Chris Potter's Transfiguration Class

Shadow bolted out of the class again.

Zelda walked in and watched Chris.

"Hello." Chris said to Zelda.

Jamie saw a girl and and his teacher talking and decided to let them talk, he'd just wait outside. He didn't like transfiguration much after-all. Slapping himself awake, he stood waiting for the rest of his class to appear.

Natalie approaches the boy standing outside the classroom. He's a hufflepuff, so he would probably be quite nice to her.

"Excuse me, but do you know where the Defence Against the Dark Arts corridor is? I'm a bit lost..."

Errrmm.. jst around the coriidor i think

"Oh thank you, thank you!" Natalie says and starts running down the corridor for fear of being late on her first day.

Jamie rolled his eyes slightly he loved to help people but it didn't make it anyless funny.

Natalie arrives at DADA, thinking of the kind Hufflepuff boy who showed his grantitude towards her...

Jamie stood outside the classroom, the two hadn't stopped talking yet, Jamie had a feeling that the pair fancied eachother, after a while the books in his arms started to feel heavier than they really were so he gave in and went inside the classroom
"hey sir" Jamie said

"Hello." Chris said. "You can do anything you want right now."

"ok thanks" Jamie pulled out a magazine and smiled behind it , anything to get rid of the conversation spoiler, he thought, then he remebered that this Chris guy was Violets uncle, Uh oH better get this magazine away. he did so and then pulled out his transfiguration book, hoping to get a fue approving looks from the teacher

Chris looked over to Jamie. Wow, just like my Aunt Hermione studying when told he can do anything. That will get him far. Chris thought.

Shadow walked into the classroom with her sister, Raven, and took a seat at the back of the class, having not spotted Jamie.

Eliza walked in and took a seat by herself.

"Welcome to the class." Chris said.

Shadow and Raven looked up and nodded in acknowledgment.

Eliza looked up and said,
"I'm Eliza."

"Hello Eliza, Nice to meet you." Chris said

"Likewise." She smiled. She unpacked her bag.

Chris walked over to his desk and picked up his wand. He pointed it at a chair and said, "Verto ut nemus." (Latin for transform to tree) and the chair started to grow roots and branches and leaves. After a few seconds a small tree stood where the chair once was.

Eliza looked surprised.
"So what are we going to learn to do?" She asked.

"You will be changin your chairs into trees. Just the way i just did." Chris said. "Remember that the spell is Verto ut nemus."

Shadow and Raven watched with interest. Raven seemed confident, but Shadow was biting her lip.

"Verto ut nemus." She repeated, pointing her wand at the other chair. It resembled a large bush, except with parchment as leaves. She sighed.

"Yes that happens if you are just starting to use tihs spell. You just have to keep practicing." Chris said.

Raven pulled out her wand and pointed it at the chair.
"Verto ut nemus." She said confidently. The chair shuddered slightly before turning into a tree with wooden leaves. Raven shrugged.

Shadow tried to do the same, but the chair collapsed in a heap of splinters.

"Ok..." Eliza tried again, but it was a little better. It now looked like a tree, but the leaves were still books and parchment.

"Keep practicing." Chris said. "It will get better."

Raven pointed her wand at her tree and at Shadow's pile of wood, repairing them so that they could try again. This time, Raven's managed to resemble a tree with metal bolts in it and Shadow's just exploded.

"That's ok that happens to everyone. It used to happen to me." CHris said.

"The only comfort we have." She said with a smile. concentrating hard, she said the incantation again, and this time, it seemed to have worked. Only a few of the leaves were bits of parchment. She smiled at the teacher.

"Good job Eliza." Chris said. "Yall are getting better."

She tried to make the others real leaves too, but they exploded. She frowned.
"I wasn't concentrating enough."

"Thats ok." Chris said. "I blew up a whole chair one time and blew the teacvher half-way across the room. I think thats why she retired."

Eliza laughed. "Well, lucky I didn't blow up there whole chair, or you might've had to retire..."

"I might have had to." Chris laughed. "But i have been thrown across rooms before and a lot. I have been in my battles."

Shadow and Raven tried again. Raven's chair ended up with leaves and a wooden trunk, but with a chair like appearance. Shadow's, on the other hand, seemed to come to life. She dropped her wand and encased the rogue chair in a sphere of magic as it advanced towards her.
"Ok, what happened?" Asked Raven.
"Don't look at me!"

Eliza asked Shadow to let the sphere disappear so she could get rid of it.

Shadow nodded and released the magic, allowing the chair to fall back to the ground.

Before the chair could move, Eliza aimed a 'reducto' curse. It burst into dust.

"Thanks." Shadow said softly.

"No problem." She said. "You still wanna try again?"

Shadow shook her head.
"I'd better not."

Chris watched, "Wow, I've never seen that happen before, but good team work you two." Chris added as he saw Eliza helped Shadow.

Shadow bowed her head.
"I can't seem to get the hand of this thing." She muttered, glaring at her wand.

"Its a very complicated spell." Chris said. "Transfiguration is the hardest kind of magic. Some people never learn how to do transfiguration spells. But al you need to do is to keep practicing."

"Practice makes perfect." She muttered under her breath as she tried again. Nothing whatsoever happened.

"Keep trying." Chris said.

Eliza frowned.
"I know..." She gave a dramatic flick, and the chair burst into flame.
"Oh, sugar," She pointed her wand at it, "Aguamenti." The fire was quenched, and she repaired it.
