Tutorial

1. Open a blank canvas at your desired size.

2. Flood fill the first layer with the pattern.

3. Using the rectangular selection tool, on a new layer select a large oblong area in the middle of your canvas. Flood fill with white, and add a drop shadow.

4. Take the circular selection tool, and add two circles – one larger, one smaller – onto the white rectangle, and flood fill these with white. Remember to create each circle on a new layer.

5. I found that adding a drop shadow to the circles left marks on the middle of the rectangular bar, so I duplicated each circle and dragged it beneath the rectangle and then added the drop shadow.

6. Take your first image, and desaturate it. Using the rectangular selection tool, select the part of the image you want shown on the banner and copy/paste it as a new image. Resize it so that it will fit comfortably in the larger circle, then paste as a new layer onto the banner.

7. Do the same for the second image, fitting it into the smaller circle.

8. Create a new layer. Use a large, soft paintbrush in the colour #FF0000 and dot it over the circles. Set the layer properties to lighten at 15%.

9. Add your text. The font settings I used are:

Day Roman, Size 14, #000000, kerning 500

10. To get the look of the ‘echoed’ text, I added a new text layer and increased the kerning. I then converted the layer to a raster, and set it to 10% opacity.

11. Finally, add a decorative brush underneath the text. Merge all layers, and save as a .PNG, and you’re done.

Here is mine, thank god i did a print screen when my psp crashed! I almost lost it at the very end!!!!!

Alright so mine didn't come out the greatest, mostly cause I tired to use paint.net for most of it. Which meant that I couldn't do the shadow and settled for glow instead. And I made it for my rp charrie, plus I think the first picture is more like an oval then a circle XD Oh well.
