. I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. I lived in Indiana for the better part of the last 18 years of my life.

I work as a guest service agent and part-time night auditor at the Hilton Garden Inn in Chesterton. It's about 10 minutes from my apartment in Valpo. I moved to the area a little over 5 months ago. My roomate wanted to be closer to her family, and as I wanted an excuse to leave the town I was in for the first 5 years of my adult life, I followed. We were a couple at the time, but we broke up about 3 weeks ago. We're okay for the most part. We'd gotten a two bedroom apartment for craft storage and just in case. I'm getting used to it. We were together for about 20 mos, so it's a little rough.

My mother lives in New Zealand. She's an internet dating success story. She married my stepdad and moved there nearly 4 years ago. My sister is another such story. She lives in Alaska with her husband of nearly 2 years. My father lives about 2 hrs away from me, so he's the closest of my immediate family. I miss them all pretty regularly.

I love Harry Potter (clearly), theatre, knitting, and reading books of all kinds. I'm not much of a party person, although I do go out from time to time. I'm usually just content to stay at home with a nice book.

Anyway, that's pretty much the gist of me. Anything else, feel free to ask. I'll answer most likely, unless it's too inappropriate.

Can't believe you have two internet dating success stories in your family. I thought that only happened in novels.

But then, I also thought that only Eskimos still live in Alaska. I stand corrected.

Ooh and I totally get the book thing. I'd anytime rather curl up in my room with a good book. My parents are always prodding me to go out more. ^^

Nope. Sis is not an eskimo, nor is her husband.

It's not too rough living with an ex. You'd be surprised. The split was amicable; it was just one of those things.

Both of my parents are readers, so they always encouraged me to follow suit. I didn't start reading again until I was 20, though.

I went and took the test to get my learner's permit today. Yes everyone, I'm 24 and have yet to get my license. Anyway, I passed. I just need to bring in a paycheck stub (for proof of address) and my social security card, then I will have one. I'm one step closer to being a licensed driver (and having a car!). Yay for that.

I got another birthday present yesterday. I got a pair of toe socks (my 6th pair this birthday) and an oatmeal raisin cookie scented candle from my front desk manager. I think I've got one more coming from one of my coworkers. I had a pretty good haul this year. My birthday is my favorite day of the year.

Tonight my coworker is bringing in lasagna for us for dinner. He's been really nice to me since the break-up. He wants to make sure that I know that even though I moved up here away from everyone I knew, i could still have a support system here.

It's supposed to snow tonight. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's actually just rain and snow mixed. Nothing is supposed to stick. This is my first winter up north, so I am a bit nervous. It's amazing how much of a difference less than 200 miles can make in the weather. Of course, up here we're right by a rather large lake, so that adds to the cold, I suppose. I think I am looking forward to seeing snow on the ground. And, who knows, maybe my first white christmas in 6 years. That would be nice.

My friend, Mary, bought me some picture frames for the living room. Finally another thing in that apartment that's actually mine. Of course, if I do move to New Zealand like I'm considering, Nikki will probably get a bunch of my stuff. I'll probably let her keep all my furniture and most of my craft stuff. I'll probably take just my clothes, some pictures and frames, a few books, and my knitting needles. I will most likely end up with a suitcase full of nothing but books. Mary also gave me a pine scented gel candle. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I don't care for pine scent. I may put it out for Christmas anyway, though.

Tonight's going to be a very slow night at work. We only have 9 check-ins left. I'm not complaining, though. I could use the slow period. It gets crazy at times when you have 120 rooms full. Tomorrow, I'm working night audit, so I should be able to get a few more classes done. It's hard when the only chance you have to do them is during your spare time at work. It'll melt as soon as it comes down...but too bad you have to work. If you didn't HAVE to be anywhere...you could've made yourself a hot chocolate (or coffee with ice cream and chocolate syrup and caramel syrup and maybe marshmallows but maybe not) and you can sit by the window or maybe stand around outside watching your breath puff, and that feels pretty good. XD

But if it's snowing on your way to work, you can...ah, raise your face to the snowfall and breathe in that fresh, cold smell that only wafts along when it snows... or you can, ya know, just ignore it and brush it off your coat, pretending to be annoyed. Your call. ^^

Ooh and you might be moving to New Zealand? Nice. Does it ever snow there?

I'm quite lucky. Tomorrow, I will have all kinds of free time. Also, we have access to free hot cocoa, and a fireplace. I'll probably curl up and read in a chair next to the fireplace with some hot cocoa. All I'll be missing is a chenile throw blanket and a cigarette to make me look like a younger version of my mother.

I think that it snows in some parts of New Zealand, but not in others. I'm not sure about where my mom lives.

Well, I've got my holiday plans all squared away. My friend Mary invited me to her Thanksgiving dinner/birthday party. Of course, that just sent me into a panic, because I need to get her a gift. I'll probably end up going over early to help her get set up.

Today is my cousin, Jory's 10th birthday. I'll have to remember to give him a call. The next day my twin cousins will have their 13th birthday.

It didn't snow last night and weather.com has taken the snow out of the forecast for tonight. I was kind of looking forward to seeing the snow fall. Ah well. I'm sure there will be plenty soon.

Not really much to update. I'm just sitting here at work, with nothing to do (I can't really start my audit for another 30 minutes). I would work on some classes, but I didn't get to take a nap. I'm way too tired to think right now. I did one, but I can't help but think I did rather poorly. It seems shortwinded (I tend to be rather wordy). I'm the only person who's done it so far, though. Anyway, I'm off to find something to do. Ta for now.

I'm pretty excited. I just moved up to second year!! I signed up for wand examinations almost immediately. It only took me a couple hours to realize that you needed to sign up for them. I was wondering why it wouldn't let me see anything even though I'm a second year now. *facepalm*

I get the house to myself for most of the day. Yay! I get to actually sleep after a long night of work. The other good news is Nikki's mom is going to be going back to her house for a couple days. She'll be back Thanksgiving. She has a lot of health problems, and the water damage, mold, and dust that's in her home doesn't help it much. She's a sweetheart most of the time, but being around her 24/7 has been making me a little loopy. At least things will be back to normal(ish) again for a couple days.

Speaking of loopy, I am in a goofy mood. Maybe it's because I'm sleepy. Hopefully it lasts for a while. The next step is usually grumpy, followed by weepy. Hmmm....sleepy, goofy, grumpy, weepy--rinse and repeat. I don't know why but that spiel had a ring to it.

Sorry for the rambling. I don't usually post twice in one day, unless I have a good reason (or a good meme, but that's not for here). Well, I'm off for now. 14 minutes to go! WOOT!!!

I made some headway with the first level of the wand examination. Not much, mind you, but at least I got somewhere. I don't know why, but I'm nervous. How silly is that? I'm just looking forward to earning some more housepoints. I've only earned 40 so far.

I've only been on the clock for 2 hours, and I'm already ready to go home. I don't feel very well, though. I have to wait until 11. Then Nikki and I are going to head to walmart. We've just got a few things to pick up, then it's off to bed for me. Have to get up fairly early. I want to get some housework and laundry done before Nikki's mom gets there.

The Incredibly Long and Difficult Wand Exam took me about a month to complete, I think. Seriously, it's got to be the longest and most detailed exam on the site.

No need to be nervous, since the professors here are way more lenient than at any other school in existence...wait, why am I encouraging you? I don't want you to do it...I want HUFFLEPUFF to have the most housepoints...right!

But if I tell you not to do it, you won't listen and anyway that'll just be reverse psychology....*exaggerated sigh*

Do it, but in like...6 months. XD

I'm about halfway done with the first level.

So, my holiday was pretty nice. I had a lot of fun at Mary's birthday party. I ate a lot of left overs. Then I ate homemade cheesecake when I was not even hungry. Another Thanksgiving tradition was filled.

Tomorrow, after work, Nikki and I are going to go shopping. Black Friday, ha ha! Need to get some decorations. Nikki wants to buy a couple Christmas presents. It should be a lot of fun. It's her first time, my third.

It finally snowed last night. I was so excited! We had a little dusting. It was so purddy. It's supposed to snow a little tonight and tomorrow morning. I can't wait for Christmas. It should be a fun one this year. Especially since it will probably be a white one! Yay!! :xmastree:

I finished level one of my wand examination. Now all I have to do is get to a computer where the internet won't block photobucket, so that I can include an image. Yay!! The hardest part is over......I think.

I got a new winter coat. It's deep plum. I got a furry purple and hot pink scarf, furry purple hat, and chenille gloves to go with it. I got the coat for $10! When I first saw the price, I thought it must be a mistake. Two days later the price was still there (and surprisingly, so were the coats), so I bought one. Actually, Nikki's mom bought one for me. Now I can be warm. I didn't have a coat that was appropriate for a winter in NW Indiana. It was fine in Terre Haute, and even my hometown of Cayuga, but I was already freezing my bum off in that coat. It's only going to get colder from here.

Anyway, I got another birthday present. I like when people are late getting me things, because then my birthday lasts forever. My coworker, Miranda, got me a votive candle holder set that is really pretty. She also got me candles to go in them and 2 candy bars. Yum.

I'm starting to get sick. My chronic sinusitis and bronchitis are both kicking in. Yuck. I hate getting sick. Ah well, I'll live. Anyway, better go. Happy holiday season to everyone!! :santagrin:

Well, I'm starting to feel a little better. That's good news, at least. The hotel looks so pretty right now. It's all decorated for Christmas. They go all out. We decorate for all holidays, but Christmas is clearly the most extravagant. We have a total of 6 or 7 Christmas trees, 3 of which are in the lobby. We also put lights on the two topiaries that are in the little foyer at the lobby.

I wish that someone would buy me the wand I want for Christmas. It's on Alivans.com (where else?) I wouldn't mind getting a broomstick, but that's even more silly. I won't buy myself anything like that. I'd feel guilty, because there is no way I could justify it. Heck, it took me ages to even buy Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages. Now that I've used the books for research, I feel a little better about the purchase.

I'm really starting to love this site. Everyone here seems to be so nice. As Luna would say, it's like having friends. I'm not used to that happening online. Well, I should be off. Ta for now.

My day off was lovely. We got our tree put up last night. It looks pretty, but we really need to get some more ornaments and some garland. Nikki and I are making no-sew blankets for her cousins. We have 3 out of 9 done. They take about 10 minutes to make with both of us working on them. They're very easy to make, so it shouldn't be too bad to do the remaining 6.

I'm glad I don't have too much Christmas shopping to do. I just have to get something for Nikki, her parents, our friend Mike, and one co-worker for the Secret Santa. I have very little clue what I'm getting any of them, so this should be interesting. Nikki and I will also do each other's stockings as well, most likely. That's not very daunting, though. We'll just throw some candy and little gifts like cheap nail polish and make-up.

Well, back to work I go.

I've got a little more than half of the Ravenclaw scarf I'm knitting for Nikki done. If I work about 2 hours every day, I should be able to finish it in plenty of time for Christmas. I may even be able to spit out a Gryffindor scarf for my co-worker.

I'm really worried about my mother. Her emotional health is significantly declining. I wish that there were some way for me to be there. It's driving me crazy. She seems to be doing a little better again. Hopefully that is the case.

I'm so glad that I have a shorter shift today. I had troubles sleeping last night. I went to bed at 11 and was up every hour except the 4:00 hour. I just want to go home and take a nice nap. Probably won't though. There's some stuff I want to get done.

I was excited to see that I got full marks on level one of the wand examinations. I'm also excited about the person I got for the secret santa exchange. But it's a secret....shh. I need to do some spy-work to figure out what I'm doing. Should be interesting.

We got our first real snow yesterday and overnight. We had about 3 or 4 inches. Not really much for up here, but it's more than I'm used to seeing more than once a year. It's so pretty. :stuck:

Nikki and her mom are back. Nikki was staying with her parents at their house. Her birthday was Monday, so they wanted to be with her. I was starting to get lonely. I am not one of those people who should be alone too long, too often.

Have you ever had a secret you desperately wanted to share, but you knew that if you did, people would judge you, lecture you, or even be afraid of you? Sometimes, I just want to talk to someone who won't judge me or anything, but who also truly cares for me as someone more than an hour's paycheck.

Anyway, enough emo-crap for now. Snow's back. It's quite windy, too. Lake effect snow. Everyone's been cheerful today. It's been quite nice. I'm in a better mood now than I was yesterday, that's for certain. Well, I'm off. Toodles.

It's still pretty out. There's supposed to be more snow moving in today. Or at least that's what I last heard. We're supposed to get 1-3 more inches.

Someone from corporate came in and brought 5 giant poinsettias. They're very pretty, but they've all been put in our lobby, which was already coming close to over-done.

I can't see how I'm going to afford Christmas this year. I'm not even going to go overboard like I tend to do. I'm just wondering how I'm going to get stuff for the people that are buying for me. I really should just sit down and do a budget. It would probably end up easing my mind. Money isn't usually as tight as I think it's going to be.

What do you do when you know that a classmate has plagerized something? Do you just keep silent and hope that justice will come, or do you report it? I do not approve of plagerism. It's one of my biggest pet peeves, but I also don't like the thought of being a tattle-tale. Ah well.

Well if it really bothers you about the plagiarism you can always anonymously tattle-tale...but I would never do that...I would feel weird. I feel like you know what, it's their business. Eventually they'll pay for it, if not by immediate punishment by the administration then by karma or bad energy or hell or whatever you believe in.

Unfortunately the thing I want to talk about is something extreme. Not even sure why I want to talk about it. It's something I don't really want anyone to know. Does that make any sense?

I haven't gotten the chance to see the banner. I wish that the computers at work would let display everything. I also wish that they wouldn't block certain websites (although I do understand why they do that).

What really bothers me about the plagerism thing is in this case, I had put real thought into my assignment. I know for a fact that they didn't put any in. It's actually an old story that I was thinking about recently. Belonging to this site brings back the good memories (and now one of the not so good ones) of being in school. I really missed using my brain for something other than work and insipid game shows.

Anyway, that was rambly. Have a good night's sleep.

The hotel I worked at adopted a family for christmas. They're going to end up with all kinds of stuff. My co-worker, Amy, and I worked on wrapping some yesterday. We'll probably finish them up today. I wish I could have done more for them. I was only able to bring in some stuff in my home that I would never use. I brought a candle set that I ordered and was allergic to, a baby blanket and onesie that I bought for a friend's baby that I still haven't seen (the baby's almost one now), and some Hallmark Barbie ornaments that were my sisters (I have the exact same ones, as well). I would have loved to do a lot more. Next year I'll probably be better able to participate.

It just registered that I have conformed. It has become automatic to me to refer to soft drinks as pop. I used to insist on calling them soda. I don't even think about it anymore. I changed to better fit in to the area. Next thing you know I'll be listening to hip hop, wearing make-up, and keeping my nails done.

Nikki's window should be fixed by the end of the day. That's good. Now she won't have to worry about a snow covered driver seat anymore.

The internet has blocked all shopping sites online. I can understand them not wanting us to do our holiday shopping at work, but how are we supposed to look up where the nearest Cabella's is for guests? Well, I suppose we could use the phone book. It just takes longer, and people are impatient. Especially this time of year.

I'm hungry. The restaurant doesn't open for another hour, though. Blah. Maybe I'll get a bag of gardettos. Well, I'm out.

This is pretty much the way I feel today. I'm just frustrated about things. It's also one of those days where I desperately want to be alone. Unfortunately I'm working front desk at a hotel. Kinda hard to be alone. Ah well.

I'm also feeling a bit lazy. I've spent most of the evening on the stool. I guess we're all entitled to days like that once in awhile.

I'm just looking forward to January. I think things will finally start to get better then. Nikki should be able to afford her entire half of rent and bills. That will be nice. Then I'll be able to start saving up for a move. I don't think I want to share an apartment with Nikki. I like living with her, but when she and her mother are together, it's just too stressful. I think that from here on out her mom's going to be around fairly often.

It's icey out. Yuck. Scary driving conditions. I hope everyone I know stays safe. My sister lives in Alaska. They have pretty much the same weather right now, as us. The sun goes down much earlier and up much later. That's the main difference. It's going to start getting colder soon, though. Then we'll have the better weather. Ha ha!

Blah. I'm stuck at work. I may have to even sleep here for awhile. Nikki really can't make it here to get me until noon. It's icy here, and her car's a little bit of a jerk . She really doesn't want to head out too early.

The guest internet is down for the third day. I really wish that they would have housekeepers put notes to this effect in the rooms. Hopefully it will be back up by the time I get back here. I have the next two days off. I like the sound of that.

I got a $10 barnes and noble gift card for my birthday. I think I'm going to get the final book of the Tir Alainn trilogy. I heartily recommend that trilogy, by the way. It's by Anne Bishop. The first book is The Pillars of the World. I would also recommend another series by her. That would be the Black Jewels series. The first book is Daughter of the Blood. They're all quite good reads.

Well, better get back to my paperwork.

The guest internet is back up, thankfully. I was going to be annoyed if I had to spend another evening trying to get guests to not be angry with the hotel. Last time I checked we have no fiber optics expert on staff.

I'm a little disappointed in myself. I had a long to-do list for myself yesterday. I only got 2 things done on it. I really wanted to get it all done, so that I didn't have to worry about leaving things undone while I was out of town. I guess I'll just have to do them one at a time instead of all on my day off. At least I got my laundry done.

Well, I really didn't have much to update about. I just like keeping this active. Hmm...I think I'm going to get something to eat. I'm a bit hungry.

I'm so excited. The dorm I'm in is finally becoming active. Yay! I've been thinking about going out for quidditch when the next trials come along. I don't know. I'm not a very strong RPer, but that may be because I've never had something I really enjoyed.

My friend, Stefanie is on her way to check herself into the psychiatric ward of a hospital. I don't know what to do. I can't call her from work. By then she won't have use of her cell phone. I can't go down there to see her because it's 3 hours away. I have never wished more that I hadn't moved up here. What if something bad happens before she gets there? Sorry. I probably shouldn't even be posting this here, but I need to talk about it.

My friend is okay. They ended up giving her adivan and sent her home. She's doing a little better now.

I finally figured out what I'm getting Nikki. The best part is, if they have it at one of the walmarts in terre haute, I can stay well under budget. I'd planned $40 for her and it looks like I'm only going to be spending $25. Woo hoo! That means I may be able to get her parents something small.

We're supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow accumulation tomorrow night. I like snow. I'm finally starting to look forward to Christmas. It looks like it's going to be decent. Now if only I could be with my family. Ah well, can't have everything.

It's snowing up a storm here. We're supposed to get 5-8 inches. Earlier they were calling for 6-10 inches, so I guess that's not nearly as bad.

There is a company having a Christmas party until 11:30. They have their children here, too. Those kids are driving me batty. I have quite a bit of patience for kids, too, so that's saying something.

I get to do my annual Christmas-time tradition tomorrow. There's a house in my hometown that puts out wood cut-outs of various popular cartoons. They've been doing a new one every year since the 80s. It's always fun to search for the new one. Although, at this point there are so many that it's hard to figure out which one is new. Maybe they'll have a Cars one this year. Or a Happy Feet display. They both seem fairly logical. Unfortunately, it's always too dark to get good pictures of it. Shame.

My friend, Stefanie, is going to teach me to snowboard Monday most likely. I can't wait. I've always wanted to learn. Hopefully I won't end up in the hospital. Tee hee. I'm getting sick. It's not fair. I don't think I'll have a voice come tomorrow. Dag-nab-it.

So , I made it to the Haute in one piece. I'm going to be here until Wednesday evening. The hearing was this morning. It went fine. Only took about 2 minutes. How annoying is that? I travelled three hours for a two minute meeting.

Got a little Christmas shopping done. We're going to finish up tomorrow. I got Nikki a Transformers shirt, some berry-scented lotion, and a couple little bottles of nail polish. I'll probably get one more little thing.

I'm so sleepy, but I'll probably end up staying awake until 3 in the morning. For some reason, I've been having problems falling asleep lately. THe other day I managed to get to bed by 1:30. That was pretty impressive. I'm hoping to get to bed before 10 at the very latest. I don't know if that's going to happen considering I only have 30 minutes.

oh! i'm sorry to hear that...i kept waking up last night because i'm sick and my throat KIILLED even though I took medicine so it kept waking me up (the medicine was disgusting btw)

I'm not going to be home until tomorrow morning right before work. I wish that I didn't have to get up early, though. At least HOlly's letting me come in two hours late and still get 8 hours anyway. I'll leave at 5 instead of 3. This way I won't be losing any more hours than I already am.

I finally got the score for my wand wood test. Yay! I'm getting close to getting my wand! Woo hoo.

I got all but one of my presents bought for Christmas. I just need to figure out what I'm getting Nikki's dad. I also got Nikki the Pirates of the Caribbean dice game and some balls for her tongue barbell. I got the new Trace Adkins c.d. for her mom. And I got a color-coordinated gift for my co-worker: a pair of brown earrings and a pair of green ones with candles of the same color. I'm kind of impressed with the organization of my gift. It's pretty cool.

Anyway, I'm done being boring. Ta for now!

Several locks on the first floor are out. To make matters worse, there is a family coming in who booked a specific type of room. There is only one of that sort available and it's one of the rooms. Yep that about sums it up.

We had our front desk Christmas luncheon today. We had done an exchange, but some people bought gifts for everyone. That made me feel bad, because I just did the exchange only. Anyway, I got a cute new wallet, a mosaic snowman candle holder, a snowman ornament, a tall christmas candle, a polar bear mug with hot chocolate and tea, and a $25 gift card for FYE (an entertainment store).

One of our regular guests got several of us Mary Kay lip gloss.....including the two guys who work the front desk. I don't think he even knew what he was getting. He probably handed some money to his Mary Kay friend and told her to get a certain number of items, and then distributed them. Either that or he's unaware that lip gloss and chapstick aren't the same and didn't pay attention to the fact that there was a color called Beach Bronze. He has been known to have blond moments, such as nearly supergluing his thumb to the counter and then to his fore-finger. That's another (and quite amusing) story.

Nikki and I are nearly done with her cousins' blankets. Hurray for that one! I'm off the two days before Christmas, so I'll be able to help her out with them and maybe with her other cousin's kimono. Well, back to work for me. I have to check all the 55 or so corporate accounts and make sure they're accurate in the computer.

The first level is quite, ah, involved. It's not too difficult, though. At least, I don't think so anyway.

ooo! yes the superglue story sounds like ti would be hilarious!

Okay, on to the superglue story....

I was working one night and Mr. S came in. He's here about once a week and always seems very intelligent. He usually is able to help people with information. Anyway, he came up to the desk and asked if I had any superglue. We did, so I handed it to him. Then he said that he had cracked his thumbnail down the middle and the person at the tollbooth told him superglue would fix it. So he put his thumb on the granite countertop and squeezed the tube with his other hand. The superglue ended up on the counter with his thumb in it. He managed to get it unstuck (fortunately it didn't dry fast). Then he proceeded to tap at his thumb with his finger to see if it was dry. Naturally he had to pull pretty hard to get his finger and thumb unstuck. It took everything I had in me not to laugh at him.

Well, we managed to get all the gifts done. I finished the last three blankets yesterday, and then we worked on the kimono together. It turned out pretty well.

Nikki and I exchanged gifts today. She got me the 1st and 4th Harry Potter books. I now have them all again. I never had a copy of the first one, and my 4th book got stolen. She also got me a cute glass ornament with a snowman family on it. It's been a snowman themed year for me. The final gift I got from her was a 3-pack of body butter: peony and sweet pea (unfortunately I'm allergic to sweet pea), almond vanilla (yum), and cherry blossom.

She dropped me off at the hotel on her way to her family christmas celebrations. I hope all the cousins like their gifts. I had two gifts waiting for me at work. I got some berry lotion and shower gel along with some soaps (two of which I'm sadly allergic too) from one co-worker and a box of chocolates with toffee and macadamia nuts (yum, yum, yum)

I wish I weren't allergic to so many scents. Especially since I like most of them. It makes me sad. To everyone who periodically checks out my diary:

I'm on the reserves for the Gryffindor quidditch team. I really don't know if I'll ever get to play, but I'm excited. I'm a reserve seeker and beater. I hope if I do play, I do well. I'm a little nervous about the prospect of playing in a game.

I'm the only employee here right now. I'm used to that, kind of. It generally only happens during audit.

I got goosed earlier. Had to do a proclamation of my love for Prof. Binns in the Gryffie common room. Well I could have done either dumbledore or hagrid, but I thought binns would be funnier.

To be quite truthful, I have to wonder if it's fair to use the games as a way to move up in years. I've been doing the games a lot today, but more out of boredom than anything else.

Amy's here, now, so I won't be as bored. Yay for that fact! I wish my roommate would hurry up and get her computer to the apartment, so we can get internet. Then she can join HE and become an active member. I hope, too, that she's in a different house. I like having someone to maintain a friendly competition with. My co-worker joined, but he isn't very active at all.
